With the D-Team and company trapped in a dead end with Seth's modified Tyrannosaurus blocking their only exit, it seemed like it was all over, and Seth had won. The Black T-Rex tried to attack the group through the main corridor, but they all backed up further into the hallway, which only the Tyrannosaurus' snout could fit through.

"How are we supposed to stop Black T-Rex when we can't even slow it down?" Max pondered.

"What if we make it run out of energy like it did before?" Zoe asked.

"Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that Seth reprogrammed it to have more energy since that first attack," Gabriel told the group.

"We'll just have to go in and get the stones that he copies so he can't start up the time machine," Ren said with a look of determination.

"There is a way to get to the control deck without going through Black T-Rex!" Rod suddenly burst.

"There is?" Rex exclaimed.

"Then let's do it," Max nodded to Rod.

"Rod's right! You can get there underground," Dr. Z told the D-Team while pointing to a hatch that wasn't too far away. "What a minute, did I just say something helpful and cooperative?"

"There's an underground?" Gabriel raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah! There's lots of cool secret tunnels and stuff!" Laura smiled.

"Come on," Rex told the others. The group began to head towards the hatch just as the Black T-Rex was preparing to use a Fire Scorcher attack. The fiery ball of death loomed towards the group.

"Duck!" Dr. Taylor ordered. The group hit the deck. The attack hit the floor of the ship, creating a hole that Max and Chomp fell into. Dr. Taylor called after his son, but Johnathan was the one to spring into action. The android dove into the hole that Max and Chomp had disappeared down. The rest of the group was quick towards the edge of the hole. Smoke kicked up from the bottom, and it was near impossible to see what had happened. The drop was quite deep and surely no one would survive the fall.

That is, no one human.

When the smoke and dust cleared out, the group could see that Johnathan was sparking, but was able to shield Max from the impact of the fall.

"Johnathan," Laura whimpered, almost in disbelief. Soon enough, Johnathan picked himself up from the fall and the group sighed in relief as they could see Max talking to him, though none of them could quite understand what he was saying.

"They're alright," Rex said relieved and with a smile.

"But we can't hear a thing of what they're saying," Ren frowned. Zoe then pulled out her dino holder and called Max on it. Max soon flickered on the screen.

"Max!" Zoe spoke.

"Are you two alright? That was a nasty fall. What's going on?" Dr. Taylor questioned.

"We're right outside the central control deck where the time machine is! We're going in. You guys take care of Black T-Rex," Max informed the others.

"There were safer ways to get down there, ya know," Ren scolded.

"Ignore her," Rex said as he pushed his sister out of the view frame. "We're just all glad you're okay. Be careful, Max."

"I will," Max replied.

"And Johnathan, take care of Max," Rex added.

"Rest assured, Master Rex!" Johnathan saluted. Max disconnected the video call and the group watched Max and Johnathan dart off in a direction and out of view from above.

"Good luck," Ren said softly.

"My opinion is that a jump from a five-story drop would cause severe injuries," Dr. Taylor said, as he continued to stare down the crater.

"But Johnathan's not human. Surely, he could've tanked that," Ren told Spike. Rex looked down the hallway at the ginormous Tyrannosaurus that was watching the ground intently.

"We'll have to battle," Rex nodded.

"Well, my opinion is that an impact from a five-story dinosaur could cause even more severe injuries," Dr. Z yelped.

"Here's an idea, what if everyone used a fusion move together?" Zoe suggested.

"Like all of our dinosaurs at once?" Gabriel asked.

"What about all the dinosaurs together?" Zoe looked at the group.

"Hey, that's but a bad idea," Dr. Taylor told the girl.

"There's not enough room in here for that!" Dr. Z hissed.

"Grandpa, what if we lured Black T-Rex onto the loading dock?" Rod enlightened. "Then there would be plenty of room once we force it outside."

"That's excellent thinking, young man! Obviously, you are a chip off the old doc!" Dr. Z chirped. "Now we just need someone to do the luring."

No one said anything, but it was apparent that there was one clear answer that everyone was thinking. The group all exchanged glances with each other before the gazes were all set on Dr. Z.

"Why are you all looking at me like that?" Dr. Z took a couple of steps away from the group out of nervousness. Helga picked up the old dinosaur scientist and carried him over towards the Black T-Rex. "This is mutiny! Senior, evil scientists are exempt from luring responsibilities!"

"I can't believe I was working for someone who calls himself an evil scientist," Gabriel muttered.

"Yeah, I'm surprised you're just finding out now," Ren replied.

"If you want to be Dinosaur King, then it should be a piece of cake for you to lure this dinosaur wherever you want it to go!" Helga scolded Dr. Z.

"But it might think I'm the piece of cake!" Dr. Z wailed.

"No more whining, get out there!" Helga told Dr. Z as she gave him a shove out to the large corridor with the Black T-Rex. The large dinosaur lowered its head and stared at Dr. Z for a moment. Dr. Z immediately began to run away from the Black Tyrannosaurus.

"Don't eat me! Don't eat me!" Dr. Z cried as he ran with his arms flailing in the air. "I'll upset your stomach, and I just ate onions and hot peppers for lunch!"

"Let's take the back way to the loading dock. If we hurry, we'll beat them there," Rod informed as he took the lead of the group and lead them in the direction they needed to go.

