Cor sighs as he sits at his desk. A new day and new work to be done. He doesn't even get his computer on when a city officer slaps a file down on his desk. He look tired, he must have been working all night. "What case is it for?" Cor asks taking it.

"The robberies." The officer says, Cor stops and stares. Again? So soon? They have a pattern, why aren't they sticking to it? "These are the some of the witness statements from two nights ago. The important ones who actually saw something." The officer turns and leaves Cor's office. When the door close to his office he sits back, as he opens the file. The crime lately has been high, especially in that area, which is worrying to the council. Especially Regis. Ever since this group of robbers started their run there have been a list of casualties. He's been working on it since they have been robbing priceless artifacts from the museum like crowns of kings from before Somnus took over.

First he reads the report. Security has been pushed for every museum. It seems they got into one and stole Somnus's clothes and accessories. Regis isn't going to like that. But he still doesn't know if it's the people he is looking after, what if it's a copycat, riding in the craziness of the other group? He reads the first few reports. Describing the same weapons as his group of robbers. The Same P90 viper, Famas 5.56, UMP 45 and FN FAL. Now those aren't uncommon with criminal but it's the detail that some people remember like the laser sights that make it specific. Or how one of them, who Cor can assume is the leader of the heist group has a strap for a very shiny Desert Eagle that he doesn't use. It's them. One reported seeing a shiny gun on one of the robbers thigh holster. Cor sighs.

The heist went bad but they ended up with what they want. They got the past kings belongings, luckily nothing with magic was given to the museum but it still all belonged to the royal family. They got chased down the street by some officers who put in their report the gun models. One of them has some explosive so they let those out as they ran. Shooting at the police cruisers pursuing them. Civilians getting in the way. This was getting serious. They were escalating.

Cor looks at the name, Prompto Argentum. It rang a bell. He reads the report. It seems, Prompto got a look at someone suspicious around time it happened.

Prompto.

Prompto.

Prompto.

He knew that name, but from where? Maybe he's heard it being spoken to him? For now he sets it aside to get to the others. The rest describe the same car, and the same answer of seeing four men, differentiating in size running, all with guns. He might have to call Prompto back down to describe in detail the man she saw.

"Marshal," Cor looks up to see none other than Ignis opening the door and walking in. He gives the glasses wearing man a nod. "His majesty wants confirmation that Somnus personal affect were indeed stolen by the serial robbers."

"Yes, to both. His things were the only thing taken and it was our serial robbers. Still not a single inch closer to catching them. Though there might be hope with this one." He grabs the paper he set aside, showing it to Ignis. "A Prompto Argentum may have seen the face of one of them before the chaos happened, maybe she can describe the guy she saw to us."

"Prompto?" Ignis asks wide eyed. He closes the gap between him and the marshal to grab the paper. He looks at the name, it does indeed say Prompto.

"You know her? The name seems familiar to me but I can't place it." Cor shakes his head, hoping it will remind him.

"Yes, she is Noct's friends. The one we haven't been able to locate." He looks at the paper to see it describe why she was there, and what she was doing while it happened. It says that she works at the diner and she was working during the accident. "Do you mind keeping this silent for now. Don't contact her, she might not help, why don't I do it." Ignis says.

Cor just stares at him. If she's friends with the prince why wouldn't she help? "Can I ask why?"

"Her and Noct may have had a falling out of some sort. She won't answer when we call, or text. She seem to be avoiding us. She is also is skittish. She might run if you or someone from crownsguard comes close." He answers, pushing his glasses closer to his face. Cor nods. Alright. He can do that. He doesn't need to see her now, what if she just saw a random man who had nothing to do with the heist?

"Okay. I'll leave her alone and to you."

"Thank you marshal." Ignis says handing him back the paper. He looks at the time to see it's early. Noctis is at school, so he's got a few hours.

He gets into the car, the regalia, and drives over to the diner. He sits on the curb watching the front door, able to see through the windows into the dinner. It's not full, there were a small amount of customers. He takes his phone out of the center console storage. He does some research on google, it's a newer diner, the other restaurants on this street have been a here for years. It's open from ten in the morning to one the next day. It's seems to be popular.

He sets his phone back on the center console storage. He looks up, not realizing how much time actually past. Noct will be needing to pick him up from school. He turns the car on again, eyes landing on a woman running towards the door of the diner. Just in time, it's Prompto, her hair is longer, going way past her shoulders, she still has those uneven parts in the front of her face that make it stick out, as Noct would say, it looks like a chocobos tail feathers. Her eyes are still bright and beautiful. She does seem to look different from afar but her face is the same. Ignis smiles. Glad to know she's alright. For a second they were all worried something bad happened but when they saw her name listed in the names of this years high school graduates they knew nothing bad happened to her. But then why didn't she answer their calls and text? He watches as she disappears then reappears with an apron and note pad in hand. She watches her work for a while before driving away from the diner to pick Noct up.

He drives Noct back to the Citadel to get some princely work done. After that, five hours of hard work, Ignis drops Noct off back at home to rest, though he never would. Not with Noct worried about Prompto still. He thought about telling Noct but like he told Cor he doesn't want to chance her away. When Noct is situated at his home Ignis left to check on Prompto. He got there, a little to the side of where he parked earlier. He saw Prom working hard.

He wonder if she's happy? Was she not happy with them? What did Noct do? He sees a woman, dressed like Prompto come up behind her, tapping her shoulder. Prom looks behind her and smiles her usual happy smile. She nods and they switch place. Again, like earlier that day, she disappears then reappears, she shouts her goodbye to the others, leaving with a purse which makes him smile because she use to laugh at all three other them, saying she is never going to buy a purse, she'll stick to backpacks. Wonder what changed?

He watch as she makes her way down the street, fading into the distance. He sits up, turning the car on and driving alongside her. He follows her to a bus stop, following the bus she went on, then her stop, down a dark street into an apartment complex. It wasn't in a typically safe neighborhood, but that's not what he's confused on. Doesn't she life with her parents? Why is she in an apartment complex. Did she leave? Why? Something must have happened, but what?

He's about to get out and talk to her but his phone rings stopping him. He knows that ringtone. The most recent Assassin's Creed game theme. He sighs and answers the phone. "How can I help you your highness?" Ignis asks. He listens to Noct rant about how he forgot to grab a piece of paper from his office at the Citadel. "I've got it." Ignis answers, ending the call and getting back into place. Turning the car back on and leaving.

He'll see Prompto another day.
