Regis rolls his eyes as he bounce Astrum on his lap. His grandson a very happy and playful baby. The exact opposite of Noct who was quiet and... not that much has changed. Even as a baby he loved his naps. Regis smiles as Astrum bounce his legs wanting the king to continue. The king of course does. How can he deny his grandson? Plus he's rewarded with a smile.

After spending time with the blonde he can say for sure Astrum got his smile from his mother. Everything else, looks wise, the baby got it from Noct. Some aspects might grow more as he matures. But only time will tell. Regis looks over to Noctis, then back to Astrum. Rolling his eyes again.

"Must you sulk like a child?" Ignis asks stepping up to take his seat next to Gladio. The advisor had gone with the shield to pick up Iris. They had just gotten back.

"I don't understand what has you this upset?" Regis says focus on bouncing Astrum, who squeal at the action, having fun.

"You're acting more like a baby than Astrum is." Iris points out. Gladio covers his mouth, snorting into his hand. Ignis nods giving his 'you're a grown ass man act like one' face. Honestly Ignis can talk with just his face.

"Iris!" Clarus hisses at his daughter. In response she shrugs it off. She's just speaking her mind.

Noctis slumped back into the seat at the dining table next to his father who of course sat at the head of the table. Noctis crossed him arms over his chest with a frown on his face. The frown so deep he looks like he's closing his eyes.

Regis decides to focus on his grandson instead of son. The former of which is in a better mood. "You can't be mad about a couple pictures." Gladio says looking at the prince from across Ignis. "So what if she has some baby pictures?" Gladio wonders.

"Dad could have scared her off." Noct mutters, sliding down his seat a little more. Regis pauses to stare at his son.

"How much do you fancy her?" the king wonders. It must be a lot if he's acting like this over one simple meeting. Though he suppose it's not really a simple meeting to Noctis.

"The answer is in your hands." Noctis says, uncrossing his arms and holding his hands together on his lap. The princes eyes trained on his hands as he not dares to look up. Embarrassed by admitting it to the table (besides Ignis who already knew) but also for saying something so cheesy in front of his father.

Regis looks at his grandson still smiling at him but bouncing, wordlessly asking him to continue. This much huh? The king starts to smile which causes Astrum to giggle, pacifier falling from his mouth, the moogle clip having it hang by his stomach. "Alright." Regis says. He won't apologize for wanting to know the mother of his grandson or the lady that has captured his son's heart. He can see where his son is worried about. Having been king for so long that he sometimes forget that he's intimidating and as king he's suppose to be. For Prompto who isn't use to the way higher society works it must be scary. It's impressive that even though the blonde was scared she powered though.

"Speaking of, where is Prompto?" Ignis wonders. Regis shrugs.

"She had said she was going to buy something for a school project and would back by dinner." Regis answers holding Astrum close, the baby touching Regis growing beard, eyes looking at the advisor. Ignis takes out his phone.

After a while he turns to Gladio. "Voicemail." he tells the shield. They both knew she would answer, especially from Ignis. The mood now getting worse.

"Dad," Noctis calls staring at Astrum, "eyes." Noctis says. Regis moves Astrum to get a look at the child's face.

"Oh." Is all Regis is able to get out before Astrum starts crying and screaming. Quickly Regis stands to comfort the child but he doesn't calm down. Instead of resting him on his shoulder Regis moves Astrum to rest his back against his chest, facing the table, rubbing his stomach. Giving everyone a look at his eyes. Glowing a bright red. They all stare in shock. They knew Astrum is connected to the crystal but to have his powers activated so young, they didn't know it was possible.

They all jump in their skin when the thunder rolled in from nowhere. Then the brightest flash of purple tinted lighten lit the already lit room. Silence filled the room.

"That... that sounded close." Iris points outs as she turns her head back to the table, away from the window.

"You might want to check that." Regis suggest. The young ones all stare at him questioning. Regis looks down to Astrum who stop crying and is happily playing with the sequins to Regis suit. Astrum looks up with a smile, babbling something happily like he wasn't just crying up a storm a few moments ago.

"Astrum caused the lightning?" Iris asks for them all. Regis just nods, staring at his grandson just as shocked as the others.

"He must be worried about his mother." Clarus says staring at the child. Ignis stands up putting his phone in his pocket.

"Let's go Gladio." Ignis says running towards the door. Gladio behind him.

"Stay Noctis." Regis says seeing his son start to get up. Noct looks at his father like he's grown animal ears on his head.

"Why?" Noct asks wanting an answer.

"Because you're agitated. Calm down." Regis explains, expression calm which agitates Noct even more because can anyone be calm in this situation? Ignis and Gladio are to. They looked it at least when they left. Noctis eyes go down to his son, the baby staring at him with a child like curiosity.

Noct takes a deep breath to calm himself down. His father is right. He is agitated. With Prom seemingly missing then Astrum using the crystal so early there are many things to work him up. Him causing trouble won't help anyone, specially not Prompto. Though he does hope she's okay. That was a big and strong bolt of lightning, she could have gotten hurt. No. Noct takes another breath, shaking his head of negative thoughts as he sits down.

"Calm?" Regis asks his son. The prince only nods. "Who would have thought Astrum can already use the Crystal." Regis says proudly. Stunned by the revelation but still very proud.

"The council will hear about it, a single lightning struck during clear skies." Clarus points out.

Iris frowns. "They are not going to be happy about learning who caused it." she shakes her head.

"They are most likely freaking out now about who they think caused it." Noct crosses his arms over his chest. The council is afraid of the mysterious entity (to them) that is connected to the crystal.

"Telling the council about Astrum seems to be the best choice." Regis says.

"Can't you wait longer?" Iris asks for Prompto but also because she's worried about the baby but also Prompto.

"Holding it off might make it worse later." the king says. Iris looks down sadly knowing it's true.

"They aren't going to like it." she says softly.

"They aren't going to like a lot of things." Noctis points out.
