"Kids, another dinosaur has just appeared," Dr. Taylor called as the kids filtered into the main room of the D-Lab. Ren bolted over to the map to locate the blinking, red dot.
"Found it," Ren said with her finger on the dot. "Moscow, Russia."
"Now, that's a place I'd like to go see," Dr. Taylor told the kids. "Mainly to ride the Trans-Siberian railway."
"The Trans-Si what?" Max asked.
"Do you know?" Zoe asked Ren.
"Of course! The Trans-Siberian railway is the longest railroad in the world! It stretches practically across the whole country of Russia," Ren informed.
"Yeah, it's almost 6,000 miles long," Rex added.
"We should ride it!" Max said enthusiastically.
"Yeah! That could be really awesome!" Zoe jumped in.
"Just think about all the stuff we'd see!" said Max.
"Hang on," Rex said with a chuckle. "Remember, we're going there for a dinosaur, not a vacation."
"There's also the aurora. The famous light show called the Northern Lights," Dr. Taylor said as he closed he eyes, imagining the lights. "If you're lucky, you may see a dinosaur under those lights, shining in brilliant colors. Dinosaurs and the Aurora Borealis? That does it! I'm coming too!"
"They've already left, Doctor," Reese stated right as the teleporter was winding down after transporting the kids.
Meanwhile on Zeta Point, Ursula is enjoying having some down time since Helga's recent return to the island. However, Zander and Ed weren't getting much of a break since Ursula ordered them to fan her with palm leaves and shine her shoes. Despite the housemaid's return, something has been off about her. Her whole personality and demeanor have changed since coming back to Zeta Point.
"Now that Helga's back to doing the housework around here," Ursula began before popping a potato chip into her mouth. "I can now go back to during what I do best which is living like the princess that I am!"
Ed looked up from shining Ursula's shoes and said, "Yeah, but Helga's been acting really strangely lately."
"She's kinda scaring me now," Zander added.
"Oh, what's she doing to do?" Ursula asked, picking up the remote to the TV sitting in front of her. "Vacuum you up?" Ursula hit the power button on the remote. "Oh! It's my show!" The green-haired lady said upon seeing her favorite television show playing on the screen.
"Mess. Messy," Helga said in a monotone voice upon barging into the room with a vacuum and began to clean the floors. "Everywhere I look I see big mess," Helga moved the vacuum up to put it on Ursula's face.
Throughout the day, Helga made several more instances of messing up a job that she used to do perfectly. One instance involved Helga picking up Ursula and flinging her over a clothesline. Another instance involved serving food that was so spicy that Ursula, Zander, and Ed all practically felt like they were breathing fire.
"Tell me this is just a bad dream," Ursula mumbled.
"More like a nightmare," Ed suggested.
"Helga came back more violent than before," Zander said. The door to the room that the trio were convening in slid open and Rod and Laura stepped through.
"Helga just pulled the plug on our computers and told us to go outside and play rather than studying," Rod told the trio.
"Helga would never say something like that," Laura added. "It's like she's an entirely different person." Suddenly, Ursula's Alpha Scanner began beeping to alert to there being a new dinosaur.
"Hey Seth, check it out. A new dinosaur's just appeared," Gabriel said, looking up at the holographic screen with the world map and the blinking dot as he carried a box of spare parts across Seth's lab. Seth turned his head from his research and looked up at the screen.
"Moscow, Russia," Seth informed. Gabriel set the box of parts down on the floor.
"Russia's always been on my bucket list. Want me to grab the two other scanners and give them to Rod and Laura and head out?" Gabriel asked.
"Rod and Laura have their Alpha Scanners already," Seth stated. "I actually want you to stay here today to help me with something."
"Oh, alright then," Gabriel said half-defeatedly.
"Well, we're supposed to take a break from homework," Rod told his sister.
"That's right! Didn't Helga just tell us that we should get out of here and go play?" Laura asked her brother with a smile.
"So, here we go!" Rod and Laura cheered before taking off towards Seth's lab.
