Feliciano continued on his way, but soon stumbled across a familiar face. It was Mr. Roderich-bunny, walking back and forth mumbling to himself, "Oh dear! Oh dear! The king will have my head for sure now, if I don't hurry! But where did I drop those senseless things?"
He seemed to be looking for the gloves and fan he dropped in the hallway. He didn't seem to be going anywhere soon, so Feliciano didn't let his opportunity run away this time. "Mr. Roderich! Where are you going? Who is this king you have to see?" he blurted out. Roderich-bunny turned around and saw Feliciano happily waving his hand at him. The rabbit-man jumped on Feliciano in a furious fit.
"Why Mary Ann! What are you doing out here? Go home this instant and fetch me my gloves and fan! Now!" Roderich- bunny was yelling on the top of his lungs now, as if he was venting some pent up anger.
"I am not Mary Ann," Feliciano retorted. "Nor am I your maid anymore."
"I don't care about that! All I care about is getting my gloves! Head home now!" The rabbit man threw Feliciano his house keys and gave him a glare that sent Feliciano running for his life.
"I'm following orders from a rabbit," Feliciano said as he ran to the Mr. Roderich's house, well at least in the direction that he thought lead to the his house. "I don't think you can go any lower than this, but now that I think about it, it was my fault that he dropped his gloves and fan in the first place. And they did get me out of that hallway. So, I guess getting him new ones is the least I can do." Once Feliciano concluded to this, he spotted a small cottage in the distance. It was cute little house with painted music notes on the walls and a thatched roof. "Oh! How cute!" Feliciano exclaimed. "It looks a lot nicer than that big house Mr. Roderich lived in when I was a little kid." To make sure this was the correct house, Feliciano looked at the address plate on the door, when he was close enough to read it. Sure enough it read:
Mr. Roderich
White Rabbit and Messenger to the King
"So, that's why he's so worried," Feliciano, said when he finished reading the sign. "I hope Mr. Roderich doesn't get in too much trouble when he finally gets to the king. Whenever I'm late for training, Ludwig makes me run five extra laps, which is very difficult for me. But I'm sure the king wouldn't give Mr. Roderich such a silly punishment." Feliciano entered the house and saw that the inside was just as cute as the outside. It was tidy and neat and everything was in a purple color scheme. Feliciano located a staircase and began to climb it, pretty sure that the master's bedroom would be upstairs.
Indeed, it was and Feliciano began to look for the fan and gloves. "If I were a rabbit," Feliciano asked while he was looking. "Where would I put my fan and gloves?" He looked through all the drawers he could find and eventually found the items he was looking for. Feliciano was just going to leave the room when he spied a little bottle that was placed on the vanity. Feliciano exchanged the gloves and fan with the bottle and examined it hesitantly. It didn't say "Drink Me" like the other bottle, but Feliciano was still tempted to try it. "I know something interesting happens whenever I eat or drink anything here, so I'll just see what this bottle does," Feliciano only took a small sip this time remembering what happened when he chugged the whole thing last time. Much quicker than last time, the feeling of being stretched took over Feliciano. He began growing so fast that once he set the bottle back on the vanity he had to stoop his neck in order to not break it. "Oh no no no! Not again!" Feliciano cried. Unfortunately, for him, this bottle's effect was very strong on him. Soon after the effect began, Feliciano had to sit down and hug his knees in order to stay in the room. He tried his best not to ruin the entire room, but that will soon not be an option because he kept on growing.
"Mary Ann! Where are the gloves I sent you for?" Feliciano heard outside the door while his growth spurt was taking place. It was Mr. Roderich-bunny coming up to see what was taking so long. Feliciano held his body tighter together, as if he can hide the fact that he grew to 10 feet in a couple of minutes.
"Um…I...uh..." he stuttered trying to come up with an excuse.
"That's it, I'm coming in." True chaos came when Mr. Roderich opened the door and Feliciano had more room to grow. One of Feliciano's feet pushed Mr. Roderich-bunny out of the house and he could barely comprehend what had just happened. All he knew was that he was kicked very hard by something, heard a bunch of crashes and grunts, and when silence finally ensued, he saw his house taken over by some monster. One leg poked out of the door, another one out of a window on the lower floor, and two arms jutted out of the opposite windows on the top floor. "Ahhhh!" he shrieked, "What happened to my beautiful house? Pat! Pat! Come over here and explain!"
