Chapter 4
Five years later, Age twelve
I slammed my hand on the snooze button on the alarm way too hard, breaking it. My little brother groaned and buried his face into my stomach. I ran my fingers gently through his long, soft hair.
"Oi, Haru-chan, time to get up."
His response was to pretend to still be asleep.
"Haruto. Oi! Eh, whatever."
"..."
Fine. Be that way. Don't come whining me when you only have five minutes to get ready. I unwrapped his arms from around me and sat up. I looked through the window at the sunrise for a second before getting up to find some clothes and going into the bathroom to get ready. I was finally a ninja. First step to killing Danzo. It's not revenge. Ok maybe it is. He needs to die, even if it means going to Orochimaru to get the power to do so. (Stop saying that, you're only hurting yourself.)
I allowed a small smile on my face as I finished tying my headband. I actually did it. I was officially a ninja. I also kinda (not really) tamed my hair. It was in a long ponytail, reaching a little past my hips. I guess I should tell you what my outfit looks like, while I'm at it. A long sleeve, navy blue high collared shirt with my clan symbol on the back with black sweatpants. I didn't actually have an outfit for missions yet. Ino-chan said she was going to take me shopping for one though. I only agreed because Hina-chan was coming along with us. She's the only one who can control her.
"Holy crap, I'm late!" Haru-chan shouted as he fell out of the bed, now completely wide awake. Then he glared at me. "Why didn't you wake me up."
"I tried." 'That's what you get for not going to bed on time.'
"Really?"
"Yep."
"Oh." Then he suddenly remembered that he was late and rushed into the bathroom. Cute kid. He was now five and had just started the academy. I laughed at him.
"Oi! It's not funny!"
Knock, knock
"You don't have to knock, ya know!" I yelled at the door.
"Hehe, I forgot 'ttebayo." Naruto rubbed the back of his head sheepishly with an embarrassed grin on his face. (It seems that his mother actually did drill manners into him.) I smiled. It was impossible not to smile around him, his smiles were contagious.
"Naruto-nii!" Haru crashed into Naruto, almost knocking the both of them over. The kid had more physical strength than me, when it came to tackling people. Naruto ruffled his hair while Haru pouted.
"Chill out, Haru." Haru had more energy than Naruto, if it was possible. Haru then ran over to me and gave me a hug.
"Nee-chan?" He looked up at me with those adorable puppy eyes. Oh no. Not those eyes. "Can I have a piggy pack ride."
Unable to resist his adorableness, I sighed before kneeling down so he could climb onto my back. Spoiled kid. Kushina and Minato spoiled him way to much and it wasn't even funny. Before he started the academy he would stay at their house all day while I went to the academy. He was the most adorable kid ever, which meant all he had to do was pull out those puppy eyes, and he had anyone in the world under his thumb. He could get almost anything he wanted.
"Thanks, Nee-chan." He said with the most adorable grin.
"Yeah, yeah." I huffed, ignoring Naruto who was laughing at us, and started walking in the direction of the academy.
We were one of the first to make it to the classroom.
"Satomi-chan~!" Ino called out, waving at me.
"Yo." I waved back. She ran over and gave me a hug and started babbling about random things while I tried to keep up with what she was saying.
"-and I've missed you so much. It's been forever since I've last seen you."
"I saw you less than twenty-four hours ago." I deadpanned.
She pouted. "But it felt like it's been forever."
"That's not the same." I explained as we walked to the desks.
"Now that I'm officially a ninja, I'm one step closer to becoming the Hokage." Naruto grinned. I nervously looked around as my fanclub (yes I do have one, some canon things never change ;c) was glaring jealously at him. Why? Because he was sitting on my desk right in front of me. And I didn't know how to tell him to move without sounding rude.
"Nani?!" Some dude accidentally pushed Naruto.
And I swiftly avoided that with the art of substitution. Phew, I'm safe.
"Team seven, Uzumaki Naruto, Haruno Sachi, Uchiha Satomi. Team eight..."
Naruto and I grinned. The fanclub glared at Sachi with jealousy. Sachi. One of the people in the fanclub. Why? What did I do to deserve this? At least he wasn't useless. If he really tried, he could keep up with me in a taijutsu spar. And when he's using his brain instead of being a fanboy he's smart. Smarter than me actually. He even had his own fanclub. Not that it's anything to be proud of. Fanclubs are creepy.
Pretty soon we were the only ones left in the classroom. Stupid Bakashi, being late like that. Naruto still pulled pranks, but not as much because of Kushina-san so, he wasn't going to prank Bakashi-sensei. But that's ok, because I would. I stood up, bringing the attention of my two teammates. I then walked over to the blackboard and picked up the eraser. I pulled out a bottle of itching power from my pocket, sprinkling some onto the eraser. I grabbed a chair so I could wedge the eraser in the top of the door.
"S-Satomi-chan I don't think you should do that." Sachi stuttered, running his hands through his pink hair.
"Hn." 'Just try and stop me.'
"A jounin wouldn't fall for something like that." Naruto said, having a lot more common sense than he did in canon.
"Naruto?"
"Yes?"
"Shut up."
Kakashi chose this moment to walk in, causing the eraser to fall onto his head. I burst out laughing. Why? It was funny.
"Ha! I told you it would work!" I said in between snickers. I doubled over and fell on the floor from how hard I was laughing.
"I-I'm sorry, Sensei!" Sachi stammered, still trying to be on Sensei's good side. It was useless, even I knew that. Kakashi-sensei wanted nothing to with us, and it was obvious by the calm but irritated look on his face.
Sensei bent down and picked up the eraser, examining it, eye twitching when he realize how much chalk dust was on it. "How can I put this? As for my first impression of you guys...? Well, I hate you."
The feelings neutral, Bakashi-sensei.
He stared at me with minor killing intent. I shuddered.
"Did I say that out loud?"
"Yep."
"Oh."
Review. Please. I beg of you. Thanks for reading.