"Hey, that's not fair! Finding dinosaurs is our job!" Ursula calls after the two kids. Then, Helga busted into the room that Rod and Laura had just left Ursula, Zander, and Ed in.
"Fun time is over, ja? Now it's time for you children to do your homework!" Helga said walking up to and grabbing Ursula by her leg and began to drag her to Rod and Laura's study room.
"But I don't have any homework!" Ursula wailed. "Don't just stand there, you guys!" Ursula called out to Ed and Zander who were standing a bit away from Helga and Ursula. Zander and Ed nervously glanced at each other.
"Shouldn't we help her?" Ed asked.
"No way. We're lucky she didn't notice us," Zander mumbled. As in a bit of irony, Helga turned around to face the two boys that she left behind.
"You too!" She yelled at them.
"Never mind," Zander whimpered.
Ursula was then sat down at a desk that was obviously too small for her with a pencil and a worksheet. At first, she was simply going to refuse to do the homework, but with Helga breathing down her neck, that proved to be a task that was easier said than done. Ursula just pouted as she picked up her pencil, which earned her a thorough smack on the head from Helga.
"Stop your sniveling and focus on your story problems," the house maid ordered.
"I hate math," Ursula huffed as she began to work.
"Now's our chance," Zander whispered to Ed.
"Time to sneak out," Ed replied softly.
"No sneaking out!" Helga turned and yelled at the boys.
In Seth's lab, Seth had a news report from Moscow playing on the holographic screen while he and Gabriel continued work and research.
"Seth, I still don't get what you needed me here for," Gabriel said holding a familiar Saurophaganax card in between his index and middle fingers, looking over it.
"I want you to see if we can learn anything more about the dinosaur cards and how they work," Seth replied. Gabriel just flipped the card in his card to look at the other side.
"Like, sure, their cool and all, but how come you want to know how they work? It's not hard. You swipe the card in the Alpha Scanner, and it comes to life. There's not much more to it, is there?" Gabriel asked.
"These cards were created by a science that your time cannot even begin to comprehend. I want to know if there's a possibility that we could create more cards," Seth replied.
"Why? 36 isn't enough for the old man?" Gabriel continued to question.
"His name is Dr. Z," Seth corrected. "No, that's not the reasoning. All will be made clear soon, Gabriel. You have my word as my lab partner and as your friend," Seth placed a hand on Gabriel's shoulder and flashed him a smile. Gabriel handed Seth the Saurophaganax card.
"I'm here at Moscow Station," the lady on the news station spoke. "I'm hoping to get some reactions regarding the incident," She turned to a familiar guy wearing a conductor's outfit and began to ask him some questions. Gabriel's eyes widened at he recognized the figure.
"That's that famous chef guy that was in Chinatown," Gabriel commented, making Seth turn and look at the screen. The latter looks just as stunned as Gabriel, but for a different reason. "I wonder how he got to be a conductor in Moscow."
"So there you are. I've found you at last," Seth said, mainly to himself.
"Do you know him, Seth?" Gabriel asked.
"Change of plans, Gabe," Seth said. "We're going to Moscow."
As the D-Team teleported into Moscow, they had no trouble at all finding the dinosaur as the tall blue dinosaur with yellow spikes on its shoulders and down its back rampaged through the town.
"There's the dinosaur!" Ren called.
"What kind is it?" Max asked.
"It's an Ampelosaurus!" Rex replied.
"We better hurry and capture it quick before it gets too out of control," Zoe told the rest of the D-Team. The Ampelosaurus continued making its way through Moscow and creeping towards the very same railway the team was talking about before they teleported. The D-Team tried to follow the Ampelosaurus as closely as they could. Though, they wouldn't find much difficulty. As the dinosaur trampled anything and everything in its path, civilians ran away and screamed from the large reptile.
The kids made their way by the railroad tracks, but at that point, they had lost sight of the Ampelosaurus. It had seemed like most of the people had gotten out of the way or something because there was little to no screaming of random civilians to indicate where the dinosaur had gone.
