Chapter 7 Asgardian Welcome

Wanda's POV.

Slowly, I woke up exhausted due to the amount of time I let Amelia using my body and voice to speak. It had literally sapped all my strength. Everything hurt subtly. Everything. I slowly opened my eyes, painfully, after a two-hour nap to see Pietro, my brother, dozing off in a chair, surprisingly away from Shuri, and Clint resting, with his hands behind his head, next to me on the blanket.

I blushed in embarrassment. I was only wearing underwear and a bra so I was trapped beneath the blankets. But I wasn't complaining too much as I smiled. Happy and feeling funny, I gently hexed both Pietro and Clint from their perches to the floor softly, effectively waking them up.

Both of them yelled in surprise, complaining, as I laughed my head off. Pietro smiled, laughing hysterically as I was back to my old antics again. Clint just rolled his eyes, laughing, glad I was feeling better.

"Hey Wanda, daughter, how are you feeling after your nap?" Clint asked me, putting a fatherly hand on my shoulder gently as he sat on the edge of the bed.

I rubbed my eyes, "I'm alright, still a little tired and sore all over, but I should be able to go shopping with Sif later if I get some food in me."

Clint nodded smiling, "Sounds like a plan. Would you like to go get some food now, my daughter?"

I blushed, shaking, "I would, but I'm undressed under the blankets. Would one of you get me an outfit and set it on the bed? Seems my last outfit is too sweaty and gross. Either turn around or just leave? I'll be out in a jiffy." Pietro nodded.

"I'll get you an outfit, sis. Just hang tight there." Pietro said teasingly as he moved about the room to get my outfit together.

"Punk, always trying to tease me." I teased back, Clint raising a brow at my reference to James' use of punk for Steve. It was starting to rub off on me.

"You know, I am twelve minutes older than you." Pietro smiled at me smugly as he set the outfit on the bed, causing Clint to chuckle quietly at the reference.

"Yes, yes, like I haven't heard that before." I smiled as I rolled my eyes.

Clint and Pietro turned their backs to me as I changed out of the bra and panties into the new under wear and the outfit: a pair of denim capris with a white t-shirt and a beautiful burgundy and gold kimono that had a black dragon on it to match. I put on a pair of cute, matching sandals and my earrings and rings. This outfit Natasha had bought me here in Wakanda several days ago before Thanos. Pietro paused to place the Soul Stone on my neck as he had picked it up from Amelia's body after I had lost consciousness. He knew it was completely unsafe out in the open like that being it was an Infinity Stone. I brushed my hair and put it in a side French braid.

As I finished, Clint came over and placed a comforting hand on my shoulder. "I have some very good news for you Wanda," he said with a beaming smile, looking at me like a beloved daughter.

"Yes?" I asked.

"I called Laura yesterday and she gave me something as a wonderful gift. You'll love it. I didn't have a chance yesterday or this morning, but now I do." Clint rambled, his smiled only growing bigger as did Pietro's. I narrowed my eyes. Something was up.

I got impatient. "What is it Clint?" I took his hands in mine.

"She worked with Rodney and a few of Tony's agents the last few months while we were on the run, and as of yesterday, you and Pietro are now officially Pietro and Wanda Barton. You are legally my adopted daughter, Wanda. And Pietro is my son."

I stared at him in shock, joy running through me as I stepped forward and hugged him tightly, "You… you mean… you're my… my adoptive father? For sure? Officially?" I looked up locking tear-filled eyes with his.

He nodded, smiling so wide I thought his face would break, "Yes Wanda. I am your father. Adoptive father. My daughter."

I felt the tears race down my checks as I leaned my head against his chest, so joyful to have a family, an official father again. I officially had a family again. I even had the other Avengers as my family as well. I held Clint close, crying into his shirt, his arms holding me close, comforting, protectively, like a father would a daughter. He placed a kiss on my head as Pietro came over and joined us in a group hug. At that moment, Buck came in to witness our group hug. When he saw us, he smiled, coming over and surprisingly, joined us in the hug.

"Seems you know the news, doll." Buck smiled at me, pulling back from the hug. "Does that mean I get to call you father Clint? Or… old man?" He joked sarcastically as he smiled as Clint dramatically rolled his eyes.

"Call me over protective father, treat my daughter right, James. When you're officially married and have girls of your own, you'll understand. Besides… aren't you older than me?" Clint smirked at James who took the ribbing with a smile.

