Hello everybody and welcome back to "To Eternity, My Witch." I know I am posting like a mad woman these days. This story is close to the end, it will probably have anywhere between four to seven chapters left of this story to tie up loose ends. Maybe it will last another ten chapters at most. Though within the last few chapters of this story, both Wanda and Natasha still need to have their children so that will bring it longer.

Onwards to this chapter.

I DO NOT Own any of these as they are and were created by their respective creators. Marvel is owned by the late Stan Lee via Disney. Phantom of the Opera (PotO) is owned by Andrew Llyod Weber. LofZ : TP and OofT by Shigeru Miyamoto. Fire Emblem by Shouzou Kaga. Black Butler by Yana Toboso. And finally, Inuyasha by Rumiko Takahashi.

Chapter 38 Libran Sleep

~Meanwhile in the city of Asgard… James' POV…~

I carried Amelia up the stairwell to her and Stefan's chambers. She leaned into me heavily, eyes closed, winching in pain occasionally. Wanda was close behind. I felt relieved and beyond grateful for everything. Ganon was dead, Wanda was alive and free from her curse, and Amelia was alive. I looked down to her, her eyes close, she was skinny… too skinny now on the verge of being skeletal. And she was pale as death.

The chains still on her, and as heavy as hell. They were negating the weigh she had lost and even weighed heavily on top of that and then weighed some. And they were noisy and clanky. How the hell do we get them off? No key holes or hinges. How can she stand having them on still? I wondered, worried, as I paused to allow Wanda to open the doors to the room. Inside, the rooms looked very much like Thor and Sif's royal chambers.

I quickly headed over to the bed and made to put Amelia on it and move away, but she clung to me. She opened her eyes suddenly, looking up at me, pleading, fear therein, "Please, hold me. I rather not be alone… I…" She let a tear roll down her check, her eyes closed, "I am scared… terrified… to be alone." I couldn't refuse, especially after her treatment from our son. My foolish, bastard son.

Wanda looked at Amelia with worry, she suggested, "Amelia, wouldn't it be better if James's armor came off beforehand?"

Amelia nodded reluctantly, Wanda came over and took my place on the bed, cuddling with Amelia like a daughter with a mother. It was more like clinging. Amelia had suffered being alone too long and wanted contact. It proved even ancient dragons like her needed social interaction and contact just as much as the normal person. It made her that much more human and approachable. She wasn't this indestructible, untouchable, immortal person, but one with needs as everyone had. I stepped back and started taking off the armor, placing the pieces on the nearby table or the floor if the pieces were too large and heavy.

"The armor suits you, James. Keep it. It needs a new owner," Amelia quietly stated. I nodded as I took off the breastplate and set it aside. Soon I was dressed simply in my shirt, trousers, and boots. "You know, Wanda, your pregnancy is coming along nicely. You're glowing." Amelia mumbled, feeling her stomach gently. Her fear of being alone was fading fast.

Wanda smiled, blushing, "Well… If it weren't for James, I wouldn't be in this situation, yes?"

I blushed as I placed the last few pieces of the armor on the nearby table. Turning to Wanda and Amelia, they watched me. Wanda was blushing deep red, and Amelia was smiling weakly, chuckling. "Well, if it serves to reason, James is rather the virulent one and strong. Had circumstances been far, far different back then, I would have enjoyed my time with him greatly. I'm not surprised you're having twins and so early on in your marriage," She laughed as I turned deep red, embarrassed, as my eyes went wide at Amelia's statement.

Wanda, still blushing majorly, playfully smacked Amelia, who only laughed hard, "Amelia!" She covered her head with a blanket only for me to drag it from her as I came to sit on Amelia's other side, she leaned heavily on my shoulder. She had her eyes closed.

Amelia, her laughter having become giggles, spoke, "What? Just telling how it is dear. Besides, it was a one-time thing. Stefan is my mate. And he is the one for me. Now… he's a sight I love seeing." This time both Wanda and I stared at her in disbelief, both of us mumbling exclamations of shock, scandalized at how Amelia was unembarrassed about going deep into the subject of conversation. She laughed louder at our embarrassment, her mood lightening already and her humor already back.

