Chapter 37

The divine realm.

His power has grown greatly, in fact, Yuuji has mastered a technique not known well among the divine creatures, not even to the dragons. Yet, with Ryujin's help, he learned how he could manipulate and take divine energy away from something and someone. But, that wasn't the only thing.

He was tested.

Time and time again, Yuuji was questioned by the dragon on situations, when to call for using strength or words. But more importantly, he had to know the difference between right and wrong among the divine. He had been confronting humans who poach the divine creatures from the woods. Many he has take out, but let them live, but he severed the chains that bind the creatures to these humans. He also learned how to take away divine energy in these humans, an ability that no one among the divine really possessed except for the dragon. It only proved to him that he was indeed such a creature, but doesn't possess it's appearance. Yet it was strange, there have been some humans who seek familiars, yet, they are not forcing their power on them.

There was one who approached them peacefully, introduced themselves and explained why they were there, and requested their assistance. He watched on as a fairy made a contract with this one human, their hands locked as a new chain was formed, yet it wasn't a slave chain, more like a delicate bracelet came upon their wrists. "We are equals, and as such, when I no longer need your assistance, I will release you from our agreement." The human said wholeheartedly.

The fairy left willingly, and a while later, it returned without a chain! "Peaceful arrangements can happen, but they are few and far between for many sorcerers believe the only way to obtain power is to steal it and force their will upon others. Those who are weak suffer the most." The dragon explained to him. "But as such, you must be made aware as well, there are deplorable humans, but there are also deplorable divine creatures as well."

"How do you know the difference?" Yuuji asked innocently enough. "If I didn't know, I would have helped a divine creature no matter what the situation. But, as you said… there are those who would do harm to others… how do you tell?"

The dragon snickered. "Instincts" he simply started. "Your time here is about to end, but let me assure you. There is a part of you that will know good from evil, you will have that in your soul as well…"

"Wait, I have good and evil?" he asked innocently.

The dragon snickered. "Your counterpart may act like it, but deep down, he still has your heart, he just had a terrible teacher."

"My counterpart?"

He felt as if the world tore away from him, he then stood in an empty room. There were no windows, doors or anything, it was just white. "HELLO!?" he called aloud.

"Oh? Finally, someone to play with!"

He was startled by the voice, but turned to see someone who looked like him, yet, there was such darkness to him. His body was covered in strange black marks, his eyes glowed oddly as he bared some odd looking teeth. They were almost like fangs! "You think you can fool me again, Sukuna?"

He froze. "Sukuna?"

But this person paused, he stared at him oddly with four eyes before his smile grew. "You're not him… good… make this fun for me!"

He came charging!

Yuuji avoided the strike just in time, but he came back around again! He was able to block the blow and yet, at the same time. When he felt the strike, there was a connection to his attacker!

Something in him clicked, before his attacker suddenly stopped and pulled back. "Huh…" the darker looking man peered at him oddly. "You're really not Sukuna? But, each time I try to strike you… something clicks in me… what's your name?"

He was taken aback by the question. "Yuuji," he said.

The stranger was startled. "Yuuji? You're the one that voice keeps asking for…"

"What voice?"

"I hear a voice, sounds like Sukuna, a bastard that tried to convince me that he was the other half of me that's missing. Didn't fall for it, yet still. I hear a voice asking for Yuuji… The name is Itadori by the way."

"Yuuji… Itadori…"

Suddenly, both were rendered to their knees. They felt weak very suddenly, but their minds began to open up. "That's my name!" they said at the same time. "No, it's MY name!" they said again.

From that moment on, they spoke at the same time. It took a moment for them to realize why that was. "The missing half… it's you!" but then paused. "Does this mean…" they both muttered and their hands reached out to each other…

The world was a blur.

His eyes couldn't focus. Worst still he was trapped! Pinned in place and unable to move. 'Damn it, I really have to pee…' Yuuji thought. Looking about he tried to see what pinned him down, he was started as he saw Suiryu's face lingering over him, dead asleep. 'Suiryu! Wake up! I can't move!' Yuuji tried to say, but no words came out of him.

Then again, why did Suiryu look like a giant to him?

He sighed aloud and managed to wiggle and squirm his way out of his grasp. Yet as he did, a flush of embarrassment came over him.

He couldn't hold it anymore.

'Oh God, I am not going to hear the end of this…' he thought. But then paused as he peered at his feet. 'Wait, they're so small… I'm wearing a diaper?!' He tried to stand, time and time again, but his legs trembled and refused to allow him to reach a vertical base. With a sigh, he crawled across the floor to the full length mirror in his room. Peering in, Yuuji froze.

'Is… this me?' he thought. 'What the hell happened to me!?'

"Ugh…" he paused as Suiryu moaned aloud, he stretched and then peered down. "Yuuji?!" a moment of panic came over him, looking about the room, Suiryu appeared desperate to find him.

'Suiryu, I'm over here!' was what he wanted to say, what came out of him was "Umph!"

'Damn, that's all I can say?' he thought.

Suiryu froze as he stared down at him. "Yu… Yuuji…" he whispered. It was like a flash as Yuuji was lifted up off his feet and was stating into Suiryu's eyes. All four of them were open, inspecting him over. "Yuuji… you woke up!"

'Suiryu? Are you crying?'

Once more only Umph came out of him as Suiryu pulled Yuuji into the most heart felt embrace that has ever come from his brother! "You're okay! You're okay!" he wept happily, but then pause as he heard him sniff. "Ugh, and need to change!"

'I tried to get you to let me go!'

Suiryu however smirked. "Let's get you all washed up today, okay? We'll go visit everyone and show them that you're all right for now… God, don't ever scare me like that again!" he demanded.

'What did I do!?'

It was just an awkward morning for him. True to his word, Suiryu gave Yuuji a bath, then changed and dressed him up. Today, he was wearing a tiger onesies. Yet when they came out of the room, Fushiguro froze, as did Nobara.

"Suiryu… You finally came out of the room! What the hell!" Nobara demanded of him.

"I… I couldn't move him around when he was asleep, not to mention he was vulnerable… I couldn't leave him in the room either, not alone."

"But for a month!" Nobara snapped back.

'A month?'

"Can you blame me?" he asked of her.

Nobara sighed aloud and shook her head. "Just don't go all Itadori on us okay… it's annoying enough as it is that there is one of you…" she muttered.

Suiryu froze, she hasn't really called him that before. Yuuji was stunned too. 'They really are calling you an Itadori! That's great!' but of course only "Umph" came out of him. 'This is going to get some getting use to…'

Suiryu smiled, it was a genuine one as he sat at the table. "So, what now? He was asleep for that long and nothing happened to him…" Fushiguro said.

'Nothing happened to me? But how long have I even been like this!?'

"I don't know what to tell you Megumi… I really don't." Suiryu said with a sigh. "Again, this has never happened before, let alone a sorcerer who has reached this far either. Something must have if he was out for that long. There has to be a connections!" he protested, but appeared frustrated by it all. "Too bad you can't tell us, huh Yuk-Yuk?"

'Yuk-Yuk?'

The table paused. "Weird, normally he laughs to that," Suiryu muttered.

"Well take him to visit your brothers or something, maybe something might click… or whatever…" Nobara said offhandedly.

Suiryu nodded. "Okay baby bro, let's go see the other bros…"