However, as James turned to go to the door to allow us out, Clint spoke up quietly, "James…" When said person turned to face Clint again, the latter person had a sinister frown on his face, a death glare that spoke volumes. The assassin that Clint had been trained to be was here. "I know you to be a good man, and I will stand with you always as a loyal friend and fellow Avenger. However, if you hurt Wanda, my now adopted daughter, James… in any way imaginable… there will be no place on this earth or anywhere in the known universe where you will be able to hide from me. I will find you and there will be hell to pay and blood split… Do we have an understanding?"

I gasped as did Pietro at Clint's unveiled threat. James simply smiled, the humbled Clint going from sweet father to an overprotective, unveiled threat speaking assassin father in moments, knowing he had it coming to him. "Yes, I believe we do, Clint." Accepting the threat with all its formality.

"Father, why?" I asked, noting that Clint looked at me in happiness, but that look disappeared when he frowned again.

He looked to me, "It's reasonable, Wanda. As my daughter, my precious daughter, just like I assume your biological father believed you were when he was alive, are precious beyond measure, I need to threaten any suitor that could potentially hurt you. That means even the right suitor, meaning James." Pietro and James nodded in agreement with Clint. I huffed yet conceited to their decision.

"Hey, how about we get lunch and then have Sif take Natasha and Wanda to Asgard to get dresses?" Pietro suggested, the mood shifting again to one of peace.

Clint, James, and I agreed. Migrating to the kitchen, we all discovered Peter, MJ, Scott, and Sam had returned with food for all. Shuri, Pepper, T'Challa, and Okoye there as well. Steve and Natasha got up from the couch they were cuddling on and joined us in the kitchen. An hour later, I walked with Natasha, MJ, Pepper, Shuri, and Sif and her maids to the open landing fields so Sif could transport us to Asgard for dress shopping.

I kissed James goodbye, promising to go sneak away with him later to go make love somewhere secret in the Wakandan countryside, perhaps in his old hut he had lived in. I felt his arousal as I hugged him, teasing him through our bond. And with a wave of my fingers, I sauntered away, waving goodbye as I took Sif's hand.

Flashes of lights caused the scene to shatter, replaced by a new scene. A man in golden armor, Heimdall who was guard and keeper of the Bifrost, greeted Sif and then us, allowing us to go with Sif and her maids to an awaiting carriage on the Bifrost. We approached the palace and I gapped in awe of Asgard's beauty, reviling Wakanda's, possibly even more so.

We reached the palace, greeted by Thor and Loki. Seeing Loki brought mixed feelings to rise in me since our last interaction at the Raft ended rather badly. I frowned as we walked towards them. As I approached Thor, Loki came forward towards me, causing me to stop and unconsciously step back in fear.

He raised a brow, frowning, "Has the Scarlet Witch been tamed and become fearful herself?" His question caused me to shrink back further behind my friends, and Natasha and Sif both sneered at him, with the former pulling out a knife. Whereas Pepper, MJ, and Shuri glared, jeered, and hissed at him. Loki grimaced and stepped back from Natasha's sneer and her knife.

"LOKI! Behave!" Thor shouted, causing Loki to cringe in guilt, cuffing him on the back of his head.

My fear disappeared as I got the courage to go forward and I slapped Loki on the check, leaving an imprint on his check. Everyone went silent at that, looking at me in surprise. Fear in Loki's eyes as he stepped backwards, "How dare you show yourself to me, coward! Though I suppose you do deserve some forgiveness." He looked to me in fear and shock. Thor frowned at me before he turned to Loki.

"Leave brother. I will speak with you later." Thor ordered him, sneering as he crossed his arms. I watched as Loki hesitated with troubled eyes, glancing at me before turning and disappearing down a hallway to my left.

"I am sorry. He's still getting his sentence hammered out while he has severely restricted access to the Palace grounds. When I learnt of your fate while in the Raft from him, I was beyond angered that he didn't do anything to help. I was furious. Outrage. Although that doesn't excuse me from not helping. I was otherwise occupied with other matters concerning our older sister and our father, who now we think will be in permanent Odin Sleep. Plus, with the recent disturbing sights of the moving shadows and strange incidents in the Desert of Ruin. And for that I am deeply sorry Wanda. He will be answering for his crimes in front of the council and the masses later this evening." Thor apologized.

Natasha frowned, putting her knife away somewhere on her persona before crossing her arms, "I hope so, Thor. He killed over 80 people in New York in two days alone during his invasion. And, he didn't lift a finger and allowed Clint, Sam, Scott, and Wanda to suffer horrendously in the Raft while he was there. He needs to be placed on trial immediately. Or as soon as Asgardian possible."

