Chapter 10 Children

~Ragnar's POV… Vanaheim…~

I walked through the Twilight covered realm, breathing in my believed Twilight air that now conquered the realm of Light. I smiled wickedly as I arrived at the temple with my horde of Twilight beasts and I led the way to the temple's guardian. A large sentient fungus that was guarding the piece of fused shadow. It was benevolent and wise to all who came to hear of his wisdom.

I stepped foot into his sanctuary and as I did, I was met with a ball of poison. The fungus, Fungegre, growled in a weird grunting way as I approached. It spat out more ball of poison at my twilight beasts and myself, many tangles of vines struggling against my overwhelming horde. He failed as I growled out, "Surrender, or you will feel my wrath."

Fungegre growled out in a raspy, quiet voice, "I rather die and resist than to surrender to you."

I hmphed, "Very well." I pulled out a vial of poison and I poured out several drops to the pool Fungegre. The poison spread quickly and caused Fungegre to succumb to my master's evil thoughts, reborn as Fungidio. I laughed maniacally before I left with my horde to the other realms.

~Natasha's POV (four weeks later…) ~

I sat on the couch in Clint and Laura's living room, nursing some horrible morning sickness and a massive headache. It was good to have Amelia back, but I hadn't seen or heard from her or Dr. Strange in about a week. She had brought with her here her husband Stefan, her two daughters-in-law Rin and Kagome, her daughter Zelda, and her son Link. Seems there is a physical connection between her world and ours, located somewhere on a mysteriously island in the Pacific Ocean. It was called the Isle of Worlds.

The island she mentioned only appeared when specific conditions were met at either sunset or sunrise. She explained to me the island could appear and stay indefinitely if she sang a specific song. She did tell me, as did Stefan, that the means which they came here was by a special mirror called the Mirror of Horizons. The mirror itself was housed in an ancient prison on the island. The only one to be able to truly shatter it if it was ever broken was the keeper of Reslutia.

I would have gone, but Amelia and Steve gave strict objections and along with Stefan, who I considered my father, ordered me to sit back and take care of myself and the baby. I was even taken off the missions' list because of the baby, something I would have to be forced to get used to. I had put up a massive fight for that, but ultimately, I was forcibly taken away from Stark Tower and taken off the list of missions. I sat on the couch in Clint's living room, hand on my stomach. It had grown slightly due to the baby. It felt strange, yet normal all at the same time to have a child growing inside me. I never thought I would see this day. Sif had to make some alterations to my dress to accommodate my growing body.

The morning sickness was annoying though. Even the weird cravings and the foods I liked and/or disliked now caused Steve annoyance beyond belief, but his love never died for me in the slightest. In fact, if by improbable means, his love for me increased. Pepper had the same issue as well, Tony, both at his wit's end and being overprotective and loving.

Fortunately, I was able to still work behind the scenes, Tony and Avengers' headquarters allowing me to take over some major roles such as doling out missions and important tasks remotely without having to do anything overly taxing. Under the identity that Amelia and Stefan provided for me, Alexandra Lebedev.

I sighed, happy. I thought of all the happiness over the last four weeks. Steve, Bucky, Wanda, Peter, Thalia, Pietro, Scott, Sam, and I crashed at Clint's place, Laura gladly opening their home to us all to let the dust settle as the legal issues behind our standings here in the United States were being dealt with by Amelia herself and Tony.

Bucky and Tony had time to talk long and hard and both had come to a semi-stable understanding regarding their strained relationship and their past. Though if friendship was what they were seeking, it would be a long time before they'd call themselves that. They were colleagues, but no longer were they enemies. But there was still much to talk about, both having become busy with life and missions, preventing them from talking further on the subject of their relationship.

Shuri had stayed in Wakanda to help with ruling her country, causing much strife between her and Pietro, though they were Skyping or Zooming to keep in contact to date. They had finally admitted their feelings and T'Challa approved him to let him court his sister in true Wakanda style.

