Hello everybody and welcome back to "To Eternity, My Witch". Random fact for the day, I did not come up with the title of this story until I decided to post this on here for y'all to read.
I DO NOT Own any of these as they are and were created by their respective creators. Marvel is owned by the late Stan Lee via Disney. Phantom of the Opera (PotO) is owned by Andrew Llyod Weber. LofZ : TP and OofT by Shigeru Miyamoto. Fire Emblem by Shouzou Kaga. Black Butler by Yana Toboso. And finally, Inuyasha by Rumiko Takahashi.
Chapter 9 Corruption and Training…
~Ragnar's POV… Muspelheim's Temple…~
I sneered at the fire demon Volga, who growled and thrashed around in pain. I growled back in anger, "You will do my bidding, or you will meet your death this day, vermin!" I roared and let out a wave of dark energy, enhanced with my master's evil powers, and the wave hit Volga with enough force to throw him hard against the wall behind him. I forced him onto the heavy, swaying metal grid, placing a corrupted orb of back energy into Volga's forehead. It made the fire demon roar in pain, calling out to Link to save him from this fate again.
I growled, "He will not save you again this time, Volga. You will do my will and defeat him when he comes here. If you fail, you know the fate of your kind…" Volga roared weakly in sorrow, knowing he wouldn't get out of this alive against me. He looked to me, and he would make sure I would pay when he faced James.
I roared, "You will defeat James, Volga! Mark my words, for you will never get your revenge against me." I pushed the last of the orb into Volga's skull, completing my task. Volga roared again and raged around the chamber before diving into the lava lake below to wait. I smiled and left leaving several groups of Twilight beasts to patrol for James' arrival if he made it out alive.
~Wanda's POV…~
We found our way and quickly arrived in the Throne room, which the doors were sealed and placed under heavy guard. Everyone was there, Dr. Stephen Strange holding the Time Stone, Pietro wore the Soul Stone, T'Challa grasped the case that had the Power and Space Stones, and Thor held a newly constructed Tesseract that safely contained the Aether (Reality Stone) in it. Amelia was in the arms of Clint, who held her like a daughter. Laura, Lila, and Cooper gathered around him and Amelia in a cluster, as if protecting them.
A man, tall, muscular, and black haired, stood remarkably close by. He was quite handsome for someone so young looking, yet so old looking, and built largely. His eyes were odd in that his left eye was a deep blood red, and his right eye was a deep sapphire blue that would put sapphires to shame just like Amelia's eyes. Yet he had an intelligence behind them, wisdom beyond his years that rivaled Amelia's. Amelia appeared in spirit form next to him, tapping her temple, asking everyone if she could enter our minds.
"Hello everyone. Today's the day that I will be awakened, the curse that Thanos unleashed unintentionally will break. I want to introduce Paul, my friend and confidant from Reslutia. He's here to make sure that everything goes smoothly." Amelia announced, touching the man's arm lightly. Paul nodded to everyone.
Thor frowned, "Amelia, the Aether should be placed in your hand last aside from Wanda touching your hand. It could jump potentially, but knowing you, it shouldn't." Amelia nodded.
Amelia looked to Clint, nodding, "You can set me on the table Clint." Amelia disappeared inside her body; a slight moan was heard coming from her. Clint gently laid Amelia on the table and he retreated several steps. Thor orders everyone to stand back a little way, just to be safe. I followed Wanda closely. Only Thor, Loki, Wanda, and I remained within five feet of Amelia the whole time until she was awoken. Loki took the Time and Soul stones from Dr. Strange and Pietro, Thor took the Tesseract that held the Aether, and I took the case from T'Challa.
We surrounded the table that Amelia laid on. Thor ordered, "Wanda, use your powers to place the Space, Power, and Aether stones into Amelia's chest. And Loki, place the Time and Soul Stones onto her chest next to them. When those five are on her chest, Wanda, I want you to touch her right hand. Since the Mind Stone is infused within you, the other five will synchronize with it and cause it to become physical again on her chest. James, be prepared to catch Wanda as the sudden loss of the Mind Stone will potentially cause her to faint."