Thor sighed, knowing Natasha was serious, "Very well, Natasha. I speak with the council. He's…"

"You fear he will lose his life and you'll be lift without any family left. Right, Thor?" I interrupted unintentionally, understanding his fears as my eyes suddenly flashed red and tendrils leaked from my fingers and swirled around Thor's head and torso. It would be like seeing Pietro getting killed all over again. Same went to Thor, seeing Loki his brother die would break his heart. Even if it was the right thing to do.

Thor lowered his gaze, his shoulders dropping, his fear evident, "Yes… He's the only family I have left despite his crimes. I know he will have to pay for his actions, being with his life or eternal banishment from Asgard, but… he… he's all I have, despite him being adopted. I hope for the latter, as I would be able to see him, but I doubt it. He's the only family I have, other than Sif here. I doubt the council will see it in my eyes and I will lose him to death as well."

"I understand Thor. I truly do. To lose one's family." I said, referencing my true mother and father and relatives from Sokovia. Even Sokovia, my entire country and race were destroyed. I looked up at Thor sympathetically, "He's your brother, even though he's adopted. I will speak with him later." There may be hope yet for the two brothers.

Thor came over and hugged me in a bear hug, "Thank you young Wanda." He pulled away and looked to Sif, "Do you need anything else, love?"

Sif shook her head, "No, Thor. I have everything ready." She smiled, causing Thor to brighten his features. Sharing a heated kiss, Thor kept Sif to himself, an arm around her waist in love and possession.

"Good. Well, I'll be back later friends. I'm still speaking with the council on the Aether. They're being tough to convince to let the Stone go to Amelia, but I can tell their minds are starting to be swayed. Albeit slowly… I'll bring updates later." I nodded as did Nat.

Nodding in turn, Thor bid his farewell until later, following his brother's path of departure. I watched as he left, and I could tell by his body language and being on the edge of his mind, he was somewhat defeated at the situation with Loki. I would have to talk to him about it. If I had the chance.

Sif chuckled, staring after her husband, "He's such a goober, yet I love him so. Come! I have a plethora of dresses you two can look at in my wardrobe as well as dresses I brought in from a shop near here." She gestured and lead us to her rooms, which were massive.

For the next five and a half hours, Natasha and I tried on dresses from Sif's collection, showing each one to Pepper, Thalia, and Shuri.

Halfway through, we all realized that Pepper would need a wedding dress as well and that the wedding itself would need to be changed to a triple wedding. At the end of the five and half hours, all three of us had decided on Asgardian wedding dresses. In Asgardian culture, white wasn't used as the color of the dress, instead the major factors were the color and the style most matching to the woman's personality and characteristics. All our dresses were similar in design, but obviously unique to our own unique personality.

I had chosen a green dress with a choker that held a cape which showed my shoulders. I had a formfitting sweetheart designed bodice that had ruffs around my breasts and a matching belt that had a sash leading down to the floor. The skirt was flowing outward with embedded emeralds and Swarovski crystals over varying shades of green.

Natasha had chosen a ruby red dress with silver accents and instead of a choker, the silver shoulder adornments held her cape in place. Her dress had an empire waist with the outer layer of the bodice ruby red and the under layer being charcoal gray. The adornments were silver and had rubies embedded in it. The dress itself had rubies and Swarovski crystals of varying shades of red embedded in it as well.

Pepper had gone with a beautiful sky-blue dress with no sleeves, only beautiful arm jewelry leading up to a high collar. Her bodice had silver embroidery around the undersides of her breasts separating the stomach gray and her chest blue color. The skirt of the dress was a beautiful ballroom bottom that was made of a flowy material. It was adorned with blue diamonds.

We all had veils that complimented each of our dresses. Shuri and Thalia were beyond happy, yet now as the only two bridesmaids besides Lila Barton, not enough to help three brides for a triple wedding and all. Sif suggested that she could be a bridesmaid, though with her own wedding soon, within the week, and being queen of Asgard she was quite hesitant, sending her maids with the dresses to get them altered for the women after taking measurements of Natasha's, Pepper's, and my bodies. Pepper's bridesmaid dress would now need to be placed to the side for someone else to use.

Thor came to their room towards the end of looking at dresses and I saw my opportunity to be able to speak with him alone. In a quiet corner of the balcony, I cornered him and asked, "Thor, have you spoken with the council yet on Loki's sentence?"

Thor sighed, shaking his head, "No, but my goal was to go there right after I check on you here. The council and I are going to decide and publicly announce his sentence at evening meal. Why do you ask?"