"Ok, keep an eye out for anything suspicious," Max told the rest of the D-Team.
"Like over there?" Zoe asked and pointed at the dinosaur in question reaching its head into the open end for a box car. It pulled its head out and was chomping down on some hay, leading the D-Team to assume that car used to haul some cattle.
"Yup, that's Ampelosaurus all right," Max said.
"It's eating all the cows' hay!" Rex exclaimed.
"It must be really hungry," Zoe commented.
"Speaking of, where are the cows?" Ren asked.
"No time for that, it's climbing into the car," Max said. The Ampelosaurus was indeed climbing further into the box car. The D-Team walked closer to the train and just stood outside of it.
"We can't do anything with it in there," Rex sighed.
"Hey guys, there's a door off to the side," Max said before he led the time around to the side of the train and through the door of the box car. The D-Team climbed up into the car of the train and looked at the dinosaur who had already put itself to sleep.
"It fell asleep," Ren commented.
"It's so cute!" Zoe said with a smile.
"Until it wakes up," Rex said quitely.
"Here's let's take a closer look at it," Max said walking up to the dinosaur.
"Yeah," Ren agreed.
"I want to see too," Zoe said.
"Careful, don't wake it up," Rex warned. The three kids and their dinosaurs walked up to the sleeping Ampelosaurus while Rex and Ace hung back.
"Now that's a loud snore!" Max chuckled. Ren observed the Ampelosaurus before placing her hand on the side of its neck. The promise that they all made last time in Varsalona. The Alpha Gang was not getting this dinosaur. Ren was going to make sure of that.
"Come on guys, we have to figure out a way to get it out of here. We don't got a lot of time," Rex cautioned. Just as if it was right on cue, all of the doors to the box car slammed shut.
"Great timing, bro," Ren said as she rushed to the side door and tried to open it. "It's locked from the outside." The whole car suddenly shook as it was connected to another part of the train and then another car was connected to the back.
"Are we locked in?" Zoe asked.
"We are, and the train's going to start up," Rex affirmed. Just then, the whistle of the train blew as the engine began to roar to life. The D-Team stumbled as the train began to move down the tracks.
"Now what?" Max asked.
"We can't risk Ampelosaurus waking up while we're moving," Ren pointed out.
"Just imagine what that would be like," Zoe gulped. "A real trainwreck."
"At the first station, we'll wake it and get it off. Until then, we'll do everything we can to make sure it stays asleep," Rex said. Rex's blue eyes widened upon seeing all four of the D-Team's dinosaurs climbing on the sleeping Ampelosaurus. "No, cut it out, Ace! Stop it Chomp! Paris, Ebony quit it!" Rex said as he ran over to the Ampelosaurus trying to pry the smaller dinosaurs off of Ampelosaurus. Max, Zoe, and Ren were wuickly behind Rex trying to get their dinosaurs off.
However, the D-Team's efforts to keep the Ampelosaurus asleep were to no avail. A giant crash sounded as the Ampelosaurus' tail smashed through the roof of the car, followed by a couple of the dinosaur's shoulder spikes. The giant dinosaur woke up and immediately hit its head on the top of the car and roared angrily.
"Well, it was a nice idea, but it sure is awake now!" Zoe gulped as the Ampelosaurus turned its head towards the D-Team.
"If it keeps this up, it'll destroy the train!" Rex exclaimed.
"We have to calm it down somehow," Ren said. The Ampelosaurus moved again, causing another hole in the roof of the car.
"That's for sure, but how do we do that?" Max asked. The Ampelosaurus began to thrash about in the car, causing it to rock and knock the D-Team off their feat.
"Ow, that hurt," Max said as he rubbed his head from the fall.
"Now it's really worked up," Rex stated.
