"Are you okay?" a voice ran through Lola's head "Lola?... Lola!" Lola immediately woke up, staring at Zoe who was looking down on her sleeping.
"I was sleeping!" Lola frustrantingly said, sitting up from her bed and rubbing her eyes.
"Well excuuuuse me! But you were sitting smiling in your sleep" Zoe smirked, "Good date then?".
Lola bit her bottom lip, trying not to turn her smile into a cheesy grin "It, um... was" she smiled.
Zoe's mouth dropped "Yous had sex!" she said loudly, her opened mouth forming into a grinning smile "You have the sex face! Sex eyes! Sex hair!". Lola put her finger to her lips to shush her.
"Who had sex?" a catty question to come from a catty girl. Both the girls turned to look at the door frame and there stood Mandy Wiles - head cheerleader, in only a men's Bullworth t-shirt, most likely Ted's with her mousse hair hanging over her chest. She had her arms crossed with an eyebrow raised.
"Nothing, Mandy" Zoe said, rolling her eyes and moving to sit at her dressing table, getting ready. Mandy rolled her eyes back at her and stuck her tongue out. She then turned to the other side of the room, focusing her attention on Lola.
"Lola Lombardi, is it?" Mandy asked, her voice seemed sweet, but that bitchy-sweet way.
"Yeah, and you're Mandy Wiles? We didn't get a chance to chat yesterday" Lola said back in the same catty voice, faking a smile.
"Nope, we did not, now listen" Mandy walked in to the room and sat on the bed next to Lola. Zoe turned around and looked at the bombshell,
"Did we say you could come in?" Zoe asked her, raising her voice slightly.
"Hush, Zoe" Mandy perked up, keeping her eyes on Lola and raising a finger to shush Zoe "Anyway... listen, I don't know what you think you saw yesterday with me and Johnny, but get the image out of your head" she explained to Lola, her voice getting significantly higher and angrier.
"So, what did I see then?" Lola asked, trying to catch Mandy out in her words.
Mandy smiled, she already had this figured out "We were merely just talking, the greasers and jocks haven't been getting along recently so I tried to air it out, I was sitting up on the toolbox and he walked over, and we hugged it out, nothing more." Lola just chuckled, she knew that Mandy was lying, she was trying to get into her head. Mandy got visibly angry, she stood up and looked down on her "And if you dare tell anyone, I'll tell them you're a liar who's jealous of me because I'm the most popular girl in school... then who will they believe?".
Lola stood up and came face to face with her "I couldn't give two shits about you and Johnny before I appeared, I know what I saw and I won't tell anyone unless I have to" Lola walked closer to her and Mandy was taking steps back, Zoe watched the full show "You think you're so popular, but really you're just a mean girl, you're a bitch, a bitch who's gonna get what's coming to her" Mandy turned to look at Zoe, slightly scared of Lola, she quickly looked back and realized she was pushed up against the wall with Lola in her face.
"Y-you... you slut! I heard what you both said! You had sex with Johnny!" Mandy exclaimed, trembling against the wall, trying not to cry, she never had someone stand up to her before.
"Yeah, we did, he took me out last night on a date, he ever do that for you?" Lola asked, looking Mandy in the eyes, Mandy didn't say anything, Lola snickered "Of course he didn't, you know why? Because I'm his girl now, we're inevitable, and you know what you are Mandy? An easy ride for him until he found the one he was looking for, me" Lola backed off from Mandy, taking a few steps back and looking at her. Mandy looked at Lola and then Zoe, she didn't know what to say, nobody ever stood up to her like that before, she quickly ran out of the room.
Zoe stood up, in shock, and then let out a small laugh "What the hell! You're a badass! No one has ever stood up to Mandy like that before!" Zoe smiled at Lola.
"I had to live in Bullworth Vale for years, putting up with bitchy, snobby girls like Mandy, I know how to handle them" Lola smirked, starting to get ready. Zoe laughed and looked at her for a moment, she then went back to sit down at her dressing table, continuing her makeup.
Pinky sat on the rooftop of Harrington House - she wore a blue and white Aquaberry bikini, sunglasses on, sipping a cocktail - it was 8:30 AM, she had class in half an hour, but she didn't seem to care. She loved sitting up here, she was the only one that knew how to get up here, her, Derby and...