I looked out over the city of Asgard, avoiding his eyes. He placed a comforting hand on my tense shoulder as I hesitantly and quietly murmured, "Would you be able to tell them that Loki spared my life when he found us on the Raft?"

Thor's brow knitted together, "How did he spare your life?"

I turned back to him though I continued to not look him in the eye. A tear found its way down my check as I remembered my time at the Raft, "The treatment I got at the Raft was pure torture to me. I… I wanted to die… Pietro was dead at the time still and I… I was yet again imprisoned like when I was with HYDRA. I was treated terribly… I almost gave up my will to live… Seeing myself as a menace to people… And when Loki found me, I was very close to just… collapsing and dying on the spot…

"I wanted him to kill me as a mercy killing so I could finally be at peace and see Pietro. He spared me, sorrowful and empathetic for me, and left… even as he knew what I wanted and would go through at the moment. He looked deeply into my eyes and he knew that I was made for a far greater purpose than at the time. The life I live now with you and every one of our family members. He understood my pain as he has experienced it quite like me and he knew to spare my life. For something greater purpose later. Please tell them that. Tell them that he still has his good side somewhere inside him. And that I know his struggle to come to terms with his past and redeem himself."

Thor hugged me, holding me until my tears stopped. He even waved off the others until then. Stepping back, he gently wiped the tears from my eyes with his thumbs, whispering, "Thank you, Wanda. You have given me hope again for Loki and peace. And the information to possible keep him alive. And here in Asgard." He held my hands like he would a beloved sister.

I smiled hauntedly at him, "You're welcome, Thor. Now get going. I am sure the council is ready to hear your words. And to decide on a quick sentence. I hope the best situation happens for Loki."

Thor nodded. He and I stepped back into the room just as Pepper finished picking out her dress. Speaking with Sif a moment of dinner, Thor kissed her and left for the council room. Sif sat in her chair and looked around, a pleased look on her face. Her maids placing the unchosen dresses back into her closet and drawers and taking the brides' dresses to get them taken in and altered.

Sif leaned back, feeling quite accomplished for helping all three brides to find their dresses. "We have an hour and a half before supper begins. Thor had the kitchens prepare a feast for your arrival today. He will be thrilled to know if you accepted." Sif asked, hopeful.

Too stunned to argue and no reason to decline, I and the other women immediately agreed to the idea. "How about we have you all change into typical Asgardian woman's garb? You'll fit in and feel better in this heat we are having here." Sif clapped after she saw the collective nod, her maids bringing out everyday dresses to change into.

I chose a red dress with off the shoulder sleeves and matching sandals. A circlet of rubies was given to me and when Sif explained it as a sign of respect and friendship as we each received one, placing the circlet on. Since Thor had become king, he and his people were much more open to letting people from Midgard come if they were known well.

Sif lead us all to an awaiting carriage and took us on a short tour of the city. We all were in awe of the Asgard. Sif gave us a beautiful, condensed tour of the city and countryside in the short time we had. As sunset rolled around, we went back to the palace, Sif leading us to the banquet hall. We were all announced, and to my surprise as well as Natasha's, Shuri's, Pepper's, and Thalia's, our men, save T'Challa and Tony, were there laughing and conversing with Thor and his council. Sam and Scott were there, drinking more than the others. Clint was chatting away with Thor, James, and Steve. Surprisingly, Loki was there, off to the side, in the shadows, waiting on Thor. They all stood when we arrived in the room. Several of Thor's warrior friends were there as well.

James' and Steve's eyes were wide, both taking in my and Natasha's forms, leaving much to be wanted and desired. Both smiled as they came forward to greet Natasha and I. James kissed me and twirled me around several times before drawing all of me into his arms. Steve drew Natasha into a deep and abiding kiss before he led her over to sit down.

An Asgardian guard announced Laura, Lila, and Cooper. Nathaniel was left home with grandparents to watch for the next three days. I squirmed out of James' embrace and raced to meet them, hugging Laura close.

"Mother!" I all but shouted as I launched myself into her arms, as I set off red fireworks with my powers. Pietro made it a group hug in seconds as he had raced across the room. I hugged Lila and Cooper before going to rejoin our companions.

