Wow! Over a hundred follows and seventy five favorites! Thank you all! I'm glad one of my first stories is getting such a reception! I'm gonna do my best to make this an amazing story for y'all!

Let's answer some reviews!

KorevainsoLightshire: Thank you for the Favorite! I'll do my best to make sure this story meets your standards! And oooh! I like that idea! I might have to do some workshoping, but I think I have a solid plan set up for the third world, and funny enough one of y'all gave me the idea. Not exactly the third world But I figured eh why not, and it might've changed my second world as well. I'll wait until I actually get to the second world to say more!

Guest: To the one who brought up Fairy Tail, yeah you're right. Jaune could possess magic from that world. Damn wish I would of thought of it. Oh well, that's what I get for dropping Fairy Tail when I was younger. I also don't plan for Jaune to be the number one strongest in whatever worlds he goes to. The story will be mostly focused on his interactions with his friends and the smaller impacts on the world around him.

SouthernGentleman21: I did consider a Bioshock world very early on when I was planning this story, I unfortunatly decided to not use them as I have never played the games. I didn't want to put this story on hold for a month while I play through the three games to decide which. Me asking y'all for ideas was mostly because I don't remember every anime and game I have ever seen. Mostly I just figured I'd get that, "Oh my god! How could I forget X!" from y'all. And y'all have helped with that!

XiHeng: Dude I understand you, I used to fall asleep to videos of people explaining the plot of Kingdom Hearts! Difficult is kinda weird for me now lmao. And great suggestions! I can't say which, but your suggestions did remind me of several other anime I watched when I was younger. The worlds I chose did move around a bit, I scrapped the second world (I may keep it for a later one though) and figured out a better plan for the third! Well better than hope I figure something out before I get to it!

SuperSageNaruto: I actually have a plan involving an alternate Jaune! I'll keep it secret for now since I want it to be a good twist! I defiantly will not be stingy with powers, but my world plan isn't simply based on if he can get a power from that world. It is mostly what I think I could write well within and what challenges Jaune would face there. Early Kill la Kill maybe? But later on it gets fuckin insane! Doesn't the MC like cut through an air ship with sky scraper sized scissors? Either way that's a no go from me chief.

ReadYesyes: Lol those are four(?) good reasons! I haven't forgotten any of the background plots I've set up yet. Pyrrha's part of the story might well come into being later on! We will just have to wait and see! And thank you for the compliments!

Baixiaochung2910: Thank

That's all we have time for today! Enjoy chapter three!

Jaune felt anxiety and fear flowing through his very being. His secret was out, he just told the leader and the Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps his story. Jaune left nothing out, telling everything from his leaving of home as an untrained civilian, all the way to the destruction of his school and the hole in his memory.

The hunter in training expected condemnation for his foolishness, he expected an outcry of a teenager making up a tall story. What he did not expect was one of the Hashira to appear in his face wanting to test his skills against Jaune's own skills and aura.

Sanemi Shinazugawa, the wind Hashira, covered in scars and with white hair, was adamant he should be the first to fight. He claimed he was the strongest of the Hashira and that his style was inherently the best since it focused on overwhelming offense.

After Sanemi's declaration of his superiority, Tengen was immediately in his face. Telling him about how his flashyness would outshine Sanemi's brutish swinging of a blade anytime.

Tengen Uzui, the sound Hashira, was a solidly built man, standing at about two hundred centimeters, or about a half a foot above Jaune's frame. His eyes are a dark pink, with a weird tattoo over his left eye in the form of five lines coming from different angles of his eye. The lines ended in big dark pink circles the same color as his eyes. On his forehead was a band holding white stones on the front. The band also featured two strings of light blue stones hanging from either side of the headband. His bright white hair was pulled back in a high ponytail, and looked immaculately kept. Tengen wore the same black uniform the other members wore, but had modified it. He wore just the black bodysuit, with both sleeves gone from it. Instead each arm held a heavy looking gold colored band around his biceps, and around his wrist and back of his hands were two pieces of fabric held tight to his wrists by another golden band. On tengens feet were some sandals, and holding the fabric of his body suit tight against his shins was a red fabric wrapping. The weapons Tengen wielded appeared to be two thick swords wrapped in tape and crossed over his back. They appeared to be connected by a short chain and Jaune instantly categorized it amongst the Hunter grade weapons he's seen before.

