Total Drama: The Original Sequel

Prolouge: The meeting

By: BigBadBrad

The recording starts with Chris walking the New York City sidewalk. He is wearing a black blazer with a black turtleneck and looks uncomfortably warm. His hands are in his pocket as he walks the busy sidewalk filled with people.A cameraman is struggling to stay behind him. Chris turns around in the middle of the street to look at the cameraman.

"What's up! It's me! Chris McClane, formerly of Boyband, and TRD fame, I am here in New York to request a second season of the bloc-" Chris says before he's interrupted by a walker in the crowded sidewalk.

"Go away, your blockin the whole f****** sidewalk here," The new yorker shouts through the crowd of people.

"Shut up!" Chris responds as he looks back into the camera, "Where were we? Oh right the CMB show, projected by the network to be the show of the summer, Total Drama! And I'm here in New York to beg- I mean request a second season of our, hopefully hit show," Chris says as he smiles as angry pedestrians mutter as they pass him.

"Couldn't you have called him? You know, like… on a flip phone or something?" The cameraman asks inconveniently as he gets shoved by a passer by.

"A flip phone, nah. I'm not exactly into that new technology. You know I like to keep things somewhat simple and formal, unlike the teenagers of today," Chris says as he shrugs, this hits a random woman in her eye "Sorry,"

"Chris, it's 2006, you'll have to learn how to use something like that, this is inconvenient for both of us," The camera man says almost drowned out in noise.

"Will you just shut up and film?" Chris says annoyed, the cameraman gives a shrug offscreen as Chris' frown turned into a fake, warm smile. He points to the tall glass building next to him.

"This building right here, this is the CMB headquarters. So many great decisions were made here. So many shows… so many...everything," Chris says as he continues pointing, at this point the crowd of people simply go around the two.

Chris opens the door and gestures for the camera man to go in, which he does. Through two glass doors is beige and black open room, filled with couches and lounge material. A blonde haired receptionist is sitting behind an ugly wooden table with the letters CMB engraved into it.

"Take a seat," Says the receptionist as Chris and the cameraman both sit down. The camera points to Chris.

"So do you have anything to say before we go up?"The guy asks Chris as the camera turns to him. He nudges his turtleneck.

"Umm, I guess I must admit that this place, is hotter than usual. I mean I really want to take off my.. Everything right now," Chris says as the camera turns to the receptionist who overheard his comment and is visually disgusted. The camera turns back to a sweating Chris.

"Well perhaps you wouldn't be this hot if you didn't pack that ridiculous outfit," The cameraman jokes. Chris is somewhat taken aback.
"Well excuse me for trying to look my best for the CEO of this company, I mean I give all my respect for Evelyn, she took me from my saggy boyband phase, being outshined, to hosting my own music video show and being the face of the company," Chris says compelled, he looks toward the receptionist. Who gets up and walks out.

"Where are you going, I have to meet my boss," Chris asks. The receptionist stops to look at the now soaking wet Chris, "Also where is your technician. Because, it's gettin hot in he-"

"The company can't really afford a technician right now and I'm going on my lunch break," The receptionist says sassily.

"But it's 10:00 in the morning," Chris says as he checks his watch, the receptionist quickly disappears.

"What was that about?" Chris asks, the cameraman shrugs once again.

"Beats me," The cameraman says casually. Chris watches as a man with swooped over black hair enters and takes a seat in the receptionist's spot. He looks up at the raggedy cameraman and an extremely sweaty Chris.

"Umm, we don't allow homeless people in the building," Says the male receptionist.

"We're not 's me, Chris… Chris McClane, and umm I don't really know him, I think he's apart of my production staff," Says Chris as he points into the camera.

"I'm Stev, I've worked on several shows here," Stev says laid back. The receptionist takes a good look at the two of them.

"Umm...ok, who are you here to see?" The receptionist asks the pair as he points at them with a black and gold pin.

"We're here to see Evelyn, Evelyn Payne," Chris says. The receptionist looks down then back up at the pair.

"Um, I'm sorry, I'm new here," The receptionist says as the looks down at some papers.

"It's fine, go ahead take your time," Chris says formally as he waits, still dripping sweat.

"However, it says that Evelyn Payne doesn't work for us anymore, I believe… she was fired after the scandal," The receptionist says as the jaggy camera points to him, but it quickly switches back to Chris who is now standing up.