I sat as close to James as possible without sitting on his lap during dinner, whispering sweet nothings and chatting about the Asgardian culture and landscape. But as dinner was starting to be taken away the dancing began. James looked to me and asked, "Would you like to dance with me my witch?" Nodding vigorously, I agreed without hesitation. He led me to the dance floor and twirled me into the waltz that was starting. As he spun me around and drew me close again, he leaned down to whisper in my ear, "You look ravishing, my witch. If it weren't expected of us to remain here for a while, I would take you to our chambers and ravish you." I blushed beet red as he twirled me around.

As we danced on, he and I conversed, his eyes never leaving mine as I spoke in a low tone that only he could hear, "Thank you, my Bucky. You look delectable as well. If you treat me to some chocolate after a few more dances, that dance you speak of, I would love to do later in the privacy of our bedroom." I giggled as he growled in a slightly feral way, attempting to reign in his arousal.

~The Bifrost… Ragnar's POV…~

Ragnar sneered as the guardian of the Bifrost closed the gates to Midgard and several others, seeing the faint movements of a few of my Twilight beast guards in the corners of the room. He was aware I was around and he had a spear in hand and a barrier around himself. He called to the guards outside to bring Thor the message that there were intruders. I growled low and cursed, "Move through to Vanaheim, you whelp! And get the Light Spirit's light!" My group of marauding corrupted Twilight beasts rushed through the open gate to Vanaheim, and it closed with a thud behind me as I followed.

My master growled in my ear, "You'd do better to keep my foot soldiers more hidden; you fool! The guardian of the Bifrost knows now that you are moving through the gates."

I nodded, knowing he was correct. Yet I mumbled to him as I cockily strolled straight to the Light Spirit's spring, "With the plan I have in place, though, even he will be unable to stop me, master."

My master hmphed and started to pull away from my mind. I could feel his sneer filled answer before he completely blocked his mind from my own, "We shall see, whelp."

~Wanda's POV… Asgardian Ballroom…~

After a few more dances, dessert was announced, a delicious cherry cake that had chocolate drops added in for taste. I was halfway through eating my piece when I decided to dazzle the crowd with fireworks from my powers. I sent little harmless fireworks up above the gathering, causing oohs and awes to sound in delight to raise in the banquet hall. I even practiced some different shapes and animals, like a rabbit and a wolf playing tag, and a dragon spewing fire.

I felt peace come over me. People didn't fear me; I caused much joy and fun to happen and not fear. I sent a rabbit running and was surprised when Cooper went chasing after it with laughter. As I looked around the room at the joyous looks, laughing at Copper's disappointed look when the rabbit floated away, I spied Loki nearby, looking straight at me in respect and fear. He looked… older, saddened, reserved, burdened by his past.

My mind unfocused from Loki for a moment and I felt of pang of danger coming from the Bifrost, Heimdall's urgent messages to the guards outside to send reinforcements. I ignored it, thinking it was probably something due to the dark elves or fire demons. I'm sure it isn't a threat to the realms or to any of us. I thought before I shook off my stupor and looked to Loki again,

My smile faded, replaced by a curious look. Thor's servants were taking away the rest of dinner and bringing out another dessert a simpler lemon sherbet and alcoholic drinks. I saw my opportunity to go and speak with him at that moment. And it had to be alone.

I looked up to James, his gorgeous face framed by his shoulder length hair I so loved on him, "Hey soldier, I need to speak with someone. I'll be right back." I murmured to him.

James' smiled faded a bit, "Don't gone too long speaking with him doll. Or I'll kill him." My eyes went wide a moment, realizing he knew who I was going to speak with.

Walking towards the door, acting like I was going to go to the restrooms, I maneuvered myself to meet up with Loki. Soon I met up with him face to face, fear rolling off him in waves. He turned to me, his eyes not giving away any of his fear, even though I could feel it through my powers.

"What do you want, Scarlet Witch? To hex me for what I did or didn't to you? For what I have done to humanity? To show me my fears?" Loki accused me, a sneer on his face.

I smiled sweetly, "I could Loki, I could. However, … I have a better fate for you." He frowned stepping back in fear as I stepped forward, summoning my powers.

"I have decided to… forgive you." I said as I stepped close to him, bringing him closer to me. He shrunk back in fear but was met with a barrier I made from my powers. I continued, "You have suffered too much, Loki. Just like I have. Who am I to condemn you?" I finally felt peace in my soul and the shock and joy rise in his. He looked to me in a second, shock written all over his face before it broke into a relief-filled one, I could feel his spirits lift. But his tears didn't fall, he was too dignified to cry in public. He hesitantly approached me.

"Why?" Loki asked, knowing his tears were close to the surface.