I nodded to the Asgardian King, positioning myself next to Wanda as I opened the case holding the stones. Loki placed the Time and Soul Stones on Amelia's chest. Wanda broke the tesseract, gently manipulated the Aether, the Power stone, and the Space stone to sit next to the Time stone and Soul stone on Amelia's chest. I set the case on the floor and positioned myself behind Wanda. Thor and Loki then back up a step as Wanda breathed in deep before positioning her hand to reach out to grasp Amelia's right hand.
Amelia's voice mentioned aloud, though softly enough to heard only by those close enough to hear her, "Wanda as you touch my hand, the stones should resonate with each other and will cause the mind stone to become physical like Thor said."
"Alright." Wanda nodded with confidence. Though if someone listened hard enough, she had a note of fear in her voice.
Thor, Loki, and I stepped back, though I stayed close enough to catch Wanda. Dr. Strange and the Ancient One put up a barrier with help from Paul in case something went wrong during the revival.
Wanda reached out slowly and grasped Amelia's right hand and wrist. Suddenly Amelia's hand clamped down around Wanda's arm in a death grip, causing all five stones resting on Amelia's chest to flash. Amelia groaned and a dragon appeared, looking down at the stones as it resonated with them. The dragon then looked straight at Wanda, whose eyes went wide in fear. Everyone that were behind the barrier gasped.
The dragon narrowed its eyes as it looked at Wanda, in the eyes for a few seconds before she grimaced in pain and moaned as it did. A glow formed on her body, and it flowed down her arm, through her hand and out her fingers into Amelia. An orange mass started to form and soon it solidified into the mind stone, resting on Amelia's chest. The stone had been remade. The dragon roared and disappeared.
We all looked on in awe at the complete set of Infinity Stones resting on Amelia's chest. But our awe was broken in moments when Wanda moaned weakly in pain, swaying back as she let go of Amelia's right hand, which had loosened. She lost consciousness within moments thereafter. I rushed forward as Wanda lost consciousness, catching her in my arms. I sighed in relief to hear Wanda breathing normally, though she was a tad pale.
A moan caused me to look up though. Amelia moved her hand to her head, groaning out, "Ugh… I haven't had a headache this bad since I watched Thor and Loki as children." She groaned as she slowly sat up on the table, snorting as she grimaced with a hand to her head. Her other hand was holding the Infinity Stones. Thor snorted and Loki smirked and hmphed in annoyance. Opening her eyes, she looked down at me, surprise filling my eyes.
Her eyes were bluer than sapphires and deeper than the ocean itself. Wise and knowing. Piercing even, like she was able to see me down to my very soul. They were old. Ancient. Beyond ancient. They had seen much. Too much… Far too much… Both amazing times and horrible times. She smiled beautifully, "Hello James. Nice to see you again face to face." I smiled, yet our memories of each other came to mind and my smiled faded, a troubled look taking its place. I stood, Wanda still in my arms.
"Can you wake her Amelia?" I gently murmered as I looked down to Wanda, coming close to the woman sitting on the table. Amelia nodded, placing a gentle hand on Wanda's head after she had swung her legs over the table's edge. Amelia had her right hand closed around something. Mumbling something, Amelia then kissed Wanda's forehead.
Wanda moaned quietly, opening her eyes, "What happened?"
"Good morning child," Amelia chuckled as she stood, causing Wanda's eyes to widen as she turned her head to Amelia. I placed Wanda on the ground and held her until she was able to stand on her own. I watched their sweet moment, I wanted to take Amelia in my arms, to apologize, to beg for forgiveness, yet I knew she had already forgiven. I, not noticing that the others had come over to us, turned as I heard rapid footsteps, causing Wanda and Amelia to turn as well.
Natasha rushed forward and took Amelia into a tight hug that looked as if she would crumble if she let go. Amelia sighed in happiness, yet drew the sobbing woman in her arms, comforting her. "Sasha! It's so good to feel you in my arms again. It is alright youngling. I am here. I love you, daughter."
