Chapter 8
AN: Hey guys, Happy New year! I know it will be after the new year when this chapter is posted, but I did not want to let you guys down. I know I've said it before, but your support is helping me get through these dark times we live in. I'd like to address a few thoughts some of you might be having. The thought is probably about how Hermione and Ron are not getting a romance in this story, how Hermione didn't end up in the restroom crying during the troll incident, or how Ron was not in the Great Hall during the feast. To answer the first two, Hermione ended up in the restroom crying in canon due to Ron stating her to have no friends, which in this story would be false as she does have friends to lessen her quirks to a degree, while she and her friends all didn't really like Ron due to his attitude. As to Ron, his not being in the Great Hall stuffing his mouth is for two reasons, which won't normally come up. The first is that he is still enthralled in Dumbledore's words as if they are law. The second is that his habit of being a human black hole was being put on hold to try to make Vivian fall for him, not that it was going to work. I've already decided who I'm going to pair Vivian with, and before anyone asks, I'm not telling until at least the end of book three. That being said, Let's get into the story!
Platform 9 3/4 London, England January 2, 1992
Vivian was sitting in the train compartment with her friends as she waited for the train to leave to Hogsmead. In the expanded compartment with her was Hermione, Sakura,Susan, Hannah, Draco, Jealter, and Jeanne. Cedric had stopped by to check on the first year Puffs, and expanded the compartment for them. As they were waiting, the girls and boy were playing a game of Exploding Snap, and Jeanne was checking over everyone's homework. When the train lurched, signaling the departure from the platform, one of the girls got hit in the face by the exploding part.
"Why did we decide to play Exploding Snap on a train before it started to move?" Hermione asked as she rubbed the ash out of her eyes.
"Simply because it was something to do." Draco responded back. "Have any of you figured out why it is that Prof. Quirrel seems to be frightened so much?"
'The assumption is that he had a bad encounter with a vampire during his time abroad, but that is likely not the case. I'm more concerned with his attempt to harm me during that first Quidditch game. I believe he is up to something, but I haven't figured it out all out just yet.' Vivian signed out, before facepalming at the fact that two of her friends don't know sign language.
"She said it is thought to be due to a vampire encounter, but that it is not likely to be the case. Ano, what do you mean about him trying to harm you?" Sakura asked as she pulled out a board game that suspiciously looked like Clue.
'He was jinxing the bludger to go after me. I could feel the magic in it. HE is likely after the third floor, but without evidence I have no proof to go on to support this theory.'
"He tries something again, I'm roasting his sorry ar-Ack!?" Jealter began before being once again smacked by Jeanne's Pole arm.
"Mind your toungue, there are children present. Need I remind you of the last time Mother found out that you swore in front of Eu?" Jeanne stated, not even looking up from Hermione's paper. "Very thorough like always, Mione, But do try not to do more than five pages of parchment on a three page essay. Parchment is not cheap."
"Not my fault they don't use notebook paper instead of parchment for notes." Hermione huffed as she picked up the dice to play Clue.
"While that may be true, but I am pretty sure that Prof. Tonks asked you to not go oer three pages. Eu, good gob on it as well. Sakura, Hannah, Draco, same to you. Susan, next time, dont grab your parchment paper while you have wet hands."
"Oh, um... Whoops." Susan rubbed her cheek sheepishly.
A few hours later their game was interrupted as the compartment door opened to reveal Rin and Shirou.
"Eu, I think we might be having a slight problem when we get to Hogwarts." Shirou said as calmly as possible.
"Explain... Now." Jealter growled out, fire forming on her hand.
"I have been keeping in touch with Isha to further my jewel craft training, and she just informed me that Eri will be on the war path for a certain old goat we have all grown tired of." Rin supplied as she looked to Vivian. "If I had to take my guess, he had her library demolished by his White Phoenix Enterprises. He really needs to learn not to do things that will see him in trouble with your sisters."
Jealter paused her thoughts, before laughing. "Hahahahaha! Serves the Old Goat right for trying to stick his nose in other people's business."
"Must he have done that? As long as he left that alone, Eri wouldn't be about to create a storm of chaos for Eu to clean up."
'What an idiot.' Vivian wrote out, unknowingly voicing in her own way everyone else's thoughts.
