"What the hell?! You almost made me drop hot water on myself," yelled Kurama as he pulled his hand away from Naruto's grasp, careful with the pot of boiling water in his hand.
"Just come with me!" Naruto tried to take Kurama's hand.
Kurama took a step back, escaping Naruto's reach. "No. It's six in the morning and I haven't had my damn coffee," snarled Kurama. "Unless the sky is falling down on top of us, I'm not moving from this kitchen."
Naruto opened the cabinet and pulled out a sachet of instant coffee. Heathen. He poured it in a cup of lukewarm water—he couldn't be serious, right?—and gave it to Kurama. "Here. Now, can you please come with me?"
"You want me to drink this garbage?" Kurama took the cup and poured it down into the drain. Good. That was disgusting. "Screw you," hissed Kurama. He looked at Naruto from the top to bottom. "What in Dante's seven hell has gotten into you?"
Disarrayed hair, crumpled shirt, ripped pants, and stains all over him. Compared to Kurama, who just woke up and looked absolutely fabulous with that bed hair, Naruto looked like he was dragged through the sewer and back. And, the smell! A mouldy cheese smelt better than him. "Story later. Just come with me!" said Naruto as he once again pulled Kurama's hand.
Kurama clicked his tongue and put down the hot water on the counter. "This is better be important or I will sell your action figures on ebay," threatened Kurama.
Naruto dragged Kurama to the carport. He waved his hands to a pile of monstrosity. It was brown? There were some plants on it and undistinguishable globs of green. Was that an animal carcass? Yes, it was.
"Jesus. What happened here? What did you do to Sasuke's car?"
Naruto grimaced. "There was an accident."
"Accident? More like you crash into a freaking swamp monster," pointed Kurama. He rubbed his face and turned around. Better stayed away from that monstrosity. "It's too early for this shit."
"Where you're going?" asked Naruto. He pulled Kurama's hand. "You're leaving me alone with this?" Naruto waved his other hand at that thing.
"Yes. The smell is making my eyes burn." Kurama pulled back his hand.
"You can't! Sasuke will kill me!" Naruto's eyes were wide in terror. "He'll skin me alive. He'll cut me into pieces. He, he'll burn me alive. Worst, he'll destroy my babies!"
"Not my damn problem," said Kurama. He wrinkled his nose in disgust as a glob of green-brownish mixture dropped from the side mirror. He walked back to the house.
"You're leaving me," squeaked Naruto. "I'm your brother. You're gonna let Sasuke kill me."
Kurama rubbed his face in frustration. He turned and glared at Naruto. "Just drive it to John's."
"Yes, why I didn't think it before? Oh right, it's not open," said Naruto sarcastically.
"Wash it, then," growled Kurama. "Look, that's the hose." He pointed at the garden hose. "The scrubs and soap are in the garage. Take them, clean this thing, give it back to Sasuke, and done."
"What? No." Naruto walked to Kurama and stopped a few steps away from him. "You'd think I have the time? Sasuke's coming at seven. I can't do it."
"Hell no!" Kurama crossed his arms on his chest and took a step back. "I know what you're thinking and the answer is a freaking no. I'm not touching that thing even if you pay me with a broadway's ticket."
"Oh, come on," whined Naruto. "You always help me, before. Why not now?"
Kurama looked like he was ready to rip Naruto apart. "Yes," hissed Kurama, "And, how many times I had to put my ass in danger because of you. Too many times. "
"Please, just help me this once," said Naruto. He looked miserable. He clasped his hands in front of his mouth and looked at Kurama with pleading eyes. "I don't know who else to ask."
Suddenly, a taxi parked right in front of their house. A young man walked out from it in utter shock. He looked at the monstrosity. He took off his hat and rubbed his eyes. He was Sasuke. Couldn't blame him, anyone would be in shock finding their car wrecked. His face slowly turned into the reddest shade in the world. He snapped his eyes at Naruto and snarled.
Kurama placed his hand on Naruto's shoulder. "You're dead. It's good to know you, bro."