Max and Chomp, alongside Johnathan, were quickly approaching the central control room, formerly known as Seth's lab, where the operations for the time machine were. Johnathan still occasionally sparked though he had already assured Max that he was going to be fine. Everything seemed to be smooth sailing for them. That was until a hoard of Alpha Droids appeared out of nowhere and blocked their path to the control room.

"Intruder alert. Intruder alert. Intruder alert," the Alpha Droids chimed in harmony.

"Now what?" Max asked Johnathan as he came to a halt.

"I'll take care of them," Johnathan ensured as he continued to spark before he charged into the group of Alpha Droids, ready to fight.

"Johnthan!" Max called after the android.

"I promised Master Rex that I would look out for you, Max. Mistress Ren would expect the same from me, and I keep my word!" Johnathan told the brunette-haired boy as he began to punch Alpha Droids that were coming in to attack him. Max scowled, even though Johnathan seemed to be handling his own rather well. More Alpha Droids filtered in from the branching hallways to take on the rebellious android. Max decided that it was time to take out his dino holder.

"We've got to help out Johnathan, Chomp," Max informed his Triceratops. The chibi dinosaur barked in a determined agreement before getting transported into a card in Max's hand. "Dino slash! Go, Triceratops! ROAR!"

With Chomp now in a full-sized attacking mode, he and Johnathan were able to make quick work of the Alpha Droids that came in to prevent the trio from reaching the central control room. Alpha Droids scattering into pieces left and right. Others crumbled beneath Chomp's feet. Some were smashed, crushed, and destroyed. No matter what, they were no chance against Johnathan and Chomp.

"Help! This T-Rex is right on my tail!" Dr. Z called as the rest of the Alpha Gang; D-Team combination group made their way into the loading dock. They spotted the old scientist scrambling under neath and metal door that was slowly raising. "And so is this door!"

Dr. Z was able to squeeze underneath the door as it rose a few more centimeters. However, the door was no match for Black T-Rex, who just burst straight through it, causing dust and smoke to fill the room momentarily.

"Good work, Grandpa," Rod told the old man.

"Yes! Now we just got to get to the surface before Black T-Rex eats us all," Dr. Taylor said in an unusually chipper voice given the situation.

"Yes, how fun," Ren commented with sarcasm. The Black T-Rex roared as it got ready to attack the group.

"Okay, time to go up now, Rod," Gabriel told the boy.

"I'd be happy to take us up, but there's just one small problem," Rod admitted.

"And what's that?" Rex asked.

"Surely not the Tyrannosaurus that's going to eat us if we don't get up there right now," Ren scoffed.

"The control panel for the elevator is on the other side of the room," Rod said as he pointed past Black Tyrannosaurus at a button on the wall.

"It's all the way over there?" Zoe gulped.

"Why didn't one of us hit it when we came in?" Gabriel questioned.

"Grandpa, we need to risk you being lunch again and hit that button!" Rod told Dr. Z while still pointing at the button on the wall.

"I would love to, but I just have got to-" Dr. Z began before he cut himself off with obviously fake coughing.

"I will do it," Helga stated as she stepped up and looked at the Black Tyrannosaurus.

"Be careful, Helga," Laura whimpered to the android maid. Helga ran out towards the elevator button, dodging the footsteps of the Black T-Rex that was trying to prevent her from reaching it. She eventually reaches the button and presses it. A circular panel in the floor beneath the group feet began to shake. Railing popped up around them before the panel lifted up out of the ground towards the roof.

"We're moving!" Zoe exclaimed as she rushed over to the nearest panel sides and grabbed onto the railing and peered over the edge.

"Helga did it!" Laura cheered and hugged her brother. The Black T-Rex as also standing on another panel that got lifted up at the same time.

Soon, the group was on the roof of Zeta Point and watched as the Black Tyrannosaurus also appeared on the surface with them.

"All right!" Rex smiled as he had his dino holder at the ready.

"Now we can summon all the dinosaurs we want to!" Laura said with enthusiasm.

"Let's do it!" Rod told the D-Team.

"Right!" Ren nodded.

"Everyone together now," Gabriel added.

"It's like a dinosaur rodeo!" Dr. Taylor cheered as he pulled out an Alpha Scanner that he snatched from Dr. Z.

"Give me that!" Dr. Z scowled as he swiped the device back from back.

"Aw, but I wanted to summon a dinosaur," Spike pouted.

"Here it goes! Alpha slash!" Dr. Z started.

"Dino slash!" Rex followed.

"Dino slash!" Zoe chimed in.

"Alpha slash!" both Laura and Rod synchronized.

"Alpha slash!" Gabriel called.

"Dino swipe!" Ren followed up. Appearing on the battlefield one after the other stood Terry, Ace, Paris, Spiny, Tank, Odis, and Ebony. All of which roared as a unit as they prepared for the fight that was ahead of them.

"We need even more!" Rex told the others as he took a handful of fire elemental dinosaurs from his collection.

"Pass out the cards!" Zoe said, taking a handful of water dinosaurs from hers.

"If someone has a stone, give them the cards. The dinosaurs will be stronger that way," Ren told the others as she plucked a couple of grass elementals from her deck and handed them off to Zoe.

"What do we do about the lightning ones?" Gabriel asked.