Her attention was drawn to a gorgeous, red-head, Aquaberry-wearing boy, who had just climbed the loft-type stairs to get onto the rooftop. Bif Taylor. "Hey, I thought I heard someone up here" he walked closer to Pinky, looking down at her as she sat on her sunbed, sipping on her drink. She didn't reply to him, she didn't even look at him. "Pinky - what the hell? Class starts in half an hour and you're sitting up here in a bikini?" he asked, he looked at her, she was stunning, she had beautiful curves, but she was Derby's girl... his best friend's. Suddenly, she lifted her sunglasses off and put them on her head.
"Bif I'm really not in the mood" she looked at him, Bif sat on the other sunbed beside her, hands clasped and his body turned to her.
"Well, I'm always here to talk to."
"I just..." Pinky started, her voice breaking "Derby's back tomorrow, and then it's his welcome party on the Saturday, and I know I'm meant to be excited for his return but I was kinda happy he was gone for the Summer, I felt like I had a normal, free life, you know?" Pinky sat up as well to face him.
"You're not excited about marrying him?" Bif asked her, taking out an apple from his pocket and taking a bite, watching her move and reaction, did he have a crush on her? Yes, was he allowed to have a crush on her? No.
Pinky gave him a glare "Does it look like I'm excited to marry him?" she then paused and realized she was taking her anger out on her friend "Sorry, Bif. It's just family traditions right? You can either love them or hate them. I mean, marrying my cousin?! Ugh" Pinky moaned, she stood up and began putting her Aquaberry school outfit over her bikini. She had her back turned to Bif, she bent over to pull her skirt up and Bif immediately went red on the cheeks, he instantly looked away, he was a gentleman after all.
Pinky turned back to look at him as she combed through her mousse, shiny hair "I suppose we better get ready for class, what do you have first?" she questioned.
Bif stood up as well "Math."
Pinky squeaked and clasped her hands together "Me too! You can escort me" she smiled and linked her arm around his bigger, muscular one, and they both headed downstairs and out of Harrington House.
Lola made her way through the school grounds, she walked through the car park and saw a blonde, ruffed up boy fighting with the greaser she had met yesterday, Ricky. She watched them whilst walking and then entered the Auto Shop, she wondered where all the boys were. As she walked round, she could see a group of them in the garage, their backs facing her and them looking at Johnny. "There she is!" Johnny smirked, that devilish smirk that she liked. The boys turned to face her, some of them smiling, some of them curious.
"You alright? I'm Peanut" one of the lads said, pointing his thumb at himself, "This is Hal and Lefty" he pointed to a bigger greaser and a greaser with raven black hair wearing a blue denim jacket. She smiled at the boys and introduced herself. Her attention was moved onto a taller greaser who had his eyebrow raised at her, "Norton man, you not gonna introduce yourself?" Peanut asked.
Norton had an angry frown on his face and tutted "Norton Williams" he simply said, he did have a good judge of character, and Lola wasn't a good character.
Lola faced to another boy who had a denim jacket on, and a shorter, redheaded boy with a leather jacket on "I'm Lucky" the denim-wearing one said, "I'm Vance" the other said.
"Nice to meet'cha all" Lola replied, moving to stand closer to Johnny.
"I let them into our backstory a little bit" Johnny smiled, putting his arm around her, as the other greasers watched them like they were a show "Got a little gift for ya" he squeezed her gently and then let go, moving to a toolbox and opening it, taking out a leather jacket, one that would fit her perfectly. "Now I know you've already got a jacket like this, but this one seems a bit more ... "greasery" don't'cha think?" Johnny asked, Lola walked over to him as the other greasers watched and Johnny put the jacket on her. She fixed her auburn hair so it sat perfectly, he gestured for her to kiss him on the cheek, which she done and then smiled at him.
"Now, none of you boys ever think about messing with my girl alright?" he put his arm around her "We're the king and queen of this school" he told them, the greasers nodded and some even clapped and cheered.
Around this school, Lola Lombardi will be untouchable.
And that's what she liked.
Time to start a little hellraising.
Beatrice Trudeau sat at her spot in the Library, her nose stuck in a book as usual, this time a romantic novel instead of a non-fiction. She was caught smiling to herself when suddenly the Library door swung right open with a bang, she jumped and then peered over the top of the book to see what the commotion was.
