*Chapter 22*

With one single glow of a homey light, across the bedroom, the majority of the rest of the world was entirely shut off. In the mess of blankets, the strewn display of bikinis tried on and thus eagerly ripped off, Ralph's and Vanellope's temporary love nest was haphazardly littered with proper signs and pathways of proper love making, a route of messy, aimless direction that took them all about their lovely abode. Black downs, cream sheets, a wreck of pillows and blankets strewn about their King sized bed, the feet of the bed frame began to croak in well-worn use against the wooden floors underneath, hexagonal patterns of tiled wood that made up the expansion of their temporary home. With a huge floor to ceiling window, across their bedroom, to let in the glint of Vidrix's gorgeous moonlight and cityscape, the two coat a ten foot radius of a bubble with the warm, lovely sound of simmered romance. The whispery, mumbly usher of each other's names, the escape of hot air from the backs of their tired throats, an expansion of heated love that easily included the sweep of grippy hands upon bare skin, slow movement that had the bed continuing on with it's little song of compliance about the tiled wood below.

With Ralph's large figure sat slouched, though upright against their headboard, his massive hands grappled at the drape of Vanellope's thighs over his lap. Her little hands and fingers eagerly dragged down Ralph's strong, bare chest, the gentle sink into his hefty collar bones and into the squish of his pecks, her little voice emit a raspy huff of his name amidst a bashful, gape of a smile on her pink mouth. In the catch of their eyes, hazed eye contact with broadened pupils in their dim surroundings, Vanellope's gorgeous black hair was messy about her face. In the lift and return to Ralph's lap, his large, grippy figures guided her in firm tugs of keeping time, slow and easy digs tight into her soul, a continuous string of perfect love making that was now pushing midnight. Ralph allowed his skull to thud the headboard, and as he tilted his head and glossed his lovely brown eyes about her bare body, he brought his gaze back to her face and narrowed his eyes in lovestruck disbelief. He shook his head with a sighing, shaky, panting chuckle and gripped her bare hips with the promise of returned fervor, though he slowed her movements to a squirming stop.

"What's that look for?" Vanellope stated through a whispery few breaths, she panted and gave him a toothy little grin as she bit her lip and continued to slide the firm press of her hands up and down Ralph's chest, "Y'look like you have a secret..."

"No secrets," Ralph whispered, his powerful chest expanded as he, too, did what he could to collect his breath. He breathed a shaky chuckle and slid his patient, large hands up the dip of Vanellope's small, bare back. Up and down in a soothing motion of never-ending warmth, he shook his head in continued disbelief and lulled his eyes closed as their prominent connection throbbed, "I just... Can't believe you're all mine."

"Nothing will change that," Vanellope whispered in tender return, she leaned forward a little and was thrilled to catch Ralph in a gentle kiss. His large hands slid up to her bare upper back, and as he cupped her deeper into his big body, the two tilted in the gape of their continued, passionate kiss. Vanellope hummed a giggle through her nose and allowed for a few innocent pecks to cease their kiss, "I still have one more bikini to show you..."

"There are far more pressing matters, my love," Ralph chuckled into her face, a tender deliverance of words just above a whisper; he tensed his core, leaned up and caught her in yet another few kisses, thus deepening their connection. Vanellope inhaled a sharp breath and resisted in the form of pushing her little hands to Ralph's strong shoulders, though he easily enveloped her in his care and adjusted his sitting position a little. Vanellope eased a giggle on his mouth as she lovingly slid her arms about his thick neck, and as the two parted amidst their nudge of noses and the drape of their arms in an eternal embrace, Ralph carried on as Vanellope sweetly wove her fingers into his thick auburn hair, on the back of his head, "I'm grateful for the firewalls Lash put in place, because, if it weren't for it, well..."

"Loading bar," Vanellope whispered in a teasing fashion as she wrinkled her nose and further smushed it into his, though in the gentle hover of their thick, gentle silence, Vanellope fluttered her eyes and felt her heart begin to race with the rise of the topic. She trailed her fingers about the back of Ralph's head, in aimless delight, and lovingly pet him in a show of contemplative thought. She opened her mouth and faltered on a breath, she hesitated initially, though as Ralph's eyes patiently gripped to hers, she furrowed her brow in a ping of innocent curiosity and hovered tight in his lovely warmth. She whispered him a shy notion of question, her heart thumped in her chest, "You, uh... Wouldn't mind that, would you?"