"We don't have Max, so those are either yours or Laura's," Rex informed.

"Split them?" Gabriel asked Laura as he split where he took the lightning elementals from the others and split what they had evenly with Laura.

"Deal!" Laura chirped as she took half.

"Come out everyone!" Rod chimed as he began to summon the water dinosaurs.

"Here we go!" Zoe called as she began to summon whatever grass ones they had.

One by one, the group summoned all the dinosaurs that they currently had. Ankylosaurus, Baryonyx, Ampelosaurus, Maiasaura, Ceratosaurus, Megaraptor, Daspletosaurus, Allosaurus, Fukuisaurus, and Saurophaganax were among the few to be summoned.

The Black T-Rex took a scan across the range of dinosaurs it was up against. With a mighty roar, it was apparent, the war was about to begin.

After the hive of Alpha Droids was destroyed, Max took out his dino holder and called Rex. Rex was able to answer Max's call.

"How are you guys doing there with the Black T-Rex?" the brunette asked.

"We summoned all the dinosaurs we've got but, it's still not enough. We need you to send Johnathan here with your cards. That should even things up," Rex replied.

"Will do," Max nodded before Rex hung up. Max accessed his cards and took out four cards that weren't his and gave went up to the android. "Johnathan, I need you to send these cards to the others.

"On it," Johnathan told Max, before he gently took the cards from Max and ran to meet up with the group. Max climbed onto Chomp's back.

"Alright, buddy. Charge!" Max called. Max kept his head low as Chomp barreled through the wall to the central control room with the time machine. Max dropped down off of his Triceratops' back. So far so good, no Seth in sight. Max spotted the copied stones from across the room.

"If we take those stones, we can stop the time machine!" Max smiled to Chomp. The brunette began to make his way over towards the stones. However instead of getting close, Max triggered a trap that surrounded him and Chomp underneath a dome of electrical energy. "Woah, hey! What are these things?"

Max poked one of the bars of the dome. In return, it shocked his finger. Max flinched back as shook out his fang from the shock. Chomp tried to ram through the dome, but as soon as he touched it, he also got shocked. Chomp yelped in surprised. From across the room, a man appeared from a platform attached to the ceiling, laughing. Seth was lowering himself towards the ground.

"They're highly charged electrical bars to keep little pest like you from preventing big plans like mine," Seth smirked down at Max.

"No!" Max scowled.

"Yes," Seth mused as he stepped onto the floor and walked over towards the control panel. "We're about to go traveling through time." Seth reached out for a lever and cranked it forward. The big pillar in the middle of the room spiraled and whirled to life as the time machine started up. Max gasped as he took a couple of steps backwards as he stared up at the machine. His eyes widened. He lost.

The battle against the Black T-Rex could have been going better. So far, there hasn't been any progress made against the towering dinosaur. Rod noticed that the time machine was active and gasped.

"What is it, Rod?" Dr. Taylor asked the boy.

"It's done, he actually did it!" Dr. Z gulped as he, Rod, and Laura stared in disbelief as a pillar on the top of the ship that was a part of the time machine, as it was filled with life. "Seth started up the time machine and if we don't stop it, we'll all get blown into the next dimension!"

"Come on, Max," Ren frowned as she looked at the swirling pillar.

"We need more dinosaurs if we're going to beat that Black T-Rex!" Zoe said. The gigantic dinosaur roared and swung its tail. Terry just narrowly avoided being hit by the attack. Maiasaura attacked the dinosaur next, but Black T-Rex simply punted the smaller dinosaur out of the way. Maiasaura landed on the ground with a thud and turned back into a card, that was quickly recovered by Zoe. Ceratosaurus and Megaraptor decided to try to do a similar attack together, but both were hastily taken down in the same manner. Rex was quick to recover their cards.

Daspletosaurus decided to use its Fire Bomb attack against the Black Tyrannosaurus. It jumped up into the air, fire spewing from its mouth. It dove onto the Black T-Rex's neck, but the larger dinosaur easily shook it off, undeterred. Daspletosaurus landed harshly on the ground and was defeated. Rod picked up the card.

Black T-Rex then launched a Fire Scorcher attack towards Paris, who ducked barely in time to dodge. The attack continued spiraling towards Ren.

"Take cover!" Dr. Taylor called.

"Ren, look out!" Rex called.

"Watch out, Ren!" Zoe also warned. Just before the attack hit Ren, Johnathan stepped up and blocked the attack and took the blow.

"No, Johnathan!" Zoe cried. When the attack cleared out, Johnathan was charred and sparking more than he already was, but he was still able to turn around to Ren.

"Johnathan, are you okay?" Ren asked worriedly.

"M-Max sent m-m-me with instructions to g-g-give you these di-di-dinosaur c-c-cards," Johnathan said in a static-filled voice and handed the cards to Ren. Ren took the cards from Johnathan. As soon as she did, the android fell over onto the ground.

"Johnathan!" Rex called as he raced over by his sister's side and looked down at Johnathan. "You're hurt!"

"Use those c-c-cards before it's too l-l-late," Johnathan informed. He then stopped sparking, a sign that he was now offline.

"Poor Johnathan," Zoe said softly. Both Rex and Ren stared at the android before both siblings' expressions turned into glares. The rest of this fight was for Johnathan.