"What do you mean? You know what, screw it. Get me your CEO, NOW!" Chris screams. He is extremely wet and impatient.

"I'm sorry here, that's not how it works," The receptionist says as he tries his best.

"Dude, chill down," Stev says as he touches Chris' black blazer.

"If you want I can notify him that you're here," The receptionist anxiously says to a fuming mad Chris McClane.

"Yes, please do that," Chris says as he calms down, folds his arms, and sits down. The receptionist gets out a bright orange flip phone.
"Umm… hey so, Chris McClane is here… in the lobby. Mhmm, alright. Okay. Sure, good luck," The receptionist whispers into the flip phone. He looks to the dynamic duo sitting on their chairs.

"He's waiting for you on the 36th floor," The receptionist says as he points to the elevator hidden in the corner of the room. Chris nods, and smiles as Stev and the camera follows them into the elevator. They step into the rusty metal elevator, behind them is somewhat ripped light brown leather struggling to stay on the wall. Meanwhile distorted music plays overhead. Chris looks up at his surroundings.

"What did I miss? This place use to be so...luxurious," Says Chris as he gently pets the struggling leather walls.

"Dude, your talking about a freaking elevator, your creeping me out...kinda," Stev says as the camera points toward a sweat Chris that is somewhat obsessed with the condition of the walls.

"I must admit the music is pretty bad," Stev continues. Chris looks into the camera.

"It's not just the elevator, I mean the air conditioning, the fly that I saw on the window, them mistaking us for homeless people, it must be bad," Chris says as he begins to freak out.

"Dude, relax," Stev continues.

"But, if they can't afford to maintain the building then what about the shows? Surely if they can't afford an electrician, they absolutely cannot afford to maintain a freaking island," Chris says.

"I thought you bought the island," Says Stev confused.
Chris shrugs "It was loaned to me,"

"Then how could you not figure it out earlier! They loaned you a f****** island, how much does that even cost. Not to mention all the renovations they had to do for it, painting the buildings and repainting the buildings after the second day, paying freaking Brittany Sparks to make a cameo on your show, paying a hotel to reserve a film set for you for two days. You might be the one that's bankrupting the company!" Stev shouts as the elevator door slowly opens. It stops halfway.

"Should we squeeze through it?" Chris asks.

"No… I saw people die in a horror movie that exact way," Stev says scarred. Chris bangs on each of the doors, it makes it swing open instantly. They step out quickly, scarred for their lives. The doors shut behind them. In Front of them are several posters of CMB's most popular shows including Total Drama. However, the posters are filled with dust and filth.

Chris points it out, "Ugh has anyone even been up here?" Chris asks disgusted. The camera shows the narrow hallway.

"I don't remember the rooms being like this…" Chris says confused, "The office must have been moved. Is this even the right floor?" Chris asks the camera which swings around to the elevator.

"Did he say 36?" Asks Stev who zooms the camera into the two doors on this floor.

"Yep," Chris nods, he turns to the right, "I think this is his office," Says Chris as he points forward. He knocks on the door.

"Don't come in!" A voice yells.

"Umm I think we should try the left," Points Stev. Chris abruptly nods as they both walk and knock on the wooden door on the left.

"Come on in," A male voice says a Stev opens the door. There sitting down is a handsome young man wearing a black and white suit. He closes his flip phone. His black shoes tap on the old wooden looking tile floors, his dark green immuniates to the hallway. The camera zooms onto his name plate, it simply reads Kyle McClaine.

"You," Chris angrily says as he points to Kyle angrily, however Kyle gets up and hugs Chris who is still sweating.
"Bro, what's up! I haven't seen you in a long minute," Says Kyle, he turns and waves into the camera.

"Wha- what happened to this place?" Asks Chris as he looks around.

"Well… since you were gone, the channel hasn't been doing too good thanks to Evelyn. She decided to tank the channel for her personal gain," Kyle says as he shakes his head, "After that, she was fired but it turned out she attracted most of the company's funding. So that went away when she went away. I was pushed into power and honestly. I'm doing all that I can, we're still surviving thanks to you," Kyle says as he points to Chris.

"Thanks to me?" Says Chris confused.

