Reading/Watching Fate Stay Night Visual Novel
Sooooo….. I had a stupid idea in my mind after reading too many characters reading/watching their own stories fics so I wanted a fic where Shirou and his friends got through the entire visual novel and see all three routes. Wrote this "story" just to scratch that lil itch. Wont know if this'll ever get updated, but I'll try to make this a full series if time allows me to. If you wanna do something like this too, then go ahead! You'll probably do much better than me lol. Anyways if you do end up enjoying this, make sure to tell me how good or bad this was : )
Disclaimer : I own nothing.
(CHAPTER 0)
He was asleep. All night fixing stuff would do that to you. Or at least 'trying' to fix stuff. It has started to become a bad habit of his. After his secret night routine, he would often spend the rest of his nights in the shed trying to fix 'junk' as Fuji-Nee calls it. His 'talents' helped him see and understand said junk much better than your average person. At least his 'useless' skill, as Kiritsugu put it, is helpful in this regard.
"Senpai?" A soft voice chimed.
Since he spent the majority of the night, trying to fix this stove, he was understandably tired. So despite his early wake up schedule on normal days, this morning he was a 'little' bit sloppy. Since he slept so late and that too ended up sleeping in the shed, he was understandably going to wake up a 'little' late. Perfectly understandable right?
"Senpai? Please wake up, Senpai" The soft voice chimed again. This time a little more assertively. He recognized the voice as his junior, Sakura Matou.
Ah so Sakura is already here? Man he must have really slept in since he usually tries his best to wake up and start preparing breakfast before Sakura's visit in the morning.
'Oh well, I guess it can't be helped' thought Shirou Emiya. He went extra hard on his regular nightly routine last night and even tried to do some repairs until very late. He must have exhausted himself and fell asleep right there in his tired state.
Surely he would get just a couple more moments to fully wake up. Surely sweet Sakura would definitely give him some precious moments to let him gather himself and fully wake up.
Right?
Unfortunately for him, Sakura wasn't the only one there.
"Oh for the love of- WAKE UP SHIROU!" A loud voice shattered his early morning bliss like a roaring beast in a jungle.
Shirou Emiya jolted awake with a surprised look on his face. What he saw wasn't just the sheepish face of his junior Sakura, but also the rattled yet annoyed face of his sister/guardian aka one and only Taiga Fujimura.
"Eh? Fuji-Nee? What are you doing here this early?" Asked the confused Emiya. His confusion understandable since this tiger in human form wasn't one for early visits.
She was one that arrives neither early nor late. She arrives precisely when she means to. Those times just happen to be the moment he and Sakura finish preparing breakfast.
Before Fuji-Nee could answer his question, another voice interrupted her.
"Ho… so is this how you get woken up each morning Emiya? With a beauty like Matou whispering in your ear like a loving wife? My aren't you the lucky one!" Shirou turned his head and saw the smug smirk of one Ayako Mitsuzuri.
"Wha-what? Mitsuzuri why are you…. Here….?" Shirou's question died in his throat as his drowsy mind finally woke up and he realized his predicament.
He wasn't in his shed, let alone his home! And why were so many people here with him?
As he looked around, Shirou could only see white as he and a bunch of people were in a humongous room with nothing but a screen and a very large couch facing it in a 'U' shape. None of which he had seen before so it all felt so foreign to him. As if he was in a whole new dimension.
What also baffled him was that he wasn't alone here. 'Guess this isn't a dream then' he mused wryly.
Along with him, Sakura and Fuji-Nee there was Mitsuzuri who was smirking smugly at him. Remembering her earlier comment brought a blush on his and Sakura's faces along with their stuttering denials which Mitsuzuri thoroughly enjoyed.
Beside her was the school idol, Rin Tohsaka who seemed to be deep in thought.
Then there was his friend Issei Ryuudo aka the Student Council President. He seemed to be just as baffled but was trying to hide his emotions under a cool façade, and was failing miserably at it as he was just roaming his eyes all over the place.
"E-Emiya do you know where we are? How are we here? What is this place? I see no entry or exit!" Issei was beginning to lose his cool.
"C-calm down Issei! I don't know anything about this place too but panicking about it won't help at all!" Shirou tried to reason with his friend.
Finally when it looked like things were beginning to calm down…
"Hello! Nice to meet you Oni-chan! I finally found you!" A young cheerful voice approached him.
Shirou looked startled at the unknown albino girl who greeted him so familiarly.
"Um…. And you are?"
The albino girl smiled cutely and bowed gracefully.
"My name is Illyasviel von Einzbern. Nice to meet you" The young girl, now named Illya introduced herself. Her mannerisms and behavior made everyone wonder about her as she clearly seemed from a high class noble house.
No one noticed, Rin Tohsaka stiffening up on hearing the girl's name and giving her a wary glance.
Rin Tohsaka was NOT having a good day.
Not. One. Bit.
