Smoke curled around the camp, the rest of the pack already asleep. Sesshoumaru often offered to take the night shift—daiyoukai rarely required sleep—but the miko had been staying up later in recent nights.
He relished the company.
The single shake of his head was rewarded with a soft smile, and she settled down beside him.
"I just don't want to bother you."

Her laughter had become a drug, and Sesshoumaru was sure he was addicted.