"Now what?" Zoe asked. That's when Paris leapt up from where she was lying. "Paris!" Zoe called as the Parasaurolophus got closer to the Ampelosaurus. Paris began to sing softly to the Ampelosaurus. The kids were astonished by Paris' performance as they just stared and watched the Parasaurolophus sing. The Ampelosaurus laid its head back down and drifted back off to sleep.
"Paris put Ampelosaurus to sleep with a lullaby," Ren said.
"Wow, she's never done anything like that before," Zoe told the rest of the D-Team.
"Just in the nick of time too," Max said.
"You can say that again," Rex added. As the D-Team got resituated after their little scare with the Ampelosaurus, a loud buzzing-like noise could start being heard in the distance, quickly making an approach. Zoe eventually got up from where she was sitting to peer out the barred windows to see what was going on.
"You guys, look who it is," Zoe said with a distaste in her mouth. The rest of the D-team joined Zoe by the window to see what she was looking at.
"The Alpha Gang," Max said as he identified the flying, purple machine.
"They're going to try and take Ampelosaurus," Rex said.
"We're not going to let that happen," Ren stated.
"Isn't that old lady ever going to give it up?" Zoe asked with bitterness. However, this wasn't Ursula, Zander, and Ed coming after them, it was Laura and Rod. Somewhere back on Zeta Point, Ursula was churning in her boots trying to figure out who called her old.
"Okay," Laura began as the top hatch of the aircraft opened and Terry and Spiny walked out in their chibi forms onto the wings with parachutes on. "You guys know what to do right? Terry, Spiny, your job is to go down there and drag Ampelosaurus out of the train!" The dinosaurs roared in unison before Spiny jumped first, followed by Terry. However, the two dinosaurs were slowed due to their parachutes and completely missed the train. Spiny landed on the ground before his parachute completely devoured him under its fabric.
"Aw, he missed," Laura pouted.
"Oh boy," Rod commented looking back at the dinosaurs.
"We'll have to go to plan B," Laura said grumpily as she pulled out her Alpha Scanner and began to poke some buttons. Spiny then transformed into his full form and caught Terry, who was still floated down from the sky, on his head. As soon as Terry was onboard Spiny, the Spinosaurus took off running towards the train.
"Now follow that train, you two!" Laura ordered from the aircraft. The Spinosaurus that was running alongside the train caught the attention of many of the passenger that were onboard. Including a little boy who was glued to the window.
"Mom, look at the dinosaur!" He eagerly told his mother, who had her eyes glued on a scarf that she was in the middle of knitting.
"That's nice, dear. You have quite the imagination," she told her son. The conductor that Seth and Gabriel had recognized on the news report stopped at their seats.
"Excuse me folks, can I see your tickets?" he asked.
Outside, Spiny was still running at full speed as he tried to keep up with the train. It was evident that the Spinosaurus was quickly running out of energy trying to keep up.
"Now, Terry! Jump onto that train!" Laura called to the Tyrannosaurus. Terry nodded before turning to face the locomotive. Terry leapt for the train, smashing straight through the window of the boy and his mother with the conductor standing right there.
"Alright! He's on the train! That worked out perfectly!" Laura cheered.
"Yeah, he's onboard, but now what do we have him do?" Rod asked, looking over at his sister.
"Oh! I don't really know. I thought you would know," Laura replied to her brother. The conductor picked up Terry with one hand.
"Sorry little guy, no pets allowed. So, I'm afraid that this is your stop," the conductor said before dropping Terry right back outside the window he had crashed through. Terry landed on the ground with a tumble, and Spiny crashed to the ground not far behind out of exhaustion.
"Spiny's exhausted." Rod said before Spiny reverted back to his card.
"Yeah, Terry's going to have to come back to," Laura said as Rod lowered the aircraft to the ground so they could pick up Spiny's card.
"Looks like we need a plan C," Rod sighed.
A little while later near the front of the train, Seth and Gabriel were getting out of their aircraft which they landed ahead of the train ready for it to come to them.
"Here it comes, Seth," Gabriel pointed out.
"Follow my lead," Seth told the boy as he stepped onto the tracks. Gabriel joined him.
