*QUICK NOTE* Before I dive into the details, for new readers that are just stumbling upon this, the entirety of Sugar Rush has been upgraded and they are ADULTS. I have ten years built into this saga and am extremely careful with these details and do not advocate for fics that condone little Vanellope with adult Ralph - I am absolutely against that version of the ship. I probably should make that way more clear, in the beginning of each story in the saga, but any nasty reviews blindly made before reading a single word of the nearly 4 million I've written will be happily deleted! :)

IF YOU'RE NEW HERE : WELCOME! Unfortunately, you've reached the 5th book in this saga. Please start at Wrecking Limits, and work your way back to this point! See you in the next year or two! *grits teeth* No sarcasm, there!

In all seriousness, glad to have you aboard :D ENJOY!

A/N :

Alright guyyyyys IT'S HERE! Hopefully you guys are as excited as I am. As you all probably know, I'm a student at Ringling College of Art and Design - I'll be writing and uploading through my final 1st year semester, my schedule will be a NEW chapter every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I already have over a month's worth of chapters written, for Favor's Game, so I don't have to panic and play catch up.

Out of the Blue's FINAL sketchdump will be posted to my deviantART on MONDAY the 1st, my username there is Vyntresser

AND, lastly, for those of you that want a solid look at Favor's Game's cover art, as well as a ton of other character (and even school) art, PLEASE keep up with my Instagram username Vyntastic ! I get a lot of messages asking what certain characters look like, or even if I can draw certain scenes, and a majority of the time, I already have. So check out my Instagram if you're curious, I have an asinine amount of artwork over there and a majority of it is saga art!

Thanks again guys! Let the games begin!

*Favor's Game*

*Chapter 1*

Crystal blue skies, looming, mirror-faced towers, Vanellope casually trolled through downtown Vidrix on a lazy, warm, Sunday morning. Although it had only been about a week since Turbotime had been plugged in, Vidrix City was already bustling with all sorts of life from gamers who hailed from other cabinets inside Litwak's Arcade. Although city life was loud and bustling, the sound of car horns, the smell of exhaust, the mild shoulder-to-shoulder rub of strangers and other pedestrians deep in Vidrix's gridded city, Vanellope smiled in flippant glee. Although she had come out to Vidrix with no one but herself and Boss, she felt thrilled to get out and explore a game with such crazy lore, what once was the core of scary bedtime stories, Turbo's home game glowed with a sunny, blue reversal. As Vanellope's hazel eyes got lost in the incredibly gorgeous, glassy towers all around her, as well as the exciting, blinding lights of city ads and panning screens of all sorts of different Arcade destinations, she did what she could to bob and weave through the crowd without getting too lost in her thoughts.

Wearing her shiny new racing coat, a beautiful, white, short sleeved piece lined with expensive gold fabric and clad with her racing numbers, name and sponsors, she strut with girly pride and pressed on with confidence. Although she wanted to attribute her confidence to the fact that she was out exploring a brand new game all by her lonesome, alongside the fact that gawking strangers were leaving her well enough alone, she chalked it up to the fact that she was being skillfully tailed by Boss, Lickity's mate. A big, brooding, dark chocolate bat dragon with well-concealed fangs and a powerful stride, he kept his vivid blue eyes tight to Vanellope and allowed his wings and tail sails to remain tucked tight to his body. Knowing that there was definitely a purpose to visiting Vidrix City this morning, he almost was hoping Vanellope had plans for staying a little longer than their quick, intended errand; the lovely morning air just begged the two to take a spin around the city. Boss perked his larger bat ears in curiousity as Vanellope's phone began to ring, and though she uttered a playfully annoyed groan out to the air before her, she finally answered it.

"WHAT, for User's sakes, whaaat do you waaant," Vanellope playfully droned as she tucked her phone to her ear, she grinned in teasing delight and was fully anticipating the impending wrath to hail down on her like hell fire.

"... UH, what I WANT is for you to drop the sass," Taffyta shouted, both girls fell into a fit of giggling as Taffyta's stern voice carried on, "Look, I'm due to popping TOMORROW. Today is the last day I'm allowing myself to stuff my face full of those... Those... DELECTABLE chocolates. I'm calling to make sure you get the right ones."

"You want the ones with the green sprinkles, right?" Vanellope volleyed nonchalantly, she knew that was the wrong answer, though pushing Taffyta's buttons seemed to be on the agenda, from here on out.

"PINK, PINK sprinkles, I knew I should've come with," Taffyta grunted, "I blame Callum."

"You REALLY gunna sit here and blame your poor, innocent, unborn son," Vanellope muttered, Taffyta could be heard heaving an exasperated sigh, "It's REALLY your fault for giving him a chocolate-esque middle name... Coupled with Rancis's last name, you really brought it upon yourself."