"And one that you can't resist for long dear." Stefan's voice came from the door. Amelia opened her eyes and she, Wanda, and I looked to where Stefan's voice came from. He came into the room, a loving smile on his face. "But let's leave such conversation for later. Amelia, I love you." In his left hand, he held a rather large pouch.

Amelia smiled, love pouring from her eyes, "I love you, Stefan." She sighed. Wanda and I watched as Stefan came over to my side of the bed where Amelia leaned into me. I moved aside to allow Stefan to take Amelia into his arms.

"These chains need to come off, Ame. You cannot go into Libran Sleep with them on," Stefan stated, a frown forming on his face.

Amelia, totally unconcerned, mumbled out as she leaned into him, "The chains are locked with Twilight magic. They will not come off easily." She had her eyes closed again, uncaring that the chains were on her.

Stefan looked to Wanda and I, switching to a different language, French, "Et James? Est-ce que lui qui les enlievera?" I perked up at the mention of my name. Though I didn't understand the French. Wanda and I shared a look of wonder at Stefan and Amelia's ability to speak multiple languages and talk to each other proficiently in two or more different languages at once, comprehending every word without a struggle.

Opening her eyes, Amelia frowned, looking to me before looking up to Stefan, switching languages herself, "כ׀אבל ג׀א ׳צטרר להג׳ע למצב ש׳גב׀ר על קסם רשחת׀ת." It was ancient Hebrew.

Stefan frowned, though seemed to understand the meaning behind Amelia's response, "Pendant combien de temps pensez-vous que vous serez dans Libran Sleep?"

Amelia furrowed her brows, switching back to English for Wanda and me, "I don't truly know Stefan. I could be in it for less than four weeks or up to eight months with how Josiah treated me when he locked me in the tower. Though if I had to take a gander, maybe four months at most this time?"

Stefan sighed in relief, "A much shorter time than the last time of two years. Libra did a wonderful job at taking care of you."

Amelia smiled, "Yes. Yes, he did, which is why I wanted to name the sleep after him. It was a high honor. And still is, which is why everyone agreed with me at the idea, even as he refused."

I interrupted their conversation, both Wanda and I were thoroughly confused at their topic, "What is Libran Sleep? And why for so long?"

Stefan answered, looking up from Amelia to look me in the eye, "Libran Sleep is a state of sleep for us dragons that when we get injured in such ways like Amelia here, we go into it to regain the light energy we need as well as getting back to a healthy body weight. It gives us time and an unlimited travel range to search the universe for a star that's near the end of its life. Unlike humans who need food and rest, Libran Sleep is that to dragons. When that star is found, our souls dive deep to the star's core and transform the entire star and store all its energy into a gem of our choosing. And because we're in spirit form, we can handle the pressure and heat of said star.

"During the formation of the gemstone, all the energy created from the star is stored within the gem itself, that way none of it is wasted. The gem and stored energy are transformed into the catalyst to help the dragon to become healthy again. The gemstone has all the necessary proteins, enzymes, and nutrients needed. When the process is complete, the gemstone solidifies completely in one of the hands or on the chest of said dragon as the dragon comes back to their body to awaken. That takes two weeks. Whatever energy is left over in the gem, the dragon will either merges it with another older, partial life gem, or they make it into a small piece of jewelry as a backup. The gems are call Star Gems."

I moved to sit on the bed near them as Wanda took Amelia's right hand as she asked, "Is there a way to tell how long you'll be asleep, Amelia?" My arm where it was attached started to get quite irritated from the sweat and dirt from my battle with Ganon, forcing me take off my shirt.

Amelia opened her tired eyes, "No, anytime I go into Libran Sleep, it goes anywhere from less than a month to over two years. I can never tell how long I will be in it each time I do fall into Libran Sleep. Only thing I can do is take a gander at the length of time depending on how healthy I need to get."

"Please don't stay in Libran Sleep too long. I want you there for the birth of our twins," Wanda asked, almost pleading, placing a hand on her stomach. I nodded.

Amelia smiled sadly, "I will try younglings, though I cannot promise it."

