HOWDY FELLAS!
Apologies for the late update- I've been busy with some school stuff this month as well as being a bit lazy in my writing schedules. But don't worry, I'm not abandoning the story, I'm just lazy.
Now I won't bother you so I'll just leave the details at the end of the chapter.
Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy this short chapter!

Across the land of Eostia, there are seven city-fortresses that are well-known due to being under the jurisdiction of ' The Seven Princess Knights' alliance, an alliance forged to defeat the demonic forces and their 'Queen of Darkness' in the north. Most of the city-fortresses are ruled by each Princess, some being exceptions.
The main city-fortress and capital of the Alliance is Eahvine, the ruler being the leader of the Alliance and known as the 'Reincarnated Goddess'; Celestine Lucross, a high elf who has been reborn centuries ago. A being, who's soul contains a part of the Great Goddess, to be reincarnated into a certain individual after death under mortal means.
Strangely enough, the chosen being is always a female of any race; A human, a dwarf, a half-ling, or an elf, with the High Elves being the most common race to achieve the 'Reincarnated Goddess' title and soul.
Midnight has fallen over Eahvine with most of its residents asleep in their homes except for the occasional drunkards and night-shift guards on the lookout for any potential threats beyond and behind the mighty walls of all of the districts of Eahvine.
In the middle of Eahvine is a large and wide castle that is so white and clean, you would think it was made of the finest building materials and constantly cleaned each day just so it's spotless. It's tall length made room for multiple rooms with towers acting as guard towers or dungeons.
But inside one of the castle rooms is a large bedroom with an extravagant bed with ruffled sheets but no individual sleeping on it. However, the door leading to the small balcony of the room is open, showing off a long-haired blonde female with curvy hips and large F-Cup breasts only to be somewhat covered by a silk robe to protect her decency.
This beautiful woman looked down to the city below with her green emerald eyes, watching the empty streets yet she looks... out of focus
She closes her eyes, letting out a shivering sigh in the process- The reason why she was out on the balcony is due to a nightmare that woke her up from her sleep.
'I doubt it's just a nightmare, though...'
This nightmare she experienced looks more... real and detailed than a mere dream. The images, the sounds, the feelings she felt during the nightmare, it felt like she was there in the flesh... Like a vision.
'Is it a vision? I haven't had a vision since the beginning of this war'
The first and, supposed, last vision she had was centuries ago; Months before the beginning of the century-spanned war. Images appeared before her eyes, showcasing the incoming invasion of the demonic hordes from the north; led by her more dark-skinned brethren, the Dark Elves.
Luckily, she was able to warn her father who mustered a large enough force to face this threat head-on.
But the vision she just had was almost the same, if not more intense since it felt like she was there...
Celestia grimaced as her brain recalled the vision in her head, replaying like a crystal message.
The fire was the first thing she saw outside her castle- Each building she sees is in blazes, so numerous that she could even smell the burning wood from her throne room balcony.
They had broken through the gates!
Looking away from the burning houses, she saw her valiant troops fighting desperately to keep the demonic foes away but they often got overpowered or outnumbered. Orcs brute-forcing through their ranks while crushing them with their crude weapons, Imps attacking from the flanks and stabbing them or slashing them with their claws and... Humans? Even fellow Elves and other demi-races were joining the monsters in their pillaging and slaughtering of her people.
What?! But why?! Why would they join them!?
Unable to ponder it further, she looked away from the soldiers fighting for their lives to the common folk running for safety but most being caught before they could reach the safety of her castle.
The civilians that weren't protected by her forces were either slain mercilessly or bound into chains or raped on the spot. She sees a mother and daughter having their garments ripped apart as the monsters... and their allies proceeded to rape them to their heart's content, uncaring of the screams and cries of the two.
It was horrifying and sickening, her face fell from such acts that it almost made her puke. She has seen death, even brought death to her enemies, seen the aftermaths and effects of forced sex but to see them all on a large scale right in front of her like a cocktail was...
It scared her...
No, she's the Reincarnated Goddess- She needs, has to be, stronger than this!
Shaking her head while her thoughts reassure her, Celestia turned to the front doors of her throne room- Intent on going outside to find her commander in chief; Claudia Leventine, whom she heard to be organizing the defense of the Eahvine to drive out the invaders from a passing messenger hours ago.