Scott had gotten in contact with his wife and daughter and he was speaking with them, trying to explain why he wasn't home. At the present, he and Sam were off doing a small mission incognito as Avengers. The rest of us were laying low here in the countryside as we waited for the wedding in a week. Peter and Thalia were readily accepted into the Barton family tribe and Laura gladly accepted the challenge to homeschool her own children with the addition of Thalia, Peter, Pietro, and Wanda. The latter two were schooled to allow college entry.

Lila gladly gave up her room to Wanda and James, Cooper to Steve and me, as they crammed into their little brother's room. Peter and Thalia were given the pullout couch in the four-season porch and Sam and Scott were given the trailer Clint and Laura had bought and had kept up. It was like a big family reunion, and I felt so loved here.

Stefan had set up a rather large tent for his three daughters Zelda, Rin, Kagome (he called Rin and Kagome daughters despite them being his daughters-in-laws), and his son, Link. Stefan and Amelia had all but adopted me and included me in their family, both even going as far as calling me beloved daughter while their children called me sister. It was something I had yet to get used to, knowing I truly had a real family again aside from the Avengers. I felt loved and accepted.

I rested on the couch as I was still feeling the nauseating effects of morning sickness. Steve, with Lila going with him, had gone out to the store to get some medicine to help with the nausea. Lila and Steve had taken a shine to each other like a father/daughter or an uncle/niece duo when they had first met years ago.

I did my best to keep my mind off the nausea as Laura had Pietro, Peter, and Thalia doing chores around the farm. Clint was outside chopping wood, having Loki with Pietro and Peter to go put the hay in the barn for the horses. Though with having a pulled hamstring after a recent completion of a mission, he was slow at restocking the wood for the fireplace and the fire ring outside. Cooper was off with some friends in town as Laura was off making dinner for everyone and Thalia was dusting the house as Nathaniel was taking his afternoon nap.

Hmmm… Worrying news from Thor. Seems the situation with the shadows was as bad as ever as of last night. I thought to the news he had mentioned last night at dinner. It must be bad if he and the Asgardians are having trouble figuring out where the shadows are coming from. l wondered, as I thought back to the news he had brought.

The shadows had grown in number and congregated around the Bifrost and the Desert of Ruin, a desert eleven leagues east of the capital city of Asgard. It was worrying Thor, Sif, and the council to no end and the scouts from Alfheim, Svargelfheim, Vanaheim, and Muspelheim had gone MIA, being the gateways to those realms were unable to be opened, even by Heimdall.

Trying to get my mind off of Thor's situation with the shadows, I thought… I wonder how James' and Wanda's ride is going. They've been gone for about four hours now. Lila and Clint had taught them over the course of few weeks how to ride. I sighed as the nausea had gone down some, even as the headache remained. Laura came in to the living room asking, gently touching my shoulder, "Hey Nat, how you feeling?"

"The nausea and my headache are still there Laura. Do you know of anything else that could help?" I asked her, looking up to meet her eyes.

Laura thought for a moment, "Yes, sage tea with some anise and honey will take away the most of it. Hold on. Let me brew it up for you dear."

"Thanks Laura." I thanked her.

She smiled, patting my shoulder, "No problem, Nat. I remember when I was pregnant with each of my children that I had the same issue, and that brew held the touch. Say no more. I'll be right back." She disappeared into the kitchen, and the sounds reached me ears of her getting the kettle ready to boil water.

I closed my eyes again and breathed, listening to the noises around me. I heard the back door open and close gently, but I didn't open my eyes to see who it was. I heard that someone sigh deeply in relief, before they came over and sat on the couch right next to me just as gently. Amelia's voice huffed out quietly, drifting to my ears gently, "Ugh… what a mess to clean up in the underworld and the government." She must have noticed my uncomfortableness.

"All not well Amelia?" I asked, still not opening my eyes. Though I was elated to know she was back. I moved to rest my head on her shoulder, to which she took my hand and patted it, leaning her head on mine.

"Now it is all well, Nat. But the last four weeks have been horrendous trying to clean up the mess I was forced to leave behind years ago. Back then it wasn't so bad, but now it was much worse. It took my people, as small as that group was four weeks ago, and I almost around the clock work to clean up everything. To get rid of people that needed to be fired or killed, and then to hire new people of good moral standing. To clear you all of your 'crimes' that you committed. We took another three days to get that information clear to the media.