Natasha blubbered, mumbling incoherently as she held onto Amelia, such emotions I had never seen from Nat before. She was usually quite posed even in a secluded setting with Steve, Wanda, and me. I hesitated as did Steve. Never had we seen Natasha act in such a way. We both wanted to join the hug, yet we wanted Natasha to have time. It surprised us to no end when she waved us over, saying, "Come my friends. I've waited long enough to hug you all."
Soon Steve and I joined as a group hug around Nat and Amelia. Memories raced through our minds collectively of us four, causing feelings of all kinds to be felt. Friends from years past until now. Yet it lasted only a few moments before it all settled in peace. I felt a gentle hand on my shoulder, causing me to turn. Wanda smiled, holding out her arms; however, I paused before going into her arms still in my group hug with Nat, Steve, and Amelia.
Thor cleared his throat, "Is there a chance that I can have a moment with the Lady Amelia?" Steve, Natasha who Steve held close, and I pulled back from a smiling Amelia. I stepped aside to Wanda's outstretched arms. Thor came forward and took Amelia's hand, kissing it reverently, "Lady Amelia, nursemaid, friend. It is good to see you again. I…" Loki pressed forward in front of Thor, pulling Amelia into a frantic hug. Thor growled, yet he was ignored and cut off by Loki's words.
"I can't believe you're here. I thought you were dead, Lana!" Loki said as he held her close, calling her by her Asgardian nickname he had given her.
"Loki, my boy, deep breaths. All is well. I am here. Now let up a little so I can give you a proper hug. Besides, I can't breathe with you clinging to me like that." Amelia ordered out with squeaky breaths as he held her off the ground. Loki loosened his arms, letting her hug him. Breathing hard to catch her breath, Amelia turned to Thor, stuttering, "Now what is it you wanted to say Thor my boy?"
Thor frowned, glaring at Loki with a death glare, who hid behind Amelia, before he looked back to her, "It is a pleasure and a great treasure for you to be here again. You do not know how much I have missed you, as well as the people. However, what do you plan on doing with the Infinity Stones?"
Dr. Strange stepped forward, interrupting the little reunion, frowning as he crossed his arms, "Yes Lady Amelia, they can't stay here too long. They'll draw attention from evil forces. I can feel it."
Amelia smiled, shaking her head, "No need to worry, Stephen and Thor. In my hands, they are untraceable and cannot be found so easily. Besides there is something I want to do with them. Watch." Amelia opened her hands, bringing them together to let everyone present, including Wanda and I to see the infinity stones together in all their glory. I never seen all six together like this, all within inches of each other. Touching each other even. The Aether was solid for once as well. No one had seen them all together like this. And to see them all in the hands of one who could hold them all without getting harmed in any way was amazing. Beyond that.
Everyone knew that for most beings, holding even one of them would be seriously life threatening, save for the Soul Stone, Mind Stone, and Time Stone. Even downright fatal. To see Amelia holding all six without any hint of reaction was awe-inspiring and power inducing. Amelia then closed her hands together in a tight clasp, a determined look in her eyes.
She spoke in a beautiful ancient language as she manipulated the stones in her closed hands, a confident look on her face. Light streamed from between the cracks in her hands as she spoke. After several more tense moments, Amelia went silent, smiling wide, and opened her hands, allowing all eyes to peer on a beautiful fist sized, clear, white gemstone that glowed with a swirling rainbow of colors inside of it.
"Behold. The Eternity Gemstone. No one since the beginning of time has seen it. You all here are the first ever to witness it in its entirety," Amelia announced, eyes soft, happy. She looked around seeing shocked looks, perhaps some even took a step back. Though during the moment, she did not see Loki and Thor giving each other a mischievous glance as they approached her quietly from behind as she had been too focused on making the Eternity Gemstone. They were up to something mischievous from the looks of it like when they were kids around her.
