A/N I really didn't think this would end up as good as this. Also, it's supposed to be inspired by Labyrinth, but please bear in mind that I literally only know it because I read the synopsis on Wikipedia…

Bill loved his sister. That was an absolute clarity. Everyone loved Ginny actually. She was probably the parent's favourite, with him just after; being the eldest and the youngest had always had it's avantages, after all.

Bill also loved his brothers, all five of them. Though, of course, that might've been slightly less obvious. Charlie was a little ball of fire, but absolutely worshipped him, Percy didn't care about anybody and was always reading a book, and Fred and George were absolute menaces but could always make them laugh. Ron, though… He loved him, of course. But it was almost as though he was the brother too many, sometimes.

So, when Mrs Weasley had decided to let them go to the fair in the nearby village, while she took Charlie shopping for Hogwarts (and Ginny with her, because she was the little baby), all the boys had been elated. She left a thirteen-year-old Bill with four of his brothers.

Everything went fine, and soon it was almost time for them to go home. Already the sky was turning dark, which was quite unusual for an August night. The boys had finished with the Labyrinth, which magic had allowed to grow. It was made of fabulously high hedges with thick green foliage, so there was no way to see through to the other side. Bill had waited outside with Percy, who had refused to go.

Finally, after a bit of time, the twins showed up again, having grabbed the magic portkey which would bring you back to the beginning. They waited some time for Ron to appear again.

"Where is he?" moaned Percy, clearly anxious to get home.

"Yeah, this is boring," added George.

"George and I are going to go back now," declared Fred.

"Then I'm coming too!" said Percy.

"No!" shouted Bill. "You're all waiting here! Also, Fred, George, weren't you supposed to be waiting for Ron."

"We were, but suddenly he disappeared," whined Fred.

"Yeah, and we tried to look for him, but we couldn't hear him."

"So you just abandoned him."

"Umm," they chorused, looking distracted.

"Yes, you did." Bill sighed. "Fine, then I guess I'll just have to go in then."

Just as he said those words, the clouds turned even darker, and the whole fair was cast in a dark shade. It was all very dark and foreboding, almost as though a storm was going to crack at any moment. The maze suddenly looked slightly less appealing.

Percy cowered. "You're… you're going to go back in there?"

"Well, of course! I can't just leave Ron." Though frankly, looking at the maze, maybe it was a better idea now, Ron would make his way back.

"Yeah, it looks-" started George.

"-really freaky," finished Fred.

"Well, unlike you," Bill stood a little straighter. Abandon his brother? What had been going through his mind? His mother would have him whipped to death if he did that. "I'm not scared, not at all." Fake it till you make it. But the more he thought about it, the more he was filled with courage. He wasn't a Gryffindor for nothing after all! "Nox stay here and don't move!" he told his brothers and they all nodded, looking anxiously at the entrance of the labyrinth.

With one last look at his three younger brothers, Bill made his way into the maze. He had never been into one of these, and curiosity naturally got the better of him. The path, where there had once been grass, had been downtrodden to dirt. The leaves were dark green, gleaning in the eerie light of the approaching storm.

As Bill ran through the endless corridors, trying to find Ron, he noticed strange looking plants of all sorts of colours, acid green, puke yellow, blood red. Were all labyrinths like this? The flowers were probably meant to be pretty but all they could do was remind him of toxic plants they had been studying in Herbology.

After wandering aimlessly around for a couple of minutes, meeting dead end after dead end, Bill suddenly heard a noise. There was a soft cry. Bill instantly recognised the noise. It was Ron. His silly brother Ron! Bill tried to follow the noise, but there was another dead end at every turn! Bill could understand how much people liked exploring these places, but to him it seemed more like an infernal prison where he could never find the end of.

As Bill ran past an entrance, he suddenly spotted a glistening statue! It was probably the exit. He ran through the passage to it, that he still needed to get Ron. Regretfully, he made his way out of the arena, hoping he would be able to find it again.

"This is the end," he reminded himself, "and there's no going back."

Running straight forward, Bill finally saw his little brother at the end of a passage. He jogged up over to him. His little brother was sat on the floor, crying his little heart out. Seeing him all helpless and weak, Bill was suddenly filled with a surge of love. How could he possibly have thought of abandoning him? Bill loved his brother so much, no matter how much he annoyed him at times.

"Ron," he whispered kindly.

"Bill!" he cried out. Bill took him in his arms.

"Why did you not stay with Fred and George?" he chided kindly, making his way back tothe statue, hopefully remembering the way.

"There was a goblin," Ron mumbled.

"A goblin?"

"A goblin King, he had a big crown."

"Oh really?"

"I want a big crown too."

"Ron, were you daydreaming again?" Bill asked him. His little brother had a terrible tendency of getting lost in his own imagination. It was surprising that things like this had never happened before. Maybe it would disappear when he grew up.

"Day… day-dreaming," Ron agreed.

Bill reached the place with the statue. It was clearly the loveliest place of the labyrinth, totally worth the whole exploration of the labyrinth, with lovely bushes everywhere, fairy lights and the kind-looking statue.

"Now, Ron. That was scary, right?"

"Yes," the little one agreed, threatening to burst into tears again.

"Now, you must stick with your brothers, always. Okay? We will always be there for you." And Bill truly meant it when he said that.

Ron nodded.

"Well, I think you've quite learnt your lesson," Bill concluded as he brushed away the last couple of tears from his little brother's eyes. He grabbed hold of the statue's out-stretched hand and they were whooshed back to the beginning, where the rest of the Weasley gaggle was eagerly awaiting them. Fred and George gave a large cheer.

Looking back on it, Bill realised how much fun exploring the labyrinth had been. Maybe he could do it again one day. One day where he didn't have a crying little brother to find, perhaps. Yes he would like that.
