The old lady was on my case while I packed. I was damn relieved to finally get out of the house. And then I wished I was still talking to her, because it kept my mind off of other things.

Just stop thinking about it, dammit. You've got shit to do. Get it done. Just focus on that, ok? Just focus on what you're doing right now.

The next bus stop, Deku stepped on, waving goodbye to his mother. Then he saw me.

About a five minute walk from school, built only three days ago, and inside the UA campus grounds, was a new system of multiple dormitory houses, all five stories high and housing one class each. Brown stone, hedges neatly trimmed outside, giant - giant to me - windows with lacing across, two huge sets of doors, a big "1A alliance" above them. My new dorm building. It was kind of disappointing. I'd be stuck in the same place with all these jerks for who knew how long. They'd better not hog food like they did at camp.

Deku, IcyHot and Glasses were standing together at the front. I joined Kirishima and Dunce face towards the back. Deku was staring at the new place with the others and gabbing about the place. Remembering his apartment, I guessed he was probably impressed.

"Man, it's huge!" gasped Sugar brains.

"We're lucky kids, that's for sure!" cheered Raccoon eyes.

Mr. Aizawa was standing outside to greet us, and he looked back to normal.

"First of all, Class A," he said, "What's more important than anything is that you have all gathered together again safely."

"Looks like everyone got permission, huh?" said Tape arms.

"It was a tough fight for me," sighed Invisible Girl.

"I suppose it would be, for most people," added Ears.

"You two did suffer directly from the gas after all," said Tail

Frogface said, "The same goes for you, Sensei. I'm just relieved that you made it back here with us too. AFter watching that interview, I thought you might not be able to come back. I was really sad..."

Uraraka nodded. "Me too."

"It's surprising to me as well," Sensei admitted. "Well, a hell of a lot happened, that's for sure. Now then! I'm going to give you all a quick briefing in regards to the dorms. But before that, just one thing. It's true that the plan was for you to earn 'Temporary hero licenses' after the training camp. And that is still the goal."

Oh, right. Licenses. Permissio nto be a pro hero. That's the goal. Stay focused.

"Now that I think of it, I remember those!"

"So much was happening all at once that it completely slipped my mind..."

Sensei interrupted then and they fell silent. That was his 'pay attention' tone. "What I'm about to say is important, so listen up. Kirishima, Todoroki, Midoriya, Yaoyorozu, Iida. You five were 'on sight' - you took it upon yourselves to rescue Bakugou."

I felt my stomach drop to the ground. Just when I'd gotten that shit off my brain for two seconds...here it was again. The five idiots who'd risked everything to - to...rescue me. They all looked freaked. Like a bad lecture was coming.

"From the look of things," Mr. Aizawa continued, "All of your classmates understand the weight of your behavior in deciding to go there. A lot of things have been pigeonholed in light of everything that happened, but I'll say this now. If it weren't for All Might's sudden retirement, with the exception of Bakugou, jirou and Hagakure, I would have expelled you all as punishment. For the five perpetrators I mentioned, it goes without saying, but the same punishment applies for the other twelve of you who were aware of their actions and did nothing to stop them. Regardless of the reason, the fact that you all betrayed our trust doesn't change. From now on, if you would all do me the favor of following the established procedures and acting accordingly, I would very much appreciate it. And it would certainly go a long way towards restoring my trust." With that, he turned away. "That is all. Now, let's head in with smiles on our faces and lots of energy."

Dammit, dammit, dammit...

Why'd you have to say that, Sensei? Tell em all that stuff. That everyone else in class would've lost their careers, cause of me? And only cause All Might had - only cause things were even worse, that they weren't all expelled? 'if you hadn't been so damn weak, you wouldn't have gotten caught, and caused all that trouble!" It was like all that shit the old hag said to me was suddenly true. Dammit. And Deku was one of those people. And IcyHot. And damn it, that hurt. And Kirishima, too. My friend, one of the only ones I had, and he looked damn down now. Like he was gonna cry.

No way I was gonna sit with that. I grabbed ahold of SparkPlug dragged him behind the bushes, and overloaded his quirk. When I pushed him out again, he was in his "stupid" mode.

Ears burst out laughing really, really loud.

"What the - Bakugou, what're you - " said Tape Arms.

While everyone started laughing at Dunce face, I headed over to Kirishima.

Earlier that morning, on the bus...We'd sat in silence for a while.

"Kacchan?"

"What?"

"I'm glad you're ok."

I stared at him. I wasn't sure I'd heard him right.

"Whatever..."

He'd looked away, but I decided to tell him off. It would feel good, to tell him off. "Don't ever pull shit like that again, you damn nerd."

"Huh?"

"It was your idea, right? Going to...going there. Dragging those other four with you. Dammit, Deku...what if something'd happened? Or you'd been caught, huh?"

"It wasn't my idea."

"Huh?"

"It was Kirishima's idea. Him and Todoroki. They brought me along."

I had no idea what to say to that. Kirishima? And IcyHot? I'd been so sure...this had screamed classic Deku, putting himself in danger like an idiot to 'save me', cause he looked down on...or...no...

"You've got a really good friend there, Kacchan," he then said, quietly. "He had the whole idea. He talked to Yaoyorozu. He even spent like $500 on night vision goggles, just so we could f -" And then he'd realized he'd said too much, and blushed and stammered and tried to take it back. "I mean - well, Kirishima's a really good friend, Kacchan," he finished off lamely.

I just sat there. I didn't know what to say.

"Please don't tell him I told you that," he said quietly. I turned away. I was absolutely horrified because there was something like a damn lump coming up in my throat. Like I was gonna start crying on a bus in front of Deku.

No...Deku's seen me cry before. It's embarrassing but...I could've cried in front of him. Just not in public. And not now.

Anyway, what I'd learned was that I apparently owed Kirishima five hundred bucks. So, later that day, after I'd overloaded Kaminari to get everyone laughing. I headed over to Kirishima and handed him my allowance money for the next month or so.

"Huh? Money? What the ehll is this? You're freaking me out!" he cried.

"Stop being so stingy and just take it!" I told him off. "You're making me feel shitty about it!"

"AH - huh? Where did you hear about - " Kirishima started, but I whipped around.

"Who cares? Just keep being a dumbass like you always are," I said, hoping there wouldn't be anymore questions.

Ears, meanwhile, was laughing like crazy. "I just can't, seeing Kaminari like this..."

"Sorry about that..." murmured Kirishima.

"Hey, everyone!" he shouted, louder this time. "I'm really sorry for everything! This may not excuse my actions, but tonight I'm treating you all to a barbecue with this money!"

"For real?" said Tape arms.

"Can you handle the shopping on your own?" Uraraka asked him.

He shrugged. "Sure - I guess - do you -"

"I could help!"

And Ears kept on laughing. I headed over, then, towards the building, and without meaning to, caught Deku's eye. He'd been watching me, I could tell. He looked embarrassed. I said nothing, though.

Note: I'm just guessing it was Deku who told him. Can't see Momo or Iida doing it; we know Kirishima didn't, so it was either Deku or Shoto. So I tried to guess how that conversation would've gone.