I closed the distance and led him to the shadows behind a pillar to allow privacy. I touched his arm in comfort, "Because you were put under too big a weight by your father to be something you were never meant to be and you were judged for his wrongdoings and yours. You were wronged by King Odin, even though he was your father. I see you know right and wrong Loki. You know what the right thing to do. You deserve to be loved and to love and be accepted as you are. Not as you were seen as your father wanted to. You harmed many people and killed others, yes, and grave consequences will be dealt, severe if that may be the case, but everyone deserves a chance at life again. Including you. In that, I can forgive you, Loki." He choked back a sob as he placed a gentle hand to my check.

"Thank you… Wanda. You don't know what your words mean to me." Loki whispered out.

"I believe I do. They are freeing." I said before I pulled him into a gentle, loving hug. He tensed, not knowing what to do before relaxing and hugging me back, not having a hug like this since his mother's death aside from Thor's hugs. He didn't want to let me go, I could tell he felt like I was a newfound loving sister to him who understood and saw him for who he is. Just like his mother had.

He clung to me, not wanting to let me go when someone cleared their throat. Loki and I pulled away from each other to see Thor smiling a few feet away. Loki hmphed as Thor laughed, "Brother, I am glad to see you have made peace with Lady Wanda."

Loki frowned, crossing his arms, suddenly trying to be like his old self, dignified and closed, "What do you want Thor?"

Thor chuckled, coming over to place a brotherly arm around Loki's shoulders, who tensed, and stumbled a little under his brother's sudden hug, "I have good news brother. The sun is truly shining down on us again this day. The council and I decided to lighten your burden of permanent imprisonment as a human on the planet of Vormir to 50 years of servitude as a human to Wanda, James, and the Avengers. You are to be a servant to them all. On earth.

"That way you can be near her yet be near enough to speak with me. You will be stripped of all your powers during that time. You'll be a mere human, not your typical Asgardian god-like self. Though if an emergency happens, you will be granted your Asgardian status again." Loki's eyes went wide, a tear going down his check, grateful, yet saddened to leave Asgard. Thor continued, "Also, I have better news. Do you remember Amelia Draconsire?"

This time Loki's jaw dropped in shock, as he backed up a step, "You… you mean our… our nursemaid who loved us like sons? 'The' Amelia who gave her life to save us and Odin banished because of it?"

Thor nodded, "Yes. She's back Loki. She is, at present, in Wakanda on earth. However, she is in a comatose state due to a curse. I am speaking with the council to bring the Aether to her. She needs all six Infinity Stones to awaken her due to a curse that Thanos unlocked."

Loki straightened, standing tall, becoming the Loki the two of us knew and used to be as an Asgardian Prince, becoming his old self before all the chaos he caused, ready to serve, "I accept my sentence and I wholeheartedly will return with Wanda and the others to watch over Amelia until she is awoken. I cannot see any harm come to her." Loki saluted to Thor in the proper Asgardian way, "That is… if it pleases you… My King."

Thor, taken aback at his brother finally recognizing him as king, nodded, "Yes, Loki. That is alright with me. And Wanda…" Thor turned to me, and I smiled, "James is anxious to have you back. He wants to dance with you."

I blushed, loving how James wanted me. Loki cleared his throat, catching Thor's and my attention. He offered his arm to me, a rare smile gracing his face for the first time in a long while, "Would my lady allow me to escort her back to her mate?"

I giggled, taking his arm, "Indeed you may, my good sir." I smiled up at Loki who blushed in his own way. Thor smiled before he made his way back to Sif.

Loki escorted me to my table, handing me to James, who raised a brow in slight surprise. Said person smirked, nodding to Loki, and Loki, who in turn, nodded back before bowing and making his way back to shadow Thor, who seem to be disturbed about Heimdall's message.

James held me close, asking, "Do you want to dance my flower?"

I nodded, smiling, though raising my brow when he called me flower, "Yes. Yes, I do."

James smiled sheepishly, nervousness rolling off him, "Do you know how to dance the Tango, doll?"

"Yes, I do. I remember taking lessons from professionals during my time in Avengers' tower and I took personal lessons from Natasha. She and I loved watching Dancing with The Stars. The dance that Jana and Gleb did, the Argentine tango, is still in my mind. Why do you ask?" I asked him.

James smiled, wild eyes looking at me, "Well you and I are going to recreate that same dance that you just mentioned Wanda. I asked Thor to play that same segment of music and to provide a shower to recreate the ending. Would that be fine with you, doll?" He blushed, knowing it would be new to him as well and way out of his comfort zone. He was worried that people wouldn't stop staring at his arm and scars and then think of the past.

