Someone's eye opens. A blue eye, turning the focus to a man, wearing a half-social shirt and shorts, lying in the sand. Observing the scene he was in, he notices debris from a plane crash, and the engines still running. Seeing people running around in desperation, trying to escape, to help, or to understand what is happening, he begins to see that he has crashed on a kind of island, but the question for him was what had happened? Why was he there? What happened to these people, and why did the plane crash?

-Where... Where am I?

He saw someone, a black guy, desperately calling out to someone.

-Walt! Walt!

-Stay away from the gas! Stay away!

The man was still panicking, seeing a blonde, screaming, in desperation, at the same time as he saw someone in a red shirt with his leg stuck in the middle of the plane's engine.

-Help! Help! Somebody help me! Help me! Help me! Help! Ah, my leg! Ah! Ah!

-AAAAAAAAAHHHH!

Stranger than that, he wouldn't see it, and ends up seeing a dog coming out of the forest, running towards someone.

The questions run through his mind like a kind of blur, because of this event, but he is brought out of his trance when he sees someone in a suit and tie calling out to him.

-Hey you, help me!

Wondering if the man was really calling him, the guy is surprised when he sees the same man pointing at him, indicating that he really wanted the help.

-You, come here! Help me here!

He goes towards the man in the suit, and sees parts of the fuselage, trapping a man, and three guys, plus one man, half bald, heading towards the wreckage.

-On three! One, two, three!

The five men lift the fuselage, and free the man from it. The man in the suit grabs his tie, trying to stop the bleeding, when suddenly they hear a woman calling for help.

-Help Me! Please, somebody help me!

-You two! Get him to safety! You (Said the man, pointing to the guy in shorts, asking for help) -Help me to see what happened to that woman!

The two run toward the woman, blonde, curly haired, and pregnant.

-What happened?

-Help me, please, I'm having, I'm having contractions.

How many months pregnant are you?

-From almost eight months.

-What is the interval of the contractions?

- I don't know, I've had some almost now.

-She can't move. I need you to help me get her to safety.

-All right. What do I do?

-Support her on your shoulders, carefully, so as not to provoke any sudden movements in her belly. If she gets hurt, she could be in serious danger.

Suddenly, a British-looking guy comes up to the trio, looking worried.

-Steam, I noticed the scene and came running here. How can I help?

-Go to my briefcase. Inside there are some painkillers and some pain medication. If you do this, the pain in your belly will stop.

-And where is the suitcase?

-I think it's near the fuselage.

-Now.

The Briton rushes off toward the wreckage, complying with the man's request.

-Are you a doctor?

-Surgeon. I was on my way to Los Angeles for an appointment. My name is Jack.

-Antonio. We have to take her to a safe place. But first someone has to find the button that turns off the plane's engines.

Of all the people he sees, he has seen a Briton, a doctor, a pregnant woman, but the man he just saw now was kind of intriguing: A gentleman, balding, balding hair, who was just sitting there, and with a happy face.

-What happened? Am I dreaming?

Following Jack's request, the two begin to carry the pregnant girl away from the plane, at the same time as people begin to be sucked into the turbines of the aircraft. Suddenly, their gyrations get louder and louder, their hearts pounding and their worries about the whole thing.

(Jack) - Go! Those turbines are too dangerous.

(Antonio) - I'm coming. But it's kind of hard.

That said, just as the three of them continue walking, the turbines, combined with the engine running, cause a spark that creates a flaming trail to them. Then the turbines explode, knocking Jack, Antonio, and the pregnant girl to the ground.

(Antonio) - Are you all right?

(Jack) - I believe so.

The British man returns, with the medicines Jack requested, in a frantic rush to find them.

-It took a while, but I made it? Is everybody okay?

(Antonio) - Yes.

(Jack) - Can you bring her close to the fuselage so she can rest for a while?

-Sure. Always a pleasure to help.

Getting up, Antonio takes a few breaths, needing to regain his strength.

(Jack) - Are you okay?

(Antonio) - It's okay. I just got scared with all of this.

-Have you ever been to a place like this before?

-I think this is somewhere in Hawaii or something. I think we fell into a paradise resort and didn't even realize it.

