It wasn't really a big surprise at all that it was only a few months after the wedding. Once everything had settled down. It was Pepa's turn to be asked for her hand in marriage.
It happened in a very similar manner but at their family Christmas dinner. Like Agustin, Felix was down on one knee and Pepa just screamed as she flung herself right at Felix while everyone smiled and congratulated them before finally bringing out a bottle of their finest rum and the valuable crystal glasses to celebrate Christmas and the new engagement.
With Agustin playing the piano it was up to the rest to sing and then after a couple of glasses, Felix actually started to cry as he poured out his heart.
Telling about how it had been to grow up in an orphanage in the middle of a very smelly big city he hated. And then as he had traveled around Columbia just to get away from that place. But he had never really had a home.
Bruno was touched. It was obvious that Felix meant every single word he said. And as he loudly called Agustin and Bruno his Hermano's in a drunken voice people chuckled amused.
"Christmas dinner is something you are supposed to have with your family. You know?" Felix commented still just as drunk. "And man... My first year here. And you just invited me? I just..." He gasped. "PEPA! Let's get married before next Christmas!" Felix asked as he grabbed her hand and swung her around to grab her again.
Pepa shook her head. "You're drunk," she stated the obvious.
"Arh it's Christmas." Felix waved his hands put made sure that Pepa was standing up again.
Bruno smirked as he sat on the armrest of the couch observing the spectacle while Julieta was sitting next to him on the actual couch.
"So how bad of a hangover you think he's going to get tomorrow?" Bruno asked in a whisper as he took a sip of his own rum.
"As if you're one to talk," Julita smirked.
"It helps me relax!" Bruno defended himself. "And that's really nice," he stated this time taking a very healthy swig of his strong drink.
"Not too nice I hope," Julieta smirked.
"HEY!" Bruno exclaimed as he stood up holding a hand in the air. "As the great Jose Donoso would say!" and he changed his voice. "I don't have a drinking problem. Except for when I get a drink."
And Felix burst out laughing. "Your talents are wasted Hermano. You should have been an actor!" he stated.
"That would have been great." Bruno sighed wistfully.
"You should perform with us at the tavern." Felix then continued. "You're a funny guy! But we only ever see it when we are here at Casita."
"I can only be myself when I am here at Casita," Bruno replied evenly. "Arh Sorry. Forget I said any of that." he grimaced. "Congrats Felix! You got lucky. My sister is way too good for you. But don't tell her I said that."
"Bruno!" Pepa gasped as she was standing right there next to them.
Bruno flashed a grin at her. "It's true Hermana!" he stated. "But… That may just be because there isn't any man who would be good enough. So I guess you have to settle for him." he stated as he pointed at Felix who laughed loudly while Bruno emptied out his glass.
"I think you had enough now Hermano," Julieta said removing the glass from Bruno's hand and Bruno pouted annoyed.
Felix shrugged. "Always listen to the ladies," he said. "They are usually right."
"Alcohol." Bruno sighed. "It's the solution and cause of all of our problems."
And Felix laughed into his hand.