I lifted up his chin with a gentle hand, smiling, "Hey… Just focus on me James. Trust me that I will dance with you in this. It will be so sensual and bonding." My Sokovian accent now fully out again.

James smiled, his Brooklyn accent coming out fully as well, "Indeed doll. Just focus on you."

He took my hand in his and led me to a large pillar, helping me to hike up my dress to be useful for the tango and removing my heels. We talked about the bed segment, knowing that my dress would get in the way. He had changed into a loose men's tunic, like a pirate of old, making him so gorgeous to me. He nodded to Thor, who had the orchestra masterfully wrap up the current song before playing the music, I got onto the bed, as James sat on the edge, just as the music kicked up.

As we danced, everyone stopped what they were doing, entranced as we practically made love on the dance floor. When we made towards the end, the water brought it to a whole new level. And he never broke eye contact while we danced, making me love him more than ever. He slid his hand up my leg to my hip and as the music came to an end, he held me with strong arms at a sharp angle to the ground, my head almost touching the ground, my fingers touching. Hexes spread around us as I felt so empowered.

I came up to hug him as he helped me. He looked at me with love, neither of us noticing the cheering and clapping, whistling at the beautiful performance. Both of us soaking wet, James helped me down the step, chests heaving. I kissed him deeply as he kissed me back, as I hugged him tightly, a broad smile on my face before we parted. Loki handed us each a towel.

Steve and Natasha came over to James and I, congratulating us on our beautiful dance. As James pulled me close, a huge smile on both his face and mine, never leaving my eyes. Our family surrounded us saying how beautiful we looked together. I blushed beet red, embarrassed that I had become so brazen in public.

I breathed heavily from the tango we danced. I was rather tired and, with being soaked to the bone now, I was hoping for a nice, warm, dry bed. But as I made to turn, Natasha yelled, "Now that… Is chemistry! You two killed that tango!" I squealed, beyond elated, leaning into an equally happy Bucky, who also had some Asgardian women ogling his chiseled chest and metal arm to which I growled quietly. But I was too tired to care, and he never noticed. If he did, he ignored those women, knowing I was all he wanted.

James, a wide smile on his face, must have sensed it, as he said, "Thank you all! Wanda is feeling rather tired from the day. She and I am going to go to bed to sleep for the evening." His hair now slicked back with water.

Everyone nodded, Steve refusing to hug us both as did Natasha, "Good night you two. You two have a lovely night together." Natasha said with a knowing smile, fingers waving, and wink as she smirked.

I mockingly scolded her, "Natasha!" Said person laughed, Steve chasing her away to the other side of the dance floor after saying good night to us. I was glad to have Steve and Natasha. Steve was a brother to me and Natasha a sister to me. Clint and his family sent us off with air hugs and good nights as did Peter, Thalia, Pietro, Shuri, and Thor.

Loki then escorted James and I to our room himself. I would have hugged him goodnight though being soaked, I didn't. Instead, I thanked him for the talk and for escorting us. He then left James and I alone, disappearing through the door and closing it firmly behind us. James went over and locked the door.

When he turned to face me, James let out a feral growl, very well aroused after the tango and at my wet appearance, my dress clearly clinging to me in all the right places. He stalked towards me slowly, water dripping from his clothing and mine, and I smiled in return, slowly backing up as he advanced on me. His hair was slicked back and it made him look like the rogue soldier I loved.

Gesturing seductively with my hand and jetting my hip at him, I whispered to him, "Come get me, soldier." I smiled and squealed as I turned, running away from him playfully. He raced after me, growling in a feral way. I barely ever used my powers on him, but to be flirtatious, I hexed him slightly, causing him to slip a little to allow myself to gain some distance between us. I giggled hysterically as I ran around the room away from him. I used my hexes to tease his manhood, bringing him to the edge of pleasurable insanity.

James growled louder and he raced after me again, faster, catching me between the bed and the balcony door. We fell to the floor and as we did, he trapped me beneath him as I giggled hysterically, using hexes to prevent us from slamming into the ground, knowing he was too far gone to reason with, his feral, instinctual side fully out. I closed my eyes, moaning as he trailed kisses down my neck to just above my breasts.

I pressed myself into him, begging him to take me. He sounded like he had lost his sanity to his instinctual need to love me as he lifted me off the floor, undressing me and then himself before trapping me beneath himself on the bed. Soon we lost ourselves to each other in the oldest dance known to man and woman. Becoming one as we made beautiful love to each other.

Loki's POV.