With the Holy Grail War nearing its commencement soon, she has been quite stressed preparing for it, what with it apparently resurfacing decades early than its usual pattern. Not to mention her legal guardian and magecraft mentor, Kirei Kotomine breathing down her neck metaphorically by constantly pestering her to summon her servant already.
The nerve of that man.
The Holy Grail War was a very delicate matter where one mistake can lead to her untimely death so she didn't want to rush into things half assed. She didn't do half assed. She does her best to fully prepare and perform accordingly. Decisively and elegantly.
Stupid Kirei. What did HE know? That fake priest just wants to see her suffer for his amusement. But she'll show him! She'll wait till all the conditions are perfect and then summon the strongest servant out there – the saber class servant of course!- and blow Kirei's expectations out of water! Then he'll learn!
At least that was the plan.
What she never expected was to suddenly wake up in this desolate humongous room with no entry or exit along with these people from her school for SOME reason!
'What the hell is this place? Some kind of magecraft? A bounded field? A reality marble? How the hell did I get caught up in this? How the hell did they get past my house's security wards? How did they do so without my notice? Also why are there so many people here who are most DEFINITELY unrelated to magecraft ? Why involve them into this? Do they WANT to expose the secret of magecraft? What kind of self-respecting Magi does that? Is this some kind of sorcery? Why is Sakura here? AND WHY IS A FREAKIN EINZBERN HERE?' Rin wondered with a "calm" head.
Seriously what the hell is going on here? Even for a magi of her caliber, none of this was making any sense!
Suddenly the lone big screen in the room lit up, catching everyone's attention. It displayed a clear message.
"Now that everyone is here, pay attention as this message will not be repeated. On this screen a particular sequence of events will play out. Go through it completely if you all ever want to return to your regular lives, unless you wish to be stranded here forever and die a slow, miserable death. Then be my guest haha. So start reading my dear test subjects, as in the name of Kaleidoscope, for this vital research of mine, I present to you a vital glimpse of a reality very similar to your own. So similar that it might as well be your future. Lets see how you cope and learn from it. Now lets get STARTED! - Zelretch"
As soon as the words "Kaleidoscope" and "Zelretch" appeared on the screen, Illya and Rin stiffened. This was bad… they were dealing with someone MUCH worse than either of them had ever thought of. With someone of Zelretch's stature and caliber involved, they effectively had no choice but to follow his demands. Such was the level of one of the only Sorcerers in the entire world. The master of Second Magic was not to be trifled with in the slightest.
"Pfft yeah right. What nonsense! This seems like some elaborate hoax or something! No way in hell is this nonsense real!" Ayako as someone who is unfamiliar to the world of magecraft, was naturally in disbelief of this situation and was skeptical about this. Ryuudo and Taiga also shared her sentiments.
Rin decided to take matters in her own hands as quickly as possible so as to not incur the wrath of a being like Zelretch.
"Mitsuzuri-san. I believe we should follow through with these instructions. All of us got brought here without our knowledge. This person could have just as easily harmed us but chose not to. Probably for this very reason. And even if we DON'T believe this person, it doesn't change our current predicament. We are still trapped in a fully enclosed space with no visible entry or exit. We should play along, just for keeping ourselves safe" Rin tried to reason with them. She wont reveal the existence of magecraft just yet, but if the need comes up, she might as well have to as long as Zelretch's instructions are being followed. She would rather play along with this whole set up rather risk incurring his wrath.
Tohsaka's logic as well as the undeniable truth that they are quite literally stuck in this place, convinced Ayako, Issei and Taiga to follow along. After all if their captive could kidnap them with such ease and capture them in such a bizarre place, then who knows what else can he do? Better to play it safe and just play along for now.
Meanwhile Shirou stared at Rin, impressed by her level headedness and calm demeanor. Illya had a look of understanding, whereas Sakura seemed to be completely stoic, as if bottling up her emotions which thoroughly confused Shirou. But as soon as he about to ask her whats wrong, she eased up as if nothing happened. And moved to sit on the couch with Taiga leaving Shirou just a tad bit flustered but he too decided to join the others as playing along right now does seem to be the best course of action.
And if something went wrong, the future Ally of Justice vowed to keep everyone safe, even if it cost him his life. His magecraft may be 'useless' but he'll fight with his life, if the need arises.
So with everyone settled, it finally began. Their experience. Their reading/watching of...
"Fate Stay Night : Visual Novel"
(CHAPTER END)
This is a stupid idea I had in mind so I wrote it just to scratch that itch. I don't see many (if any) watching/reading fics of the fate series let alone the freakin visual novel lol. And understandably so because it is MASSIVE! As much as I would love to take on this huge endeavor, this might just end up as nothing more than a one shot. And even if I do decide to continue it, the updates will be SCARCE lol. If this shit chapter of mine inspires anyone to do something similar like this (even the UBW anime if not the WHOLE VN lol), that would be pretty amazing, not gonna lie.
Lets see how this whole thing pans out lol.
Peace out.