Feliciano was very happy that he stopped growing and that the house was still somewhat intact, but now he was concerned on how he was to get out. "Why didn't I wait until I got outside to try the bottle?" he thought with regret. He soon heard voices bickering outside and resolved to look. There was a pair of shutters in front of him, so he managed to get his giant arms to open them for a view. He saw the now-tiny Mr. Roderich-bunny and a woman who he has never seen before, but she was dressed as a hamster and looked like Mrs. Elizaveta.
"I think they are arms and legs, darling. I can think of nothing else that they look like." The hamster-woman said calmly.
"Who has seen arms and legs that size? They fill the windows, for god sake!" Mr. Roderich-bunny shrieked in reply. Elizaveta-hamster tried to calm him down with a soothing pat on the back.
"I know, but they sure look like arms and legs, dear."
"I don't care what they are. I just want them out of my house."
"I agree," Feliciano added. "It's awfully cramped in here." Finding out that the monster speaks, Mr. Roderich-bunny passed out into the nearby cucumber frames out of fear.
"Oh dear! Mr. Roderich?" Mrs. Elizaveta-hamster said out of shock. She helped the rabbit-man out and began to yell at the monster in the house. "How dare you scare my master like that, you freak!"
"I am not a freak!" Feliciano argued. "I'm just a huge man in a tight situation."
"You are indeed! Once I get my hands on you I'm going to pummel you into a pulp!" Mr. Roderich-bunny yelled once he could stand again.
Feliciano was scared at the threat, but tried not to flail his arms out of fear the house might collapse on him with the force. He watched as the pair argued over a solution, but they soon agreed on one. Feliciano didn't know what was happening except that the couple called over an albino man dressed as a lizard. He looked quite surprised at Ms. Elizaveta's idea, but consented to it anyway. "What are they planning to do?" Feliciano wondered.
He soon figured out their plan when he heard Mr. Roderich-bunny cry out, "That's it Gil-Bill. Go down the chimney and drag the monster out."
"I got it! I got it!" Gil-Bill replied. "I don't think I can do this though."
"It wouldn't be his fault," Feliciano thought. "I'm way too big now to fit in the chimney, even if he could lift me up." Feliciano also wondered if this "Gil-Bill" was associated to a Gilbert he knew back home. This man is not as loud and proud as his other self, but they seemed to have the same look and courage. He began to hear steps above him and scuttling down the chimney next to him. A cloud of soot fell out of the fireplace due to a slip-up from Gil-Bill. The cloud flew up and tickled Feliciano's nose causing him to sneeze.
The force of the sneeze sent Gil-Bill flying out the chimney and into a bush nearby. "Sorry." said Feliciano to the dizzy lizard. Mr. Roderich-bunny and Ms. Elizaveta-hamster helped Gil-Bill up and straightened him out before they refocused on their objective.
"I say you burn the house down!" Gil-Bill growled. "Only a total prick would sneeze the awesome me to oblivion." Okay, so Gil-Bill wasn't totally different to his real-life counterpart.
"No please! You can't burn the house with me inside!" Feliciano screamed in reply. He began to flail his arms in fear, but this just angered the group more. To Feliciano's terror, he watched as the group began to pile up wooden and broken furniture to start a fire; Gil-Bill was even humming a little tune while he planned his giant rotisserie. "Oh dear, this is serious," Feliciano said to himself in distress. "I need to find an escape fast before they boil me like a pot of pasta," He began to scan the area for something of use and found salvation in a carrot patch in Mr. Roderich-bunny's garden. "That's it! If I eat something, it should make me smaller." Feliciano ecstatically stretched his arm out and grabbed the veggie. Once he chomped on the carrot, he began to shrink instantly. That trick worked a little too well, however, because now Feliciano had to escape through a crack in a wall instead of the door. Nevertheless, he escaped the wrath of Gil-Bill's flames and headed to a new spot to rest.
So, uh, four years? Long time no see? So I have finished this story when I started uploading and then kind of stopped uploading chapters. So I doubt it's relevant to anyone that this next chapter is up, but I feel bad leaving a story unfinished. So I'm going to spend the next couple of days uploading the rest of the chapters. I haven't edited this since I wrote this all those years ago, so it'll be like I did it back then. Like a time capsule! So new readers and old readers alike, enjoy!