Great Hall, Hogwarts January 2, 1992
The rest of the train ride went peacefully, aside from Pansy Parkinson trying to force Draco to get away from who she classed as less than dirt. Vivian took exception to that when Parkinson said that 'those who are not part of the PureBlood Elite should drop dead.' The prefect that found the Pansicle outside the compartment was less than pleased to hear about her choice of words after having dealt with the late Ronald Weasley for the same reasons. The twins stopped by, having been enthusiastic about a few pranks they were going to try out, and wanting to warn Vivian so that she could be prepared for when they happened. After arriving back at the castle, the group split up to go to their respective house tables. Dumbledore tapped his glass to get everyone's attention for the returning feast.
"Welcome back from the Yuletide break. Before we begin the feast, I'd like to.." Dumbledore was interrupted when the doors to the Great Hall were almost thrown off their hinges when they were blasted open. An angry blonde stormed into the hall as she carried a double sided lance bigger than her in one hand, and a cage attached to her hip. Her scowl made almost all the professors wish they were in another part of the castle.
"Albus Dumbledore!" Eri called out as she moved to the head table. "You have a lot of nerve having your White Phoenix enterprises tear down the library I was working at. The owner of that library was a Mundane Born who spent ages making a library that had a Magic section underneath the mundane side. They built that library for when children in the area who are attending Hogwarts couldn't get a book they needed from the stores to do their summer homework, and you just got rid of it." Eri stopped as she got to where Vivian was seated. "Did you have a good trip, Eu?" on seeing the nod, she returned back to her angry march to the head table.
"My dear, I have no idea what..."
"Can your lies. I am here for Two reasons. First I have a written order from the board of directors, which appoints me as the new History of Magic professor. Honestly, you should have gotten a new professor when Binns' spirit left his body." She stopped in front of Dumbledore to place the envelope with the order before him. "The second reason I am here is for this. Cuthburt Augustus Binns, appear before me."
Binns immediately floated into the hall and floated before Eri. "My lady, how may I help you?" he nervously spoke.
"You have been forced to wander in the castle for too long. You may rest. In my name, I grant you Passage to Kur for your final rest." The cage on Eri's hip glowed for a moment.
"T-t-thank you, My Lady. Long have I awaited this release." Binns replied as his spirit vanished from the mortal plain.
Albus looked at Eri before making a very predicted move. "My dear, I suggest you surrender quietly, as necromancy is against the law."
"Do learn to not poke your nose where it doesn't belong. " Eri chastised him. "Much like Mother, I am also a goddess, to be more specifically, I am a goddess of the underworld. I have dominion of over spirits, and I can make your afterlife be rather painful if you don't stop meddling in my little sister's life. twice you have destroyed the jobs of members of my family. If I was more agitated than I am now, I would have tossed you to Kita to deal with." Eri muttered that last bit under her breath.
Grumbling to himself, Dumbledore began the feast, before leaving to his office. Curse that infernal woman, claiming like the other to be a divine being when he wasn't. He had to figure out a way to get his pawn out from under those women and under his control, before everything was ruined. He was the second coming of Merlin after all, why could they not see the world was best off under his thumb?
Back in the Great hall, Eri turned to McGonagall. "Might I ask you to show me to a good room to see about setting up for the night? I am actually a bit on the tired side as I have been running from the Ministry to bookstore after bookstore to get the books I will need for class. I will have to start each year from a different point as Binns never taught anything other than the Goblin rebellion of 1812."
"Yes, of course. Might I ask how to address you, as I assume you don't want to be addressed as a goddess to keep it under wraps?"
"I will go by Prof. Eri, Prof. McGonagall." Eri yawned, before dismissing her weapon into blue motes of magic. "My apologies, I did not mean to yawn."
After that, the feast continued on with out a hitch. No one noticed a certain Prof. Quirrel muttering to himself, but Eri did sense the spirit on the back of his head. She knew she could take it, but doing so would put those around her in trouble as well. Her Noble Phantasm did pull her enemies into Kur to unleash massive damage form her domain after all. No need to catch innocent lives in the cross fire. She'd rather keep her master/ little sister from having a massive headache due to the influx of having accidentally killed everyone else in the castle.