"Are you sure this is safe?" Gabriel asked. That's when Seth pulled out an Alpha Scanner and a familiar Saichainia card.
"Let's go, Tank. Stop that train," Seth said as he summoned the earth affiliated dinosaur. Gabriel pulled out his Alpha Scanner.
"You to, Odis. Let's go," Gabriel said as he slashed his Olorotitan card. The engineer running the train screamed at the two dinosaurs that had suddenly appeared in front of the train and passed out in fear.
"No good, fall back," Seth said as he stepped off of the tracks and called Tank back to her card. Gabriel followed suit, calling back Odis.
"What now, Seth?" Gabriel asked.
"You take the scooter and go assist Rod and Laura with the dinosaur. I have other matters to attend to," Seth said as he pulled out a grappling hook and shot it at the train. Gabriel snapped his fingers and a hover scooter appeared for him to hop upon and carry him to where Rod and Laura were. Seth's grappling hook retracted, pulling him to the train. The blue-haired member of the Alpha Gang made a smooth transition onto the train where he was met face to face with the conductor.
"Good you see you again," Seth snarled.
"Good news, we're about to come into a town," Rex said peering through the barred window on top of Max's shoulders.
"As soon as the train stops, we'll wake Ampelosaurus," Max stated.
"But there will probably be tons of people at that station," Zoe said full of concern.
"That's going to have to be a risk we're willing to take," Ren told Zoe.
"If we battle it quick and get it into a card, it shouldn't matter," Max said.
"And if we want to get it before the Alpha Gang, that's what we'll have to do anyways," Rex added. The train was coming into the station, and the intercom could be heard to let people know that it was here. However, the train was not slowing down. It barreled through the station without slowing down.
"Huh? How come we didn't stop?" Max asked.
"Something's wrong," Zoe said.
"Not only did we not stop, it feels like we're picking up speed," Rex said, alarmed.
"That's not good," Ren replied.
"You've managed to hide from me for a long time now," Seth told the conductor standing across from him. "But at last, I've found you." At first, the conductor didn't say anything. It was just a sort of stare off between the two. Suddenly, the conductor extended his hand towards Seth as though he were expecting something from the Alpha Gang member.
"Your ticket please, sir," the conductor said, as if Seth's words just blew over his head. Seth then pulled a lever that was next to him, releasing the train car that he was standing on from the train car that the conductor was standing on. The two cars began to drift apart.
"You fool!" The conductor scowled Seth. Then, the conductor made a jump that shouldn't have been humanly possible and landed on the top of the car that Seth was on. Seth quickly climbed his way up the outdoor side ladder of the train and joined the conductor on the top of the moving train.
"Dr. Ancient's android," Seth said staring at the conductor in front of him.
"I must see your ticket now, sir," the conductor said, extending his arm out to Seth once again. It was as if he was unaware of what Seth was talking about. Seth's eyes narrowed at the figure standing before him.
"You can drop the act and stop pretending like you don't know what I'm talking about, android," Seth growled. "I know who you are and how Dr. Ancient hid that data in your memory banks. I must have the doctor's original research data to complete and perfect my own," Seth said as he pulled out the same stun cane that took down Helga. "So give it to me, or I'll take it by force!"
"No one rides this train for free. If you don't have a ticket, then I'm afraid you must get off," the conductor replied as he pulled at a mallet to battle Seth's stun cane. Seth rushed towards the conductor, but the figure swiftly moved to the side to dodge Seth's attack. The conductor swung his mallet, then let go of it, sending both it and Seth's stun cane off the side of the train. Seth came up from behind the conductor and wrapped his arms around the conductor's neck, attempting to get the android off of his feet. The conductor was able to grab Seth's arms and pull them off of him before both fell on top of the train. Seth's back was against the top of the train, while the conductor was over him ready to punch, but Seth was able to catch the punch before it hit him.