"Hey, I named Wren in such a way to honor Rancis... Though, this time around," Taffyta droned on, to which Vanellope moved her phone to her other ear and rolled her eyes as she pressed closer to her destination, "Rancis let me have fun. Hey, we're from Sugar Rush. I gotta put sweets somewhere in my kin's name, toots. Unlike you, you're just PROGRAMMED with it."

"Damn straight," Vanellope sneered with a smile, to which Taffyta huffed a sharp, annoyed sigh.

"PINK sprinkles... The white chocolate polar bear paws with the pink sprinkles," Taffyta urgently reminded, and though Vanellope was tempted to pretend to mishear, she let it slide due to not wanting Taffyta to pop a forehead vein, "Oh-oh! And, if they have any of those like... Twizzler things Turbo brought home that one day? You remember?"

"How could I forget?" Vanellope gawked with a grin as her eyes laid on the little confectionary just ahead, "Y'know, Sugar Rush is LOADED with shops similar to this one... Why does Vidrix only have ONE dinky little confectionary and it's nearly eons better than anything we can find in Sugar Rush?"

"I don't know, but I now fully understand why all those Turbotime boys wanted the game back, so badly," Taffyta chuckled under her breath, "You headed home straight after this?"

"Yeah, I'm gunna get myself some candy as well, is... Is it okay if I come chill with you and Rancis today?" Vanellope stated in a pleading, gentle tone, though as she rolled up to the little, run down shop, she eased to a gentle halt a ways away from the front door and meandered, in which Boss finally caught up with her and sat on his hind legs in patient wait. Vanellope heaved a shaky sigh and lovingly rested her hand to Boss's velvety, dark brown snout, "I-I just... Would love some company."

"... Ralph still hogging the house?" Taffyta mumbled in irritation, "Y'know, you DO live there, too. I have half a mind to march over there, you know how scared he is of me when I'm pregnant."

"... Taffyta, EVERYONE is scared of you, pregnant or not," Vanellope barked a laugh and stuck close to Boss's figure, people continued to pass her by.

"Y'sic Zed on him yet, then?" Taffyta wondered, to which Vanellope rolled her eyes and lulled them closed.

"Yeah, well... Zed's been in on the drama, I have some ground work to do for myself, anyways," Vanellope stated in great regret, though she eyed the shop and gestured to it, "Alright, I'm... I'm at the shop, I'll text you once I'm back at the palace."

"WHITE CHOCOLATE WITH PINK SPRINKLES," Taffyta loudly yelled, causing Vanellope to yank her phone away from her head in eye-bulged, ear splitting shock, though instead of continuing the conversation properly, she yelled back into the receiver.

"SIR YES SIR," Vanellope blurt, and with a stifled laugh, she hung up on Taffyta; Boss cocked an eyebrow and allowed his fangs to show in a cute smile.

"I dare you to get the dark chocolate with green sprinkles," Boss's deep voice reverberated against Vanellope's core, in which she rolled her eyes and sagged her hand to Boss's snout, once more.

"I have half a mind to, truly," Vanellope cued with a small laugh as she stepped into the shop, "I'll be back, Boss."

"Aye, captain," Boss stated cutely with a nod, to which he sat a bit tighter within his wings and cautiously looked about the sidewalk area just outside of the shop Vanellope had vanished into.

Boss laid his ears flat, sat a little higher and gently got a good look about. With a vibe very similar to Orion City, Boss kindly assessed his surroundings; Vidrix City was clad with gorgeous, white sky scrapers, a glassy show of a mirrored fun house, as if the kiss of said tall buildings simply melted into the atmosphere above and showed no true end. Boss shifted on his feet a little, and though he was grateful he was left alone, for the most part, he looked about in soft contemplation and almost had to side with Vanellope in the vein of not truly wanting to go home. Although entirely thrilled Orion was successfully revived to the grid, thus living happily amongst everyone, on palace grounds, Boss felt the creeping frustration crawl over him, of having to fight for territory all over again. Although he was clearly no match for a beast such as Orion, and Orion was a cranky individual who enjoyed being left alone entirely, he still felt on edge having Orion so close. Before Boss could get too lost in his own nervous thoughts, he perked up as Vanellope finally came back out of the shop.

"Alright, my guy, open up, I gotcha a treat," Vanellope chimed sweetly as she approached, she dug into the thicker grocery bag she had acquired and pulled out a long rope of gummy goodness. A huge, long gummy worm that would normally be way too huge for any normal gamer to eat in one sitting, it was the perfect size for a dragon. Boss grinned in excited delight and easily opened his mouth, and upon revealing the scariness of his huge fangs, Vanellope grimaced and easily tossed said huge gummy worm into Boss's mouth. With ease, he sagged in gooey delight and chewed whilst Vanellope cued her's and Ralph's vivid purple coding on her palm "Alright, I'm... I'm going to ATTEMPT this whole inventory thing that Lash had taught everyone."

