Noct looks around. Sitting at the table with Prompto next to him.

Here they are at Mrs. Cruz's home. Which really is right next to the Argentums. Then it hit Noct. After getting kicked out this is where Prompto lived. With these people.

"Really, I saw the news and I thought I was seeing things." She says setting a bowl of rice and chicken in front of them. "I'm glad that you are okay. How is Astrum. I'm sure he's grown big." She smiles at the blonde and goes back into the kitchen.

"He's fine. He's being spoiled." She says. Mrs. Cruz laughing in the kitchen.

"That's good."

"How's Jamie and Mira?" Prompto asks. Noct just takes a look around the house, it's so different compared to the Argentums. There were pictures everywhere. Colors and toys on the couch and floor. It actually looks like a home where people live in.

"They are fine. Jamie misses you, says it's boring without you around and Mira misses playing dress up. If you aren't to busy you should come by and see them. I've said it before but you are always welcome here." The older lady smiles at Prompto. The blonde lets out a docile nod and smile. With one bowl in hand Mrs. Cruz uses the other to pet the blonde hairs on top of Prompto's head. Prompto looks up to see the older woman staring down at her will what seems like love and care in her eyes, and the blonde doesn't know why.

"Who's Jamie and Mira?" Noct asks disturbing the moment between them.

The lady just laughs, letting Prompto's hair go and sitting across from the prince. "Jamie is my younger brother. Our parents died during the war so he was left in my care. We came here where I joined the Kingsglaive to support us both. Mira is my daughter."

"You are in the Kingsglaive?" Noctis wonders shocked. Prompto starts eating as she listens.

"Not anymore. My husband and I were both Kingsglaive but we left."

"Why?" Noct asks, he's never met someone who would leave the kingsglaive willingly.

"I never really wanted to be a kingsglaive, it was good money and really good benefits for my brother. I did meet my husband then. We got along well with the others, but we both didn't like Druatos. There was something off about the man, but no one could see it. We stuck it out. When our hearts weren't in it we left. We did what we wanted to. We felt bad about leaving when Niflheim was getting ready to invade but we wouldn't do anyone good. Looks like everything worked out in the end though." She smiles.

"Where is everyone?" Prompto asks.

"Jamie is having some club meeting. Mira is out with Jose for their father daughter date. So I have the house to myself."

"About to watch some telenovelas?" Prompto smirks at Mrs. Cruz, who smirks back.

"Of course. What else would I watch?" She asks sarcastically.

Noct eats his meal, eating the vegetables when he sees Mrs. Cruz glaring at him when he pushed them away. She threatened to smack him with her leather sandal, raising it up in front of him threatening and it worked. Rather than having a rifle pointed at him, he'd say a leather sandal is far scarier. So Noct ate his vegetables for the second time in the year, as Mrs. Cruz and Prompto talked to each other. It seem they really got a long. But that's to be expected, the woman took care of Prompto after she lost almost everything. It made the prince feel better knowing Prom wasn't alone.

It sucks he didn't know but Prom didn't tell him so he can't change that. And Prompto seem to be doing well for herself, she could be better but at least she wasn't in a bad situation. It could have been worse and now that's all in the past. She's there with him.

"Oh! That reminds me." Mrs. Cruz says getting up and going down a hallway, opening a closet, closing the closet, then coming back. "I was getting my camera developed and I got pictures of you Prompto. I didn't know I took so many. I know you like pictures so here." She says setting a stack in front of the blonde.

Curious Noct looks over to see the first picture is during the night, it's of Prompto with a young girl on her back. The smile and expression Prompto gave looked like she was nervous, about maybe having a picture taken of her instead. Prompto takes the stack and slowly goes through them. There are a lot more than she thought there should be. Still wanting to see Noct leans over to take a looks at them. "There are so many." Prompto says.

"You were with us for almost five months." She smiles. "Those aren't all the pictures. I have some hanging up. My favorite ones."

"Really! With me in it." Prompto looks at the older woman alost appalled by the idea.

"Of course, why wouldn't I?" Mrs. Crus tilts her head like the idea was so foreign.

"I just thought Jose didn't like me. He never acted like he did. You both took care of me out of pity right?" Prompto asks, the older woman looking at the blonde astonished.

"Not out of pity, but love. How can anyone with a heart leave you, a young girl out on the street to fend for yourself? I was there when the Argentums came with you cradled in their arms. But nothing much happened after you grew up. They weren't around. I was always worried. I knew you had a good heart and always wished I could do more but couldn't. Then I did. We took you in. And Jose was just nervous around you. He wanted to be closer but he wasn't sure how you would react. We didn't know how you got pregnant. We were worried it was something bad so Jose didn't want to get to close to you worried he would make you feel uncomfortable." She smiles at them.

"Oh, he was?" Prompto asks shocked as she look back down at the pile of pictures, a little embarrassed.

"Yeah, we didn't want to pry so we never asked but we slowly learned that wasn't the case. We didn't know what happened but we got that it wasn't bad." She smiles at the blonde.

"This brings back memories." Prompto smiles down at a picture. She shows Mrs. Cruz the picture, her smile turned more happy than it already was. Then she shows Noct, who takes the picture. Prompto sat on the couch, in the living room, a blue blouse, and leggins maybe, but Noctis eyes landed on the large round stomach of Prompto. She was smiling in the picture, one hand rubbing her round belly while the other one is holding a small girls hand. She looks so happy and glowing.

They talked a little longer with the pictures. Noct trying to look at all of them. There was a slow progression of Prompto's baby bump developing. It's was cool to see. Knowing Astrum was there, growing inside her.

"Bye." Prompto hugs Mrs. Cruz.

"Come back again. I would love to talk more. Bring Astrum too." She smiles.

"I'll see. My schedule has been all over the place lately." Prompto says.

"That's fine. Whenever you are free, come by." She smiles at the blonde. She then leans into Noctis. "Remember my warning young prince." She whispers threatening. Noctis nods. "Get home safely." She smiles as she waves the two goodbye. Like she didn't just threaten the prince of Lucis. But Noctis actually doesn't mind. That just shows that there are people out there that don't care about status and that she cares about Prompto.

"Thanks Noct, for bringing me here." Prompto says, sitting down in the passenger seat of Gladio's jeep, looking down at the pictures she still has in her hands.

"It went a lot better than I thought. We were just going to get your things then come back." Noct shrugs.

"Still, I'm glad I got the things that couldn't be replaced back. And I'm glad to know she cared. I always thought that she just pitied the girl next door who was always alone at home. When she first told me to be at home I couldn't. It didn't feel right. I felt like I had to hurry and get out because secretly they just wanted to get rid of me but they never rushed, they helped with the decisions I made." Prompto says.

"You stayed for five months though." Noct wonders about that. He's not clear on the whole timeline.

"When I learned I was pregnant I talked to the counselors at school for an alternative. After two and a half months of being pregnant that's when my parents came back. I thought they would be a little supportive but I was wrong. Mrs. Cruz said she heard them yelling at me and that's when she took me in. She helped talk to counselors about me finishing school. She said if I needed to I could stay and finish school after Astrum was born but I felt like a burden and didn't want to overstay my welcome. We talked and so I took my classes in person until I couldn't, switching to online. At the same time I got a part time job at the diner for stable income so I can move out. Mrs. Cruz didn't let me, not wanting me to forget my education. So I registered for online community college. She was satisfied with that. When I got the apartment she helped me move and furnish things. She was there when Astrum was born. I haven't seen her since she dropped us off from the hospital." Prompto smiles. Noct smiles too.

Prompto wasn't alone. Prompto was loved. Prompto was cared for.