-You have a great sense of humor, don't you?

-Just to cut a little tension. And you, Jack? Where do you think we are?

-You could say that this is not Hawaii, because there are some parts here that are completely different from anything else on an island.

-But consider this possibility.

Feeling a pain in his shoulder, Jack begins to groan, and tries to hold back the grunts.

(Antonio) - How are you?

(Jack) - I think I cut myself with some ship's debris. I'll go see what happened.

-Right. Meanwhile, I'll try to help the other passengers in the fuselage, see if I can do anything for them.

-Good luck.

Going towards the fuselage of the plane, trying to check the wreckage, once again, one can notice the panic among the people who survived the crash, and their fear. Countless people that he himself didn't know or didn't know at all, looking at them, while trying to do something to see if they could get help. An Iraqi was seen, looking at the British man and Antonio, while the man looked around, and could not understand what was happening.

-Hey you. What are your names?

-Me? -Charlie.

-Antonio.

-Charlie. Antonio. We need both of you to help with the fire. No one will see us unless it's big.

Antonio could be surprised to see the Iraqi calling out to him, while slowly, he felt he needed to do something to help.

(Charlie) - Okay, I'm in. What is your name?

-Sayid.

(Charlie) - Sayid. I'm with you, Sayid.

-Me too.

Charlie and Antonio go to Sayid, ready to help with the bonfire.

It was already night, a time somewhat unknown after the crash. Antonio could see Charlie writing fate on his fingers, as they sat near Sayid watching the other survivors.

(Sayid) - They should be arriving now?

(Charlie) - Huh? (Charlie) - Who?

-Any ransom.

(Antonio) - I am a little worried about what happened. The last thing I remember was that everything had faded into a blur, and then, I don't remember what happened.

(Sayid) - That's the thing about accidents. Sometimes you forget what happened after the crash.

(Charlie) - What is so important to you that was on the plane?

I work as a photographer. The photos that I publish where I work are worth a lot of money.

(Sayid) - Anything else you're not telling?

I am also a military man. I fought in the Gulf War, and was awarded numerous medals for my actions in the field. When I am not called up, the photography job I have helps me in my spare time. Last year I was called up to fight in Iraq. No offense, Sayid.

-It didn't offend me. I think under somewhat normal circumstances, I would have done the same thing. Serving the country.

I was fighting over there for a while, until a few months ago, I was sent home because of a medical discharge. But those conflicts that I saw, nothing erases the horrors of what I witnessed. Nothing. I always thought about how much people suffered because of the wars.

Charlie and Sayid were somewhat surprised by this. A rather touching story before a survivor. He saw several things that he had witnessed, as if they were fragmented parts of his life that he wanted to forget, bit by bit. Hurley and Claire were standing side by side, looking at the blue sea around them.

(Hurley) - Hungry?

(Claire) - Of course. Thank you.

-So, you know... The baby, is he okay?

-Yes, you don't have to worry about me.

-All right, then, enjoy your food.

-Thank you. You too.

Michael looks at Walt, somewhat worried about his son.

-Are you sure everything is okay?

He answers nothing. He just nods his head in agreement with his father.

The Korean couple, Sun and Jin look at the people who were still alive after the crash, and look at his wife, talking to her, somewhat worried.

(Jin) - You must not leave my side. You will follow me wherever I go. Do you understand?

Sun just nods in agreement with her husband.

(Jin) - Don't worry about the others. We need to stay together.

Kate searches the body of an officer, with Jack watching her, somewhat concerned.

(Kate) - Do you think he will live?

(Jack) - Do you know him?

-He was sitting next to me.

- We must have been about 40,000 feet off the ground when it happened. We hit turbulence. We crashed. Then I passed out.

(Kate) - Not me. I saw everything. I knew the back of the plane had left us, but I couldn't look back. So the front of the plane flew away with it.

(Jack) - Well, she's not at the beach. We need to know where she is.

(Kate) - Why?

(Jack) - Because there is a chance that we can find a transmitter. And if we send a signal, the rescue will find us.

(Kate) - How do you know all this?

(Jack) - I had some flying lessons.