"Those corrupted in my companies and the underworld took me at least a solid two of those weeks to remove. That took around the clock work to do so. It was not fun at all. But most of them are now… how should I say this… gone… for good. Most people in the organization know me as the Reaper."

I interrupted her, "Who kept up your name and façade? And how did they know it was you?"

"My cousin Solomon has come over from my world several times to meet with Paul, Titania, and I years ago. He was able to keep up the façade that I never left, just the look that I was undercover elsewhere in the world when I was forced back to my world in 1969. With my return, many people had a hard time believing it was me for the first few days, but I was able to get the people under control and… fearful.

"As I said the corrupted people were adamant that I wasn't who I said I was, but after they all saw the Reflection Gem's reaction, many of them paled and tried to rebel. They are now… gone." She paused. I could hear the pain of ending people's lives, even the lives of evil people. She was tense, her breathing shaky with anxiety over doing necessary evils. Her tone was slow, hesitant, and she hummed in thought.

"Good people have been hired and the system has been worked through. There are still quite a few kinks to be worked out, but for the most part everything is now running smoothly again. I guess the biggest issue that caused all the problems was Ross. He caused all the issues or at least, most of them. Another thing is that he caused all the corruption to seep into my underground company. He's now… shall I say… gone… along with his conspirators…" Amelia condensed. She was shaking, slightly clammy, and her voice tired.

She continued, pensive and weak, and I dared to say, only to myself in my mind, her tone and demeanor were muted and worried. "It doesn't help that the shadows in Asgard are causing trouble either. We are going to have troubling times ahead of us Natasha. And soon unfortunately."

I realized Amelia had much more power here that HYDRA or the KGB ever had. More powerful than even S.H.I.E.L.D. To get rid of people worse than them and get away with it without consequence in such a short time was… frightening. Beyond that. She wasn't a force to be reckoned with. Ever. She was terrifying. Death Incarnate. I opened my eyes to look up at Amelia, warily. She wore travel clothes, like she had traveled by horse. She looked quite weary, rather dirty, "You alright, Ame?" I dared not ask her about Asgard and about Josiah and Reila.

"Not really, Nat. I am rather confounded by some of the issues I had to deal with. Besides that, I am exhausted mentally and physically. I didn't get to create or recreate my regenerancy bed. But enough of that," She waved a hand, dismissing my question. She looked to me with weary eyes, tired body, and shaky body, "Nauseated?"

I looked at her, she did seem exhausted as she said. Though I dared not push her the details. She never was one to tell me more than what I needed to hear, and this time I let it go. Especially now with the threat of Josiah going insane. I guess I got that from her, but that was beside the point, I was not at all surprised she knew I felt morning sickness, "Yes. It's been there since this morning. Steve has gone out with Lila to the store to get me some medication for it. And Laura is making me some tea. Changing subjects though… Have you seen Loki? I thought he'd be around to help everyone. Though I haven't seen him since yesterday evening."

Amelia smirked, sighing as she leaned against the couch again, "I saw him in the barn with Pietro and Peter. They're all working on getting the hay in the barn for the winter. He's been quite the help here on the farm as Wanda's servant. He seems much more carefree and unburdened as of late because of Wanda's forgiveness. Besides he's waiting for James and Wanda to get back from their ride since Wanda is riding Sleipnir."

"That's surprising. I thought Sleipnir didn't let anyone ride him aside from Loki. I do remember Thor mentioning something about Sleipnir being Loki's offspring in a very weird way." I stated, still confused about the whole situation.

Amelia laughed humorlessly, leaning her head against the back of the couch, "Sleipnir took a big shine to Wanda. He seems to like her a lot, as if he wants to dote on her. As for being Loki's offspring, don't go asking either of the brothers about his origins. Neither one will tell you the tale and it's rather embarrassing for both. To give you the short version, Loki literally shapeshifted into a mare years ago and he seduced Thor's stallion steed. He is technically Sleipnir's mother, which I had given him much grief over and I still am."