After walking a few steps, the doors to her throne room burst open- Leaving nothing but scraps of wood of what once was her entrance to the room. Seconds later, monsters and their allies- mostly humans, it seems- fill into the large throne room, making a half-circle formation with their weapons facing towards her.
She was shocked, how did they get in?! Where are her Royal Guards? How did they even pass through Claudia's barricade around the castle?
Some of Celestia's mental questions were answered through the sounds of painful groans and clashing beyond the formation in front of her. It seems her Royal Guards were slaughtered or fighting to the last man.
Looking back to the small force facing her way, despite outnumbering her, they still kept their distance but all of them wore disgusting perverted grins as their eyes roamed her body.
Their roaming eyes made her shiver in disgust and fear before steeling herself for combat.
Taking her brief shiver as a sign of weakness, they all charged her at the same time, hoping their numbers and wave tactics would overpower the Reincarnated Goddess in front of them. Once they deal with her, they will take their sweet time enjoying her body in victory of taking out the leader of the Alliance!
However, she wasn't regarded as the 'Reincarnated Goddess' for nothing!
She held out her hand, white particles surrounding as a word followed afterward "Light Burst!"
Hundreds of materialized light shards formed above her, making the enemy widen their eyes as their expressions of perverted desires turned into shocked dread for a moment before the shards launched towards their targets, piercing each foe with multiple shards in an instant before it immediately disappeared.
Their in-motion bodies instantly dropped to the floor, their bodies unmoving with empty large holes in vital areas such as the chest and stomach. Most of them dead with few clinging to life before succumbing to their wounds moments later.
Celestia cringed at her dead enemies, despite seeing death multiple times she will never be used to it due to her pacifistic nature. She will try to use diplomacy first, violence second but she knows these monsters will never listen to reason.
Her magic senses were tingling, lifting her head to look for the sources but not being quick enough to avoid the purple bolt hitting her.
She screamed in pain as the bolt's effects made her skin feel like it was on fire before it quickly went away. Panting, Celestia looked up again to see three new figures, although they were covered in darkness like they were hiding from her.
The figure in front, whom she assumes to be the leader, is very tall, dwarfing the other two, with a muscled figure.
The two smaller figures are almost the same height with the only difference between the two is that one is wielding a curved dagger while the other is holding onto a golden staff with a purple gem encased on the top.
'Wait... I know that staff! It's...!'
That's the Queen of Darkness' personal staff! But how did they get it? She wouldn't let it be wielded by the very race that she seeks to destroy unless...
She was also defeated?
The thought diminished her courage, to think that her longtime foe was defeated that her enemies were using her own staff...
Suddenly, her throat was grabbed, her windpipe forcibly closed as the large figure was lifting her up- Making Celestia grab onto the hand that was choking in a feeble attempt of freeing herself
This act made the figure who grabbed laugh, despite having no features that indicate this but she knows that it is laughing at her, mocking her pathetic retaliations.
Celestia attempted her magic to blast her captors but her body just made her feel the same burn earlier when the purple bolt hit her
'Magik Seal?'
That sounds like the most logical explanation but most magik sealing techniques wouldn't work on her unless...
The staff!
As if sensing her realization, the figure brought her closer to him, their faces so close that she can feel the figure's breath
The figure appears to be talking down to her but she can't hear them, she can't see its mouth moving, she can't even hear its voice!
Unable to continue, she flopped her arms back to her sides- Losing hope as tears sting her eyes, closing them as if hoping this wasn't a dream
Celestia felt defeated, her mind began to recall what she did that amounted up to this
'Where did I go wrong? Am I not strong enough or did I trust the wrong people?'
These thoughts occupied her mind before she felt a large hand grabbing her robes, her eyes open in alarm and desperation.
"No! Please don't! I beg of you!"
Her cries of mercy went unheard as she felt her robe beginning to tear, slowly revealing the rest of her body to this... monster in the skin of man.
'Anyone... Anything...Save us... Save my people...Save me!'
An eagle cry from above answered her pleas
Celestia's teary eyes looked up to see a white-hooded figure descending onto the two smaller figures, hands forming into a claw of sorts reminding the Goddess of an eagle striking its prey from above with its claws
The white figure landed unto both it's unsuspecting victims, making them fall to the ground without resistance as the hooded entity raised himself back up, black liquid dripping from… blades attached under his wrists?