(Kate) - I saw a smoke. Crossing the valley. If you're thinking of going after the front of the plane, count me in.

(Jack) - I don't even know your name.

(Kate) - I'm Kate.

(Jack) - Jack.

A sound comes from the forest, which makes all the survivors look toward the trees. There was a great deal of worry for them.

(Shannon) - What was that?

Kate exchanges a glance at Jack, while Sayid, Charlie and Antonio look at each other, more than a little nervous.

(Charlie) - Everyone agrees that was strange, isn't it?

(Walt) - Was it Vincent?

Walt starts walking into the forest, with Michael nervous about what he was looking at.

(Michael) - That's not Vincent.

The trees begin to move in mysterious ways, which leaves everyone with a certain amount of concern.

(Claire) - Did anyone see that too?

(Hurley) - That's right.

Boone Carlyle walks into the forest, with Shannon looking at him.

(Shannon) - Boone!

All the survivors go into the forest, and they notice the trees moving again, much to their surprise.

(Charlie) - Great.

Oceanic Airlines plane 815 was flying over the skies of the Pacific Ocean, on a destination from Sydney to Los Angeles. On this plane, Antonio was watching the surrounding skies while on his phone, trying to stay somewhat focused on the moment.

(Antonio) - Look, Eve, I am coming back. I managed to get a few photos from my trip in Australia, but I think they will be of some use. (Antonio) What? What did I get? Pictures that would be of great interest. The Australian outback, the savannah, the monuments, everything that I found interesting there. In a few hours I will be landing at the airport, and then I will go to the office to deliver the photos for publication.

He hangs up the phone, turning back to look at the skies, trying to keep a bit of an eye on a few things, until I notice someone trying to get his attention. A man of southern descent, whom he is wondering why.

-How's it going? Little boss a little nervous, isn't she?

(Antonio) - You have no idea. My work is a bit complicated lately.

-Do you make a living just by taking pictures?

-Not just for taking pictures. For photographing various parts and important aspects of places, in a session called wonders of the world. My other job, I am kind of on leave.

-And what is your other job?

If I told you, you wouldn't believe me.

When they say this, it is because they want to hide something. They want to sweep it under the rug, and pretend that everything they have experienced never happened.

-And you? What do you have to hide?

-Nothing. I am an open book.

Brit Charlie is seen running toward the restroom, as they observe the flight attendant Cindy heading toward him.

A turbulence starts in the middle of the conversation. Antonio could see Sun and Jin sitting in their seats, somewhat worried. Kate was sitting next to an officer, while Antonio became increasingly worried.

-Fearing turbulence?

(Antonio) - No. I'm not afraid of anything.

The turbulence started again, which made the Southerner and Antonio a little nervous.

-I don't know. I have a feeling something is going to go sour at any moment.

(Antonio) - Relax. Things will be alright.

Out of nowhere, the plane went into free fall, much to Antonio's amazement, who ended up hitting his head, and the only thing he could see was a black blur, before passing out completely.

The survivors wondered what was the mysterious noise they had heard, including Antonio, who could not understand what had happened.

(Michael) - That didn't look like an animal.

(Rose) - That sound he made, it reminded me of something. Something I know.

(Shannon) - Really? Where do you come from?

(Rose) - From the Bronx.

(Charlie) - Maybe they are monkeys. They could be monkeys, right?

(Sawyer) - Of course they are monkeys. We're on Monkey Island.

(Hurley) - Technically, you may be right. You don't know if we are on an island.

(Sayid) - We are on an island.

Kate came up behind Jack, somewhat confident at the moment.

(Kate) - Are you ready?

(Jack) - Kate, you just need to show me where the smoke came from. I'll go on my own.

(Kate) - I'm coming with you.

(Jack) - Well, if you're going, you need better shoes.

Kate walks towards a corpse, where she picks up his shoes. Antonio and Kate could see the bald figure staring at them. The figure was eating an orange, and looking at them, a little frightened.

The survivor was meeting Sayid, Charlie, Boone, Michael, Walt and Shannon, while Hurley began to approach.

(Michael) - Whatever it was, it was supernatural.

(Charlie) - Does anyone have any sunscreen?

