Holey . damn.

Firstly, thank you to those who said the last chapter was fun! I hope you enjoyed the break because I am now here to bring you the heavy. Warning, it's kinda disturbing... I'm sat thinking- "Too far?". Um. maybe. but then-

So, you that part in the show where Raven has "the prophecy" ... and "you're going to destroy the world, Raven. it's written all over your face!" (totally haven't watched it too many time. plus she walked to her death!) yeah. just keep that in mind. Enjoy the darkness...

In the white room, the girl in chains sat patiently. She had sat like this for over 15 years, a day and a half more was nothing to her. It was quiet, like it always was. The pristine white walls, floor and ceiling had the same veins running through them that she had followed with her eyes and seen pictures in countless times. Her life was in this temple, with her thoughts, and those of her fragmented soul.

It is for the greater good. She was told. What you are cannot leave Azarath.

However, something under her sun deprived skin longed to come out- to break free and soar, but chains of silver bound it to her mortal body. The threads embroidered into her gown and the jewellery that adorned her fragile body held a magic that suppressed her own. Precautions, great and small, were taken to keep her here. Outside was supposed to be an unknown land.

"Hello"

Her voice was small and wavering. She looked up at the large, black bird that sat on the high window ledge. It swooped down, it's talons scuffing the tiles as it hopped towards her. In its beak was a stone, that it dropped in front of the girl.

"{Thank you.}"

It wasn't a pretty stone, more like a dry, solid lump of dirt. Non the less, in return, she produced crumbs of bread from the palm of her hand and scattered them on the floor.

"{Tomorrow will be our last day. Please understand that I cannot take you with me.}"

She held out her hand, stroking the bird when it came within reach.

"{I must confess, I do not fully understand what is happening, myself. There are a great of uncertainties, but something within me knows that my place is not on Azarath.}"

She turned her on her pillow to face the windows. The light shone in, but they were too high to see out of. The bird cawed, stretching its wings.

"{It believe it is exciting to think about the prospect of a new life. I have been in contact with the people I will meet. There names are Victor, Garfield, Richard and Koriand'r. I am not sure how I know, since we have never introduced ourselves, but some how the past has a way of knowing our future.}"

Her sleeve gown had moved, exposing her forearm and left leg. She ran a finger over the white scars, feeling their rise and smoothness.

"{Still, I do suspect there is a part of me that is concerned about all of this. A part of me that thinks we should stay here. But, I am going to ignore that part of me. }"

She moved her clothes so they covered her again. From birth the girl had told what her future held, and the people of Azarath had done everything they could think of to try and prevent it. She tried to forget about it, but to no avail.

The warning of her unspeakable destiny was written on her skin, by her own hand, with bloodshed.

why did it take so long to get an actual chapter with Raven? Cause I was contemplating how best to do the scars. "Why do you want to make everyone so damaged?" There is a reason for all this. I got fed up of Azarath, with their- lets get rid of all of our 'bad' emotions", being just ... not quite developed. it is really hard to explain the roll of azarath in the comics. there is a cute song by kawaii af called "she came from azarath". go check it out.