"Forget I asked." I mentioned, frowning as I was rather taken aback and embarrassed at the news. Laura then came into the living room with a mug.

"Oh Amelia! You're back! Good! I thought I heard you speaking. Here's your tea, Tasha," Laura exclaimed as she handed me the tea. I thanked her before I began sipping at it.

Amelia sighed, shaking her head, "Hey Laura! Yeah, it's good to be back. How's everyone doing around here?"

Laura smiled, came around the couch to give Amelia a hug who returned it, "Good, for the most part. Nathaniel is under the weather, though he is getting better. Clint has a pulled hamstring. Could you look at it later, Amelia?"

She leaned her head back, closing her eyes, nodding, "Sure I will." Laura nodded, frowning in concern as she noted Amelia's weariness, thanking her before she excused herself back to the kitchen. Amelia then asked without opening her eyes, "Where's Steve? Shouldn't he be here helping you to get well?"

"Like I said earlier, he's at the store with Lila getting groceries and medicine for me. So… Technically he is helping. Just not here now. Also, Laura made me some tea to help. Amelia, you need rest yourself, you look like you're going to drop." I explained relaxing back, holding up the tea, the nausea going away as I sipped at it.

Amelia hmphed again before getting up off the couch stiffly, waving a slow hand in dismissal, "I'll be fine for now. I am just exhausted from all the work I had to complete. Hmmm… I have a suggestion, once I clean up, I'll be right back to help you rid you of your nausea aside from the tea." I smiled halfheartedly at Amelia's dismissal, nodding. I suppose she was as stubborn as a mule being so old. It had rubbed off on me during our time together…

Amelia stiffly, and with jerky steps, disappeared into the kitchen, speaking some words to Laura before she went upstairs to shower. I closed my eyes again to relax, as I heard the upstairs shower start. After another twenty minutes of rest, I heard voices come close to the back door. Wanda and James. They had returned from their ride.

I listened as they came inside the door, chatting about their ride as James said to Wanda, "Doll, you looked adorable when Pietro tricked you and pushed you into the lake. Not just adorable, but beautiful. You looked like a mermaid of legend with your flaming locks of reddish auburn and eyes of emerald green. If only you were undressed, you would then look the part." I laughed as I heard a palm hitting flesh as I smiled at the insinuation.

Wanda's voice, filled with embarrassment and bubbly laughter, sounded, "Behave soldier! Besides as tempting as skinny-dipping with you sounds, I wouldn't risk having Lila, Cooper, or Nathaniel seeing anything they don't need to see at their tender ages." The door opened and closed as the two came inside.

I opened my eyes laughing slightly, looking over to the pair, "Sounds tantalizing, dynamic duo. I suggest you do it late this evening. Nathaniel is put down to sleep by 8:30, Cooper is away for a sleepover, and Lila goes to bed by 10pm." I smiled when James smirked, who sported a red handprint on his check, and Wanda stuttered, blushing. They put down their bundles and dusted off.

Soon Amelia came in dressed in a leather half tank top and a leather wrap skirt that went around her waist and then dropped to the floor. Her calves were visible, and they had scars on them. Her white hair was still rather damp, and it went down to past her hip, still thick as ever. She sat down next to me, passing a large tooth comb through her hair. "Hey James, Wanda, how was you two doing?"

Wanda and James both smiled at Amelia, coming to sit down wearily across from Amelia and I. "Good. Though I will eventually have to go take a shower. Pietro pushed me into the lake again this morning." Wanda pouted, crossing her arms. James chuckled, pulling her close to kiss her, and to cuddle her. I giggled.

Amelia giggled as well, "Well, the water's still hot and the shower is open. How about you take one now? I have news, once you get back." James, Wanda, and I perked up at her announcement.

"Really? What news? Tell us now. Wanda's shower can wait." James insisted, as he straightened and leaned forward, eager to hear.

Amelia huffed, though she conceded to his question. "Children, such children you are… Very well… It's about your status as 'criminals' or rather the Accords. You all have been judged and you all have been pardoned of all supposed crimes by the president himself, the senate, and the supreme court. They found no evidence of wrongdoing, finding all of you innocent. The accords have been repealed and thrown.

