When She left

Draco's point of view when Hermione left with Harry and Ron to defeat Voldemort.

Disclamer: I do not own Harry Potter. I only own my various plots, characters I've made up and the inventive ways of Ron dying. DIE RON DIE!

I've been tossing and turning for the last two hours.

I keep having this re-occuring dream where Hermione leaves me.

I sigh and turn over.

Then my door opens.

I steady my breathing and open one eye.

The figure moves to the window and is bathed in pale moonlight.

Hermione.

I quietly sit up and watch her for a while.

Finally I can't take it any longer.

"Min?"

She turns – and for a moment I see a fleeting glimpse of the torture inside.

I got out of bed and walk towards her.

"Draco," she said.

I hugged her and suddenly both of us didn't want to let go.

Locked together in a desperate embrace neither of us wanted to end.

I breathed in her hair, before reluctantly pulling out of the hug and holding her at arms length.

I could feel it – something was wrong.

"I love you, you know that?" I say.

She nodded her head.

"I love you too".

She hugged me one last time, and then went back to her dorms.

I gave a sigh, before going to sit on the window sill.

I never got any sleep that night.

And then the next morning she was gone.

All I have now is the memory of that night, and us exchanging silent promises.

And as I remember, I wait. Wait for her to come back.

I waited for her then, and I'll continue to wait forever.

Maybe, just maybe, we'll be together again.

A/N: So what you guys think? I know it's REALLY REALLY short, I apologise, but I'm not a great length writer. So scroll down to the bottom of the page, set the little window to "Submit review" and click "Go"!