The hooded figure sheathed his blades as he threw a throwing knife into the large figure's arm that was holding her up- Resulting in having her body released as the black shape seemed to be grunting in pain, she assumes.
Gasping, she braces herself but instead of feeling the hard floor from her fall, she feels her body landing in something soft yet firm.
Celestia looks up to see the white hooded figure holding her bridal style. Did this person save her?
The Reincarnated Goddess attempted to peer closer under the hood to see her savior's face. Unfortunately, just like the three black figures, her savior's face is also featureless.
Yet… She feels like her savior is smiling down at her, comforting her as it slowly placed unto the floor. It's gloved hand caressing her cheek, sending shivers down her spine. The good kind, that is.
The hooded figure drew back the gloved hand as it faced the remaining dark figure in the room who had the time to remove the knife that was stuck in it's arm. Celestia felt the dark figure's hatred towards the white one, drawing a bastard sword which made the hooded figure to do the same; Drawing a simple yet elegant sword with a strange A symbol embedded on its curved handle
Celestia looked to her savior and her enemy, ready to clash in an epic battle to the death. Closing her eyes in prayer, praying to the Great Mother to help her white hooded savior win this battle.
Once she opened her eyes again though, she did not see the light and dark figure ready to fight but her bedroom's ceiling. She was out of breath as her arms were shaking for some unknown reason. Celestia only had one thought after that whole experience
'What… was that?'
That's what her first thought after she woke up from that terrible dream. She had no intention of passing off her recent dream as a mere nightmare. Hence her intentions of being out on the balcony to clear her mind.
No… Not nightmare- It has to be a vision, she can't explain but she knows it is a vision in the future.
Then that means…
A gasp escaped her, the images of the city in the vision and the current time were very similar if not the same so the horrible events that will occur is bound to happen soon.
The thought made her determined in stopping it, clenching her fist.
'But who were they?'
Four figures were there, one was large and had a large bastard sword for a weapon while two were smaller in the frame; armed with a dagger and a staff of the Queen of Darkness. That makes the Queen of Darkness an instant innocent in her little mental guessing game. Knowing her, she would rather die than work with humans.
Those weren't very good evidence to catch the three ringleaders if they even are the ringleaders! Many individuals she knows fit the descriptions so trying to find them with this little bit of information is like trying to find a needle in a haystack which is nearly impossible.
However, the fourth figure was different…
The white hooded individual who saved her- Unlike the darkness that surrounded the three which she sensed greed, bloodlust, and primarily Lust. She sensed good, serenity, and the willingness to protect.
Thinking about the white hooded figure and the emotions she felt during her vision, solidified her decision.
'I must find this mysterious figure- Perhaps he or she can help me… I should also inform Claudia and the other Princesses as well but what do I say to help them identify the figure…'
Ah!
The blades under their wrists as well as the odd A symbol embedded in the sword!
Nodding to herself, she remains in the balcony to ease her state of mind and rehearse the needed words for the eventual meeting tomorrow. Right before she steps back in her bedroom to go back to sleep, she sees a distant lightning storm to the west.
Such sight made her flinch at the potential bad omen
Hopefully, she can stop this before it starts.
== We Work in the Darkness, To Serve the Light ==
To the west of the Alliance's Territory lay many forests accompanied by the different types of wildlife that live there, making them the perfect hunting grounds for meat and skins or wood gathering due to the strong trees that grow in the area.
Deeper into the forests is a small patch of an empty plot with a stream right beside it and trees surrounding it. Small game animals such as deers, squirrels, beavers, etc tend to go here to rest and take a drink from the stream.
However, another object seems to have caught the nearby animals' attention; Right beside the stream is a human body clothed in white robes with red vertical accents all over it armed with several weapons. A group of deers and the critters in the trees stare at the unmoving body before one brave chipmunk decides to get a closer look.
Gary the Chipmunk descended from the tree he was perched on, he lived a peaceful if not boring life in the woods. Wake up, eat some acorns, drink some water from the stream then go out to find more food to hoard in his little home.
He often socializes with his neighbors but he tends to keep to his own. Now, something interesting has happened in his parts of the woods!