Amelia made to walk, yet before she got a step Thor and Loki pounced on her like little children, into a group hug. "What…" Amelia asked, confused, Thor held her from behind and Loki from the front, just below her sternum his head resting on her chest. Just like when they did when they were little, smiles wide, I assumed. They looked like mischievous children. Yet Amelia's confusion soon turned to annoyance on her face, saying in a low tone, "Get off…" Her brows dropped into annoyance and her nose scrunched up, her lips turned down into an irritated frown.
When they did not listen and just held her harder and closer, she growled, shouting, scaring everyone, "Get off you two dunderheads! I can't breathe!" When Thor and Loki hid behind Wanda and I, causing everyone to laugh, Amelia huffed as she ran a hand through her hair, "Just like when they were little. Ah… It brings back good memories. Loki, get my circlet from your room." Though everyone, including myself felt a sense of fear towards Amelia, this powerful being able to control the infinity stones and make them into something else entirely. As well as order around the gods of thunder and mischief.
When he disappeared and reappeared in moments, he handed her a simple, yet elegant circlet. Amelia took it, "Thanks, Loki my boy." She placed the Eternity Stone to the nearly touching metal points, molding it to the vacant space, making the diadem beautiful. Stephen and the Ancient One just looked at Amelia as if she had two heads, unable to comprehend that she had simply made the gem apart of her crown.
She put it on her head and sighed in relief. Turning, she came over to Wanda and I. Touching my check gently, happiness and a love streaming from her eyes, Amelia said, "James, my son, my old friend." She looked to Wanda, "Wanda, child. Thank you." She looked to Thor ordering him, "How about a toast, Thor? Go and tell the staff to bring wine for us to toast to. And let the doors be opened to here for its alright that people walk about now that the Eternity Gem is made, and the Infinity stones have disappeared."
Thor hmphed, "Lady Amelia, you know I am the King of Asgard, I…"
"Thor…" Amelia warned in a slightly lower and slower tone, causing not just Thor, but Loki as well, to pale and to do her bidding, scrambling down the hall and disappearing in moments. Everyone stared at her dumbfounded, as she had just ordered the mighty king of Asgard, god of thunder, and Loki, the god of mischief, to do her bidding. She growled and looked around in annoyance and we all went back to other conversations and away from her. I pulled Wanda close to me as she leaned her head against mine. Steve and Natasha were next to us in a similar stance. Peter, Thalia, Pietro, Clint and family, Pepper, Dr. Strange, Paul, and T'Challa chatted amongst themselves as we all waited for Thor and Loki.
I chuckled nervously as I looked to Amelia, "As their nursemaid when they were younger, you must have been a force to be reckoned if they immediately do your bidding, even as adults. To which I suppose they are still naturally scared of you?" Wanda laughed, agreeing with me.
Amelia chortled, "Yes, beyond the moon they feared me greatly, much more so than of their father. When they did not listen to him, he sent them to me and man, they realized and prayed to the creator to have mercy on them. They were beyond scared of me. They still are as you can tell, obviously. It wasn't just them that were scared of me, their own father was scared to death of me. Many a time would their father do what I suggested because my advice was uncanny. Most here held me in a position of awe, respect, and authority, even more so than their own king.
"Some were fearful, even a few were angered, yet no one dared to make a move against me. Many, if not all, knowing how wise and powerful I am. Many a time Odin came to me for advice on how to manage Asgard. Only their mother, Frigga, had no fear of me and was like a sister to me when I arrived millennia ago. Had it not been for my responsibility to Reslutia and as a Chronicler Dragon, I am sure that the Asgardians would have forced Odin to step down as king and made me ruler instead. But alas, I refused. Even when Frigga and the Asgardian council tried to convince me otherwise to accept." I held Wanda close.
"James, could you put me down? I want to hug Amelia." Wanda asked, I had pulled her into my arms as we talked.
I set her down and she and Amelia hugged like mother and daughter, Natasha joining them. Soon Thor and Loki arrived back with several servants in tow, with wine and glasses on trays, both with a raised brow at Amelia, a hint of fear in their eyes. I supposed she was right that they were still scared of her.