As far as sword nunchucks go? Three outta ten, largely impractical it would only raise in score if connecting the hilts together turned it into a bo staff that was also a rail gun.

Before he could try to stop the resultant fight he was pulled away by a giant of a man approaching him. For some reason he was crying and immediately started hugging the teen. Jaune could feel the tears soaking his head as the Stone Hashira, Gyomei Himejima, bellowed on and on about how he was courageous for chasing his dream of saving people, and how his healing skill was truly a gift of Buddha? Whoever that was. The Stone Hashira truly towered over the rest, being easily a half a meter over Jaune. His hair was a spiky black color, across his forehead was a deep scar, and his eyes were a pure milky white color denoting Gyomei as blind. Around his neck and hands were a few sets of red beads. He wore the typical black clothing, with minimal changes to it, his was just un buttoned more at the top of his chest. His shins were wrapped in a white fabric and he wore a pair of sandals without socks. Heathen. Around his shoulders was a dark green coat with some more odd symbols up and down the white lining of the coat.

Jaune was finally spared from asphyxiation by the tall man suddenly pulling away and running away with an "I must pray!" thrown over his retreating shoulder.

Jaune blinked at his back as he stopped before a statue on the other side of the courtyard and dropped to his knees crying something to the heavens.

The blonde haired teen then felt, through his aura, a presence approaching him. Turning around he was greeted by the empty gaze of the Water Hashira, Giyu Tomioka.

Giyu just stared at him with his dead dark blue eyes for almost a full minute. The water Hashira had long dark black hair that seemed eager to break free from its ponytail. His black uniform had no changes to it, maybe being a big baggier in a few places, and the over jacket he wore was split in half in a garish display against fashion. The right was a dark red color, but the left was a geometric pattern made up of bright green and yellow diamond shapes. But at least he wore his sandals with socks!

After staring at Jaune for longer than necessary the Water Hashira nodded once and said simply, "I look forward to working with you," and bowed a minute amount.

"Oh wow! Seven full words! Good job, Giyu, you're really breaking out of your shell there!" the final Hashira made herself known with a hand on Giyu's shoulder and a teasing smile on her face.

She then turned fully towards Jaune and bowed deeply, standing up straight and looking up into his eyes she regarded him with a polite, happy tone and soft eyes. "My name is Shinobu Kocho, but you can just call me Shinobu. I know Master has introduced us, but I feel it's polite to introduce ourselves to you personally."

Jaune blushed fully at Shinobu Kocho, The Insect Hashira, really was beautiful. Her eyes are a soft hazy purple that matched the ends of her hair, it being mostly black and leading to purple ends that framed her face and complemented her looks just right. Her hair was pulled back into a bun and kept there by a hair pin that was stylized to look like a butterfly with purple wings. She wore the black undergarment well and without any changes to it, except maybe the ones to make it fit her small stature. She just barely reached Jaune's chest! The coat she wore over her uniform was longer, almost as if it was a doctor's lab coat. But covered in a design similar to a butterfly's wings. It was white with a web of black lines running across it, near the edges it turned into a soft green, and then a soft pink color. Around the edges of her coat it was lined in black but with circles of white poking through. Her shins had a pair of leg warmers in the same design as her coat, but without the black border across the edges.

"My mother taught me the same, Jaune Arc ma'am," Jaune said stiffly to the beauty in front of him, hand held out for a handshake.

She smiled pleasantly and shook his hand, "My such nice manners. And your hands are just so large compared to mine. I bet you are such a strong man are you not? Especially to almost defeat a member of the Twelve Kitzuki before even taking the Final Selection. My, my, strong indeed."