Voldemort was not happy. He had to not only deal with a blasted dog that would get his current 'host/ slave' killed and an annoying old man that just wouldn't die, now he had to deal with a bloody goddess of the underworld. He assumed she wouldn't risk causing a scene in front of the children. Bah, cannon fodder, the whole lot of them if you asked him. He would throw all of them in front of himself as a shield against that infernal blonde bint to keep her from stopping him long enough to get the stone. He needed to get his body back so he could kill that infernal Potter Brat. He would let no one stand in his way, not even the divine.
Hagrid's Hut, Hogwarts May 12, 1992
The second semester flew by rather quickly. Vivian and her friends were taking a well earned break from studies, and in Hermione's case, forced. Susan and Hermione were playing Monopoly with Rin and Shirou. Draco was writing a letter to his mother about how the year had been so far, and about how the girls were showing him things he failed to learn thanks to his dad. Hannah was chatting with Cedric as the two worked on the sign language book Hannah got from Vivian for Christmas. Vivian, Sakura, Jeanne, and Jealter were visiting with Hagrid.
'Hagrid, I've noticed it is a bit warmer in here than it was last time we were here.'
"Probably has something to do with that dragon egg he is keeping warm on the fire." Jealter supplied as she took off her coat.
"How'd ye know it's a dragon egg?" Hagrid was surprised.
"You don't earn the name 'Dragon Witch' without gaining a sense for anything draconic. One of my spells lets me boost the abilities of my allies if they are either a dragon or have magic in them similar to dragons. Norwegian Ridgeback, if I'm not mistaken."
"Whoa, I would a turned to ye instead o' those books in te library iffen I'd known ye'd be this knowledgeable 'bout dragons."
"Please don't take this the wrong way, Hagrid, but Jealter is only that knowledgeable by mere chance due to her magics. If not for that, she would have been unable to help you, never mind her disposition to anger at most things." Jeanne said as she took a sip of the tea Hagrid supplied them. He'd come to learn months ago that they figured out about the stone, and that they didn't seem to be worried about it.
"Ano, I think it is hatching." Sakura pointed out, causing Hagrid to get the egg out of the cauldron and set it on the table.
As they watched the egg hatch, a shadow crept up to the window to spy on them. The baby dragon looked at Hagrid. "mama"
"Aw Shucks, he knows his mummy."
"She."
"Heh?"
"The dragon is a girl, not a boy. SHE knows her mummy." Jealter corrected her.
Vivian caught sight of Pansy in the window. 'I think we have trouble.' All eyes looked to the window, causing Pansy to panic and run. 'Hagrid, would you care to have more discussions about this later? I believe we are about to be in trouble with the Deputy Headmistress.'
"What makes you say that?" Jealter was immediately smacked upside the back of her head by Jeanne for being a smartaleck.
"Probably the fact that we are currently out after curfew, and Pansy Parkinson has been a thorn in our sides all semester, right alongside a certain headmaster. I Know you don't like hearing this Hagrid, but the man has his own agenda. He has been trying to get hold of Eu's guardianship for years, got rid of both Eri's library and my elementary school, and was caught by his handwriting giving back a family heirloom to Eu that he had bewitched with numerous compulsions. We don't trust someone who wanted to send our little sister to a relative that encouraged her son for beating up his cousin to, and I quote, 'put the freak in her place.'" Jeanne informed Hagrid as he looked at her. "The only thing our family approves of that he did, was hire you after you were expelled on false accusations by the boy who went on to become the most feared Dark Lord since Gellert Grindewald, both of whom are still alive. Eri confirmed it thanks to her domain."
"Dumbledore is a great man..."
'While we could argue this for hours, I would rather face the headmistress and head to bed. Would you please escort us up to see her? Perhaps we can see about getting you permission to handle dragons on school grounds while we are there.' Vivian interrupted by holding up her note pad. Getting up and heading toward the door, Hagrid picked up the newly hatched dragon and carried her as he accompanied the group back to the castle.
Upon reaching the castle, they were immediately directed into McGonagall's classroom.
"I can't believe that one of my lions would be breaking the rules like this." McGonagall scolded. "Be things as they may, Hagrid, you will be sending the hatchling to Romania to join its own kind. Dragons become territorial, especially the females. That aside, I am most disappointed in you, Miss Potter. I had hoped to not have to assign another detention to you. The three of you will be serving detention tomorrow night."
"I'm sorry, Professor, but I thought I heard you say the three of us?" Pansy asked.