"You think this is funny, Ted, huh?!" an older gentleman, perhaps around late 40s, marched in with Ted Thompson, the school's quarterback, Ted turned to face his father as the door closed behind them.
"What the hell! Showing up at my school dad?!" Ted shouted back at him.
"Yeah! Because Dr Crabblesnitch asked me to come! Your grades are slipping Ted!" his dad got up in his face, they were around the same height, Ted's dad only slightly taller "You can't just go to Gym all the time and that's it! I want you to do well here, and yes you're a football star, but what happens when you leave school? What about those hopes and dreams you had of becoming a doctor?!" he shouted back, his voice getting even louder.
Ted didn't say anything, he looked down at his shoes, Beatrice wondered if he was crying or about to start.
After a few minutes, Mr Thompson sat down at the library table closest to where they were but Ted still stood looking at the ground "Sit down, son" he told him, his voice was more calmer, more gentle. Ted gave him a simple nod and sat at the chair in front of his father, finally looking up at him "I just want you to do well, I get it, you've got your boys and you're dating the head cheerleader, you're living the high school dream, but we both know your dream isn't to keep doing football and if it is, you can tell me that."
Ted thought for a moment "Dad, it's not, I do want to be a doctor, but I've got a reputation here-"
"Your reputation doesn't matter once you leave, your grades and your exams matter" his dad told him, "Just try a bit harder, okay? I know high school is hard but I want you to spend more time here in the library, I'm sure you can juggle spending your time here and football practice, maybe see Mandy at weekends"
Ted nodded "But I don't even know what classes to take, what the best ones are..."
With that, Mr Thompson pulled out a small notebook from his pocket and a pen, he started jotting down classes "Right, so you'll need English and Maths, definitely, you'll also need to get A's in Biology and Chemistry - excuse me!" he called over Mrs Carvin, the librarian teacher "My son here is looking for your best books to help him with Biology and Chemistry classes."
"Oh, why of course! I must admit, I've not seen Ted in the library since he first started school here!" Mrs Carvin exclaimed, she seemed happy that another student would start taking up reading and books. Mr Thompson gave Ted a glare and then looked back at the older woman, Mrs Carvin looked around and then spotted Beatrice "Ah Beatrice!" she called her name.
Beatrice stopped peering over her book and instead put it down, "May you show this fine, young man our best Biology and Chemistry books for studies?" Mrs Carvin asked. Beatrice gulped, a nerd and a jock couldn't talk to each other, or be friends, plus Mandy would kill her.
"Uh.. um, yes, of course Mrs Carvin" she called back, Ted looked over at Beatrice and then rolled her eyes, his dad gave him another glare and then smiled at the blonde girl.
"Thank you, Beatrice, is it?" he asked, Beatrice nodded as she walked over to him "Great, now Ted remember what I said, and if you don't make an effort, you can say goodbye to your football team, I'm good friends with Ralph" he told his son, referring to Dr Crabblesnitch, and with that, Mr Thompson left the library and went on his way.
"Beatrice also does tutoring Ted, so if you need any extra help with your new studies, you can let her know, although she is already tutoring that Bucky lad, so you must wait in line" Mrs Carvin joked, Beatrice faked a laugh and then the teacher walked away.
"Um, okay..." Beatrice said, shyly "So, um, you wanna follow me and I can show you the books?" she asked the jock, he looked up at her with his arms crossed and rolled his eyes.
"I suppose."
Beatrice and Ted stood up and walked up the stairs to where there was loads of shelves with books stacked. She reached the final shelf "So here is where you'll find the Biology and Chemistry books, the best ones for our classes are written by Dr Slawter and Dr Watts themselves" she picked up the two books and passed them to Ted "If you um, need help with tutoring-"
"No" Ted stopped her in her tracks "You think I'd be caught dead socializing with a nerd?" he chortled.
Beatrice put her hands on her hips "Well, I don't exactly want you near me either, I'm simply asking as Mrs Carvin mentioned it" she snapped back at him "After the stunt you guys pulled on Algie and Cornelius, that wasn't cool!". Ted just laughed back at her.
"They're nerds, they deserve it" Ted crossed his arms, leaning against the frame of the second floor terrace.
"You know what's funny?" Beatrice came closer to him "Once you're out of the football team, the jocks won't even bat an eyelid for you, you'll get bullied off them just like us."