"Not only that, I got in contact with the leaders from most countries regarding the same issues. All have pardoned you, and you all are free to walk, all your records cleared. Every single one of you are free to do as you please. I also had time to look and take care of your case, James. All the charges against you from when you were the Winter Soldier have been dropped and erased." Amelia announced, a wide smile on her face as she spoke.

Wanda gaped at Amelia; James sighed in relief as he leaned back in awe. I simply smiled, knowing Amelia must have had a hand in it all. A heavy hand. With the kind of power that she possessed. Wanda stood, all peppy, "I'm going to clean up and go help Laura prepare a feast to celebrate. Be right back!"

However, she barely got three steps before she started to feel quite dizzy. She stuttered, "Ja… James… I… I think… I am going… to fai…" Her eyes had turned glassy, and she wobbled on her feet.

Wanda's POV.

I barely got three steps as I started feeling dizzy, my vision blurring. I remember it feeling warm out on the ride and not having enough water to drink. I also felt a tad dizzy towards the end of the ride. I didn't know if it was because of the heat or my powers warning me of something, but it scared me. My vision blurred further, blackness at the edges, dots speckling my sight. I stuttered out weakly, "Ja… James… I… I think… I am going… to fai…" I didn't finish my sentence as darkness took me.

Amelia's POV.

I frowned on my feet in an instant as Wanda wobbled before she spoke, "Ja… James… I… I think… I am going… to fai…"

Natasha and I watched in horror and fear as James, who was frantic, scrambled forward, catching Wanda as she fainted. He shouted, "WANDA!"

I scrambled over to the frantic James and touched Wanda's head. Normal. Natasha stood shakily, at a loss of what to do, her eyes screaming helplessness. Panicking, James held Wanda close, unable to process at what to do. I growled deep in my chest, a dragon's growl, and slapped him, effectively getting his attention on me. "James! Pull yourself together." I ordered in my commanding voice.

He looked at me with panicked, helpless eyes, as if lost and asking me what to do. I growled out an order, "Go to your room with Wanda and undress her. She may be overheated or dehydrated. Nat, go get a glass of water and bring it to him. I will be right up to meet you and do a scan of her." I looked up as Laura rushed into the room with a bow ready Clint.

"What's wrong?!" Clint shouted, his face hardened and battle ready. When he saw James holding an unconscious Wanda as he quickly made his way to the stairs, concern came immediately to his face as he shouted again, a death-like threat behind his voice, "What happened?!" He put down his bow, placing the arrow back into his quiver.

James disappeared with Wanda upstairs as Natasha, as quickly as she could with a nauseated stomach, went to the kitchen for the water. I held up my hands to calm down the tense couple, "Clint, Laura, Wanda fainted. We're not sure why, but I will go up and scan her with my scanner and my healing powers. I, as a dragon, am a healer and you couldn't get a better doctor around. But I am not sure if it was the heat, dehydration, or some other factor."

Clint interrupted, fear and worry etched in his voice and on his face, his body tense, "Does that mean there may be enemies around to harm her or us all?" Laura touched his arm, sliding closer to him, a flash of fear in her eyes at his mention.

"I mightily doubt it as it's highly improbable if not downright impossible, but I wouldn't rule it out. Even though the supposed crimes you all were under have been cleared from your records, I wouldn't doubt there may be someone out wanting to harm you all. We need to be on heavy guard until I find the reason for Wanda fainting. Laura, go get MJ and Nathaniel and go hide in the back room. Clint, have Pietro take a reconnaissance run around the property and surrounding countryside and have Loki and Peter stay on patrol with you around the house. If Steve gets back with Lila while I'm up with Wanda, have Lila join Laura and Steve join you, Loki, and Peter on guard outside. We cannot have an ambush happen. I'll mind speak with Stefan, Rin, Kagome, Zelda, and Link as I go up." I ordered, my commanding side coming out as I slowly walked to the stairs.