A humie appeared right after the scary storm last night- It was like Mother Nature herself brought down this humie to this land. Of course, despite the humie being asleep, he was still afraid of such gigantic beings since he has seen several of them hunting his fellow chipmunks in the north. It was sad to see his brethren die but it was the cycle of life he lived in.
Now though, he had the opportunity of seeing a humie up close and not so far away. His little paws bring him closer to the unmoving body, climbing up the arms as he stops right at this person's face.
'Hah! I am Gary the Chipmunk, Slayer of Humies! This stupid humie is but an example for the rest!' Gary the Chipmunk thought to himself smugly.
Confidently, he placed a paw on the stupid humie's face before the humie's eyes suddenly opened!
"Eek!" Gary the Chipmunk squeaked as he jumped off and ran back to the safety of his home, already regretting getting close to the humie cause that was just scary!
The other animals proceeded to follow Gary the Chimpunk's example and ran away- The deers are using their legs to sprint away, the other chipmunk hide in the holes of their trees, while the birds just remained perched on the higher levels of the trees.
Ezio Auditore felt like he went through several drinks of beers with the mercenaries then went for a few rounds of fist fighting with said mercenaries before getting knocked out with a pan from his wife.
Don't ask him why he described this feeling like that- It's a story for another time.
"Agh… That little trip was something more than I expected." Nonetheless, his head was killing him at the moment. His left hand was holding his forehead while the other searched his belt for a waterskin. Feeling the leather material, he grabbed his waterskin and drank from it, his throat quenched for the moment as his headache was slowly going away.
'Wait…'
He immediately stopped drinking as he looked at the waterskin, seeing it as if it were an alien item. He did NOT carry a waterskin, at least not after his retirement, before he felt the foreign yet familiar clothing that he is wearing.
Looking down on his person, he's not wearing the clothes when he died but rather white robes; Assassin Robes. It was his father's Assassin Robes: The robes were worn over the clothing he used to wear back in Firenze, the white with red accents complete with a red sash wrapped around his stomach with the Assassin Symbol acting as a belt goes really nicely with the Florence noble outfit he used to wear. The robes were slightly longer in the back, acting like a tailcoat of sorts while the front showed off the noble pants and leather greaves he's wearing. Complete with the open section in the upper part to show off his part of his neck and chest, a leather spaulder was on his left shoulder with a black cape that had the color red under it attached to said spaulder.
And lastly, he sees that both of his hands are equipped with a hidden blade; The left hidden blade being the same that his father used and Leonardo fixed, while the right is hidden under a leather vambrace with the hand in a leather glove- Like how Leonardo designed.
He never really explained the reason why he told him to add a leather glove to his right hand but not do the same for his left hand as well.
After admiring the familiar outfit and his lost hidden blades since the Siege of Monteriggioni, bless Uncle Mario wherever he is in the afterlife, that loveable uncle, he stood up from the soft grassy floor as he felt… rejuvenated! He sees that his ungloved hand lacked any wrinkles. Curious, he placed a hand on his face to see that it lacked any wrinkles as well!
Looking around as he set his eyes on the stream of water he conveniently laid beside, he approached to peer into the water only to be shocked at the face that reflected towards him.
"Whoa…" He muttered out loud, his voice slightly higher that was familiar to him.
It was his face but rather than the old wrinkled face that he used to see in the mirror, the water reflected his face that was much younger.
'Looks like Venus reverted my age back to my twenties… According to the little stubble on my chin, I'm guessing I'm twenty-five again…'
It was astonishing… He was relieved and happy to be back in his younger years again, not to be bogged down by old age and the chest pains.
However, there is one thing that made him frown.
"Gah… Couldn't she just let my beard stay?" Ezio said, annoyed at Venus for taking away his, quote on quote, 'sexy beard'
Feeling his chin, he felt naked without his signature beard. Back then, Claudia often told him to shave off the little bush on his face, saying it made him look like a homeless man, but he preserved, feeling like it belonged there. Eventually, his sister gave up and did admit that the beard did give off some sort of appeal.
His wife surely enjoyed it as well as the Courtesans back in Roma. So it was a win for him.
Checking his younger face for a while, he stood back up to scan his surroundings- It seems he was in a forest of some kind and there were no signs of human contact from where he was.
Ezio checked his pouches for some sort of map that Venus might have left him but to no luck.