Stefan squeezed Amelia gently, "Ame, you're getting weaker. You need to get into Libran Sleep." Amelia nodded. Stefan looked to Wanda and me, waving us to clear the area, "Clear the bed, she needs it to sleep." Doing such, Wanda clung to my left arm as we watched, Stefan lay Amelia more towards the center of the bed. Taking up the large pouch he had earlier, he emptied it on the bed, revealing that it held gold and silver ingots and coins and gems of all kinds. He scattered them all around Amelia and some on her as well.

"What's with the gold, silver, and gems Stefan?" I asked, curious.

"Because of our photoreceptors and photoreactors and our advanced ages, we require something other than just the light of the sun to maintain our health. This is a regenerancy bed that I just made from Asgard's treasury," Stefan simply added, annoyed at the questions.

Amelia frowned at her husband, hmphed, quietly mumbled, "Stefan, they're just kids. The built-up light in our photoreceptors and photoreactors, bounce off the gems and coins and back onto to my body. It will aide greatly in my healing process. It's called a regenerancy dome." Her eyes drooped further. Wanda grumbled at being called a child and I looked at Amelia as if she had lost her mind. Seriously… I'm over 100 years old… I can do whatever the heck I want… Wait… Did I just say that? I just called myself old… I thought.

Stefan pleaded, kissing her hand, "Yes. Come back to me soon, love. Don't sleep too long."

"I will… try…" Amelia whispered slowly before falling asleep. As she did, the gems and precious metals flashed, going into the air, and bouncing around in an invisible, spherical barrier around Amelia. She floated into the air above the bed, enough to allow the gems and precious metal pieces to go underneath her. The light prismed and all colors of the rainbow flashed around her body and bounced off the barrier it created.

Stefan let a tear fall. "Come back to me soon, my love," he whispered.

Wanda and I simply stared at the sleeping Amelia in awe. It was mesmerizing; watching the gems, coins, and ingots move around, the light bouncing off Amelia and each other as she slept. The light of the regenerancy dome lite up the room. It was a comforting and calming light to be bathed in. I felt the light of the dome draw me towards it, but Wanda held me back.

Stefan gestured, "Come, let us leave her to sleep. Both of you deserve rest and a time to clean up from your battle with Ganon."

Wanda hesitated, looking up to Stefan with puppy eyes, pleading, "Can I come back after and spend time with her? I know she sleeps, but I just want to make sure she's alright for me to fully relax."

Stefan couldn't refuse her pleading eyes, "Very well, though with her severely weakened state, I will limit your time with her to no more than an hour."

"Thank you, Stefan!" She hugged him the best way she could with her pregnant stomach.

"I will have Inuyasha come and get your armor to clean it, Buck. It needs cleaning and I will have him bring it to your rooms later when it is needed to honor your victory." Stefan stated, looking to me as we walked towards our rooms.

"But the armor is Jedidiah's. Wouldn't Amelia want the suit to be set up in Reslutia?" I countered.

Stefan smiled sadly, shaking his head, "No, she would love to see it in use, not as a decoration in our rooms collecting dust."

I nodded, accepting, "Very well. Wanda, come let's get cleaned up and down to the kitchens, I am rather hungry."

"Take your time. You both deserve the rest," Stefan mentioned tiredly, a hint of teasing in his voice. The rest of the way to their room, Stefan remained silent and stoic as a sentinel. The people they passed bowed or curtsied deeply to Wanda and James, out of respect and awe to the heroes who saved the universe. They also bowed to Stefan out of respect as well. Many were working on repairs which were going well. Every so often, they saw Rin, Inuyasha, Link, and Sesshomaru helping with repairs, either as dragons or in their human forms.

Arriving as their chambers, Stefan paused outside the door as I opened the door. "It will take some time over the next few weeks and months for the Asgardians to complete the repairs to the palace and surrounding courtyards and the countryside towns, villages, and outposts. Take your time to rest, James, Wanda. My son and daughter."

"Thank you, Stefan." Wanda said hugging him again Stefan smiled weakly as he hugged her back, patting her head, before turning and walking down the hallway, back to Amelia. The two Avengers watched him disappear down the hallway, both sad for the ancient warrior, who gave up so much for this world that wasn't his. Now he had his wife back… to love and to hold… knowing that the future was ahead of him and Amelia.