"He's right, what are the cards Max sent?" Rex asked his sister. Ren held them out in front of her. It was the Pachycephalosaurus, Therizinosaurus, Megalosaurus, and the Deinonychus trio secret cards. The cards were each hastily claimed by someone in the group. Dr. Z claimed the Pachycephalosaurus. Ren kept the Therizinosaurus. Rex got a hold of the Megalosaurus. Gabriel got the Deinonychus trio.

Upon seeing all of his personal creations, Dr. Z cheered as he rushed towards Pachycephalosaurus and climbed onto its back.

"Hey wait!" Rod called after Dr. Z.

"This is just like that dream I keep having!" Dr. Z fantasied. "You're about to find out, Black T-Rex! You should've never had messed with me, a true Dinosaur King!"

"You're using the time machine to bring your mutant dinosaurs back to when the real dinosaurs went extinct!" Max finally caught on to Seth's diabolical plan.

"Correct," Seth commented as he flickered with a few more switches in the setting of the time machine controls. "Except that my dinosaurs aren't mutated, they're evolved."

"They're still fake!" Max yelled out at the science prodigy.

"They'll survive extinction and then we'll see what it would be like if dinosaurs still ruled the earth," Seth told Max, who just gaped at the idea. "It's almost too much for the imagination to handle, isn't it? Wouldn't it be fun to find out, Max?"

Suddenly, the time machine began to glow, but warning sirens also beeped. There was a problem. Seth rushed to see what was happening. The time machine functions were malfunctioning.

"No, not that!" Seth growled.

On the top of Zeta Point, the pillar was sparking and the beeping from the warning alerts could be heard. The group looked around between each other and the spire.

"What's going on?" asked Zoe. For some reason, Dr. Taylor got the idea to look over the side of the ship at the city below.

"That's impossible!" Spike gasped.

"What is it?" Ren asked the palynologist.

"The city's turning prehistoric!" Dr. Taylor informed. The rest of the ground rushed towards the edge of the ship to see what Dr. Taylor was on about. It was true. Vines and vegetation began to sprout on the roofs and sides of skyscrapers. Ferns began to take over the sidewalks. The most surprising on the matter were that dinosaurs just began to fade into reality all around the city! An Acrocanthosaurus here, a Mesosaurus there. How about a Brachiosaurus over here? Don't forget about the Pteranodons and Pterodactyls that began to dot the skies. Civilians below began to screech and run for cover to hide from these prehistoric monsters.

"Instead of taking us back to another era, the time machine seems to be bringing the prehistoric period into the present, blending the two times together!" Dr. Taylor exclaimed as Futabasaurus and Baryonyx took over the rivers. Allosauruses and Styrocosaurus began to run ramped.

"Those dinosaurs will wreak havoc on the city!" Rex told the others.

"This dinosaur is wreaking havoc on my digestive system!" Dr. Z stated as he clung onto the back of the Pachycephalosaurus that was desperately trying to shake the old man off of it. "Quick everyone, try a fusion move!" Dr. Z then got flung off of the Pachycephalosaurus. His Alpha Scanner also went flying. Dr. Taylor smoothly caught the device and smiled down at it with pure joy. It almost looked like as if he were a child on Christmas Day. However, Dr. Z wasn't so lucky. He was tossed over the edge of Zeta Point. Sent fumbling to the earth below.

"Grandpa!" Rod and Laura called. Out of nowhere, an airplane zoomed by. A top hatch was open and three familiar faces poked out.

"It's Reese!" Zoe exclaimed as she pointed at the pilot.

"And Ursula, Ed, and Zander!" Gabriel pointed out the three at the top hatch.

"Keep falling straight!" Ursula called out to Dr. Z.

"We got you, Doc!" Zander said as he and Ed held out a large net, preparing to catch Dr. Z. The old man fell seamlessly into the net. Zander and Ed struggled to hold the net, while Ursula cheered.

"Yes! Two points for us!" she beamed.

"I think my stomach's better," Dr. Z wheezed. Rod and Laura sighed in relief knowing that Dr. Z was going to be okay.

"Time for a fusion move!" Rex stated to the rest of the group.

"Yeah!" Everybody else cheered.

"Go!" Rex stared, slashing some move cards.

"All together!" Zoe followed his lead, slashing some move cards of her own.

"As long as we're standing," Gabriel said as he slashed some move cards.

"There's no way we can't lose!" Ren called, swiping her own move cards.

"Super Fusion move!" Rod and Laura united, slashing move cards.

"I'm in on this too!" Dr. Taylor announced as he too slashed a few move cards.

Ace used Cyclone. Paris used Metal Wing. Odis used Thorn Whip. Ebony used Spike Arrow. Allosaurus used Mayfly. Fukuisaurus used Emerald Garden. Spiny used Shockwave. Tank used Tail Smash. Ampelosaurus used Aqua Vortex. Pachycephalosaurus used Laser Ray. Saurophaganax used Magma Blaster. Therizinosaurus used Gyro Claw. Megalosaurus used Zero G Throw. The Deinonychus trio used Spinning Attack. Last but not least, Terry used Volcano Burst.

The moves all combined into the super fusion move in a radiant beam of glowing rainbow light that hurdled towards the Black T-Rex. The Tyrannosaurus countered with a Fire Scorcher, but the attack was no used for the power of all of the other dinosaurs united together against it. The attack made contact with the Black T-Rex.