"A loading bar? Now?" Ralph questioned gently, to which Vanellope shrugged her cute shoulders and nodded with a glint of hopefulness to her eyes. Ralph remained still in contemplation for a moment before he breathed a chuckle, tensed once more and now began to sit upright in the act of readying himself to lay Vanellope on her back. With the sag of her body to the messy downs, the grip of her legs about Ralph's hips, the two eased in small groans and gasps as Ralph's figure dug deeper into Vanellope's upon resting atop her. With the hover of his much larger upper body as he rested on his lower arms and elbows, he cocooned his bride under his protection as his massive hands and fingers began to lovingly tend to Vanellope's messy hair now splayed on the bed underneath her. He eased a chuckle, got comfortable within the spread of her legs and fluttered his eyes as his deep, shy voice carried on, "You think we're ready? We really gunna do this right now?"

"Are YOU ready?" Vanellope wondered gently, she reached up and cutely tidied the messy auburn hair on the crown of Ralph's head, and though his eyes twinkled with hope, she could see him sag and aimlessly look about Vanellope's bare collar in soft searching. Vanellope finally eased a gentle giggle of warm defeat and shook her head, "I think I'm probably the only one, in this equation, that's ready, huh... It's okay if you're not, babe."

"Yeah, I'm..." Ralph almost frowned, narrowed his gaze and finally shook his head in tender defeat. He exhaled a long sigh, warmly stroked Vanellope's cheek with his big thumb and smiled into her eyes with the utmost easiness and apology. His heart raced in delight, the sheer idea that this little topic, they had been dancing around, was up for grabs, a notion that could easily be realized, his heart began to swell with the idea that he likely needed to heed his own warnings and truly listen to just what was being felt, as opposed to bending to the wants and desires of his bride. He sagged his shoulders, readjusted his positioning above Vanellope and finally gave her revitalized eye contact, "I'm not ready. It feels really weird saying that, I feel like a hypocrite."

"Well, why? You're not," Vanellope furrowed her brow and gave him an incredulous little look of cute forgiveness.

"Well, we already have three kids, I don't know," Ralph shrugged, Vanellope shook her head, "Feels weird to not be totally ready for a fourth."

"You're healing, it's totally fine, Ralph," Vanellope mumbled cutely, her able hands firmly stroked up and down Ralph's huge broad shoulders, the hefty collar bones that peaked from his skin, she delighted herself in the feel of the muscles that went along with it, "I'm ready when you are... There's no rush. That spare room isn't going anywhere."

"I can feel it upon us, but... I only just got good with Koko," Ralph mumbled with a nod, he leaned down and placed a few kisses to Vanellope's cheek, "We can take it slow..."

"That's not what you were saying ten minutes ago," Vanellope teased, she blurt a giggle as Ralph buried his face into her neck and began to playfully nibble at her skin. She scrunched in a show of beaming, sunny goodness, though as Ralph laughed along and readjusted his knees and the positioning of his hips, Vanellope gasped with a startled widen of her eyes. She grappled his upper arms, shook her head and shakily sighed upon the two easing into relaxation, once more. She rolled her eyes, rubbed her forehead in pure exhaust and smiled a dreamy smile into the lull of her closed eyes, "We'll go at your pace, Ralph. That doesn't bother me one bit."

"Can I tell you a secret?" Ralph whispered gently, he smiled into the nook of her neck and relished in the gentle rub of her little hand, up and down the back of his head.

"You can tell me anything," Vanellope daintily returned, to which Ralph shyly carried on as he lulled his eyes closed.

"Well, I... I have a name picked out," Ralph mumbled cutely, to which Vanellope raised her eyebrows and was sure she couldn't be more interested in this topic, until now.

"Ah yeah?" Vanellope cued as Ralph lifted his head and smiled into her eyes, he shyly nodded as her grin broadened, "Boy or girl?"

"Boy," Ralph eased, Vanellope raised her eyebrows and cutely made obvious that she was awaiting his reveal, "Well... There's a bit of a story behind it. The morning after Tessa saved Sugar Rush, I... I was up with the sun."

"I'm surprised, cause Zed deployed his melatonin trick on everyone's coding," Vanellope mumbled in giggling interject, to which Ralph rolled his eyes and eased his handsome, gap-toothed smile.

"I know, I don't think my coding got a big enough hit," Ralph complained cutely, though he shyly carried on, "Anyways, well... As the sun was rising, the stars obviously were fading, but there was one Sugar Rush constellation, directly overhead, that still stuck out. That day, when Sugar Rush was saved, fell over the winter equinox. It was the one constellation that is only visible during that week, it's at its brightest. It just felt rare, is all."

"Which constellation?" Vanellope prod with a great amount of warmth and curiosity, to which Ralph allowed his shy eyes to gloss Vanellope's collar for a moment before he cutely smiled into her eyes and quietly ushered his answer.

"Gideon," Ralph delicately introduced, to which Vanellope lulled her eyes closed in a flutter to cutely take it in. Ralph pretended to snap out of the sappy moment and looked off with a shy, grumbly conclusion, "I don't know, maybe I'm thinking too hard on it. I just felt as if it were special, and the name stuck with me. Kind of... Put it in my back pocket and hoped I could use it for a rainy day."

