I'm a Donna Fan

"Harvey? You need anything?" Donna looked at him in surprise as he stood by the car, a bouquet of flowers in one hand. She almost asked who it was for but silently concluded instead that he must be seeing someone special tonight.

"What took you so long?"

"Have you been waiting for me?"

"Maybe. You ready to go?" She quirked a brow at him, confused with what he's trying to imply now. "I thought you have a show?"

"I do, but what does that have to do with you waiting for me?"

"Isn't it obvious? I'm going with you."

She was stunned for a few seconds as he offered her the flowers, a light smile grazing her lips in no time. "For your dressing room."

"You're really going to watch the play? Since when were you a Shakespeare fan?"

"I'm not, but as you know I am a Donna fan."

"Fair enough."

Harvey opened the door for her and did the same when they reached their destination. He gave her a simple nod before they parted ways. He thought of wishing her good luck but he knew better. Donna wouldn't need it.

Time went by and it was finally almost her turn to enter the stage. She could see him from where she was standing behind the curtains, looking so lifeless, just as she expected from someone who was never a fan of these shows.

But he did mention that he is your fan.

Donna tried her best to suppress a smile and stay in character as she made her entrance, seeing how he suddenly started paying attention to the stage as if her voice awakened his every interest at that exact moment.

Their gaze met for a second and that little time was enough for her to see the proud smile on his face, one that was meant only for her.

Her days long of rehearsing at home and with Louis at work eventually paid off tonight. Donna was satisfied with how it all went, and being welcomed by the sight of Harvey waiting for her once again after the show ended only made the entire night more memorable for her.

It would turn into a beautiful memory of Donna embracing her old actress self with the man who witnessed how she changed through the years, all for the better.

"Well?" she grinned at him.

"I know I said I would never let you go as my secretary, but I guess this career could be an exception."

"You actually enjoyed it." That was rather unexpected on her side.

"I'd leave work anytime to see you again on that stage, Donna." He returned a genuine smile, his one arm wrapping around her waist as they headed out.