"We hit it!" Gabriel cheered. However, the T-Rex still stood its ground.

"Oh no, it's still standing!" said Zoe.

"Yeah, but one more direct hit last that last one just might finish the job," Rex scowled.

In the central control room, the time machine continued to spark as Seth tried to fix the error to get it back on track. He scanned over the controls desperately.

"The power matrix is collapsing in on itself!" Seth growled. "There has to be something wrong with the copied stones."

While Seth was distracted fixing his own mistake, Max stood underneath the electric dome that Seth had imprisoned him and Chomp in. He had to get out somehow. The brunette began to brainstorm ideas for how to break out of the cage, when he looked down at the answer in his hand: his dino holder.

Max transformed Chomp back into his card and held it in his hands. If he could just slash the card outside the bars, he would have his escaped. Max reached the dino holder outside the bars, but his hand got zapped in process, causing him to lose his grip on the device. It landed outside of the bars, far from Max's reach. The noise from the dino holder landing against the floor alerted Seth. He turned around and looked at the dino holder, then at Max and chuckled.

"Pathetic," Seth told Max before turning around to fix the problem at hand.

"Oh yeah?" Max whispered. "Just watch this."

Max held his Triceratops card in his card. He focused on the slot in the dino holder where the cards get slashed. With a flick of his wrist, Max flicked Chomp's card towards the dino holder. It slid into the slot smoothly and Chomp was summoned... as a chibi.

The Black T-Rex got hit again with the super fusion move. However, it still did not go down. it huffed as it firmly stood up.

"Another direct hit," Zoe said.

"But it's still standing," Dr. Taylor commented.

"One more it and it's gotta be down," Gabriel told the others.

"Right," Ren nodded. "One more time everybody!"

Seth continued to fiddle with the controls. His copied stones seemed to be fine, but he still did not understand why the system was crashing in on itself. Seth went to move a different lever, but instead of being met with the handle of the switch, he was met with the bite of a small Triceratops.

"Gah! Let go of my arm!" Seth scowled as he shook the arm that Chomp has a hold of in an attempt to fling the small dinosaur off of him.

"Yeah! Go get him, Chomp!" Max cheered from the sidelines, or rather from inside the electric cage.

The super fusion fused fired again. It was apparent that many of the dinosaurs on the side of the D-Team and Alpha Gang were worn down by now. If the Black T-Rex didn't go down with this hit, it was all over for all of them.

However, the Black T-Rex roared as it was hit, and in a spiral of dark light, it vanished before their eyes. The dinosaur was defeated. They won.

The group celebrated as the monstrous dinosaur had fallen and they all reigned triumphant. Just then, the ship shook violently as something else from inside the control room proved this wasn't over yet.

Sparks continued to fly from the controls. Seth was desperate to fix whatever was going wrong, but Chomp would not let go of his arm. No matter how hard Seth pried on the Triceratop's mouth, Chomp would not budge.

"That's it Chomp! You can do it!" Max continued to cheer. "Don't let him go!"

The controls began to fry themselves as smoke rolled out from various parts. The sparks began to slow down as the pillar in the middle of the room showed that the time machine had turned itself off.

"Guys look!" Zoe called as she looked over the side of the ship. The group rushed to see what the pink-haired girl was talking about. The vines and vegetation that were beginning to take over the city were beginning to recede. The dinosaurs began to fade back out of view.

"Everything's going back to normal," Rex pointed out.

"He did it!" Ren smiled in relief. "Max did it!"

"Yeah, but what about Seth? What happened to him?" Gabriel asked.

"Chances are Max still needs our help, let's go!" Rex took the lead.

"Right," Rod, Laura, Ren, Zoe, and Dr. Taylor nodded, and they followed Rex to meet back up with Max.

With the power of the time machine failing, the electric field that was surrounding Max also disappeared. Max went to confront Seth, who was still struggling to get Chomp off of his arm.

"Looks like your plan failed, Seth," Max told the scientist. A rip in time appeared before Seth because of the backlash from the time machine malfunction. Seth looked at the newly created time portal, then at Chomp, then at Max.

"I wouldn't be so sure," Seth sneered before he jumped into the portal with Chomp.

"No, Chomp!" Max called as he reached out and grabbed the small Triceratops by his back legs. Max struggled to pull Chomp back out from the portal. He felt himself sliding in towards the portal. Max now had his front half in the portal. He stared at Seth who was on the other side of Chomp, being sucked in by whatever's one the other side.

"Let go of Chomp, Seth. It's over," Max ordered Seth.

"Never! I'll see a world filled with my evolved dinosaurs if it's the last thing I do!" Seth growled at Max.

"No, you won't, because I'll just keep stopping you!" Max declared. He felt himself being pulled into the vortex further. Just then another force grabbed onto his back leg, stopping him from falling in further.

"Max!" Rex called as he grabbed one of his friend's back legs. Gabriel held onto the other. Zoe and Ren held onto Rex and Gabriel. Dr. Taylor held onto the girls, while Rod, Laura, and Helga pulled from the back.

"Just hang on!" Ren told Max.

"We're here for you!" Zoe added. Max glared at Seth, now knowing that his friends have his back.