At this Jaune stopped what he was about to say. Although she had kept the same tone and smile the entire time they were talking, Jaune could sense an undercurrent of something attempting to break through when she commented on his supposed strength. It almost felt the same as the tone the older girls in his school would bully him with.

Letting go of her hand he said his next words carefully, "Well it wasn't just me who killed the demon, miss Shinobu. I had gotten lucky that I countered his abilities so thoroughly, but I messed up on the follow through. If Yang hadn't appeared when she did I don't know how the battle would've gone, the demon was just too unpredictable for me to follow. I'm sure you would've had an easier time than me in slaying it."

Shinobu blinked at him, before covering her mouth with the back of her hand as she giggled. "Such a charmer, and already on a first name basis with Rengoku. My, one could get jealous. You flatter me with your words, but look at you!" She then gripped his bicep with a hand just a touch too heavy, "such big strong arms! Why I bet it would've been nothing to cut through the foul beast's neck in a clean stroke that it didn't realize its miserable life had been snuffed out. Sadly I am much too weak to ever attempt such a thing." She sighed letting go of his arm.

Yeah, she definitely had more going on with her than she would allow to show in public. Jaune just barely caught the beginnings of anger color her tone when she first mentioned the demon. And the emphasis on how strong he was compared to her? Massive red flag.

Stepping back a half a step, Jaune tried to mimic the bow she gave him at the start of the conversation, "As entertaining as this conversation is, I should probably go break up the two of them before they try to kill each other to get a chance to kill me. We should chat again soon, Shinobu." With that, Jaune completed the Arc family tradition of running away from the very scary, very beautiful, and potentially crazy, woman showing too much attention to him.

Jaune could hardly hear her response, but he heard just enough to send shivers down his spine. "Perhaps you should let them, I am interested to see how your healing works with stab wounds. But take care, Jaune. And visit me at the Butterfly mansion some time, I'd love to. Catch up." The way she caressed his name was both exciting and frightening. Sending a prayer to whatever deities rule this world, Jaune walked a little faster to the still fighting Hashira.

"Look at you, Jaune! Already making friends!" Yang smiled at him, excited for her new position.

Yang's outfit had been upgraded with the addition of the shawl that was customary for the Flame Hashira of her family to wear. It was a bright white fabric cut at the bottom to resembled burning flames and dyed a fiery red at the bottom with a few orange accents running on the flames. She was practically drunk on happiness at this point.

Her father hadn't shown up for the ceremony involved with the handing down of the title, and at this point it seemed like he wouldn't show. Even yesterday when Yang returned home with news of her success, Jaune hadn't seen the Rengoku patriarch. Once they arrived at her family home she left Jaune with Senjuro and Mitsuri and went to give word of her success to her father directly. After a few minutes she had returned to the group, a slightly forced smile on her face and the fabric bundled in her arms.

"Yeah, sure." Looking to his right, Jaune spotted Sanemi and Tengen, both were red in the face and hed their sword hilts in a white-knuckle grip. To the blonde's left Gyomei was crying to his gods about the divine gift He had given the Corps. More to the left, Shinobu was teasing a pouting Giyu about something.

"Friends…"

Jaune sighed, this was his life now.

Breathing in light exertion, Jaune straightened up and wiped sweat from his forehead. Ubuyashiki had drawn him away from the start of a party for Yang to test the healing properties of his aura.

Ubuyashiki asked Jaune if he could heal an injured Demon Slayer while he watched. She had returned from a nearby mission, during the same time Jaune left to fight the Kizuki member, in a near death state. The demon inflicted a variety of wounds across her body and even cut off part of her left foot from a nasty surprise attack.

Jaune had tried to ignore the smell of blood and the sight of a too short foot. Laying his hands on the lady's shoulders, the teen repeated the chant his soul gifted him two days ago. After almost a minute of feeling his aura slowly drain, Jaune nodded satisfied and stepped back. The white glow about the woman slowly dissipated and with shaky hands she removed the bandages around her face.