(Shannon) - Of course. I do.

(Charlie) - Cool.

(Antonio) - I am still wondering what was in the forest yesterday.

(Sayid) - Why the concern?

(Antonio) - I am a little bit nervous.

(Hurley) - So, I was looking inside the fuselage, and it's pretty ugly in there. Do you think we should do something about the c-o-p-o-s?

(Michael) - What did you say? Wouldn't it be bodies?

(Walt) - c-o-r-p-o-s.

(Sayid) - Sounds like a good idea.

(Shannon) - No! They will deal with it when they get here.

(Jack) - Guys, we're going to go out in search of the front of the plane. Let's see if we can find a transmitter for our distress signal.

Jack looks at Boone, as if he is about to give him a task.

(Jack) - You're going to need to keep your eyes open on this guy. If he wakes up, try to wake him up, but don't let him remove the bandages. Do you understand?

(Boone) - Got it. What about the guy with the leg?

(Jack) - I stopped the bleeding. I took care of it last night. He'll be fine.

(Boone) - Cool. Good job.

(Charlie) - I'm coming with you. I want to help.

(Antonio) - Me too.

(Jack) - We don't need any more help.

(Charlie) - No. I don't want to stay here.

(Antonio) - Much less me.

(Jack) - Excellent.

In the direction of the valley, Jack, Kate, Charlie and Antonio start walking in search of the front of the plane. Both were expressing enormous concern at the situation they were in, but trying to understand why they had crashed on that island.

(Kate) - Can I ask you something? - said Kate, looking at Charlie.

(Charlie) - With me? What's wrong?

(Kate) - Do we know each other from somewhere?

(Charlie) - No. I think it's unlikely.

(Kate) - Hm.

(Charlie) - I look familiar, don't I?

(Kate) - Of course.

(Charlie) - But you can't remember where, can you?

-No, I can't.

-I think I know where you know me from.

-Do you know?

-You all everybody! Have you never heard this song?

-Yes, I have heard. I just don't know what it is.

-That's us. Driveshaft. We are Driveshaft! Look at the ring, second tour in Finland. Have you never heard of Driveshaft?

- The band?

-That's it. The band.

-You are a member of Driveshaft.

-I'm from Driveshaft. I play bass.

-Really?

-That's it. Charlie. Third song. You know, I'm part of the backing vocals.

-My friend Beth would go crazy. She loves you.

(Antonio) - My boss where I work, Eve, she spends a lot of time listening to your band's music. You would love her. She's really pretty.

(Charlie) - Really? Give me Beth's number, I'll love her too. And I think our guitar player would love to have someone like Eve around.

(Jack) - Guys.

(Kate) - Have you ever heard of Driveshaft?

-You all everybody...

-We have to continue the search.

-They were good.

-They are good. We're still together. We're just in the middle of a...pause.

Their walk in search of a communicator continued at every moment. It seemed as if the quartet had been walking for hours. With each passing minute, it was as if the chances of rescue were diluting with the passage of time. Rain began to fall on the island as Jack, Kate, Charlie, and Antonio continued to walk through the forest.

(Charlie) - Guys, is that normal? Like, day turns into night. What's up, guys?

On the beach, many looked somewhat worriedly toward the ocean, as if rescue seemed like it would never come. Claire watches the survivors, while Hurley runs towards them. Jin starts a fight with one of them to get a hiding place, while the bald man just sits there and lets the rain shower him, happier than anything in his life. Suddenly, they begin to hear a noise in the trees again, which has everyone worried once more.

(Claire) - That noise again.

(Rose) - Oh my God.

The quartet gets close to what was left of the plane, with everyone amazed at the state it had been in. Jack, Kate, Antonio, and Charlie were stunned by what they were witnessing.

(Jack) - Well, let's do that.

(Charlie) - Well, let's take this trans...

(Jack) - Transmitter.

(Charlie) - Transmitter and get out of here.

(Antonio) - I'm a little nervous about this.

(Kate) - Don't worry. I am confident that everything will work out fine.