"Who says I'm leaving the football team?"
"I overhead you and your dad talking."
"What, so not only are you an annoying nerd, you're also an eavesdropping nerd?"
"Yep, and it already looks like your friends don't want you around..." Beatrice said, crossing her arms as well.
"Meaning?"
"Meaning..." Beatrice then stopped and thought - she knew about Damon and Mandy, she caught them both in the Boys Locker Room at Gym one day, actually twice it happened, how cliche - the girlfriend and the best friend, hooking up. Beatrice looked back up at Ted "I forgot."
Ted chuckled "You nerds aren't as smart as you think. Anyway, I've got class in 10 minutes," he pushed past her and headed downstairs, leaving the library holding onto the books Beatrice gave him.
Beatrice looked down, she had to keep this secret to herself, no more else.
She looked down at her phone, 9:50 AM, shit, she quickly hurried along to her next class.
Mandy Wiles sat in Math class, thinking to herself, she was in complete shock all morning, how dare that Lola Lom-bitch stick up to her, nobody has ever done that, Zoe tried to and couldn't. "What's up with you?" a familiar voice asked, she turned to the desk next to her, there sat Gary Smith, smirking at her as he laid back on his chair comfortably. Mandy rolled her eyes.
"I don't speak to dorks, sorry" she gave him a bitchy smile and then looked away. She could hear Gary mumble 'Bitch' under his breath, she whipped back around to look at him "Excuse me!" she shouted at him. Bif and Pinky had just walked into the class.
"Mandy, are you okay?" Pinky asked, sitting in the chair next to her best friend, Bif sat in the one next to Pinky and was glaring at Gary.
Mandy turned back around and looked at Pinky and Bif "Y-yeah" she stumbled on her words and then laid her head in her hand for the rest of the class, slowly jotting down notes.
Once class had ended, the trio left the room "He's such a wanker!" Mandy screeched, referring to Gary. Pinky and Bif chuckled.
"He likes to torture people that's why" Pinky explained, and with that, Mandy caught the sight of Johnny Vincent behind the stairs, on his own.
"Um, I'll catch up with you guys in a bit" Mandy told them, Pinky and Bif nodded, not even realizing that Johnny was there, the two walked away and Mandy began marching over to him, then stopped and decided to walk a bit more calmly, trying not to direct any attention onto them. Once she reached him, she crossed her arms, waiting. Johnny simply looked at her.
"Can I help you, princess?" Johnny asked, it was then Mandy noticed he was smoking a cigarette.
"What's this about you and that new bitch Lola?"
"You seem jealous" Johnny raised an eyebrow.
"I'm not at all, so don't flatter yourself" Mandy flicked her hair "I'm just curious - you think it's smart to lead me on and then just drop me when some stupid slut from your past comes back in your life?"
Johnny chuckled "Mandy, we agreed that me and you were just a hook-up, nothing more, plus you're with Ted."
"Yeah, you're right, I am, and what do you think Ted's gonna do when I tell him about us? Because we know that the jocks will kick every single one of your greaser asses" she smirked.
Johnny smirked back and stood on his cigarette, putting it out. He walked closer to Mandy, pushing her against the wall and whispering in her ear "Except, you won't tell Ted will you? Because we both know that him and the jocks will never forgive you, and he gets to choose what cheerleaders he wants cheering him on, and I can almost guarantee you wouldn't be a part of the Beauties anymore" he then backed away "Plus, I'm a lot stronger than your boy" Johnny chuckled "See you around" and with that, he walked away.
Mandy tried not to tear up, this was the second person today that stood up to her, hurt her.
"What was that about?" she turned around to see Gary Smith.
"I fucking hate that new bitch!" Mandy almost shouted.
Gary's eyebrow raised "You need a plan to take her down?"
Mandy nodded "You know what Gary, taking over this school doesn't seem like a bad idea at all" she looked at him and smirked, he smirked back at her.
Zoe stood outside the receptionist office, waiting on Lola, she paced back and forth, it was the day to tell Dr Crabblesnitch what really happened 7 months ago with Mr Burton, was she scared? Yes, but was she also relieved? Yes! Mr Burton will finally get fired and maybe even arrested. After about 20 minutes, Lola didn't appear, Zoe sighed and walked into the reception "Miss Taylor?" Ms Danvers asked in confusion "I don't see your name on my appointment book."
