"He says he loves UA and stuff, but he rejected his admission offer? I don't get it," said Tape Arms.

"He's weird," concluded Raccoon eyes.

"Weird as he may be, he's the real deal. You'd best take note of him," said Mr. Aizawa.

"Eraser!? Eraser, is that you?" called out a strange woman. We all turned to see a lady with a head kerchief, smiley faces on her belt, and long green hair waving to Sensei.

"I saw you on TV at the Sports Festival, but it's been so long since we've seen each other face to face!" she waved some more.

"That lady," said Deku, "She's -"

"Let's get married," she said to Sensei, beckoning him.

"No thanks," snapped Sensei.

"No thanks? Good one!" she burst out laughing.

"As always, you've got an unassuming sense of humor, Joke," said Sensei.

"The smile hero, Ms Joke!" called out Deku on cue. "Her quirk is Outburst! By forcing people around her to laugh, she impairs their cognitive and motor skills! Her fights against villains are insane!"

"If you married me," MS Joke was saying to Sensei, "We could start a family filled with constant laughter!"

"That doesn't sound joyful to me."

"You guys seem pretty close," said Frog face.

"Our offices used to eb close to each other!" said Ms Joke. "We'd help each other out, coming to each other's rescues. A relationship built on mutual love!"

"No, it wasn't," snapped back Sensei. Then he looked up. "Oh, your school's here with you too?"

"I told you it'd be fun to pull your leg!" said Ms Joke, then turned to some people behind her. "Yes, yes. Come on over here, everyone! It's UA!"

A crowd of students showed up. "Oh! It's really them! Incredible, truly incredible!"

"All people I've seen on TV!"

"First years trying for a provisional already? That's awfully fast paced…Well, to each their own, Iguess. AS expected, they do things a little differently."

"Ketsubutsu Academy, 2nd year, Class !" announced MS. Joke. "These are my kids."

"My name is Shindou!" said one of the boys, who had hair al to like Deku's. And he shook Deku's hand, which made that really clear. "It must have been rough with all that trouble at UA this year, huh?"

"Ah, her…" stammered out Deku.

"But in that way," the boy went on, shaking hands with Dunce face and Ears as well, "you were all able to strengthen your resolve to become heroes, huh? Marvelous!" He grinned and clasped his fist. "I believe that all heroes need to have that kind of fortitude."

"What a refreshingly straightforward, cool dude!" said Dunce Face. Yeah if youre an idiiot.

"And among them, the one at the center of the Kamino incident, Bakugou!" sid the sparkly boy . He was grinning and holding out his hand, but his eyes were smirking.

"You have an exceptionally strong spirit! It's our privilege to stand alongside you all today. We will do our very best!" I slapped that fake ass hand away.

"Screw off, shitface. The words coming out of your mouth don't match up with your eyes."

"Hey man, don't be rude!" said Kirishima. "I'm sorry for his impoliteness."

"It's all right!" said the boy. "Just proof of how strong his spirit is!"

"Hey Todoroki!" said a blond girl with spiky hair. "Could I get your autograph? You were so cool at the Sports Festival!"

"Huh…" said IcyHot.

"Cut it out, you're such a fangirl," said another student.

"Hey, change into your costumes and we'll head over to the information session. Don't waste any time!" called Ms Joke.

"Yes, ma'am!"

Behind me I heard Ears saying, "How do I put it? Meeting people outside of UA, it kinda makes you think…"

"UA students are pretty famous after all, huh?" said Dunce face.

The inside was insanely crowded with way too many extras.

The announcer guy looked exhausted as he began our orientation. "Er, well then…let us begin that provisional license thing. All right. Um. my name is mere, and I am from the hero public safety commission. My favorite form of sleep is rem sleep. Good to meet you all," he mumbled and stumbled out. "My work has been so busy I've hardly been able to sleep…there's just not enough manpower…I want to sleep…all right, with that out of the way, let me explain this to you all…"

"There are 1540 of you here taking this exam. We'll carry out an exercise to whittle down your numbers."

"Just like that, huh?"

"Is he serious?"

"In today's day and age, we are said to be living in a hero-saturated society. Ever since Sain's capture, there are many who question the current state of affairs with heroes. 'A hero shouldn't seek compensation for his efforts.' 'It is a title one must be willing to go to great lengths of self-sacrifice to earn.' As an individual, no matter what the motive, to put your life on the line to save others, but don't seek anything…that is the merciless expectation of today's society. In any case, be it for compensation or out of pure heroism, many heroes have endeavored and dedicated themselves to rescuing others and suppressing villains. From th beginning of an incident to its resolution, that window of time is becoming increasingly small. All of you who receive a provisional license will eb plunged into these rapids. For those who cannot keep up with that speed, I'll say it clearly is relentless. Therefore, what's being tested is your speed. The first 100 examinees who achieve the required conditions will pass."

"Wait, hold on a second. There're 1540 of us, right? That's like 5% of us, isn't it?'

"Well, a lot has happened recently in the world. Just think of it as the hand you've been dealt. And so, I'll tell you about the passing conditions." He held p what looked kinda likee a tennis ball and a light. "These. Every examinee will have three targets. You can place them wherever you would like, but it must be an exposed area. Places ike the soles of your feature your armpits are not allowed. You'll get six balls to carry each. If a ball hits a target, the target will light up. If all three of your targets get lit up, you lose. An individual who lands the third hit will eb credited with a'take down'. Those who have at least two takedowns pass. Those are the rules. Well then, once the expansion is complete, balls and targets will be distributed to you all. We'll start one minute after you have all spread out."

And with that the ceiling of the building opened up, showing us a big open field!

"All of you should be able to find a terrain that works for you," said announcer guy. "Make the most of what you have, and do your best."

Deku turned to face the rest of us. "If it's just about the first to pass, there's no point in us trying to compete with each other. The best way to win is for us who all know each other's abilities, to team up together! Everyone! Don't stray too far! We should move in a group!"

"As if! This isn't a field trip!" I reminded him. We won't get anywhere. They'll split us up in se conds if we try. And a real hero could handle this situation on his own.

"You idiot!" called Kirishima. "Hold on!" He ran after me. I didn't bother to tell him off. If he wanted to tag along that was his business.

Cause it was so obvious that the other schools weren't making nice for no reason. They'd have seen us on the Sports Festival and were gonna be ready for quirks they thought they could handle. We'd be targets. And as pro heroes, for a license exam, we'd need to show we could pass this exam on our own.