"As good as your intentions were, that does not excuse the fact that you are out after curfew. You will join your classmates for detention. Five hundred points will be taken from each of your houses. Dismissed."
Hagrid's Hut/ Forbidden Forest Hogwarts May 13, 1992
Vivian, while she could be cold to those who earn her ire for saying certain things, was looking at Pansy in concern. The three children, as well as Jeanne and Jealter were outside Hagrid's hut for their detention. Jeanne and Jealter were brandishing their swords. Jeanne knew that her flag would be recognized if she ever went to France, so she stuck with her sword to keep that part of her identity hidden. Vivian and Sakura walked over to Pansy to calm her down.
"Ano, I don't think you need to panic, Parkinson." Sakura spoke out. "Even though we are going into the forest for our detention, I don't think Hagrid, Jeanne, or Jealter will let anything happen to you."
"How can you be so calm about this?! There could be any number of dangerous things in the forest, including werewolves." Pansy nearly shouted.
Vivian signed out to Sakura. "Eu is right. Werewolves would only be a problem on full moons, and we are currently three days from a new moon, which if you had been paying attention in astronomy, is when the moon has the light of the sun blocked by the earth. I'm able to stay calm because I know that the most dangerous thing in the forest would be my best friend, who is currently standing right beside me."
"Don't worry, runts. We've got the dangerous parts handled." Jealter spoke out.
"Listen up." Hagrid spoke out. "Jeanne, take Pansy an' Sakura. you search for the unicorn. Jealter and Vivian, yer wit' me. Somethin's been killin' the unicorns fer their blood. The lot of us are gonna split up to find that unicorn. Ye have yer orders, now let's get to it."
Upon entering the forest, the two groups split up. Wile searching, Vivian felt like she was being watched. Jealter was irritated as time went on, searching the night away until a burst of light was seen in the distance. Heading for the spot, they met up with the other group, finding the injured unicorn. Vivian, upon seeing it was just a young mare, spoke out quietly.
"Be healed."
Upon the words leaving her mouth, the injury sealed itselfe, as the young mare got up. it looked to the source of the magic it felt, before bowing to Vivian. Vivian reached out to pet the young mare, accidentally creating a familiar bond between the two. The mare raised her head, before trotting to stand beside Vivian.
"Ano, what just happened?"
"I think we are going to need to get a stable at home." Jeanne spoke up. "It appears that even if accidental, Eu just got a unicorn to bond to her as her familiar."
'Not purposely.' Vivian wrote out. 'I think the name Dawn will do for her.'
"Quite the luck you have there Vivian." Hagrid spoke out. "Unicorns, much like Phoenixes, will only bond to someone of pure heart. Having one as a familiar will tell others that you are of pure heart, as well as how kind you are, since unicorns are gentle creatures. Having said that though, that injury proved something is hunting them."
"You are right about that. I only just got the person away from Dawn here thanks to a light based spell. Who ever that was, they are definitely going to have a hard life. To kill a unicorn for it's blood makes the blood cursed. While it may save your life, even if you were on the verge of death, it is still considered bad form since to get the blood you had to kill such a pure creature." Jeanne stated as she looked at Dawn. "On another note, Hagrid. There are quite a few spiders here in the forest. I had to kill three pretty big ones earlier."
"Aragog's not gonna be happy 'bout tha'." Hagrid muttered.
"Hagrid, let's take Pansy and Sakura back to their dormitories, before having a serious discussion." Jealter spoke a little coldly. "We are going to need the headmistriss with us for this discussion."
Transfiguration classroom Hogwarts
The assembled group sat at the desks before anyone spoke.
"What was so urgent it could not wait until morning?" McGonagall was sharp toned. (AN: Catnap disturbed. We now return to your regularly scheduled fanfiction)
"The colony of acromantulas in the Forbidden forest." Jealter said with a bland tone.
"Acromantulas?! In the Forest?!"
"Have Hagrid explain Who 'Aragog' is, as I doubt it is the tooth fairy."
"Aragog is a friend of mine. sure he may be an acromantula around the size of a house, but he'd never hurt anyone." Hagrid spoke.
"But what of his children. I had to kill three of them to keep the children safe. This is not up for discussion on him being friendly to you. The colony is a threat to the children. They are likely kept in line by Aragog, but when he passes, they will become a threat to the entire school." Jeanne explained.
"What do you suggest we do then?" McGonagall asked.