Zoe took a deep breath "I need to speak with Crabblesnitch, immediately" she simply said, Ms Danvers raised an eyebrow and then let out a frustrated sigh.
"Alright, he is free, but-"
Zoe then marched into Dr Crabblesnitch's office, looking at him as he sat down, Crabblesnitch gave her a smile and pointed to the chair, he was awfully calm. "Ah, Miss Taylor, I've been expecting you to show up at my office soon."
Zoe was confused as she took a seat "You have?"
"Yes, this is about Mr Burton, I presume?" Crabblesnitch asked, his voice got more sterner, Zoe slowly nodded, how did he know? "Now Zoe, your parents called us around half a year ago, explaining to me that this day was eventually going to happen..." he started, Zoe looked at him startled and confused "Now, I understand you might not like Mr Burton, but starting lies and false accusations which could lead him to jail, that's not a good road to go down."
Zoe's startled look then turned into anger "What the hell! He touched my leg, he was trying to feel me up!" she shouted at him, Crabblesnitch looked calm "And how the hell do my parents know?!"
"Mr Burton said this would happen, I understand being upset that he kicked you out of the Bullworth Beauties cheerleading team, being on a team would've looked good on your college applications, however that is no excuse to be lashing out and trying to get him into trouble."
"Are you kidding me?!" Zoe shouted, she stood up angrily from the chair "Mandy kicked me out of the team because we fell out!"
"And can you keep your volume down please!" Crabblesnitch also stood up "Your parents contacted Mr Burton during that time to ask why you were kicked out, he said you were constantly arguing with the head cheerleader Mandy Wiles, he had to kick you off and they're still looking for a replacement to this day! And apparently, when he came to speak to you about it, you threatened him that you would come to me with such accusations! He had to warn your parents!"
Zoe had tears in her eyes, she couldn't believe this was happening, "He never came to speak to me after what he done to me, at all! Ask Mandy, she was the one that announced I was getting kicked off the Bullworth Beauties!"
"Yes, she and Burton agreed it would be best, so she came and told you in your Dorm room, and then the next day Mr Burton had a chat with you and you threatened him."
"You know what Crabblesnitch" she put her hands on his desk, leaning in to him "Fuck you, and fuck this school" she then grabbed her bag.
"Zoe Taylor, you can get out of my school, you are expelled! Bad language, bad attitude and false accusations! I am not allowing you to harm one of my teacher's reputations! I don't know where your parents are currently, but I will be contacting them to pick you up!"
"Don't bother, I know where I can stay" she sighed and left the office, she walked by Pinky and Bif.
"Zoe! You still coming to the party on-"
"Fuck off, Pinky" Zoe said and walked downstairs and out of the doors, and for the last time, out of Bullworth Academy.
In the Girls Locker Room in the Gym, Angie and Christy are sitting getting ready for cheerleading, Damon walks by the door and waves at them as they tie their shoelaces "Angie, Christy" he smiled and then left. Angie giggled slightly and Christy looked at her.
"Oh my God, how obvious do you make it Ang!" Christy laughed, nudging her slightly. Angie's cheeks went red.
"Meaning?" Angie smiled, tightening her pigtails.
"You're totally crushing on him! Why don't you just tell him?" Christy asked, crossing her arms. Angie rolled her eyes.
"Look, I would, but I've not had a boyfriend before, I've kissed a few of the guys here but dates? boyfriend? Never happened" Angie explained, leaning against the lockers. Christy smiled and put her hand on the locker to lean against them.
"Girl, you're so worthy of a boyfriend, and Damon would be hella lucky to have you as a girlfriend, plus you're cute and bubbly, you'd help soften Damon's angry side" Christy joked and Angie laughed with her "Now go for it."
"Right now?!" Angie exclaimed, then looked around to see if anyone was looking.
"Yes!" Christy cheered "Go get ya man!" she pushed Angie slightly to the door, Angie gave her a glare, brushed down her cheerleading outfit and then walked out the Locker Room, she made her way up to the swimming pool where she saw Damon leaning against the stands, looking at his phone.
"Hey Damon" Angie smiled as she walked up the steps.