He let out a sigh, admitting to himself that he had no idea where he was nor did he have a map to navigate to the nearest sign of human civilization.
Venus already gave him his father's lost Assassin robes but she didn't bother to give him a map?
Ezio swore he heard a faint feminine 'Oopsie~' somewhere above him but paid it no mind.
He checked his outfit to see what he carried with him and to say he was armed, was putting it lightly.
In his pouches contained fifteen bottles of medicine and poisons each, along with ten bullets plus the gunpowder and five smoke bombs. Ezio checked underneath his left hidden blade to see the hidden wheel-lock gun and poison inject still installed.
On his belt carried the holsters for twenty throwing knives as well as a normal-sized one-edge knife near his back holster.
His main weapon though was the Sword of Altair, he briefly took out the sword as he gave it a few swings to test it out before nodding to himself, satisfied as he sheathed it once more.
'Grazie Venus for giving me these gifts in my journey' He mentally thanked the Immortal Isu to strangely feel a warm sensation in his mind briefly before it went away.
'Was that her?' He thought to himself before looking around to find a high vantage point.
The now young Assassin saw a very tall tree that seemed sturdy enough to support his weight with some climbing steps to help his climbing.
Walking close to the tree, Ezio stretched out the kinks in his new body- Ever since his retirement, he's all but abandoned the act of free-running due to his old age; Something that made him a bit depressed due to it being the only few things that reminded him of his dead family, especially his older brother Federico, the one who taught him how to climb in the first place.
Now with him being young again, perhaps for the last time, he can experience the climbing he has been taught, refined, and mastered over the years. The only thing he's worried about is that, does this new body remember the muscle memory of such skills?
'Only way to find out' Ezio thought to himself as he slowly climbed the tree in front of him, which was the size of a Borgia Tower surprisingly. How did some of the trees grow that big?!
Step by step, his body moved fluidly as if he never missed a day of free-running in his life. Smirking as he took it to the next level, he began to climb faster; His feet and hands, stepping and grabbing onto any ledge he can find as he felt the rush of climbing once more!
After a few minutes of climbing, he eventually reached the highest point of the tree; Looking down, his lips tilted downwards for a moment 'Hmm… Looks I'm still a bit rusty'
Despite the unfamiliarity of climbing trees, he was confident of climbing any climbable object as fast as possible but it seems he was still slow.
'It's to be expected though… It's been so long since I've climbed or free-ran anything after retiring.'
After criticizing himself and determined to improve his skills up to par, he began to scan the area around him- Trees were the only thing that he saw to his right, same with the direction behind him but the stream appears to be coming from there, perhaps a river maybe? But he does see a few buildings very far to the left.
However, he does see a clear path in front of him- No trees or streams, only empty space as if it were… a road? But it seems to be a fair distance away from his current location.
"Hmm…"
He shrugged, seeing that he had no other clue other than the buildings that looked to a far distance to his left. He glanced below to see if there's anywhere to cushion his fall, fortunately, there appears to be a very big pile of leaves right below.
This is another thing he hasn't done for so long- A leap of faith. Thinking of doing it again back in his old state would have broken him or gave his chest infection a jumpstart in killing him sooner. This time though...
Ezio closed his eyes, shutting his sight as he slowed down his breathing as he braced himself to do the ability that every Assassin must be able to do, no matter what.
'Breath in…'
'Breath out'
"Aahhhh…"
As the reincarnated Assassin let out a deep breath, his brown eyes opened once more with a small smirk forming on his face that oozes not arrogance but confidence.
Not a moment sooner, Ezio leaped into the air- Forming the signature Eagle stance as he left himself to the hands of faith and air around him, feeling his body fall yet he did not fear.
He never did.
== Let us not be Arrogant but humble ourselves instead ==
Once Ezio landed in the big pile of leaves that cushioned his fall, he still felt adrenaline in his veins so he decided to use the trees to travel to his location as well as get used to 'Tree-running' in his mind.
Perhaps his skill will come in handy one day, better to experience it than not at all.
After a few minutes of tree-running, his adrenaline finally simmered down to allow him a calm state of mind- This calmness made him think of the goal that the Immortal Isu gave him.