The four begin to climb to the front of the plane, and inside, they could see how many bodies there were inside that had died in the plane crash. Antonio felt a chill run through his body in the midst of so many deaths, while Jack tried to go to the cockpit, a little nervous. Kate and Charlie look at each other, and are concerned about Jack's attempt to open the cockpit. He then takes a fire extinguisher, and breaks down the door, but just as Jack does so, a body falls, almost falling on Kate and Antonio.

(Jack) - Are you all right?

(Kate) - Of course. And you?

(Jack) - Sure.

(Antonio) - I'm fine. That one just grazed me.

(Charlie) - I'm fine too. Charlie is fine, too, by the way.

Jack looks at Kate, somewhat worried, as Antonio tries to balance on what is left of the plane.

(Jack) - You don't need to come up here.

(Kate) - No. I'm fine.

The two enter the cabin, leaving Antonio and Charlie observing the situation they were in.

(Antonio) - Hopefully, with this, the rescue will arrive faster.

(Charlie) - Hopefully. We're lucky we didn't end up like them.

(Antonio) - Get lucky.

Jack and Kate entered the cabin of the plane, looking for what they needed to achieve communication.

(Kate) - So what does a transmitter look like?

(Jack) - It's a more or less complicated walkie-talkie.

Kate walks past the pilot, looking for the transmitter, when out of nowhere, he lets out a breath, which alerts her and Jack.

(Jack) - Hey! Can you hear me? Hey, can you hear me? I need some water.

Kate grabs a bottle of water, and passes it to Jack, who hands the water to the pilot who had survived.

-How many survived?

(Jack) - A total of 48. Are you feeling any broken parts of your body?

-No, no. I just have a bit of a headache, that's all.

(Jack) - Probably a concussion to the head.

-How long has it been?

(Jack) - 4 pm.

-16? Did any ransom come?

(Jack) - Not yet.

In the 6 hours of flight, the radio broke down. Nobody could see us. So we started to turn around. By the time I got the turbulence... we were a thousand miles away from our destination. They are looking for us in the wrong place. We have a transmitter...

The pilot picks up the transmitter and tries to make contact.

(Jack) - Good. Well, that's our hope. Look, I want you to try to get up.

-No, no, I'm fine. I'm fine. The transmitter is here.

Kate takes the transmitter from the pilot's hand, and tries to make contact with the rescue, but some interference prevents the signal from being received.

(Jack) - Where's Charlie?

Jack looks out of the cabin, and misses Charlie, only seeing Antonio in the cabin.

(Jack) - Antonio, where's Charlie?

(Antonio) - So, it's a little complicated to explain...

The moment he answers this, Kate goes to find Charlie, while the pilot tries to activate the transmitter.

(Kate) - Charlie?

And in the search, Charlie comes out of the bathroom, making Jack and Kate look strange.

(Kate) - What were you doing in the bathroom?

(Charlie) - What?

(Antonio) - I told you it would be complicated to explain.

Out of nowhere, the plane shakes, causing everyone to hold on to something to keep from falling.

-What is that?

(Jack) - Kate.

Kate, Antonio, and Charlie enter the cabin, while the quartet of survivors look out the window, hearing another noise coming through the trees. A certain noise was heard to them, which made them worried.

(Kate) - He is outside.

-What? What's out there?

Everyone looks frightened out the window, as they see a mysterious shadow approaching. The frightened pilot tries to get up and walk towards it. Jack and Antonio try to look through it, while the pilot climbs. Suddenly, what appears to be an earthquake affects the plane, and the mysterious shadow grabs the pilot, causing blood to fall on the window.

(Charlie) - What is it?

The plane shakes again, threatening to collapse. The quartet tries to get out of the cabin before it all collapses on top of them.

(Kate) - Jack, come on!

(Charlie) - Let's get out of here once and for all!

Everyone gets out of the plane, running at full speed. Antonio looked back, afraid of what was behind them.

Charlie falls to the ground, getting his leg caught in some roots. Jack and Antonio try to help him up, while Kate continues running, hiding in the middle of a tree.

(Kate) - Jack! One... Two... Three... Four... Five...

The rain continued to fall, while Kate became increasingly overly concerned because of what was chasing them.

Antonio kept running. He felt the mysterious figure
