Bucky's POV

Wanda was really kind and gentle after I got out of the water. She found a washcloth and gently dried me off. Then, afraid I'd catch a cold, she gave me a small piece of wool fabric to use for a blanket. Pietro had insisted on me being placed back in the jar before going to bed, but Wanda stayed up a little longer to talk to me.

"Sweet dreams, Bucky." She told me as she fell asleep. I smiled, these kids were alright, maybe Pietro was a bit rough, but he was just worried. I wrapped my 'blanket' closer around me, I was cold and still a bit wet. After a few hours I heard Wanda start crying in her sleep. "Mom!" She said in a panicked voice as she bolted up from her bed.

"Wanda," I said gently. "Are you ok?" She looked at me and nodded. "Sorry I woke you..." she added. "You didn't" I told her calmly. "I don't usually sleep." She opened the jar and took me out. She held me closer as tears spilled onto my head. "You're ok now Wanda." I told her gently. "I'm right here, I'll keep the nightmares away."

"Thanks,Bucky..." She said as she tried to stop crying. I started singing gently in Russian.

"You are my sunshine,

My only sunshine,

You make me happy

When skies are grey,

Youare my sunshine,

My only sunshine,

Please don't take

My sunshine

Away."

"Can you sing it again?" Wanda asked me as she calmed down, I nodded. "You are my sunsh-" "What are you doing?!" Pietro demanded angrily as he glared at me. "S-She was s-scared." I stammered in fear. "You can't be out here!" He growled.

"S-She took me out.""Pietro leave him alone!" Wanda told him. "Go to bed Wanda." Pietro grumbled. ""And put him back in the jar! Why did you take him out?""He's trying to help with my nightmares pietro."Wanda explained calmly as she held me closer."I can do that!" Pietro said in exasperation.

"You need sleep too, Pietro." Wanda told him gently."I still want to help Wanda." He told her, focusing only on her."I know, but Bucky was awake... and you weren't. So." Wanda explained." You can wake me up next time. Now put him back in the jar. Please". He told her, remembering me again. She looked down at me sadly.

"Alright," she told him. "...Sorry Bucky." She whispered as she gently placed me back in the jar. I pressed my flesh hand against the glass sadly and said."...Its ok..." They went back to sleep and neither had nightmares for the rest of the night.

Pietro woke up first in the morning and made him and Wanda food. I watched him, expecting to be let out and fed, I was wrong. "No food this morning," Pietro told me. "I don't care if Wanda did take you out, I know you gave her the idea."

Wanda tried to convince him to let me eat but he stood firm. "Those are the rules Wanda," he told her. "If we let him off this once, he'll think it's ok to break all the other ones." Wanda looked sadly at me. "Sorry Bucky..." She told me sadly as we heard footsteps coming down the hall. I shrugged in return.

For the next six hours I tried to focus on anything except my aching gut. That was next to impossible because Pietro had refused to let me have anything in the jar with me except the blanket. Wanda burst into the room as fast as she could and gently scooped me out of the jar.

"I'm so so sorry!" She half sobbed, as she hurried to make me some food. I almost literally inhaled it, I was starving. "I'm fine, Wanda" I told her gently. "You have nothing to be sorry for, really. I was just hungry" Pietro walked in then and glared at me.

I tried to keep a low profile until it was time to get back in the jar. "Does he HAVE to stay in the jar, Pietro?" She asked as she cradled me in her hand. Pietro nodded and gestured for her to put me back. She sighed and said. "Sorry Bucky. Good night and sweet dreams."

"Night." I told her as I wrapped up in my blanket. After awhile, the twins fell asleep leaving me alone. I was exhausted, but I was too stressed to sleep. What if hydra came to hurt me? A few hours before dawn I heard Pietro muttering in Russian. "Please don't hurt me!" He begged in his sleep.

"I don't want to do that!" He whimpered in fear. "No! I'll do whatever you want! Just don't hurt Wanda!" He bolted up from sleep, panting in fear. "Are you alright?" I asked him, he glared at me. "I'm fine. Shut up." He growled. "You don't look fine." I responded.

"Well I am!" He snapped angrily, I looked at him sadly. "I'm here if you need me... let me know." I told him. He walked over, unscrewed the lid, and took me out of my jar. "I'm fine. Don't worry about me" He told me as he held me in his hand."Do you want to talk about it? I'll listen." I told him gently. "No," he said. "I don't want to talk about it."

"I get them too." I told him. "What do you fear most?" He asked me. "Heights." I said with a shiver. "I'm afraid of losing Wanda." He told me nervously. "I'll get us all out of here, I promise." I told him, he laughed before saying.

"hahaha, How? You're tiny!" "I will somehow, I never break my promises." I told him in determination, he continued to hold me for a few minutes."... ok. Whatever. I'm going back to bed" he said as he placed me back in the jar, gently to my great surprise. "Good night." I told him. "...night." He responded. I settled down for another sleepless night.