Her face bore a few light pink scars where the demon had struck particularly deep. Frantically pulling the bandages covering the rest of her body and sobbing in relief, the red haired woman revealed completely healed skin. She looked up into Jaune's blue eyes and jumped at him. The red head was all tears and thank you's. She didn't stop hugging Jaune even when the doctor came to check over her previous injuries.

She held onto Jaune until he gently lowered her into her bed. Her foot hadn't regenerated in the same way and as such her gait was still unsteady. Jaune gave her a shoulder pat and a gentle smile and stepped out with Ubuyashiki. After confirming he had above fifty percent of his aura left Jaune followed the boss into a private room.

Master Ubuyashiki then told Jaune the story of Muzan. What the Corps leader had explained in great detail was the family curse left by Muzan. When he had turned into a demon he left a great curse upon his bloodline. The burn scar covering the upper half of Ubuyashiki's face was actually a curse that would gradually grow day by day, until it consumed all of his body and killed him before the age of thirty. And this curse would spread to his son, his daughters would only survive if they married and changed their name by the age of 13. Otherwise they too would die, but by an accident or illness. Ubuyashiki told him about how it was his greatest fear to die without killing Muzan and making sure his children survived. He expressed his dissatisfaction at having to be a behind the scenes leader, as the curse left his body too weak to swing a sword.

He then asked Jaune to try to heal him. Even if it didn't work, then Jaune would still be an invaluable asset to the Corps. Jaune easily agreed and started the healing process. After nearly ten minutes and a two percent charge left to his aura, Jaune stepped back to see his progress.

Looking at the man lying before him, Jaune apologized. "I am truly sorry, master. I used up all of my remaining aura, and yet the most I was able to heal was a two centimeter strip above your eye. I should be able to heal the curse. But it will take a long time. Should I come back in the morning? My aura will have regenerated by then."

"No, my son. While it is true you could possibly rid the curse from my body, I do not know if that is the curse you are healing or the damage it left on my body. I still feel just as weak as before. In a month or so my face might be rid of the damage, but it means nothing if I die in a year from an accident or illness. In that time you could have spent it saving the masses or other Slayer's lives. I could not ask you to prioritize my life above any of theirs. What I want you to do instead is train yourself. I want you to become as strong as possible. I want you to train your body and your mind. And twice every month on the first and the sixteenth I want you to return to this home. I would like for you to heal the injured members who need it, and to learn more traditional methods from the doctors here. But most of all, Jaune. I want you to stay safe. You are now the most important member of our family. And as such you must always return alive and in good health." Ubuyashiki smiled warmly at the blonde.

Jaune was stunned at both the compassion and selflessness of the man before him. Jaune stood and bowed deeply at the Corps leader.

"Then consider it done master. I will do my best to save every Demon Slayer and civilian in my path. I promise to slay every demon and return here. But only if you continue to live, so you can see the day Muzan is slain. The day you and your children walk free to live however you wish."

Ubuyashiki chuckled and patted the teen on his shoulder, "Then consider it done, my son. Don't let our talk bring down your spirits. Go back to your friends, and be happy about Yang's new position, she earned it."

Muzan idly swished a glass of wine around, the memory of his underling playing in his mind on repeat.

His Lower Two had started causing a ruckus a few days ago, all the suffering and grief instantly caught Muzan's interest. The screams and sights had been more than payment enough for allowing his subordinate to go on his errand. The death of a Hashira more than sweetened the deal.

And yet, Muzan's glass cracked, he had allowed himself to die to the daughter of the Flame Hashira and an unknown boy. Now that was rare, a fresh recruit being able to fight one of his lieutenants. And that ability, aura the boy called it, Muzan was practically salivating at the thought of that self healing ability on one of his lieutenants.

His demons could regenerate just as well, if not better than the boy could. But Muzan wasn't focused on mere extra fast regeneration. No, what Muzan was focused on was the other aspect of the boy he had witnessed.

After his lieutenant retreated up the wall, Muzan witnessed the boy flash yellow and deflect a bullet off his head. With seemingly no pain or effort to boot!

