Promises BrokenWhen John was a child his father had always made him say the day he was going to do something. Eying him until John had promised to do it on Wednesday even though it was Tuesday night and it certainly wasn't the easiest way to say it.
But once John had said it that was it, they both knew he would do it.
It was his father who had told him that no matter how many time he promised he'd do it tomorrow, 'tomorrow' never got there. By the time it did it was 'today', tomorrow was still a day away.
Despite this though he doesn't feel remotely guilty as he looks Elizabeth straight in the eye and swears that he'll do it 'tomorrow'.
Will start seeing Heightmeyer 'tomorrow'.
Will stop sleeping in Rodney's room 'tomorrow'.
Will stop looking for the physicist around every corner 'tomorrow'.
Will forgive himself… 'tomorrow'.
