"Indeed. I doubt I would ever find peace again had I not adhered to his wishes."
She flashed him a smile. "You let him think it was his idea, didn't you?"

"Then I stand by what I said before. You're definitely sweet."
Sesshoumaru brushed her hair back from her face, catching a dark wave and bringing it to his lips. "Only for you."
He could tell she was forcing herself not to gape, the muscles in her jaw clenching. Raising an eyebrow, he stayed silent, daring her to question his words.