The First grinned wickedly. It has been so long since Muzan felt hope at actually meeting his goal. Yet he couldn't stop the feeling from suffusing within his chest. It was simply exhilarating.

Yes, this boy would be his next pet project. How strong would he be once he joined their ranks? Would he surpass the Lower Second he defeated? Perhaps he would even surpass the likes of his Upper One! Or maybe he'd prove to be something all the more valuable to the elder demon.

Muzan placed his glass on the table and started planning his next move.

Perhaps the boy would help him defeat the Sun.

Rising like a great beast from the deep, Jaune groaned and cracked his back. The sunlight coming through the window was far too painful than it had any right to be. The blonde closed his eyes and stretched his arms up high working the last of the kinks from his muscles. Sleeping on a tatami mat was a first for Jaune. The feeling was novel, but not that much more pleasant than an actual bed.

His dreams were nice though, Jaune smiled softly at the memory. He dreamed of better days in Beacon, his friends around and acting goofy with each other. He remembered his nights with Pyrrha on the rooftop, the days spent giggling with Ruby, partying with Yang after finals, and running from a caffeinated and electrocuted Magnhild wielding Nora. The last wasn't as nice or fun as the rest of his memories, nor were the detentions that followed.

The feeling of softness held in his arms through most of his dreams was nice however. Jaune yawned and looked around the room he was in.

After his meeting with Ubuyashiki, Jaune rejoined the party of Hashira. It took him a bit to find them, as they had left the courtyard and moved the party inside. Following the sounds of chaos and laughing, he opened a door to the party of six and considered just closing it and finding anywhere else to be. Inside he found Yang and Tengen chugging wine while a very drunken Sanemi, Gyomei, and Shinobu goaded them on. Giyu was sitting in the corner nursing his own glass of wine.

When Yang spotted him, she spilled half the wine across herself while telling him to, "Get the hell in here shield boy!"

Sitting down next to her, he was passed a glass of wine. He tried to refuse, he was seventeen after all. But Shinobu shushed him by pushing her own glass into his face and forcing him to drink or drown. Taking the obvious route of life, Jaune drank half of it in one go while Shinobu stole his own cup.

From there the party devolved into drunken over embellished stories, slurred attempts to fight from Sanemi, and enough wine to be counted in gallons rather than cups. This being the first time Jaune drank anything more than a sip of beer from his Dad's can when he wasn't looking, Jaune got properly sloshed.

He barely remembered stumbling to his room hours before sunrise. Yang was just as drunk as him and they were hanging off of each other the entire way back, Jaune singing some songs from his world while Yang giggled and kept knocking Jaune into walls the walk over. Jaune fell asleep pretty quickly after reaching his room, the blonde wondered if Yang made it back to her room okay?

Looking around, Jaune didn't spot his clothes from last night. He took off his shirt at the combined behest of a drunk Shinobu and Tengen. Shinobu had been teasing him for most of the night, and Tengen had his shirt off by that point and wanted to compare musculature to the Hunter in training. Jaune easily lost that fight, that man had abs that could shred steel.

The only things in the room with him were a table with a pair of swords and his shield-sheath resting on it, his pants, some extra blankets, and a pile of blankets next to a pajama wearing Yang… wait.

Jaune looked down. Yup his underwear were still on and he didn't feel sore. Pinching his arm, Jaune was rewarded with a small yellow flash. Yup, definitely awake.

The blonde walked over to his pants and put them on with a blank face. Sliding his sword and shield into his belt loops Jaune made one last glance around the room to confirm he gathered his belongings, before making a silent and hasty retreat.

He opened the door to an attendant raising their hand to knock on the door. In her hands was a light breakfast and a change of uniform. The young man looked down into the attendant's eyes, the attendant looked up into Jaune's eyes. A beat. The attendant opened her mouth to blurt something out, finger pointed and face raising in temperature. Jaune, face pale, placed his palm over her mouth and pointed over his shoulder at the sleeping Yang.