The two rolled around on the train for a few moments before Seth was able to get some wiggle room to get out from underneath the conductor and reset the standoff. Seth went in to tackle the android, successfully knocking the conductor over the side of the train. The conductor was handing onto the top of the train by an arm and a leg before sliding of the edge. Seth breathed hard as he watched the spot that the conductor went off the side.
"Something definitely wrong," Ren said as the car that they were on with the Ampelosaurus was one of the few that stayed attached to the part of the train that was still moving.
"It feels like the train's out of control," Rex stated as he leaned against a wall of the box car next to his sister.
"I think you're right," Zoe said.
"I'll go check it out," Max said with confidence as he walked over to the barred window.
"Hold on, Electro-Boy," Ren told Max. "What do you plan on checking out?"
"Everything," Max said as he held his dino holder outside the window of the box car. "Dino slash! Go, Triceratops, ROAR!" As Chomp was transitioning into his full size, Max slipped through the bars of the window and jumped onto Chomp just as Chomp was getting ready to run alongside the train.
"Alright here we go!" Max cheered as he held onto one of Chomp's horns as the duo began to make their way towards the front of the train to see what was going on.
Just as Seth was catching his breath from his fight with the conductor, the conductor was pulling himself back up to the roof of the train to continue the fight. However, when the conductor was able to peer over the top of the train, Seth wasn't in sight. Seth had ducked down between a couple of the cars to stay out of view. The conductor stood on top of the train and glanced around for a few moments. That's when Seth came up from behind the android and placed a handheld device to the back of the android's head.
The conductor began to yowl in pain, though there was no real pain that was done. Seth was extracted data from the android with the device in his hand. The conductor fell over limp on the train.
"I've downloaded your data," Seth told the unconscious android. "You're of no further use to me now." Seth then kicked the android conductor off of the train to leave him lying there on the trains as the train continued to get further and further away from the android.
"We're almost there, Chomp," Max said encouraging his dinosaur as the two were getting closer to the front of the train. "Get me a little closer to that door." Chomp continued to push on to get Max closer to the door of the engine. Max extended his hand out and stretched out his fingers. "Just a little more! I can almost reach it."
Max was then able to get a firm grasp on the side bar of the door and pull himself onto the steps leading up to the door as Chomp began to fall back. The Triceratops was exhausted from running to keep up with the train and from trying to get Max to the front of it.
The brunette walking inside of the engine and seen the engineer passed out on the control panel. Max quickly rushed over to the man's side.
"Hey, mister! You need to wake up! You've gotta wake up!" Max said, lightly shaking the engineer's shoulders. The engineer began to lift his head as he slowly was regaining consciousness. However, what caught his eye wasn't the boy that was helping him come to, it was the dinosaur that was right outside the door. Just like that, the engineer was out again.
"Oh no, he's out again!" Max exclaimed. He looked out the window, then at the controls. "I guess it's up to me! I'll have to try and stop this train on my own." Max grabbed a couple of the levers on the train and pulled one of them. "Here goes nothing."
Suddenly, the train began to start to screech as it was coming to a stop. Rex, Ren, and Zoe all held their dinosaurs close to them as they fell with the sudden shift in speed. Luckily, Ebony's spikes did not impale Ren like they did on Reese's plane. Unluckily, the sudden screech woke up Ampelosaurus and it was beginning to go crazy again.
Max hopped out of the train and just stared in disbelief as the Ampelosaurus destroyed a majority of the box car that it was riding in and was making its own way off the train.
"Hold on, Max!" Rex called.
"Let's turn it to a card quick," Ren said as she and the others joined Max.
"Yeah, all together," Max stated. Chomp ran up behind the kids and roared, showing that he still had some fight left in him even after running with the train.
"Dino slash!" Rex called. "Go, Carnotaurus! Blow them away!"
"Dino slash!" Zoe said. "Spring up, Parasaurolophus!"
"Dino swipe!" Ren hollered. "Let's rock and roll, Stegosaurus!"
