"Oi, runts! Don't fall asleep! K'gome'll be back soon and—" Inuyasha's rant was silenced by Sango shoving his face into the dirt.
"Haven't you ever been told 'never wake a sleeping child'?"
His muffled protests sounded suspiciously like 'maybe once or twice', and Miroku let out a hearty chuckle.
The monk gazed at the sleeping children, a serene look on his face. "Allow them to doze for now. Lady Kagome's return can be their wake-up call."
Inuyasha sat up, grumbling under his breath.
"We are in no hurry, my friend. Allow them this luxury. I'm sure we will come across something for you to carve up soon enough."