Amelia's POV.
For the rest of the afternoon and evening, I chatted nonchalantly with Wanda, James, Steve, and Natasha, recalling times of old during the second World War for Wanda's sake. Nothing really exciting, just remembering good times. I looked at Natasha and Steve, beyond happy they had gotten together and knowing they were expecting a child. As much as Peggy and Steve liked each other, I could tell Natasha and Steve were better suited. Their personalities and characteristics were far better suited to each other than Steve and Peggie's were. We all had moved to the personal quarters of Sif and Thor, the sitting room big enough to accommodate all of us.
I scanned her with the med scanner I had Paul place in my pocket without her knowledge. Everything was normal, for her pregnancy. I then scanned Wanda and noticed that she was having an increase in her hormonal balance since I last scanned her while she was sleeping. I used my abilities of healing on the human body after millennia of developing to look at Wanda's body and soul.
She was pregnant, though only two weeks into the pregnancy, about three weeks behind Natasha's pregnancy. I had to keep silent until the right time to tell her. I scanned Natasha and figured out that she was going to have a baby boy. I would have to tell her. "Hey Natasha, have I ever told you that I have the ability to see someone's colors and what their bios are? I could tell you the gender of your child." Natasha and Steve both perked up, and I could tell they wanted were silently discussing it.
Steve smirked, "What say you Tasha?" He fingered her shoulder saucily. Natasha smiled back at him seductively, nodding to me. I naturally changed my eyes to my draconic ones, scanning her just for show. I circled around her, effectively causing her to tense up, both of us knowing it was just her former training coming into play. After about a minute, I changed my eyes back, Steve, Nat, James, and Wanda looking at me expectantly.
"I did a thorough scan and I came to the conclusion that you two are having…" Steve and Natasha held their breaths as I paused, before continuing, "A baby boy!"
Steve's smile widened until I thought he would break his handsome face, I chuckled, not noticing Paul right behind me, having slipped into his old habit of appearing out of nowhere when he was possessed, even when we were young. He cleared his throat, causing me to jump. I screamed in fright, out of instinct, "Sebastian osuwari!"
When Paul hit the ground face first, grunting in pain. I huffed, kneeling down to his level, "Paul! I hate it when you do that." The others stared, horrified. Though when Paul growled and lifted his face from the floor, unharmed and twisted in anger. I grimaced as a necklace appeared from around his neck, its light faded as it came into focus.
"Amelia, I don't suppose you could take off these beads of subjugation… I don't know how much longer I can take those sit commands from Titania and you." Paul mentioned as he stood and dusted himself off.
I stood as I shook my head, smirking, "Oh come on I don't say sit that oft…" At that Paul was 'sat' again, "Uff!", causing him to growl louder. I apologized, "Oops! Sorry! I didn't mean that! Honest!" I looked down in horror as did the others.
"Like that makes me feel any better!" Paul growled as he shakily stood and glowered down at me angrily. Just like when we were teenagers…
"But to answer your question, no, Paul. Besides, with the way you simply scared me is the reason I keep them on you… I am curious though, when was the last time that Titania used that word?" I explained with a shaky breath. Paul's face softened despite not hearing the answer he wanted, and he smirked with a single hum.
James rolled his eyes at our interaction, nervously laughing at our interaction, "Hey Ame, maybe he's just trying to keep you on your toes." Wanda, Steve, and Natasha all chuckled as I rolled my eyes back at him. They all know his sense of humor was rare after his time with HYDRA, but he was starting to get it back.
I rolled my eyes, shaking my head, when I heard Wanda timidly ask, "Don't you think Paul had a question?"
Paul smirked, hmphed, "Ah yes, thank you Wanda. To answer your question, Amelia, it was 43 years ago. But that's in the past. Amelia may I please have a hug now. I have waited too long for our reunion."