Laura disappeared in moments. Clint frowned, hesitated. I noticed and paused, "Yes, Clint?"

"With your abilities, Amelia, did you find anyone out there? Even with the Eternity Gem?" Clint asked.

I hummed, looking away to glance outside, worry etching my voice, "Unfortunately, I wasn't able to feel anyone or anything around the area at all within 15 miles of here. Granted Paul and Titania with their girls and staff are about 9 miles from here at their ranch, no one else is to be found. I even did quick scan out 30 miles, no one was out there. Threatening or not. Only wildlife throughout and typical hikers at the edge. Which worries me. Clint, I need you to be my eyes and be my look out on the roof. Are you willing to do that? For me?" I turned to him again and asked the archer; a pleading look on my face as I signed it out for him.

Clint nodded without hesitation, "Yes, whatever for you and Wanda!" He raced outside to do my bidding.

I rushed upstairs, stopping at the bathroom first, before heading down the hall to find Natasha outside James' and Wanda's room. She seemed so pathetically small and worried for an ex-assassin. She sat on the floor, eyes closed, and I could tell her nausea and headache were still there. I gently touched her shoulder, causing her to wince and flinch from the touch, but she placed her hand on my hand, telling me she didn't mean it. I closed my eyes and healed her. I opened my eyes, saying, "Sorry about that Nat, my dear. I will go exam Wanda myself. I am better than any doctor out there, Nat. As you know, I have the ability to heal and exam." Natasha nodded.

"Do you have any other means to scan her to make sure she's fine? James was out of his mind when I came with the water." Natasha asked as she stood.

I nodded, "I have highly advanced technological instruments here in my bag to help. They're beyond advanced for this time period and should help. Plus, if need be, I'll have to have you wait outside the door with him so I can do a more in depth physical." I motioned to my bag.

"Thank you for healing my stomach. It was bad, despite the tea." Nat thanked me, nodding.

I nodded, before I opened the door to see James talking with a now conscious Wanda. Natasha and I were relieved to see her awake. She was sat up against the head board, supported by pillows and covered in a thick blanket. I could tell James was calmer, yet he still seemed very anxious and tense at Wanda's unexpected fainting spell. He turned to look at me in question and fear, wanting me to help in some way.

Though I could tell the threat he was sending me silently. If I didn't and/or couldn't help her, he'd hurt me. He could and would try, but even without the Eternity Gem, I could overpower him easily. But without access or the ability to have generated a star gem or refill the metaphysical diamonds I had lined my bones with, it would take a little more effort.

I felt like I was an anthroxil again. Weak and tired. I felt human again, though if God wanted me human or as an anthrozil again, I would obey. I would have to go rest later though. I approached the bed slowly, smiling, "Wanda, it's good to see you awake. James, I need to speak with her alone. Please if you would, go join Natasha in the corner of the room."

"I will not leave her! Last time I left her with a doctor or healer, she was harmed rather badly without me there!" James shouted as he stood, growling as he twisted his arm to prepare it to fight. Referring to two weeks prior during a mission, while a doctor had looked Wanda over a nasty laceration from a bank robber, a drunk appeared and he had attacked the doctor and in turn Wanda without any reason. It turned out the drunkard had thought she was an enemy in a hallucination he was having when the bank bomb had gone off. She had gained a second new, deep laceration, which was still healing.

Wanda looked up to James, knowing he would harm Amelia if anything happened, but she knew I had to speak with her alone. "James, she's not closing the door on you, nor am I going to get harmed with her here. If anything, I feel like if I was left alone with her in a dangerous situation, she'd get me out without a scratch on me. She may well just figure out what's wrong with me." She suggested to him, placing a soothing hand on his left arm to calm him down. She squeezed his hand, her way of telling him, she loved him and that it was going to be alright.

"Yes, James. I am the best there is in this world. That aside, we have no others right now to help Wanda. Plus, I can't work with your tense nervous presence hovering over my shoulder, which may aggravate her condition, causing me to unable to find the cause. Go." I ordered, frowning, playing the 'I cannot work well under duress' card, while playing his heart strings to agree with Wanda. I remained calm, a mask on my face, never showing my emotions. James twisted his arm again, turning its weapon status off, but he still didn't move as he glared at me with a sneer.