With a pop of her purple coding, she took a few steps away from Boss and grit her teeth in concentration. With success, she flinched in whole surprise and was excited to quickly bring about a cute holographic display just to her side. As a proper inventory, it looked small and rudimentary, as if it had the capabilities of expanding. Feeling successful no matter what, having only just gotten around to truly perfecting this maneuver, she sagged her bag of candy into her coded inventory and allowed it to dissipate with the disappearance of her lovely purple coding. She raised her eyebrows in glee and peered to Boss, though as he finished chewing, she sagged her shoulders and peered back to the shop in which she had just returned from.

"Alright, dude, let's..." Vanellope inhaled a deep, shaky breath and concluded her statement through a long sigh of dread, "Head home, I guess."

"Do we gotta?" Boss mumbled sadly, Vanellope tsked him a noise and rolled her eyes.

"Yes, because the guy behind the counter gave me his number," Vanellope muttered, and though she'd never act on it, she leaned closer to Boss and ushered him a teasing whisper, "We need to leave so I don't do something stupid."

"At least Ralph doesn't have some kickass ex-girlfriend living on your territory," Boss mumbled in irritation, and though Boss knew that him and Vanellope could easily take to the skies right from where they were standing, they began walking in the direction of the small park they had previously flown into, making it much easier for taking off and landing.

"Aw, c'mon, Orion's not so bad," Vanellope prod as her and Boss fell into step next to each other, though Boss rolled his eyes and sagged.

"I mean, ever since Orion was revived, it's ALL Chester and Royal can talk about, they're constantly bugging him. I certainly don't blame them, it's incredible they can have Orion back," Boss mumbled sadly, Vanellope easily kept pace with him though he aimlessly looked off and frowned, "Don't get me wrong, I'm THRILLED both boys can rekindle a new relationship with their actual father and grandfather, I just..."

"Feel second best?" Vanellope wondered dryly, she inhaled a deep breath, expanded her chest and bobbed a certain nod, "Yep, I mean... My situation is not the same, but I hear yah."

"Yeah, you're being pursued by men whilst you're clearly wearing your wedding ring? Some balls," Boss barked a laugh, though Vanellope urgently looked down to her left hand and bugged her eyes in hot dread; she had forgotten to put it on this morning. Boss raised his eyebrows and finally choked a louder laugh through his fangs, he looked away as the two continued to saunter on, together, "Hooo man. Never mind, then. You woke up and said 'SCREW this marriage! Imma go out to Vidrix and get what I want'."

"That was NOT my intention and you know it," Vanellope muttered, she furiously crossed her arms and muttered to herself, "No wonder I've been getting hit on..."

"This is a regular thing?" Boss wondered with a nervous grin as he tried to contain his laughter.

"No, no, it's... Seriously, I'm not meaning to," Vanellope pleaded, to which Boss bobbed an understanding nod, "I genuinely took it off cause Ralph said he was going to clean and polish my ring. He made his look all new and shiny, a few weeks ago, and I've been meaning to ask him to do mine."

"A likely story," Boss mumbled, though it was clear he was only kidding, he nervously looked off and cued to her's and Taffyta's previous phone conversation, "You, uh... Think Taffyta and Rancis would let me hang out with you guys today?"

"You REALLY want to avoid Orion THAT badly?" Vanellope cutely giggled, with care, she allowed her fingers to catch with Boss's large bat ear with aimless, caressing care, "I'm sure they'd be fine having you over. We can all sit around Taffyta's island and gossip about our problems and stuff our faces with candy."

"Seems minuscule to what we had been going through last week," Boss bobbed a nod and smiled into Vanellope's eyes, "New season, new problems."

"C'mon, let's go. That wasn't the only gummy worm I got you," Vanellope cued sweetly as they approached the gorgeous, grassy park. Boss perked up, stood a bit straighter and cutely bounced out into the grass with his wings sprawled, the gorgeous pops of cerulean blues on his ventral nearly matched the sky above. Vanellope firmly pat the side of Boss's neck and mounted his spine in readiness for take off, "Let's get home. That kitchen island has our names on it."

"Yeah, I wanna hear what Taffyta has to say about you getting some random Turbotime citizen's phone number," Boss erupted with laughter once more, though before he took off, Vanellope grit her teeth and looked off in rising nervousness.

"Yeahhh that might be something that just stays between you and me," Vanellope muttered, and before Boss could either agree or disagree, he took a running lunge and easily lofted to Vidrix's glassy, gorgeous surroundings, set sail for Sugar Rush.
