Short drabble I thought I'd write, considering I was in a VERY angry mood this morning. Wrote this and felt heaps better as a result. I don't actually KNOW what to think of what came out of it, so I guess this is why I'm putting it on here for everyone to see. I also felt that Lucia could have done with another fic to add to her tiny roster, so here we are.

The twin sisters, two witches, Anger and Misery. They both surrounded her, both taunted her, made her run. She bolted blindly, as though hoping that somehow she would escape from their cruel jibes. But the further she tried to run, the more entangled she became in their vicious net, woven with the indestructible fibres bought from Mockery. She struggled gamely, even as tears of frustration clouded her vision. Frustration at herself, at her feelings of neglect. She was repulsed by her own weakness. She had been to naïve and he had taken her heart without either of them realizing it, he had taken her respect and had endeavoured to return it. But he had failed miserably. The fact that he had never tried to call her or get in touch just proved it. She felt used, as though she had never been much more than toy, and she hated herself, she hated the fact that her feelings were so fragile, were so easily shattered.

Why didn't he care? Why hadn't he bothered to phone or write? She knew that he was alive, the fact that so many demons had been reported dead was testament to that. Only Dante would have been to kill such monstrosities where so many other had failed.

She had waited for him at his agency, and when she had heard the roar of a motorcycle, she had thought it to be him and had rushed out. To her horror, it was a blonde woman, who shook her hair free from the helmet and gave her a scornful look. She had asked her where Dante was. Her response? She had merely laughed, the sound as cruel as sharp shards of glass.

As she remembered her humiliation, she continued to run, feeling angry bitter sobs escaping her. And only the hateful, yet powerful arms of Decay were there to embrace her.