"Alright Ang? How you doing?" he asked, she smiled to herself, she loved being called Ang by him. She stopped in her tracks, gulping, she didn't know what to say, she started feeling embarrassed, red appearing on her cheeks and her nose, her heart was going "Ehh.. you alright?" he asked, walking closer to her.
"Y-Yeah" she muttered "Um, listen, I was just wondering, you know, when you're free, sometime, if maybe you wanted to do something sometime?" she stumbled on her words.
"Like a date?" he asked, smiling.
"I mean, if you wanna call it that" she started to play with her pigtail and then stopped, trying to act more confident.
"Yeah, sure we can, you wanna go to that new carnival that just opened up?" Damon asked, smiling at the cheerleader, her heart was going faster.
"I'd love to!" she squeaked, she took that a yes from him.
"Great, well we've got that party on Saturday, but how does Friday night sound after school?"
"Yes, that would be great"
Could this be the start of something new?
Christy left the Locker Room as she was done getting ready, she was happy for her friend, Angie was her best friend in school and she would always stick by her. On that thought, she looked up and saw Mandy walking in, she seemed like she was in a bad mood earlier, but now looked more chirper "Hey Mandy!" she smiled and waved at her fellow cheerleader.
"Christy" Mandy walked over "Where's Angie?"
"Oh my God, you will not believe it!" Christy chirped up "Angie is asking Damon out!" Mandy's face dropped - first Johnny, now Damon, is someone gonna steal Ted away from her next?
"Well that's just great, isn't it?" Mandy said, her tone was slightly bitchy.
Christy nodded quickly and happily, she didn't even notice the change of tone in Mandy's voice "I hope they show up to Derby's party on Saturday together, how cute!" Christy chirped, Mandy rolled her eyes and pushed past her and down to the Locker Room, this made Christy stop giggling, and instead confused. Why wasn't Mandy happy for Angie?
With that, the Gym door slammed over and in stormed Zoe Taylor, Christy wasn't friends with Zoe, nor did she hate her, she kinda distanced herself from the girls since she was kicked out of the cheerleading team "Where the hell is Mandy Wiles?!" Zoe stormed in and over to Christy, she looked like she was about to hit her. With that, Wade Martin, Christy's brother, stepped down from the bleachers with another fellow Bully to keep Zoe away from Christy.
"Don't you dare put your hands on my sister!" Wade shouted in Zoe's face "Mandy literally just walked down into the Locker Room." Zoe pushed passed in the middle of the two, and they both looked at each other, following Zoe down the stairs to the Locker Room to see what the commotion was. And then, from the other side of the gym, Damon and Angie came running down, also confused at the noise.
"Mandy! Why have you been sitting telling Mr Burton that I was arguing with you, bullying you and apparently that's the reason I got kicked off this stupid cheerleading team!" Zoe shouted, Mandy wasn't threatened by her, she was too busy applying makeup in the mirror, there was a quiet moment and then she stopped and turned around to look at the angry, flaming redhead "You know for a fact that it was because I was distancing myself, I never argued with you once! The only time we argued was when you marched into my room that time, kicking me out of my Dorm Room and the Bullworth Beauties!"
"Listen Zoe, I don't know who the hell you think you're talking to sometimes, but don't come in making up lies! Yes that's the reason I kicked you off was because we drifted apart, but I never said you were arguing or shouting at me!" Mandy yelled back at her "Why does it even matter! You don't even want to be a part of my squad!"
"Because I just got fucking expelled!" Zoe yelled. Behind them - Christy, Wade, Davis, Damon and Angie gasped in shock, it was hard to get expelled here, it must've been something serious.
"How is that my fault! Maybe if you weren't acting like a bitch constantly and pushing people away, that wouldn't have happened!" Mandy moved closer to her.
"Takes one to know one Mandy!" Zoe yelled, moving even closer to her so they were only inches away, face-to-face. Damon got in the middle of the two girls. They both eventually calmed down.
"...I didn't know kicking you off would get you expelled, I don't know who told Crabblesnitch that, but it wasn't me" Mandy had calmed down, looking at Zoe's eyes.
Zoe looked at everyone and then back at Mandy, tears in her eyes "It doesn't even matter anymore, I'll see you around" she told her and then began walking out the gym.
"Zoe! Wait!" Mandy exclaimed, she was about to follow her but then stopped herself, letting out a deep sigh and then looked around at the others "What the hell you all looking at?!"
