ROAR
The deep, bellowing sound resonated around the long halls. Primal and animalistic, it juxtaposed the synthetic environment, causing an air of uncertainty.
The origin was Garfield's room, but who would dare to open the door?
Several nursing staff backed away, fearful of what could happen.
"Someone call for Doctor Caulder!"
"Is Richard Grayson still here?"
The calls for help spread, until one of people in question turned up.
Dick peeked through the small window and locked eyes on a green lion. A smirk formed on his face as he watched the big cat puff out it's chest and hold his head high. Then it walked back and forth before taking on a new pose, this time holding up a front paw and looking off to the side. Regrettably, Dick knocked on the door and interrupted the peculiar sight.
"Hay, buddy."
The lion chuffed, bashing its head into its friends chest.
"So. I think you need to apologise..."
His face dropped, and the garbled cat noises almost sounded like 'oh fuck'
Slowly the fur began morphing away into human skin. Gar shook his head before letting out a deep sigh and pursing his lip in thought.
"Yeah, you kinda freaked out a lot of people out there..."
"Fuuuuuuuck. I know..." Craig, you're supposed to be Garfield..."- I mean- um...Urg." Good job. You nailed it. Dick won't suspect a thing.
Gar flopped onto the bed, burying his face in his hands, the mattress jerking as Dick sat beside him.
"Why am I so broken?!"
"Gee, I wonder. Maybe it's because you always run into danger?"
"Oh, haha."
Dick dropped Gar's trousers on his head before standing up. "But still, it never stops you... You're gonna try again, aren't you. To see Rachel, I mean."
Obviously! I can't describe it, but, it's like I'm being pulled to her! "Yeah... If I can make it past the door..." But first, I need to apologise for freaking everyone out.
I'm still here. I just had to get a job and adult and all that. T.T so writing just became the least important thing...