I walked away blushing from Wanda's and James' room after I heard James' amorous growl. I walked the hall, finally feeling free and at peace because of Wanda's free gift of forgiveness. I finally felt acceptance, love, and peace. I was also happy, giddy almost, to know Amelia was back, resurrected in a way. As I arrived back at the banquet hall, I paused to look around the room. The small party nearly was at its end, most of the revelers were in bed or too deep into conversations or plain out too drunk to move.

I paused, feeling the pang of danger again in my chest and I winched. I needed to tell Thor that there was danger afoot. Something major was moving and it was threatening Asgard and all the different realms. Including Wanda's realm of Midgard. I looked to the throne and I raised a brow.

Thor was still in deep conversation with Steve, Natasha was nowhere to be found though. Natasha scared me; she was the one that had snuck up behind me in the Avengers' helicarrier, just like any other time after that. I didn't know where she was, and that scared me. She was one I truly was afraid of, not Wanda. Clint and his family were gone, sharing a room with Pietro and Shuri. Sam and Scott were drinking, cracking jokes, though soon they were stumbling off to their room by Thor's order as they were drunk. Pepper shared a room with Peter and MJ, all three gone as well.

I went over to join Steve and Thor, just happy to be at peace and accepted. Steve was swinging Mjolnir around and Thor his axe, Trygve. I sat down at a chair a short distance away, respecting Thor and Steve's conversation and afraid I would be rejected. I stopped dead when I heard Steve say, "Loki! Come closer! Join your brother and I over here!" I was shocked at Steve's acceptance at my presence. I stood and slowly approached them. I sat down heavily when he offered an untouched glass of an Odinson.

"So, Loki, I heard that you're to serve Wanda and Buck as their servant, which I heard is your punishment. It'll be good to hear your stories of growing up with Thor when we get back. Perhaps you will be willing to help us on missions?" Steve smirked at me as he asked me before he took a swing of an Odinson, something I wasn't used to seeing him drink. Though I suppose it was the only type of drink, aside from other Asgardian drinks, that could get a Midgardian super soldier like himself anywhere near drunk if he wanted like us Asgardians, even if he was a Midgardian. Though being a super solider made him on par with an Asgardian.

Hmm… I wonder. With Steve's addition to Asgard, Asgard would have new blood here to move about… Plus I would have a worthy opponent to face off with in the dojo… I would have to suggest to Thor about the device in the historical archives to make the avengers like us Asgardians. And starting with Steve.

Though if I was honest, Steve was always one to see the good side in people, even if they did do wrong. Perhaps… perhaps he even sees the good in me. He smiled, saying, almost as if he had read my thoughts, "Everyone deserves a second chance Loki. Just because I was against you before, doesn't mean I wanted you dead. Come." I looked at Steve, flabbergasted. We used to hate each other. Well… he hated me… I didn't care for him much… Now he and I are on good terms? Yes… I see now… He does see the good in people. Even me.

Thor offered me his axe and I, absentmindedly took it and relaxed my arms on the arm rests, not realizing that it had never dropped to the floor. Thor smiled, Steve's eyes widened, but a smile broke out on his face as he swung Mjolnir slower before I realized what had happened. Steve knew I had good in me and wanted me to be redeemed as much as his friend James Barnes had been redeemed.

Holding up Trygve in my left arm, I gasped down at the axe in my left hand, just now fully realizing I truly had been redeemed. And I finally broke down, crying in front of two friends I trusted. Thor and Steve comforted me as I did, shielding me from others' view. Sitting there, feeling free, I thought with awe. My brother is right, the sun truly is shining down on both of us again this day. Soon we then all went to bed, for tomorrow was a new day. As I laid in bed, I fell asleep with another rare smile on my face, knowing many more were to come in the very near future.

Pietro's POV.

I lay on the bed, next to my new adoptive brother Cooper and I listened as Lila breath as she slept near our bed on a cot. Nathaniel was back on earth with grandparents for the next three days. Clint and Laura were in the adjacent room asleep. Mother. Father. I loved you both so much and I miss you so. But I believe I have in my heart room enough for new parents. I looked over to the cot that Shuri slept on. She was so beautiful.

Perhaps I could find a ring for her here in Asgard. I saw a jewelry shop near the market's edge. Maybe they have sapphires here. I thought, as I stared at the ceiling, sleep claiming me.

I will be posting one more chapter this week before I take a rest for a few days. But I hope to get to the niddy griddy of the story before the end of next week for you all to enjoy!

Until next time and yours truly,