"Yeah, episode #1 for your show aired last week and it was a smash success, well I mean better than the other shows we've been airing , you know we still have to air them. Umm so what are you here for again?" Kyle asks as he taps his chin mysteriously.

"To ask for another season, you said it yours-" He's interrupted.

"Sure, as long as you do one thing for us," Kyle says as he pats Chris' back. Chris' eyes narrow as he looks toward his brother.
"What is it?" Chris asks questionably.

"Your going to have to let go of that umm co-host/ intern girl… um yeah Claire!" Kyle says, Chris is taken aback.

"What?" Chris says, the camera swings side to side from Chris to Kyle.
"All you have to do is let the girl go," Kyle says, "That's business,"

Chris gulps as he nods, "Okay…"

"Great, umm also I'm just going have to let you know, I really didn't want to do this but, we also have to cut your pay, it is way too expensive," Kyle says as he looks from the camera to Chris.

"Why?" Asks Chris offended.

"Well...number one it's expensive, number two we're bringing in Chip Gibson in for a separate reality show for adults," Kyle says.

"You're cutting my pay for someone who's been publicly blacklisted?" Chris asks, pissed off.

"It's not like that," Kyle sighs.

"Hey, give me one thing that Chip can do that I can't," Chris asks hysterically.

"Don't-" Kyle says as he shakes his head.

"Here's something that I can do that he can't, I can go to a public park. Can he do the same?" Chris asks infuriated.

"He disgusts and offends me on a personal level," Chris continues.

"..." Kyle remains silent.

"I will do anything, for my show, anything. I would take it into the middle of space, I… I would make them use tons of, I don't know robots, I'd make it a singing show, heck I- I'd even put it on a train, or a plane, or a boat. But, I won't take it for half price," Chris complains. Stev hangs his head in disappointment.

"Either you take the cut or have no show," Kyle tells Chris bluntly.

"Wait wh- what?" Chris says.

"Not only that but if I get one lawsuit from that show, you're gone for good," Kyle says as he places his hand on his table.

"Should I tell him about the boy?" Whispers Stev into Chris' ear.

"Don't," He whispers back.

Chris sighs, "Ok then,"

"However, we'll pay if the island is somehow destroyed," Shrugs Kyle.

Chris raises an eyebrow as he comes up with a thought "Would you?"

"Don't even think about it," Kyle says as he sits down.

"I wasn't," Says Chris as a frown appears on his face.

"Good...now that the business time is over, what's up with you," Kyle asks as he smiles. He keeps one hand underneath the table and one over the table. Chris sees and is disgusted but doesn't show it. The camera zooms in on the two of them on opposite sides of the table.

"Well...Kyle, I haven't been running a business and stealing our parent's attention, that's what's up," Mutters Chris underneath his breath.

"I'm sorry, I didn't hear you," Kyle says concerned.

"Oh, I just said that I've just been working on the show," Chris smiles.

"Well I wonder, why do you never call me, I'm on my pocket phone all the time," Kyle says sincerely.

"Oh… I don't have one," Chris says.

"Come on brother, it's 2006 and you're telling me you don't have a pocket phone. I mean everyone has one, it's so easy to call people, on the go!" Kyle says excited.

"That's just not me… I'm more of an old fashion type person," Chris jokes.

"But, I'm older than you," Kyle points.

"Ha ha," Chris says as he shoves Kyle's finger out the way.

"Well… anyways, I decided to give you a gift," Kyle smiles at Chris' sarcastic smile. He pulls out a bottle of red wine from his hand from under the table.

Stev gasps.

Chris smiles wide, he grabs the bottle, "Wow, thanks man,"

"No problem, I know you have some taste," Kyle smiles as Chris accepts the bottle.

"Wow, umm thank you, so much," Chris says as he looks down at the bottle.

"No pro-" Kyle says before an embarrassing ringtone goes off. The phone moans as Kyle embarrassingly blushes. Did you get that? Chris mouths as the camera swings up and down.

"Hello?" Asks Kyle as he motions for the two to get out of his office. However before they go, Kyle quickly throws a tie dye Ty dye Tshirt at the camera.

"Oh my goodness he did something for me!" Shouts Stev gleefully.

"Wait do you have this all on tape?" Asks Chris cautiously.

"Yeah the battery is so fu-" Stev says before the tape abruptly ends.
