"Aw, I really wish I could go to." Iris whines. "It's going to be so boring."

"Astrum is still there with you." Prompto smiles, standing in front of the king holding Astrum. Iris looks at the baby, all smiles and giggles.

"That's true. I have some outfits if like to see him in. I get to play dress up." Iris smiles.

"He's not a toy." Clarus tells his daughter.

"Send me pictures." Prompto just smiles. Iris brightens, giving her father a look, having gotten permission.

"Be careful on your journey." Regis tells all four of them.

"We will dad." Noct says walking down the steps in front of the Citadel.

"Bye." Gladio says as he follows Noct.

"We will be back." Ignis says bowing slightly at them all, turning to join Gladio in his descend down the stairs.

Prompto grabs Astrums face, littering it with kisses. "I'll miss you but be good for your grandfather." She says laying down another layer of kisses, Astrum giggles, grabbing for her, and giving her a slobbery kiss himself. She beams at her son. She looks up at Regis. "We'll be back." She tells him. Regis smiles back at her.

"We'll be waiting." He says. Prompto stands straight. She looks over at Iris, Clarus and Cor. She's got nothing to worry about.

"See ya when we get back." She says turning to go down the stairs, far behind the others. "Remember those pictures, Iris." Prompto says taking one last look at them before turning to run down the stairs.

"Remember your training! All of you!" Cor shouts.

"Watch the road!" Clarus shouts.

"Mind your manners!" Regis shouts mostly to Noctis but it wouldn't help to remind them all.

"Bring back souvenirs!" Iris shouts as she jumps up and down excitedly, waving her arm back and forth. Clarus turns to give his daughter a look, to which she just grins.

Prompto looks around, watching as the city of Insomnia goes past them. "I don't think I've ever been in the regalia with the roof down." She points out. "And it feels like there's so much space in here." Prompto says from the back, next to Noctis. Ignis driving and Gladio in the front passenger seat.

"We left the car seat at the Citadel." Gladio points out.

"Oh, right. So... this is really happening?" she asks them.

"Yup." Noct answers.

"Say goodbye to Insomnia, we won't be seeing it for a month and a half."

"And a half? We'll miss Prom's birthday." Noct says looking up from his phone.

"It's okay. We can always celebrate it when we get back. Or not. It doesn't really matter." Prompto says with a smile. She already going on this trip, that's plenty.

"But-" Noct starts but Gladio interrupts.

"If we're on the road we could pull over and do something." He suggest.

"That's fine with me. Three is better than none." Prompto smiles. Noct wanted to give her something more than that but she's happy so that's good. "So where to first?" Prompto asks.

"What is our itinerary like?" Gladio asks, all ears on the advisor who planned and coordinated their journey. They all know where their destination is but not the route to get there. They are all curious to what is their first stop.

"First stop is Galdin Quay to get a ferry to Accordo, to transfer ferries to Succarpe in Niflheim, there we take a train to Tenebrae." Ignis explains from the top of his head. Prompto stares at Ignis driving.

"Sounds like a long journey." Prom says.

"Nervous?" Noct asks looking at the blonde, game on his phone paused. With her head down she nods. The blonde looks over at the prince.

"I've never been out of Insomnia." she tells them, knowing they have all been out of Cavaugh, she knows she was born in Niflheim but she was brought to Insomnia when she was barely a year old. She doesn't remember, and she's lived her whole life in Insomnia. The Crown City is her home, it's all she knows. Noctis stares back at her, trying to think of something to say. Iggy looks at her through the the rearview window. Gladio turns in his seat to face her.

"You're not the only one, there are a lot of people who have never been out of Insomnia. Iris hasn't." Gladio tells her with a smile. She turns to him, smiling back. Happy that the monster of a man is trying to make her feel better.

"After this you have." Noctis points out. Prom turns her smile towards him, the prince making a good point.

"Let's enjoy our trip, shall we?" Ignis says.

Prompto looks over at Ignis resting his head against the steering wheel. Then she turns to Noct standing behind the regalia facing down the road. Lastly she turns to the right side to Gladio, with his shirt off, wearing a black wife-beater as he stood on the road facing the same way Noct is. Both men have been trying to flag someone down.

Prompto open her mouth but Ignis stops her, "don't even Prompto." the blonde frowns. How did he know she is about to say something. He really does have eyes on the back of his head.

"I didn't say anything." she points out.

"You were." Ignis says sitting up, fixing his hair slightly.

"Duh, our journey just began and the car broke down." Prompto say watching Ignis push his glasses back in place. "Wasn't the Regalia the Kings? How can it break down so easily? We just got out of Cavaugh and into Leide, we aren't even half way through our journey." the blonde says exasperated. And she knows it's not his fault, or any of their faults, they all thought this would be a smooth sailing trip. What could go wrong? The car breaking down apparently.

"The Regalia was made for the city and short travels." Ignis explains turning around to face her. Prom takes a second to think about it.

"Makes sense." Prompto says. The roads in Leide are not as smooth as the city. The Regalia's tires are not made for this terrain. Maybe the parts were not made for outdoors. "So why'd we take it?" she asks.

Prompto sits in silence waiting for an answer.

"The reason doesn't matter, we are here and stuck." Ignis says with a sigh as another truck drives past them.

"We might be stuck here forever." Gladio says leaning against the side of the Regalia.

"Of course, we are a group of strangers, no one in their right mind would stop." Ignis points out.

"Stranger danger." Prompto says moving to get a glimpse of the prince sitting on the ground and leaning against the car.

"We aren't having any luck, and Prom helping is out, what now?" Gladio asks the advisor, arms crossing as he turns his head to his lover. Ignis is the planner of the group. No one is pulling over for Noct, all dressed in black, or Gladio with all his muscles, Ignis with his suit in the middle of nowhere, then there's Prom. She was standing on the road, trying to wave people down, and she did, mostly men who were nice until Prom explained their situation, about her friends, then they drove off, or trying to get her to leave them and get into the car. With the pushy men Gladio came in clutch. Prom did get some woman, one thought she was kidnapped, and another was hitting on her. After a while they decided she should step down and let someone else try.

"Looks like we have no choice but to push the car." the brown haired man says. Prompto snaps her head to the advisor.

"I'd rather give birth again." she tells them, really not wanting to push this car to the closest destination which she can bet isn't two blocks away.

"Really?" Gladio asks raising an eyebrow at her.

"Sadly for you that's not an option." Ignis says back, Prompto pouts as she jumps out the Regalia. "We need to get to Hammerhead, there the Regalia can be fixed." Ignis announces to them all as he turns his phone off, he's apparently been looking at it the whole time.

"Then let's go princess." Gladio calls for the prince. Said prince groans as he gets up.

"I'll call ahead." Ignis tells them as they all get into position.

"You know, I don't think Gladio would notice if I didn't push." Prompto says standing on the Regalia's right side. Noct in the left side. Ignis still in the driver's seat. Gladio in the back.

"Don't you dare." the behemoth man warns.