"We send Isha or Kita to deal with it." Eri said from the doorway, drawing the attention of the room. "My twin sister, Isha, has a wide area destructive spell. If we get her to hold back on the amount of magic she puts into the spell, we should be able to just destroy the colony and not leave a massive crater, however, it could level the Forest, likely killing all life in it. On the other hand, we send Kita in, whose able to utilize sword techniques so fast the eye is unable to track her blade."
"Yer just gonna wipe out the colony?!" Hagrid bellowed.
"I could do it myself, but I'd rather not. My spells typically utilize the spirits of dinosaurs, or in my signature spell, draws my foe into my domain to do a wide area of damage." Eri explained. "I'm sorry to say but, it must be done. Acromantulas are flesh eating spiders the size of a house if you let them get that big. Please do not cry, Hagrid. I will give their spirits safe passage into Kur for you. In return, I ask that you pick their main executioner. Jealter will be going with to enclose the area in a circle of flames to keep it controlled."
"I don't like this. I can't do that to them." Hagrid cried.
"I will floo Regent Potter in the morning to get Kita here. Let's try to keep from causing to much damage." McGonagall spoke.
'No need to do that.' I asked auntie Amy to have Isha bring Kita here. They will be here in half an hour. I'm going to bed. See you in the morning.' Vivian wrote out before she left for bed, Jeanne and Jealter accompanying her.
"Looks like Eu just made the choice for you, Mr. Hagrid." Eri sighed. "I know you all can't read her expressions like we can, but we have. Eu made the choice for you to save you the heartache. She has always been a kind soul, and doesn't like making others suffer. She doesn't express her emotions due to it empowering her magic, but it was hurting her to have to make that choice."
"I know tha', but Aragog an' 'is kind are just misunderstood."
"Hagrid, acromantula poison is already deadly, add into it that they eat not just insects, but all kinds of meat leads them to be very dangerous. I know you don't want to hear this, but it was either have it happen now or in four years when Aragog would naturally pass from this world. His children would then be a threat to the students. they listen to him about not attacking you, but when he leaves the mortal plane, they will no longer be held back. Jealter and Kita will handle this as a means of protecting the students. As one who is attuned to the land of the dead, I offer my condolences." Eri bowed before leaving to greet her sisters in the entrance hall.
Forbidden Forest
A few hours later, Kita and Jealter are walking through the forest. Having followed the trail of spiders, the two made a perimeter around the massive colony. Finding the entrance, Kita walked in, knowing what awaited her. once she got to the center, she took note of the size of the acromantulas surrounding her. Looking forward, she saw a rather large one approach.
"You are not Hagrid, but you do not seem like the other humans that inhabit the castle." It spoke to her. "Who are you?"
"I am Majin Okita Souji Alter. You may address me as Alter Ego I am a version of Okita Souji that was never truly supposed to be, a mere image, but real all the same. You are Aragog, I presume from your size." She answerd back.
"I am. Why are you here? It is not often people aside from Hagrid visit us."
"Three of your children attacked a group of school children from the castle when they were serving detention with Hagrid. One of my sisters put them down to keep the children safe." Kita replied, readying her blade.
"They dare to attack those who were with Hagrid against my orders, then. I had been told by Hagrid to recall my children to the colony, but apparently some of them didn't listen. I am getting close to the end, and with my time comes the end of my protection for the castle."
"That is why one of my sisters and I are here. Your death will lead to a disturbance that will threaten my youngest sister. I am here as messenger. Your colony is to be exterminated."
"While I do not like your news, I know that my children stepped out of line. I am getting to the point of no longer being able to stop them. they crave flesh, and the castle is full of what they see as perfect spoils. While you do what you must to protect your own, we will be protecting our own as well. Goodbye, Alter Ego. I doubt we will meet again."
With that said, the Acromantulas started to attack, but were cut to pieces before they could move. Hearing the sounds of battle from inside the colony, Jealter set her flames to work making an encompassing flame around the colony. turning around, she saw a few acromantulas coming towards her, before being shot by arrows. Looking in the direction they came from, a centaur herd had arrived to battle the spiders as well.
Inside the colony, Kita had sliced through thousands of acromantulas by now. seeing as they were still coming, she decided to call on Isha, had been floating above for some time now. Fleeing, she looked up and saw the massive gate opening up.