I sighed, smiling, coming forward, embarrassed. As Paul and I hugged, that bond we had from the years of being betrothed finally solidified again. Both Paul and I felt it. It was a bond that had never gone away even after our betrothal was annulled by Enoch himself. The Angel of the Dragon allowing the betrothment to be broken, understanding of what had happened long ago, though that emotional and mental bond he/she had created remained between us.
Although he and I would never marry we had the bond, which was unique only to us among our race. It was one that went deeper than friendship or a siblinghood, but it was not one of marriage. A bond of companionship that was on par with marriage. We were neither life mates, nor were we married as we had married others, I to Stefan, and he to Titania. But the deepest bond of companionship and love, we had would forever have.
Something that Stefan and Titania both respected, even though they resented it once in a while knowing what we once were and now never were going to be. Both were sympathetic, knowing we had gone through too much together to forget. Ours was a unique bond, never before or ever again would be created with another couple.
Yet Stefan and Titania both knew how lucky they were, knowing they had found a beautiful gemstone in each of us because of what had happened. I laid my head against Paul's chest, feeling that love, that bond we had, my eyes glistening with tears as we held each other. We both knew we were close to tears. Wanda, Steve, James, and Natasha noticed, having respectfully remaining quiet and keeping their distance, all deeply embarrassed to have witnesses something so personal and deep aside from marriage.
Soon Paul and I parted, our bond having been made whole. Stefan and Titania would be happy to see our friendship restored. Though Wanda brought Paul and I back to reality when she hesitantly came forward, asking, "Amelia, I remember you saying you were a dragon, could you show us?"
"Sure, why not. Thor, if I remember correctly, the training grounds are west of the city?" I asked Thor. He nodded with a sigh and lead us all there from his chambers.
Wanda's POV.
Thor led Amelia, James, I, and everyone else to the training grounds. Before she transformed the Ancient One stepped forward, grabbing Amelia's arm and forcing her to stop and turn to her. "How is that the Eternity Gemstone is so harmless as it is Amelia? It's so beautiful, yet so dangerous," the Ancient One asked, reaching out to touch it, yet at the last moment she had her hand pulling back.
Amelia answered, not at all phased with the Ancient One's direct questions, "When all six Infinity Stones are combined and formed into the one Eternity Gemstone, their powers balance each other out, causing peace and harmony to reign in the gemstone and rendering it harmless to anyone if given permission from either myself or my mate, Stefan. It is in that harmony that makes it harmless, and it's also causing the swirling colors that you see." Amelia took off her crown and gently guided the Ancient One's hand to touch the gem. No reaction apart from a slight glimmer before it settled down. The Ancient One gasped yet smiled to know it was safe and stable in Amelia's hands.
Amelia gestured me over, "Wanda come here." I walked over to her. She placed the crown on my head without a so much further ado. I merely felt a flitter of nervousness as it settled on my head. A light glimmered and a quick surge of power went through me, but settled after a moment, as James, Dr. Strange, and the Ancient One stared at me.
Amelia ignored them, "Thor! Loki! Prepare for a training session! I want everyone to pair up! Clint, you and Wanda. Peter, you're paired with Scott. Sam, Pietro. T'Challa, James! Loki, Steve! Thor and I! Stephen, you and Ancient One. Pepper, Natasha, and Thalia, you three can practice lightly together or stay on the sidelines and watch as two of you are pregnant." Amelia commanded. Snapping her fingers, Amelia's armor came to her in an impressive display over the outfit James had gathered for her. She looked like royalty, her sword at her hip. I got ready to par with Clint.
For the next two and a half hours, we trained, switching partners over the course of the training session. Dr. Strange and the Ancient One joined in, still baffled at how I still had the crown with the Eternity Gem still on. I was wondering how I was able to not be harmed by it. I breathed in heavily from the training session with James. He and I trained in perfect synchronization, knowing each other's moves almost as if they happened before we did them because our mental bond. Our session lasted for over twenty minutes before James finally got the better of me because of his super soldier status. Where he lacked on agility in which I exceled, he made up for sheer, brute strength.
When everyone got to the point I was, Amelia decided to change into her dragon form. She breathed in deep, clapping her hands together before spreading them wide as a white flash blinded us all. A deafening roar of a dragon sounded.