Yang had shifted in her sleep when the door opened and her light pajamas almost revealed entirely too much for Jaune's poor soul. The attendant stopped what she was gonna say and gave Jaune a sly look. Jaune shook his head, already trying to cut off the thought before it could get voiced. The attendant smirked, she clearly drew the wrong conclusions. Preparing to step out and close the door to explain just how wrong she was, he was instead interrupted by an all too smug and teasing voice.

"Oh wow, I was right. You do move fast Arc. My, my, and here I thought you were different. I guess what they say about men and their one track mind is true." Shinobu giggled in an entirely unconvincing attempt to hide her amusement at his situation.

Jaune immediately blushed bright red and started stammering out his denials. Until a still sleeping Yang mumbled out, "Come back to bed, it's so cold." She immediately went back to lightly snoring after sealing Jaune's fate.

Jaune snatched the shirt from the attendant's hand and took off down the hallway, yelling apologies and objections the entire way.

Jaune sat patiently in front of Yang. The gentle spring breeze blowing around them, bringing with it several leaves and the scent of flowers around the Rengoku house training yard. The young Hunter in training was wearing a white suit, called a Gi, and listening to Yang explain his new training regime.

Every morning he was to wake up with the Sun and begin stretching. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday he would sprint the twelve kilometers to the nearest mountain, where he would run up and down it for eight hours each day. And the path was littered with dangers and traps both ways. After his runs he had to do five sets of eighty push ups, one hundred and twenty sit ups, sixty handstand pushups, sixteen minute planks, eighty pull ups, one hundred hanging set ups, and push the boulders at the top of the mountain around the house at the top twenty times! All while apnea training!

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday he was to return to the Rengoku household and begin practicing his katana swings. He was to do whatever he was taught that day in sets of a hundred, all day. Afterwards he was training his reflexes with various games. Followed then by training his aura by covering a variety of objects while Yang tried to break them with a training sword. After that he was to meditate with his aura until bedtime.

Sunday was a rest day with some light sparring with either Mitsuri or Yang. And he was expected to follow through with this training on the days where Yang was out Hunting.

This was it. Jaune was going to see the Brothers. The blonde was considering if he should pray to that Buddha guy Gyomei worshiped when Yang threw a training sword at him. Jaune struggled to catch it and sent Yang a confusing look when she huffed at him motioning for him to stand.

The Hunter in training stood, sure in his thought of this being payback for the rumors that were probably spreading through the Corp even now. The rumors even somehow beat them home! Mitsuri was giving them a weird look, while blushing so hard her hair looked closer to white than pink in comparison. Spreading rumors wasn't the intended use of their messenger crows!

Yang then motioned at him, "Get in your stance, Jaune. I want to properly test your skills before we start with sword training." Jaune nodded, spreading his feet and holding his sword diagonally across his body. One hand reached to grab his shield, before realizing his shield was currently in his room. Putting his other hand on the hilt, Jaune got ready for an intense and painful training session.

Instead Yang just sighed and approached him, shaking her head the entire way.

"Spread your legs wider!" She whacked him in the thigh. "Stand head on, you aren't fighting with a shield!" Another whack, this time to his ribs. "And hold your blade firmly! Tuck your elbows together!" Yet again, a whack to his arms came alongside the advice.

"For shame, what was your partner teaching you? She must have been coddling you, not even knowing how to stand! Fine, we start at the basics." Yang then maneuvered her body into a well practiced beginners stance. "Since you mentioned your sword was of a western design, we will start with the basic of techniques. How to slice!" So she was definitely mad at him then.

Yang then moved her sword above her head, blade pointed parallel with the ground, and swung. At least Jaune assumed she swung her sword. It mostly looked like her sword blurred forward, kicking up a gust of wind as it followed its intended path. She then looked towards him expectantly.

"Er right." Jaune attempted to strike like she showed him, only to get a swift knock to the back of his head.