"I love dinosaurs, but even I don't want to see a world filled with ones that you created," Max glared. "You have no right to do that to them, ever! And you can bet that I won't stop fighting until I stop you!"

Seth struggled to pull himself closer to Chomp to push Max's hands of off the Triceratops so both he could take Chomp into the past with him and leave Max behind. However, Chomp had a different plan. The small Triceratops let go of Seth's arm, and Seth slipped away down the wormhole. Max and Chomp flung back into the present.

"I've got you, Chomp," Max told his dinosaur. Max smiled at the group that stopped him from falling in. "Thanks, you, guys."

"Phew, that was close," Dr. Taylor said with relief.

"I'm glad you made it," Rex smiled.

"Chomp, I'm so glad you're safe," Max said as he pulled the Triceratops into a hug. The portal disappeared and the machine began to spark again.

"Uh oh," Zoe said.

"Run!" Ren hollered. The copied stones flew out of their places and the time machine began to malfunction again.

"Quick! We have to put the original stones into the console, or else the whole machine will explode!" Rod told the others. Max, Rex, and Zoe pulled their stones out of their dino holders. Rod and Dr. Taylor pulled the water and fire stones from the Alpha Scanners they were holding. Ren popped off the card attachment on her stone. Everyone put their stones in their respective places on the console. They began to fit together like a puzzle in a circle around a centerpiece. The machine recognized the original stones and began to cooldown. The crisis was adverted. The group sighed in relief.

"Purring like an atomic powered kitten again," Dr. Taylor said.

"Right...," Ren told Dr. Taylor.

"Where did Seth go?" Rex asked.

"He got sucked up into that time portal," Max said, pointing at where the portal once was.

"Just remember kids, that's what happens to people like that," Dr. Taylor said.

"Yeah, I don't think that's how that works," Gabriel rolled his eyes.

Suddenly, a panel in a wall opened up and a brilliant light shone from it. It practically blinded everyone who turned to look at it. Rex shielded his eyes and squinted.

"Something's coming out of the light!" he exclaimed. There was a small room fill with pods. Two people laid inside two of the pods.

"So, who are they?" Ren asked pointing at the people. Rod and Laura frowned, looking at the ground, before turning to Rex and Ren.

"Ren, Rex," Rod began. "That's your parents." The Owen siblings' eyes widened as the glass doors on the pods slid open and the figured opened their eyes. They stepped out from the pods and noticed the group standing there watching them. They recognized the grandchildren of Dr. Z immediately.

"Hello there, Laura and Rod," Dr. Cretacia greeted.

"Welcome back!" Rod smiled.

"Hello Mrs. Ancient!" Laura beamed.

"I'm glad you are safe and sound," Helga stated. Rex and Ren stood there stunned, neither not knowing what to say.

"Come on Rex," Max nudged his best friend. "Introduce yourself."

"You too, Ren. Don't you want to say hi?" Zoe asked.

"Your names are Ren and Rex?" Dr. Cretacia asked. She placed a hand on the dinosaur tooth around Rex's neck. "Can it be? I know that amulet."

"Yeah," Dr. Ancient agreed, he looked over to Ren, who for the most part was avoiding eye contact.

"Oh, Rex, Ren! It is you, isn't it?" Dr. Cretacia cheered. Ren finally looked up at the two people. Dr. Cretacia and Dr. Ancient just pulled their kids into a hug.

"Look how big you've grown," Dr. Ancient told them. The reunited family began to cry with tears of joy. In fact, everyone in the room was.

"No tears, this is a happy moment," Dr. Taylor said, but he was mainly talking to himself. A family once all lost, now together, reunited, found.

The next day, Max, Zoe, and Gabriel were helping the Ancients put all of the dinosaur cards back into the egg-shaped capsules that they came in.

"What do you mean you're leaving today?" Max asked the siblings.

"When did that happened?" Zoe asked.

"Well, Mom and Dad said we've got to go right away," Rex informed.

"It's a bit sudden, isn't it?" Gabriel questioned as he put a water dinosaur card into a capsule.

"Yeah, but Dr. Ancient- er- Dad said it was something about the Backlander being in this time period way too long," Ren said as she capsuled a fire dinosaur.

"What's a Backlander?" Max raised an eyebrow.

"Oh. That's the actual name of the time machine," Rex filled in the details.

"And they still think it's going to work?" Gabriel continued to question.

"Apparently," Ren shrugged. "They say it seems alright. It went haywire because of those stones that Seth made to make it work." A chuckle from behind, caught the attention of the five children. It was Johnathan, good as new.

"Glad to see Johnathan's up and running again," Zoe said.

"Yeah, Dad was able to fix him after being so badly damaged," Rex replied.

"Just about done with the last systems check!" Rod piped up from across the room.

"Then it's time to hit the road!" Laura cheered. The two were excited that they could finally see their parents again after such a long time.

"I'll miss Rex and Ren," Max told Zoe. "Ace and Ebony, too." Max looked down at Chomp, Paris, Ace, and Ebony all playing together.

"I'm so impressed that you were able to collect all of these dinosaurs," Dr. Ancient told the kids as he looked at the pile of capsules. "You kids had done a fantastic done. Really great!"

"Well, we never could've done it without a lot of help from Chomp and Ace and Ebony and Paris!" Max smiled.

