Chapter 9
Choso returned to the dorm.
Yet as he did, he paused and saw the woman from before, having a seat and enjoying the snacks the brothers made. "I'm surprised you didn't come here first…" he said offhandedly.
She smiled to the comment. "Had I, that woman would have escaped. I rather deal with something in the moment then to go back and handle it later." She was just finishing up a small platter of sandwiches. "Mmm, you boys certainly know how to treat a lady!"
Junpei smiled. "You have been taking care of Yuuji, this is the very lease we could do in return… by the way… how is he? I mean, we don't know if he is doing well considering the situation…" he asked.
She smiled warmly. "He's doing remarkably well, Yuuji flew right into my arms the moment he saw me. I am so proud he can fly on his own now… but who taught him?"
"That would be Satoru Gojo. He was determined to have Yuuji fly… mainly to annoy Suiryu." Choso said and then smiled at the thought. "I do admit, it's remarkable to see him take flight, at the same time nerve racking…"
"Hey, at least Suiryu didn't teach him how. Me, he shoved me off a cliff!"
The brothers froze. "Wait, he did what?!" demanded Sho.
"Shhhh, Yuuji!" scolded Choso.
Sho was quick to lower his voice. "He did that?" he whispered angrily.
"Looking back, it's rather funny…" Junpei said and snickered at the notion.
Choso rolled his eyes to it all. "Either way, little brother is doing well though?" he asked.
The woman nodded. "Remarkably well. I can only hope he passes his test. I believe that is going to be happening sooner than later…" she stood up from the couch, her hand gently came over top of Yuuji's head. Choso felt a strange warmth come from her, yet she nodded and took her hand away once more. "He is nearing the end of his tests," she whispered. "What happens after will depend on him."
"What of the woman who tried to kidnap him?" Choso asked. "Is she going to be punished?"
"Strangely enough, I allowed her to pick it. Despite the other option to lose her wealth, she chose death for a strange reason!"
The room paused. "What… were the options?" Junpei asked.
"Simply put, she either loses all her wealth, or, she feed Yuuji next time. She opted to feed him… I can't see her surviving more than 30 seconds considering his needs and appetite."
The room paused once more, before a collective shutter came over the brothers. "That woman does know he isn't eating solid food, does she?" Choso asked.
She shrugged her shoulders. "She never asked."
"Fair…" muttered Shouoso.
Choso sighed aloud. "Well, it's been an eventful day to say the least… I think I am going to take Yuuji to my room for his nap."
Just as he was about to leave, the strange woman was finishing her tea. "What happened here today has triggered what will become of this school and its students," she said aloud.
Suddenly, everyone was looking to her. "Miss… can you explain that to us please?" asked Sanso.
She nodded. "What happened today has put forth in motion what will become of all of you. It isn't favorable to say the least, however, I want you to all be ready. Specially when HE returns."
"He? Yuuji?" Choso asked.
Yet there came a glare in her eyes. Choso felt it in his chest, she's speaking of HIM… "Ryomen Sukuna." She said.

Yaga was left to deal with the aftermath. The Zenin family wasn't happy, the Kamo clan is at odds and the council is still recovering from the gut checks they all received from the little Itadori boy. He merely stood there as no one said a word about it. Either out of shame or embarrassment, he wasn't about to push it, let alone question the silence just yet.
But as the clans left, the council turned and glared at him. "How long have you known?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "Depends on what you are asking."
"The demon vessel! When did the demon vessel change!" they demanded.
"I suppose the moment it happened to him, Suiryu called for a meeting and explained the situation. We felt that the less people knew, the less of a panic it would cause. Itadori hasn't done any harm or damage…"
"Then who has been Itadori? We have seen that boy walking around as if nothing was wrong, who transfigured themselves to become him? How is that even possible!?"
Yaga sighed. "That was Junpei, covering for Yuuji. As to how he did it, I don't know. But the process was incredibly painful for him to do. However as such, he won't be doing so anymore. As well, Itadori is under Suiryu's protection. I wouldn't be trying anything foolish to say the least," he warned.
"What is becoming of the demon vessel? He looks more demonic than before, yet, he has no markings, no curse energy…"
Yaga kept his mouth shut on the matter. "Gentlemen, if that's everything, I'll be going now and cleaning up…" he stated.
They nodded to him, which made Yaga all the more concerned. The council no doubt will inform their elders soon and brief them to what has happened…