The three additional D-Team dinosaurs were ready to join Chomp in battling the Ampelosaurus. Clearly outnumbered, the Ampelosaurus began to run away from Chomp, Ace, Paris, and Ebony. However, in running away from the D-Team, it ran straight into a familiar Olorotitan, who roared ferociously at it.
"The Alpha Gang again," Rex scowled. Just then, Rod and Laura's aircraft with a newly additional Gabriel flew over the D-Team.
"Thanks for helping out!" Rod called with a sneer from above the D-Team.
"Now, Odis. Thorn Whip!" Gabriel slashed the move card in his Alpha Scanner. Odis roared, preparing to use the move that his owner had ordered him to use. That's when Ampelosaurus roared and smacked its tail against the vines, sending them in another direction.
"No way!" Rod and Laura gasped.
"Is that even allowed?" Gabriel asked. The vines were then about to crash down directly on top of the D-Team. That's when the conductor leapt in front of the kids and took the hit instead.
"Oh no!" Rex said as the D-Team rushed out to see of the conductor was alirght.
"Mister, are you okay?" Ren asked.
"Just hold on," Zoe said as she knelt down beside the conductor. That's when she spotted his face and gasped. "Guys, we've seen this man before."
That's when Rex spotted the big opening in his chest caused by the vines. However instead of blood and organs, it was gears and mechanical stuff inside. "Only he's not a man, he's a robot!"
"But he saved us... Why?" Ren pondered. However, this was not the time to be wondering about why robots save people. There was a dinosaur to catch! The Ampelosaurus roared as it began to use its own move, Aqua Vortex, against Odis. The Olorotitian became engulf in a swirling tower of water that picked him up and swirled him around. The vortex disappeared when Odis was in the air, causing the dinosaur to tumble harshly back down to the ground. Odis glowed a shining green color before returning to his card.
"That was Aqua Vortex!" Rod point out. He flew them in so an extendable robot arm could pick up Odis's card.
"It just beat Odis," Rex gasped.
"Well, Chomp. Now it's our turn!" Max said and he held his ground. "Electric Charge!" Max called as he slashed the move card. Clouds covered the sky. A bolt of lightning struck down from the sky and hit Chomp, super charging him. Chomp ran towards the Ampelosaurus, successfully hitting the opposing dinosaur. Ampelosaurus went flying into the air and landed hard but was not turned back into a card. However, Tank joined the battle from the other side.
"Where did Tank come from?" Ren asked. Tank used Tail Smash against the Ampelosaurus and the behemoth of a dinosaur turned back into his card. Then, Tank got returned to her card. A blue haired figure was making his way to pick up the dinosaur card and the move card.
"Ebony, quick! Spike Arrows. Protect those cards!" Ren yelled as she swiped the move card. Purple energy began channeling in Ebony's back spines, working its way down to her tail. The purple light then made her tail spikes glow. Ebony took aim, before releasing the energy built up in the spikes toward the cards on the ground. The arrows made a barrier momentarily stopping Seth from getting to the Ampelosaurus card and the Aqua Vortex card. While Seth was taken aback by the sudden attack, Max was able to swoop in and pick up the cards.
"You may have won today, but soon you will meet your ultimate defeat," Seth growled at the D-Team before returning.
"We did it!" Max cheered.
"We got the Ampelosaurus card!" Rex added. The D-Team must've not realized how late in the day it was, because now it was dark outside. The sky then began to light up with brilliant colors dancing in the sky.
"Look guys, it's those lights Dr. Taylor was telling us about," Zoe said.
"Pretty, aren't they?" Ren asked as she stared up into the sky. Chomp, Ace, Paris, and Ebony all looked up to the sky to observe the lights before they roared in unison.
"They're awesome," Max said in awe.
"Yeah," Rex agreed.
"Beautiful," Zoe added.
"What a way to close off an adventure," Ren said.
"Agreed," the other three said.
"So, what do we do about him?" Max asked, pointing at the android on the ground. Rex, Ren, and Zoe looked at each other. There was only one thing to do. Take him back to the D-Lab.