"That's not all, Laura and Rod helped us out, too!" Zoe said. She looked over at them, but they just frowned.

"The whole thing would've been a lot easier if your grandpa wasn't such a problem," Laura admitted in a guilty tone of voice. "Sorry, guys."

"Or if I didn't originally side with Seth and make things even more difficult," Gabriel told the D-Team.

"Don't worry about it. I'm just glad that we all got to be friends!" Max beamed.

"Speaking of Dr. Z, the old lady, and the other two where'd they go?" Zoe asked.

"Don't worry, Helga's making sure that those four get a good punishment for their actions," Rod chuckled.

In a separate branch of the ship, Helga stand standing outside a door to a room that was boarded up from the outside. Dr. Z, Ursula, Ed, and Zander pounded on the door from the inside.

"Come on Helga, you can't send me to me room like this! I'm the king of this castle and no one gets to boss me around!" Dr. Z wailed.

"Come on you three, you can do better than that! Get this door open!" Ursula commanded. "Come on! I really have to get out of here!"

"Come on, Helga! Can't you tell she's claustrophobic?" Zander asked through the door.

"Yeah, I'm scared of Santa, too!" Ed cried. Suddenly, the door burst open as Helga ripped the boards off the board. she stood fuming in the doorway.

"I have heard enough of your complaining! Yours too, old lady," Helga sneered at Ursula before slamming the door shut again. The three guys just froze in fear as they slowly turned around to face the wrath that was going to be Ursula.

"Did you just hear Helga say what I thought I just heard her say?" Ursula asked with steam coming out of her nose and ears. "I am not an old lady!"

Ursula's screech was loud enough for the whole ship to hear, causing the D-Team, Rod, Laura, and Gabriel to snicker at it.

"All systems are primed and ready. Go ahead and insert the stones into the main console," Johnathan informed.

"Ready to go you two?" Max asked Ren and Rex.

"Yeah, are you, Ren?" Rex looked at his sister.

"It fells odd. Everything this past year," Ren commented. "Moving randomly to Japan, to your specific town. I already had a dinosaur of my own. I became friends with you guys, who also have dinosaurs. One of which happens to be my long-lost brother. My adoptive family signs custody over to my brother's adoptive father. Then we learn that we're from the future. And now, we're actually going there. My whole life has been flipped upside down. But no matter what life throws at me, I've got a pretty awesome brother by my side." Ren chuckled before throwing an arm around Rex's shoulders and pointing to him with her thumb.

"You're not going to get all mushy, are you?" Rex asked with a laugh.

"'Coarse not," Ren replied.

"And neither am I, because I know we'll see you guys again," Rex told Max, Zoe, and Gabriel.

"For sure," Max nodded.

"That's right," Zoe added on. "With the time machine, you guys can visit us anytime, and Ace and Ebony can visit Chomp and Paris, too!"

"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid all of you must give up your dinosaurs," Dr. Cretacia intruded on the conversation.

"Wait, what?" Max asked.

"Those dinosaur cards were created as a way of preserving the species. You'll have to give them back so we can keep them in a safe place forever," Dr. Ancient told the kids.

"What?' Gabriel asked as if he didn't just hear the reason why.

"No, I can't," Max told them, disappointment in his voice.

"They're our friends," Zoe said softly. The group of kids watched Chomp, Paris, Ace, and Ebony play. Gabriel took out his Olorotitan card and stared at it.

"That means, I'll never see Chomp again," Max said, about to tear up.

"Or Paris," Zoe already was crying.

"Or Odis," Gabriel said as he summoned Odis into his chibi form.

"Chomp... Oh Chomp," Max began to cry as he picked up the small Triceratops.

"Paris!" Zoe wailed as she picked up the Parasaurolophus.

"Odis," Gabriel said, somehow not showing any emotion as he knelt down beside the Olorotitan as pet it.

"Chomp, I'm really going to miss you pal, but I'll never forget all of the awesome times we had together," Max told the Triceratops. The small dinosaur looked at Max and then began to chomp on the boy's nose just as if they were playing.

"My sweet Paris, you take care," Zoe said as she held Paris in a tight hug.

"Odis, we may have had a rocky start and how we found each other wasn't under the best motives, but you've been a wonderful partner that I grew to lean on," Gabriel told the Olorotitan.

"Ace, buddy, you've been a best friend to me and I'm really going to miss you," Rex told the Carnotaurus as he held Ace in his arms.

Ren knelt down by the Stegosaurus. "Ebony, you've been my oldest friend for almost as long as I can remember, but you're going to be just fine, and so will I. I just know it."

With their final goodbyes said, the five kids returned their dinosaurs to their cards. With a bittersweet ending to their journey, they handed the cards and stones over to Dr. Ancient.

"You promise you'll take good care of them?" Max asked.

Dr. Ancient smiled down at Max, "Yes."

Dr. Taylor, Max, Zoe, and Gabriel walked over to the transporter that will take them back down to the ground. They all took one final glance at the people from the future.

"Wait, Dr. Taylor!" Rex called to the paleontologist before they disappeared. "Call our dad in New York, tell him what happened and that we'll see him as soon as we can."

"Will do, Rex," Dr. Taylor told the boy.

"See ya later, you two," Max told Rex and Ren.

"See you in the future," Gabriel winked.