"Watch more closely, Jaune. When you swing a katana you have to hold your arms and body differently. First off keep your wrists straight, it keeps the cut clean and even. Next tuck your elbows in, keep them almost touching while you swing. And don't just swing your arms! Push forward with your top hand while you swing! It adds power all the way through the spine of your blade. Good, now repeat!"

Yang watched him swing a few dozen more times, training sword reaching out to smack him back into position every now and again. Jaune hadn't even started sparing, and yet his aura had dropped to eighty percent!

Jaune swung for what felt like hours, but was more realistically ten to twenty minutes, before getting the sign to stop from Yang.

"Okay, you're getting the basics of how to cut down. Now it's just about applying that to every swing you make!" She then led Jaune through a variety of attacks, each one quick and aiming for the swiftest end to the imaginary opponents. Of course each one was repeated no less than a hundred times.

By the time training had finished for the day, the sun was an hour away from setting. Yang clapped her hands once to get Jaune's attention.

"Alright, so, slight change to your schedule. Each day before you leave for the mountain, take the training sword with you. You will be required to practice first your slice, then you will run through your Katas no less than a hundred swings for each. Do this after you finish the rest of the training. Once you have done this for a suitable amount of time I will find you. And then we can move to the next step." Yang then grinned widely and with far too many teeth showing.

"Breathing training and practicing Flame techniques! Now get some sleep kohai! Your real training begins tomorrow!" Jaune gulped and bowed once to his teacher before fleeing for dinner and a night's rest.

Jaune gulped for air at the top of the Rengoku training mountain. He had done it! His first day training under his hellish taskmaster and Jaune had survived! Sure he had thrown up three times and collapsed six times, but he got right back to it afterwards! Thank the gods for aura! If it wasn't for the miracle stuff flooding his body every few minutes, Jaune was sure vomiting would be the least of his worries.

The blonde teen took a moment to admire his surroundings. The forested mountain he stood upon lit up so beautifully with the Sun setting providing just the most perfect backdrop. Listening to the sounds emanating from all around him, Jaune could pick out the sounds of several insects chirping. The owls starting to awaken and letting out their own morning whos. The strong breeze provided just enough comfort to the teen to almost pass out against the boulder he stopped pushing.

Groaning, Jaune got to his feet, but not without several muscles and joints crying out their protests the entire way up. The Hunter/Demon Slayer in training made it to his cabin and fell into the door, opening it by coincidence. The inside was rather spartan, only containing a freshly made bed, wood burning stove, and a rough table to eat at. Walking around the outside of the cabin, Jaune found no wood pile already built for him. Looks like tomorrow he was adding wood chopping to his routine.

Making his displeasure known to no one, Jaune opened the first of the prepackaged bento boxes and screamed to the unfeeling ceiling above him. Yang had handed the blonde his bento's while he was leaving. And decided to add one last way of getting her frustrations out.

His bento boxes were filled with rocks, each and every one of them. And the top one held a note in it. "Just so you know, Demon Slayers are expected to fend for themselves. Oftentimes when we are sent on long missions we end up camping out and hunting our own food! Use that title of yours for once, and Hunt yourself down a meal!" It even included a little chibi Yang drawn to the left throwing a knife into a rabbit, with a thumb held out in Jaune's direction.

For once, Jaune was glad he didn't know his semblance. He could let himself imagine he just activated it, and it was the ability to choke people out over long distances while yelling at them.

Letting go of his anger in one big sigh, Jaune crumpled the note and overturned his bento boxes. Walking towards the side of the house, the young Arc found the only thing sharp enough to help him hunt down dinner. The old woodcutting ax.

Hopefully hunting, killing, skinning, and cooking a deer was just as easy with an ax as a knife.

Happy Hunting, Me.

Passing the entrance to the Rengoku household, Jaune collapsed to his knees. Dry heaving into the ground, Jaune considered if it was worth it. Maybe Shinobu's teaching style would be easier than Yangs? No, at least Yang's was taxing on his physical body. Shinobu's would test his blushing limit, and his mental facilities.

A shadow loomed over his treacherous thoughts, peering up he was greeted with a smirking Yang.

