Disclaimer: I don't own Bones.
Author's Note: I am having little trouble with When Life is Running Out right now, so I thought writing this one shot would be a good idea. I really do apologize for the waiting, and hopefully everything will just come out right eventually.
In the meantime, I want to know if you want to be a beta for my story, because that will really help me a lot. PM me, or leave a review if you want to help me with my story! Thanks!
But school is starting, and updating will be even much more slower than before. I apologize, and promise I will write and update as often as I can.
And now, enjoy this short one shot of a tragedy story about Temperance and Seeley's baby.
NOT BETA-ED
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Looking at the vacant bed in the baby pink room, Temperance's tears started to fall again. This room had brought back so much memories with Emily, their little daughter. She remembered how she and Seeley would be up all night, trying to make that little monster go to sleep. She remembered how she would see Seeley singing songs to their daughter. She remembered how a cry from Emily, she and Seeley would just run to her sides, to see what's wrong.
She smiled a little bit, but tears just kept falling down.
I should have been prepared for this. I know this would happen one day! Why am I still sad? Why is sadness is overwhelming me? Why? Temperance asked herself silently.
She remembered that day when Emily was diagnosed with Alexander Disease, the day she cried so hard on Seeley's shoulder, while he was comforting her, patting her head with his hand. She remembered how their daughter fight the disease for 2 years, how she and Seeley were by her side, looking at their daughter helplessly, and wishing somehow they could just help her to end all this suffer.
Shouldn't she be happy that it's over for her daughter, that Emily would now get peace? What she deserved?
But she couldn't. She was mad that Emily got the disease, she was mad that she's now dead, she's made at the whole world, even though it was irrational of her. On the other hand, she was sad that her baby little daughter is now dead. She was sad that she would never see her again. She was sad that now her little daughter is gone, the world may mean nothing more to her anymore.
Temperance collapsed at the seat inside Emily's room, where she and Seeley would sit, while watching their baby. She stared at the bed, feeling empty.
"Temperance?" Seeley walked inside the room, looking at his wife, worried. When he got no reply, he kneeled down in front of Temperance, using his hand to lift his wife chin gently
"Hey." He said softly.
"Oh, Seeley! I…I can't do this! I…" Temperance sobbed, no longer able to hold back her emotions.
"Shh…it's going to be okay." Seeley said gently, trying to comfort his wife. He hugged her dearly, and Temperance holding on to him tightly, seeking for reassurance.
"How?" Temperance asked shakily, "How am I suppose to do this? Seeley, I don't know what to do! I feel lonely."
"Shh…honey, it's gonna be alright. You're not lonely; you have me. Emily won't like to see her mother in a mess, she would want you to have a good life, to be happy again."
"But…I can't…Seeley…I can't."
"You can, Temperance. You have to try. And I'll be by your side. We'll help and support each other. We'll be alright."