"Bye everyone!" Zoe called. With that, Dr. Taylor and the three kids were transported back onto the ground. Ren glanced over at Rex.

"Well, there they go," she told her brother.

"Yeah, but like I said, we'll see them again one day," Rex assured his sister.

"I know, bro," Ren replied.

"I'm excited to head back to the future!" Laura chimed.

"Yeah, no time would've passed for Mom and Dad, but a lot of time sure has passed for us, huh Laura?" Rod asked his sibling.

"What's the future like?" Rex asked.

"There's always so many things to do!" Laura chimed in. "It really makes this timeline really boring."

Ren giggled, "I guess we should get going then.

Dr. Taylor, Max, Zoe, and Gabriel teleported back right in front of the Taylor household where Aki and Mr. and Mrs. Drake where waiting.

"My goodness, you're all safe!" Aki told them.

"Mom!" Max cheered as he ran to give his mother a hug.

"We all witnessed the city being turned into a jungle!" Aki exclaimed. "What happened?"

"That's a long story," Gabriel replied.

"And who might you be?" Aki asked. "And Spike, where are Rex and Ren? And what happened to the doggies?"

"I'm Gabriel Dallison, pleasure to meet your acquaintance, Mrs. Taylor," Gabriel introduce. "I was in Ren's homeroom class."

"As for Ren, Rex, and the dogs, they're all up there," Dr. Taylor replied pointing to the Backlander in the sky. The ship emanated a shining light. The light washed around the globe. Any damage that was done because of the dinosaurs was fixed.

"Bye Rex. Bye Ren," Max said into the sky.

"And Rod and Laura," Gabriel added.

"And Paris, and Ebony," Zoe continued to add. The Backlander began to move.

"And Odis and Ace," Gabriel kept listing. A bright flash could be visible in the sky as the Backlander shot off into the next time period. Gone.

"And Chomp," Max finished. "At least for now."

"I know we'll see you soon," Zoe said.

"But for now, we're all still united," Max said into the now-empty sky. "United in dinosaurs."

CLOSING A/N: Wow, what a wild ride. This story has finally rounded itself out. It's been a crazy several years. I've met so many people on this Dinosaur King journey that I'm so glad to have met. I dearly love my two characters that I've made for this story, Ren and Gabriel. It was the aspect of wanting to explore their characters more that kept bringing me back from my hiatuses. Gabirel in particular, because I've always had the plan that he'll learn that Seth with betraying his and have this character arc of flipping sides. He does have a spot in Season 2, though he may be a little less prominent. Idk yet. I need to work through that some more.

Speaking of! Season 2! Yes, I will be continuing this OC insert story, but not in this book! I'm going to be creating a whole separate book for Season 2, because this one is already as long as it is. Season 2's official name will be "Race for the Dinosaurs." It'll become prominent early Season 2 why that's the name instead of waiting the entire season to figure out why I named Season 1 "United in Dinosaurs." I literally had that ending line in my brain for the last three years.

There will be a link posted in a separate chapter for my readers on Quotev for the book for Season 2. For my readers on FanFiction, you can find it my clicking on my name and it will take you to my home page.

Some teasers for Season 2:

- Main dinosaurs! Some characters may or may not be getting a dino swap at some point in the story! This is going to cause a lot of controversy, and I'm already prepared for the backlash I'm going to receive. It's like that saying, "Trust the process," because I am going to be bombarded in my comments and reviews about this decision, and I know it.

- New Space Pirate? Probably not. Though there are four protagonists, I like the original three's dynamic, and it works with the plotline I've already made better than if I were just to add a fourth one.

- No skipped episodes! Because the way S2 works, skipping episodes isn't really something I can do here, so you will be receiving a full season!

Onto more news! I am rewriting the entirety of Dinosaur King AGAIN with my friend JLJ, Jess, Tep, idk her name keeps changing. Our collaboration story will also be on Quotev posted by both of us and FanFiction posted by me, and it will be titled "Universes Combine," as it is a mashup of our two Dinosaur King worlds. We've been doing some roleplays over the last several years and I'm so excited to share the dynamic many of our characters share. More teasers down below

Universes Combine teasers:

- Possibly more ship-heavy than UiD. I see it being more so, but like not too crazy.

- Ren starts out with the D-Team in "Prehistory in the Making." That's right! No weird introductory chapter that I completely forget about and accidentally make it a plot hole because Ren is older than most of the D-Team, so I don't have them sharing a class... oops.

- Ren using a dino holder. WHAT? That's right, because she will find her dinosaur at the same time as another OC in an original episode, Ren will have no idea how the stone really works and will be using a dino holder like the others throughout the series.

- Fusion dinosaur? Maybe ;)

One more thing, REQUESTS! I will be taking requests for episodes that I skipped out on. I know I missed many fan favorite episodes such as "Tee'd Off," "No Free Lunch," "Loch Ness Mess," and "Santa Saurus," just to name a few. Request an episode by leaving a comment or review and I'll do it as a "special" when I can get around to it.

With that, "United in Dinosaurs" has come to a close. I'd like to thank all of my amazing readers for this journey, whether we've been here from Day 1 three years ago, or just started reading, I wouldn't have had the passion to continue this story without you. I can't wait to "make my move" into "Race for the Dinosaurs" and "Universes Combine," and I hope you all join me for this ride.