'Despite asking for my help, she didn't actually tell me how to stop this upcoming war that'll enslave every woman on this planet to be sex slaves.' Thinking of such a fate did not sit right with him. Maybe it's because of the love for the women in his life and the teaching of the Creed that made him feel like this.
Nonetheless, though, no one should bear such a fate- Not even his worst enemies.
'Venus did tell me that we'll meet in my dreams… I wonder how that works but she is an Immortal who is capable of traveling through worlds and reversing time so maybe common logic won't apply here'
His line of thought was broken to something wooden breaking followed up with a scream.
His thoughts put aside, he began to speed up to the origin of the sound. Hoping he wasn't too late
After a minute of fast tree-running, he stopped on one of the sturdy branches that were close to the commotion.
Said commotion was a small cart being attacked by six male bandits, who were barely armored other than the fur on their shoulders, using their crude axes and swords to take down three individuals who appeared to be guarding the cart. With one dead body near the back of the cart.
Two of the individuals wore leather armor and used swords, a boy and a girl- Both are very young and redheads, not seemingly above 16 if he guessed. They were clashing against three of the bandits, panting and slightly shaking during their conflict.
The third individual was another girl similar to the previous two's age but she had a cloak around her while using a knife to defend herself against two of the bandits, a broken crossbow laid beside her.
Seeing that the cloaked girl needed more help than the other two, he jumped right above the two unsuspecting bandits as his hidden blades activated right before he landed on the two.
His hands felt the liquid he was so familiar with along with the coppery smell; Blood. His air assassination was a success, his two hidden blades piercing the two unmoving bandits on the ground, one was stabbed through the neck while the other had his skull pierced with his blade.
Giving no extra thought to the lives he just recently took, he looked up to see the cloaked girl, green eyes were shocked at his sudden air entrance yet so fearful, maybe because he's an unknown?
Ezio gave the shocked girl a smirk before he suddenly rushed towards the three remaining bandits that didn't notice the deaths of their comrades nor his sudden entrance.
Readying himself, his blades were still activated as he thrust his hands into the backs of the two very surprised bandits.
"W-What th-!" One of the bandits muttered out loud before blood dripped from his lips, feeling a blade piercing his heart as his eyes rolled into the back of his head with his fellow stabbed bandit doing the same.
Ezio deactivated his hidden blades as he quickly followed up with a throwing knife right at the remaining wide eye bandit's throat.
He heard gurgling as he saw the bandit's body stumbled towards him shakily, desperate to get a hit on him as he held his severely bleeding neck with the throwing knife sticking out.
Unfortunately, he didn't even make it three steps before dropping to his knees as he felt his life leaving his body, unmoving forever.
The reborn Assassin let out a sigh, wishing peace to the dead bandits that he killed. He went back into his neutral stance before turning around to see three wide-eyed younglings staring at him in awe and fear.
Ignoring the stares, he asked the most obvious question any professional or kind person should ask after a dangerous situation.
"Are you okay?"
And that's about it! Thanks for reaching the end of the chapter, right below are my thoughts and details while I was writing this chapter.
When I wrote this chapter, I was very conflicted about what kind of outfit that Ezio will wear; It was either the AC2 Outfit (Giovanni's Robes) or the Roman Robes in AC Brotherhood. Both were very good-looking but I had to choose the AC2 outfit for the now young Ezio cause the Roman Robes don't really fit a young Ezio nor the land he is in. Plus, AC2 Outfit looks the most practical out of the two. Not the Revelations outfit though cause that just doesn't make any sense and it doesn't really fit.
And the thoughts of having his beard or leaving left me perplexed. I think bearded and non-beard Ezio is good but I'm leaning more on the non-beard for younger Ezio for these early chapters but I am gonna bring back the beard later in the Fanfiction, cause I wanna write the reactions to his 'sexy beard'.
I'm also gonna have Ezio changed outfits later in the fanfic just to change things up as well as to have him adjust to each situation per se. If you guys have any suggestions or tips on what you want Ezio to wear, leave a Review or PM for the details.
Please give me your thoughts or criticism so I can improve my writing and world-building better. I really wanna flesh out Ezio and other characters some more but I'm a bit of an amateur when it comes to that but I will do my best.
Flames or trolls will be ignored so don't even bother.
Anyway, thank you again for reading and I hope you're looking forward to the next chapter! (Which is like weeks away...)
