Sooo. It's been over a month. Sorry about that, I've just been a bit stuck with this chapter and holiday session and everything but I hope you enjoy the chapter. And I've finally got a beta reader, thank you Beany, so the previous chapters will be updated in due time, and I am posting this before it is beta read, so there is a high chance of there being errors, but from the next chapter onwards, it will be beta-read before I post.

The two toured the mansion hand in hand. Harry had been surprised at how light it was inside the manor. He had expected it to be dark, and not just lighting wise. The walls were all a light beige colour with a hit of blue to them, and the lighting made it even lighter. He had also been surprised when the walls had more landscapes and still paintings rather than portraits. But then with Tom's own family history, he could understand why he chose not to use any.

Harry had been amazed by the size of the library and the large number of books, he even thought to himself that it was bigger than the Hogwarts library. Tom had laughed at his shocked look and had told him there were even more books in the so-called illegal room, the hidden room in the manor that housed all items that could land someone in prison or at least taken in for questioning. Harry had no interest in that room currently but maybe in the future, he might want to take a peek into the room.

The tour of the manor took some time, but not extremely wrong, the place had everything a wizard could want. He had been shocked to find that there was even a runes room, but then he remembered who he was with. The kitchen was amazing, and Harry was definitely going to be making use of it. Although he was surprised that Tom had made mention of any house-elves, so he was wondering how the house was maintained.

Harry fell in love with the family wing on the second floor. There were three bedrooms that were furnished with neutral colours but are still grand, and there was a nursery that was currently empty that connected to the master bedroom. The Master bedroom had left Harry speechless.

It was a sage green and grey colour that had hints of deep tones of brown from the furniture. The windows were the length of the wall and took over the entire length of the wall, there were some partitions where the room had been divided into the sleeping, lounge and wardrobe parts of the room. However, the room was still open. The sleeping area was on the east side of the room and where the door to the nursery was. There was a large four-poster bed that easily fit a king-sized bed. The lounge area consisted of a love seat, two armchairs and a coffee table and there was a decent-sized fireplace along the wall that separated the area from the bed.

The walk-in wardrobe was bigger than the size of the bedroom at the flat, and Harry didn't know how many clothes were needed to fill it. The master bathroom was off to the side of the changing area. The bathroom cut into the space of another bedroom but due to expansion charms, you couldn't tell that the bedroom was smaller. Tom had renovated the bathroom, so it had a bit more of a muggle touch, but it still had the original claw bathtub that could easily fit two people. But there was a double shower, meaning they could both be in there and have space and their own showerhead.

Harry was completely in love with the manor, and they hadn't even been out to the garden because the weather had taken a turn for the worst while they were touring the inside.
"Do you have any house-elves?" Harry asked as he lounged in their room as Tom unpacked all of his clothes. He had offered to do it himself, but he was told no very firmly.
"There used to be house elves, but they didn't belong to me, and the one I do have under my care was busy in the gardens but knowing him he is probably in the kitchens now." Tom said not stopping from what he was doing.

"So, you currently have one house-elf taking care of the house."

"Yes."

"Don't you see a problem with that?" Tom stopped what he was doing and turned to Harry. He could have used magic to sort everything out, but some things felt better when you did it without magic.

"I've never owned more than one, and my followers would always lend me theirs, until I kicked them all out. And I honestly thought you would be against it."

"I'm against people abusing their helpers, not against them having them, that's Hermione."

"I had thought of hiring people to upkeep the manor, and just keep my house elf for the more sensitive work."

"Why would you hire other wizards, wouldn't that be putting yourself at risk of being exposed or harmed."

"I thought of hiring squibs from families that kicked them out, giving them a job where they don't feel like they have to hide where they come from."

"Oh, I don't see anything wrong with that. I was only concerned about having a single elf looking after the entire place."

"While I'm sure he would be appreciative of the concern, he has told me multiple times that he is enough."

"So, when do I get to meet your house-elf?" Harry asked getting up from his seat and hugging Tom.

"When I'm finished here, otherwise he'll just do it in a snap of his fingers." Tom said returning the hug and placing his chin on top of Harry's head. They stayed like that for a while.

Tom thought of how easy everything seemed to be with Harry, and although it scared him, he was embracing this relationship. He believed that Harry was his saving grace for him, and not in the sense that Harry would fix him, but that he would keep him on track from his past mistakes. And that they would walk the long road of creating a family together, even if neither of them had thought their lives would turn out this way. However, he wouldn't change anything in the world for what they had. He did regret everything he had down in the past, but hindsight is the best sight there is.

Tom reached for Harry's chin and lifted his face, giving him a gentle kiss before releasing him and busying himself with Harry's clothes.

"Can't you just do this with magic!" Harry laughed at Tom.

"I could, I definitely could just magic everything into place, but I'm doing it this way because it's cementing you moving in with me, into our manor now. That this is the start of many good things to come."

"I never took the Dark Lord for a romantic." Harry chuckled, as did Tom.

"I guess that you'll be the only one to know this side of me then." Tom grinned at Harry.

Harry decided to help out regardless of what Tom had said earlier and they were able to finish up quickly. They made their way into the kitchen to get something to eat. Harry was finally able to meet Tom's house-elf Zophy, who was a lot younger than what he was expecting.

The weekend had passed smoothly despite Harry spending the whole of Sunday morning leaning over the toilet bowl, morning sickness was something he hadn't really experienced over the last weeks. It was now Monday, and he was due to meet with Narcissa this afternoon, but he wasn't up for it as he hadn't been able to eat anything in the morning, and now Tom had left to go and find a food that he was craving but had never eaten, only smelt in passing. While he was feeling guilty about it, he also thought that Tom deserved it for making him this way.

Tom came back defeated half an hour after Narcissa had left. They had shared some small talk, but Harry had been in an otherwise mood. He was missing going to Hogwarts but being pissed off at Dumbledore that he had shed angry tears as he vented off to her. She had taken it in all her stride, and they had laughed at the end of it. Tom was grateful that Harry was no longer craving whatever food he had wanted, and that Zophy had at least seemed to have fed him something that he enjoyed.

Harry had spent the rest of the week mainly in the library reading and studying the stuff that Tom had put together for him. He was thankful that there was a small study that could only be accessed through the library, this was the place that Tom always seemed to find him. Tom had also gotten around to adding Harry into the wards in his office that held a panic room that could also be used to escape the manor.

Life seemed to be going pretty well for the two, the baby was growing healthy, and they were falling for each other even more as the days passed by. Although things were going to change soon, not drastically, but Dumbledore was growing restless as his precious weapon had run away and was pregnant with another man, and he had no idea who it was. He tried to tell the order that the baby inside of Harry would only suck away at the boy's magic, leaving him defenceless. However, was there every step of the way discrediting what the old coot said about Harry and his baby. Saying it was a miracle that had to have been blessed by Lady Magic, otherwise, there should have been no way that he could be with a child.

Hope you enjoyed it, and yes the chapter ending is alluding to something happening, what, I have no clue yet, as I said, I'm a bit stuck with this story, and while I know what I want to happen, it's only the bones of the story, and I need to figure out the stuff in between my main points.