Above the forest, Isha had been waiting on stand by. Noticing Kita start to flee, she readied a gate to Venus. deciding to use her Noble Phantasm on its lowest possible output, she fired, at the dead center of the colony, the blast spreading to Jealter's Perimeter line, and no further. When the dust settled, Isha checked for surviving spiders. seeing none, she floated down to her sisters.
"Could you have been more reckless with that shot?" Jealter snapped.
"I've had time to guage how much power was needed to not cause any lasting damage to the area." Isha Bragged. "You should be praising my restraint."
"Your shot nearly hit me." Kita flat-toned out. "If I had been even a split second slower, you would be explaining to Eu why I was not returning."
"Whatever, have your argument later, we have centaurs behind us." Jealter stated as she readied for a fight.
"Yeah, I think not. you two get on my bow. I'll float out like I normally do." Isha ordered the others as they got out of the area before the centaurs could do much else besides note that the colony that had plagued their lands was now gone.
Mirror chamber Hogwarts June 1 1992
Vivian, Jeanne, Jealter and Eri approached Quirrel as he looked into the Mirror of Erised. The month had gone by pretty quick, final exams lasting not long enough for Quirrel to not be a bit suspicious in his actions afterwards. Having spent th last couple days perfecting the last bit of one of her sister's personal magics, Vivian lead the charge to stop the theft of the fake stone. Though they wanted to come, the rest of Vivian's friends were currently holding one Shirou Emiya pinned to the floor in the Gryffindor common room. The traps, Vivian noted were shockingly easy. She regularly came to play with Fluffy, so he knew her, and she knew his weakness to music. The second trap she could tell was made by her dear head of house, Prof. Sprout. Pomona Sprout had given her nothing but gushing praise for her work with Vivian being second only to Cedric, who Vivian had taken to as if he was her brother. Finding the trap to be Devil's Snare, Vivian just relaxed, as she knew her professor would not want to kill someone, thus would have left room to drop. Jealter on the other hand, set the plant on fire. The next trap had the happy and cheerful Prof. Flitwick's name all over it. The floating keys and the enchanted broom would have been an issue, injuring the rider of the broom, had Vivian not floated on her bow like was taught to her by Isha.
Grabbing the key, she came back down and noted that everything she had gotten through was simple enough a first year with any amount of intelligence could get through. The next trap came to Prof. McGonagall's Chess set. Jeanne took the board as Queen's Bishop, and swept the board in only six turns. As it turned out, Jeanne had been playing Chess against McGonagall on Sundays after breakfast. The troll in the next room was taken out by Jealter as it slept. She flat rushed it and sliced its head off with her sword with a comment of it being 'Too Easy.' The last trap on the way was the Late Severus Snape's Fire blocked Potion Logic puzzle. Vivian had to agree it was too easy as she just froze the flames and walked through to the last room.
"I'm not surprised to see Dumbledore's little Golden Girl be the one coming to stop me. He never could be sensible enough to know when one had the upper hand." Quirrel tried to taunt.
"It would be less surprising if you stopped to think about how our little sister is opposed to a lot of of the headmaster's actual plans, including controlling her through the late Ronald Weasley." Eri spoke as she readied her lance.
"Ah yes, the utter idiot that was that Red-headed Blood Traitor. He was a fool for listening to the words of the headmaster. Being told that even if it involved missing a meal, he was to try to get the girl to turn on her family and friends in favor of singing Dumbledore's praises. I had hoped to use the boy to lure the troll to the Great Hall, but the the idiot got himself killed by the blasted beast. Couldn't even sneak away as that new potions professor reminded people that the Slytherin Common room is in the dungeons."
"While his death did not haunt us, as he was a thorn in our sides everyday, you as a teacher should know better than to endanger the very students you are meant to protect." Jeanne was mad, but kept back to be the shield if need be.
"I'd give up, half wit. By yourself, you are no match for all of us." Jealter was hoping he would be stupid enough to try something.
"I am never alone."
"Let me speak to them."
"Master, you are not strong enough..."
"I have strength enough for this."
Quirrel took off his turban to reveal another face on the back of his head thanks to the mirror reflecting it.
"Vivian Potter." The second face said. "See what I have become thanks to you. Unicorn blood can sustain me, but it is a cursed life. You have plenty of bravery to see me and not be frightened to run away. Your parents had it too. Join me, and I will give you back your parents. All I need in return is for you to get me the Philosopher's Stone."