"Have fun on your first solo training Jaune?" She laughed heartily into the air. That was a good sign, maybe her anger had left her over the past three days.

Course a quick test of her anger was in order, he raised a single finger to her.

"Cute." She rolled her eyes. "Stand up, Jaune! I'd like to hear about how you fared! And don't be afraid to tell the truth! To be honest, no one makes it through the first week without missing a few workouts. As great as the human body is, it simply is too taxing to start such a difficult workout out of nowhere."

Jaune raised an eyebrow, "Uhh I mean it wasn't that bad? The running was, as a Hunter in training, it was mostly strength training for me. Since I was much more of a stationary fighter. But the rest wasn't too difficult. I regularly weight lifted with someone who could easily bench over two hundred. And that was before she used her semblance!"

Yang just looked at him incredulously, "Jaune, you can tell me the truth. The routine I gave you was also increased a little bit more out of anger. So there is nothing wrong with needing to cut down on some of the workouts."

"And I'm telling you I did them all. I have aura, remember? After each workout, I just rested for a couple of minutes focusing my aura on healing. Then I was good to go. Don't think I didn't notice there was anger in your intentions either. I mean really, filling my bentos with rocks? And leaving me an ax as my hunting tool? Not cool! The only reason I even survived up there was because I figured out a thing with my aura to muffle my steps! Next time either send me with food, or actual hunting equipment!" Jaune huffed, crossing his arms and frowning to the side.

"Wait… you actually hunted with an ax?" She busted out laughing, slapping her knee and doubling over. "Oh my god! AHHAHAHA Jaune! Did you check the cabinet to the left of the door?"

Jaune blinked, "Uhh no should I of?"

Yang nodded, still smiling. "Yes you idiot! Hahaha! It holds a flint, a knife, and several throwing pins to kill smaller animals during fall months!"

Jaune groaned. He figured after the rest of what Yang did to him that the cabinets were empty!

Yang wiped tears from her eyes and regarded her newest student. Actually keeping up with what Yang, a Hashira god that title still sent shivers down her spine, used as a workout routine was impressive! It seems like she needed to up both her of their routine's, she couldn't be out done by her student on his first week after all!

"Come on, Jaune. Go take a shower and change into your Gi. We are gonna run through more sword swings for a bit, but I think you deserve a reward for following my orders to the letter. Today we will take a half day! Enjoy it while it lasts! I am gonna be upping your sets tonight!"

Jaune's secret is revealed! And what's this? They didn't care? Well not exactly, his story is quite tall but their boss seemed to believe Jaune and he did possess a strange ability. We will see more of the Hashira as this story continues, but they all have their own schedule and responsibilities. At this point in the story there is six Hashira, their numbers have dropped and Snake boi, Mitsuri, and Mist kid are not Hashira yet. So when a potent healer, who can heal seemingly any injury in seconds, who can also fight halfway well comes along, they don't turn him down. It's simply easier to just categorize him as eccentric and move on.

Before anyone says anything, no Shinobu isn't crushing on Jaune. Her personality is the teasing kind. She does have a complex about her slight frame, and is envious of her fellow Hashira's taller statutes and strength.

And Jaune can heal the curse! Maybe? We will never know! The boss is simply too caring to test such a thing!

Jaune finally starts his Demon Slayer training! And it's not as bad as he thought? Well yeah, Demon Slayers are naturally focused on dodging attacks and aiming for a single quick strike to the neck. Hunters naturally focus on a different fighting style. The Grimm are usually based off of animals and have a variety of weak points. Take the difference in their initiations.

Jaune fought a giant scorpion with claws bigger than himself and bone plating so thick they had to hammer its stinger into its armor to kill it. An attack so powerful it shattered the stone under the Death Stalker. The only demon the mangaka saw fit to show us from Tanjiro's Final Selection was bigger than a human, but only just. Tanjiro had to slice through a neck half a meter thick. Certainly impressive, but no where near the same in terms of difficulty.