"Go James, I am in good hands. Do not worry my love, she has everything in control." Wanda reassured him, smiling up at him.

James, quite reluctant, leaned down and kissed Wanda deeply before he joined Natasha in the corner near the door. They started talking in low voices as I turned to Wanda. Though for extra caution I put up an invisible sound barrier, giving them enough sound to tell we were talking. I smiled at her as I sat on edge of the bed with her, setting my bag on the ground near my feet. "Wanda, my dear one, I am glad to see that you're quite awake after fainting. Tell me, how do you feel right now?"

Wanda smiled, in thought for a moment, before saying, "Still a tad tired. But I'm awake." She held still as I felt her throat, and forehead again. Still normal.

"What did you feel like before you fainted, dear?" I probed, digging through my bag to find my scanner as I listened.

Wanda bit her lip, watching me, eyes wide and brows raised, "Well… I did feel slightly lightheaded when I was sitting down. When I stood, it did get a tad worse. I did feel a bit overheated from the ride. And as you know, it's quite warm today. Perhaps it's just the heat and the ride, and we hadn't brought much to drink with us. Also, I didn't get that much sleep last night."

"That may very well be, Wanda, heat could cause one to faint. However, it would only be because of dehydration, which probably isn't the case with you. Anyway… How has sleep been for you the last few weeks?" I asked, finally pulling out the scanner and I turned it on.

When she turned beet red, embarrassed as she looked away, I smiled, chuckling as I knew what she was thinking without having to read her thoughts, "That's pretty normal when two people admit their feelings and are on the marriage path Wanda. So, I assume you have been quite amorous?"

When she ducked her head, I giggled further, cupping her check, bringing her eyes back to mine, "Nothing to be embarrassed about. I remember when Stefan and I married, we were quite the amorous couple, much more than you two. I remember on our two-week honeymoon; we were so amorous at the beginning, that we didn't realize it had been three days once we arrived at the regenerancy chamber. And we still are quite the amorous duo. Heck! I remember there would be many times where we would abandon whatever activity we were going to go at it somewhere private."

I smiled, giggling, remembering our couplings whether it be in human form or dragon form, making Wanda much less embarrassed. But it did get me thinking on different lines. I pressed several buttons on my scanner and scanned her head to toe, seeing even more increased hormones levels since we were in Asgard last, raising a brow slightly, particularly in her womb. Her unborn children had grown since Asgard.

"Have you had any nausea? Particularly in the mornings?" I asked as I turned the scanner off. If Wanda noticed my brow raising, she didn't give an indication of it.

Frowning, Wanda nodded, "Yes, a bit." She remembered that the eggs and bacon that James regularly made for her were now off putting, the smell now gross to her, the mornings bringing nausea. She thought back the last few weeks, almost forgetting she was undressed under the blanket, quickly grabbing the blanket before it slid down and exposing her chest.

I thought for a moment, closing my eyes before opening them again. Wanda blinked, startled at my eyes becoming reptilian in nature. She asked, "What are you doing Amelia?"

I smiled, trying to put her at ease, "I am going to scan you with my healing abilities via my eyes, just making sure your bios are normal. Have you been eating normal lately?"

"Oh… alright." She nodded. She thought for a moment. She remembered that there were other things she now didn't like and other weird things that she was starting to like. "For the most part, I have been eating normally. Though I have started to crave a weird thing or two, and other things I normally eat have started to be off putting."

I smiled, asking the question that was would be the clincher, "Could you by chance tell me when you had your period this last time Wanda?" I blinked and my eyes went back to normal.

Wanda opened her mouth, "It was…" Then with realization, her mouth went slack in surprise, realizing the problem with the question, her eyes going wide. She was regular every month for the most part since she had come of age years ago. Once or twice, she had missed them, but she remembered that those times were because of the torture sessions that went on while she was in captivity with HYDRA and the Raft. So, to realize her period was already two weeks late, "It was six weeks ago…" She said quietly.