I opened my eyes to the massive open jaws of a dragon mere inches from me. I staggered back, yet a clawed hand stopped me. I gasped as a massive white dragon with two sets of large horns on its head stared directly at me with draconic eyes. One set curled down like goats' horns, and the other set bent upwards like a normal dragon's horns. A myriad of smaller horns poked out around her two sets of horns. Around her horns, white hair about three feet long came out. Blinding white, glimmering scales covered Amelia's body.
Two long, thick blades were fitted to her wing claws made for deadly weapons when in flight. Another longer, thicker, pointed blade was mounted to the end of her tail. She had her strong, massive wings folded close to body and it caused her to look smaller than she was. Her large, deep sapphire blue eyes piercing and wise, on her slightly feminine face, if one could call it that.
Amelia reared up and roared deafeningly into the sky as she stretched out her wings before she spewed out a massive column of white fire from her maw, which was more than twice the length of her body. She stood at least sixty feet at her shoulder, with her head at least 100 feet above the ground and her body stretched at least 300 feet long or more. I stared at her as her fire changed to that of shadow fire. Dark blood red flames merging with her shadow, awe flowing through me. James took my hand as he and I could feel the heat from the 200 feet away.
Amelia stared down at us all, smiling as a dragon does. She roared again into the sky before she launched herself into the air. She flew beautifully, naturally, spewing fire. It was like living in a fairy tale, exactly like in Tolkien's works, watching her fly. Flying once around the castle as she changed her breaths, I watched in shock as Amelia breathed out a hex-like breath, one very much like my powers. Her fear breath.
I gasped in surprise, staggering back as James caught me. James was just as shocked, as was everyone else. All of us realizing the same thing. My mouth agape in shock. I cried, holding onto James' metal arm in support. Now I knew exactly where my powers had come from… From Amelia. I entered his mind, asking him for permission first, before saying, The Tesseract which held the Space Stone must have remembered Amelia's powers and in turn, the scepter holding the tesseract also held her memories. That is how Pietro and I gained our powers. We were cut open with the scepter and it bleed into us, giving us our powers. It knew her powers. James pulled me close, taking in that which I finally believed. My powers were beautiful, just like what Amelia had given me.
Amelia landed, transforming back into her human form. She spoke, "I have important business to attend to back on earth, everyone. I will visit when I can, and I will be back with you all a week before the triple wedding. Alright?" I nodded as did everyone else. "Dr. Strange, Ancient One… Paul… Come with me… Although I know you're needed elsewhere, I have need all three of you for some important business. Until later everybody."
"Wait! What about the Eternity Gemstone?!" Thor quickly asked, grabbing her arm gently. Amelia turned back towards all of us before looking up to Thor.
"The gemstone is safe with me. When in my presence, it only listens to my commands. Like earlier when I let Ancient One touch it and allowed Wanda to wear the crown, it recognized them as friends, since all six stones' powers are in sync with each other, causing it to be very stable to one of normal means to hold. But… Only if I willingly give it to a person of specificity. However, if it is taken from me by force without my permission, it will cause the death of that person."
She came over to me and asked for the crown. I gave it willingly. She then shouted, "Dr. Strange! Ancient One! Paul! Come!" Amelia commanded, waving an arm opening a portal. The two wizards and Paul followed Amelia through the portal, disappearing as the portal snapped closed behind them.
I sighed, leaning heavily against James who I could feel was both mentally and physically tired from the training session and all the knowledge we learned today. I was just as tired as he was, perhaps even more so. Aside that, the moment between Paul and Amelia felt like it was a private moment, embarrassing, yet beautiful. Theirs was a bond that was even deeper than that of which James and I shared. It was a bond that only time could create. A friendship that was deeper than almost marriage. He picked me up and our family walked back to the Asgardian palace to partake in evening meal.
I hope you readers like where I am taking this story. If not… You do not have to continue to read it.
Until later and yours truly,
WS. Z.