"That would be a convincing argument except for three reasons. First is that I can call on the spirits of the deceased, meaning that she can speak to her parents any time. Second, that stone is a fake, we confirmed id over the winter break when we spoke with the Flamels. Third is that you are a poor liar. You have been after Vivian's life since the day she was born. Having he join you would be a trap to try and end her life. Nice try, Tom."
"DO NOT SPEAK THAT NAME! I AM LORD VOLDEMORT! KILL THE GIRL!"
"Quiriness Quirrel, Stand Still."
Before Quirrel could move, he was frozen in place. Voldemort had no idea what was going on, as Vivian summoned her copies of Jealter's weapons of choice. Jealter smiled as she noticed what was about to happen. Vivian had a rule that she will not use the actual copies of the weapons until she had mastered the personal skills of the sister the copy is from outside of dangerous circumstances, like the troll on Halloween. Jealter refocused and raised her own weapons and said the chant with her sister.
"'This is the howl of a soul filled with hatred, La Grondament Du Haine!' "
Vivian unleashed Jealter's Noble Phantasm at the same time as Jealter herself. Ephemeral flames shot from the two, surging forward to begin burning at the man and parasite. As the flames eat at the pair, several lances proceed to turn the man into a pin cushion. After the flames die down, the parasite is left as a shade, which proceeds to flee the castle. Vivian afterwards passes out due to the death of Quirrel. Eri had at this point slapped her hand to her face.
"If I had been just a bit faster, I would have caught that parasite. If you were going to intervene at any point, earlier would have been nice headmaster."
True to her statement, Dumbledore was behind the four of them. "I could have, but I was expecting to have to save Vivian myself. After seeing what just happened with my own eyes, I am even more certain that she must be removed from your care." He reaised his wand. "Surrender and leave now. You have no chance of beating me after wearing yourselves out. For the Greater Good, it is in your best interests to not have to fight while worn out."
Jeanne steps forward as she raises her banner. "I am not tired at all. The most I've done this whole time was play a game of chess. Eri hasn't used a bit of magic at all either and is still ready to go. My role here is defence, hers is offence. before you can so much as get the spell you want off, Eri and I can stop it. I suggest you surrender instead."
"I am afraid you force my hand. For the Greater Good, I will defeat you here. I send you to the next world now as you know too much. Avada.." He never got to finish his curse. As he was about to use it, a familiar voice hallered out from behind him.
"Amen. I place my trust in Tenjin of the Tenman Shrine, deity of absolute freedom. Hadoukannon, use my rage to sever all evil. This one blade is my path of emptiness, the culmination of my life! Ishana Daitenshou!" Mia yelled as she unleashed her Noble Phantasm on the old man, severing his link to his magic, unknowingly bonding the wand in his hands to Vivian by default of being Mia's Master/Sister. the force of the Noble Phantasm knocked Dumbledore unconsious.
"Whew, It's a good thing my wandering habit got me separated from Isha, and somehow dropped me behind the old goat. That was one of the unforgivables, if I remember correctly." Mia stated.
"It was Mia. While my twin will be a bit miffed for a bit, how about you carry the old man while Jealter carries our sister. I think we need to go see the Matron of the Hospital Wing, as well as call on Amelia. We are going to be facing quite the headache later. Don't you agree, Dear Heart?"
Mia blushed. "I can do that. Anything to help our little sister. But did you have to use that name? It's bad enough when Eu or Mother use it, I don't need you to do so too Eri." Mia complained as her sisters laughed at seeing her flustered.
AN: Hey guys. I am SO sorry about the delay. I have been running around like crazy trying to keep up wit multiple things at both jobs i work. I never forgot about you guys. If I could, I would give each of you who have shown your support (either trhough having added this story to your favorites list or through reviews) a big hug I would. I know my updates are going to be random due to my busy schedule, but you guys have made it to where I feel better about my day when it gets to be tough. I've said it before, and I'll probably say so many times more. You guys rock!
Quick little challenge for you guys. I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 999. You get three guesses to either guess the number or as close to the number as possible. Whoever can do so will get to help me fan out an issue I'm going to deal with in chapter nine. Best of luck to you guys!
Like always, please remember to review if you liked or didn't like the chapter.
VRDTrio, signing out for now.