"I love it," Vanellope assured gently with a nod, "It's symbolic, it means a lot to you."

"I didn't really realize the weight of it all until just right now, I mean I genuinely just liked the name," Ralph grumbled with a cute laugh, one that had Vanellope's loving, renewed smile broadening, "I'm sure you have some names picked, too."

"I have a handful of girl names, but... I'm all for your suggestion, if we have a boy," Vanellope assured with an honest, humbled smile. She rubbed up and down Ralph's shoulders and cutely fiddled with his ear lobe, "I DID, after all, solidify Koko's name. You named Tessa, I named Oliver... It would only make sense that you have a heavier say, in our next child."

"That's generous of you," Ralph assured in a shy mumble, to which Vanellope inhaled a deep breath and relished in their still prominent connection.

"Gideon Schweetz," Vanellope sweetly drummed, she raised her eyebrows and fingered Ralph's jawline, "Alright. Got a boy's name down."

"Whatever we have will obviously be great," Ralph warmly concluded, he gave Vanellope a loving smile, "Thank you, for, well... Being patient with me."

"You just let me know when you're ready," Vanellope stated with a kind smile as she brushed her hand into Ralph's lovely hair. He lulled his eyes closed and leaned into her comfortable touch as she ushered him a tender conclusion, "The timing is yours to have... I'm on board when you are."

After a long few hours of a proper roundtable discussion with all of her valiant men and women, Tessa felt a proverbial weight lift off of her shoulders as she completed the last few rounds of code room cleanup, for the night. Sat in the huge dome of her gorgeous code room, the multitudinous amount of code boxes, that hovered over head, nearly rivaled the twinkling stars in the sky beyond them. With the glass of the code room's dome crystal clear, every single ounce of Sugar Rush's inner and outer workings smiled down upon Tessa as she remained, the last person to leave her code room for the night, she tied loose ends in her work, bookmarked a few things to do for tomorrow and finally allowed the dim glow of the code room to be sweetly ushered into a sleep mode. With one silent, final goodnight, Tessa marched to the operational doors of the code room, scanned her hand to the coded hand-print scanner and flinched amidst the whir of the large, round code room door coming to a gentle gape. Upon the reveal of the dim corridor that ultimately lead to the palace's teleportation pad, and the bend of the dining hall behind it, she stiffened in shock as to just who was patiently waiting on the other side of the door; Lickity Split.

Tessa raised her eyebrows, froze in her tracks, tugged her bigger hands to the center of her chest and nearly stood on her tip toes in a spike of cute, delightful surprise, though as Lickity's huge, adorable green eyes glossed to hers, alongside the sag of her wings, Tessa felt big, unexpected tears well in her eyes as a huge grin sprawled across her face. Lickity easily allowed her fangs to show, amidst a glowing smile as well, and before Tessa could think, she took a lunging few steps out of the gape of the code room's indestructible door and dove into Lickity's lovely, velvety, white fluffy mane. Lickity barked a small giggle, grappled her much larger paw about Tessa's back and squeezed Tessa into a tight hug as Tessa's arms did what they could to encompass about Lickity's thick, fluffy neck, unsuccessfully. Tessa squealed a girly giggle as Lickity cutely lifted Tessa off of her feet and swayed her a tiny bit, and with the return, Tessa eased away and peered into Lickity's eyes with teary, excited, twinkling question.

"... Got anything to tell me?" Tessa whispered shyly, her grin only broadened the second Lickity's did, along with a bashful eye roll.

"Due to your tears, I think it's clear you already know," Lickity mumbled quietly, although they were alone, they still were in the heart of the racer's private corridors.

"Come in, come in," Tessa hissed quietly as she cupped her hand under Lickity's chin and tugged a little. Upon release, both girls wormed into the gape of the code room's round room, and upon Tessa's reentry, the code room cutely broadened with a curious, dim glow of warm light, as if to politely question if everything was okay, due to being powered down not moments prior. One the code room doors sagged shut, Tessa peered into Lickity's eyes with an ever-widening grin and shook her head, "I want to hear you say it..."

"Guess what," Lickity cutely obliged after a sigh and a sassy, grinning eye roll.

"What," Tessa whispered as she bit her lip, clenched her fists and did a cute little dance.

"I'm pregnant," Lickity returned in whispery goodness, to which Tessa squealed a cute noise of excitement, bounced on her feet and dove into Lickity's embrace, once more. Lickity grinned, hugged Tessa's upper back, once more, and flattened her ears in their soft, swaying little embrace. Lickity tucked her chin over the back of Tessa's shoulder and lulled her eyes closed, "I... I can intuitively tell the gender, but if you want to do a proper reveal, here in the code room, you can."

"You already know what you're having?" Tessa wondered excitedly as she pulled away again, though in their hover, she allowed her silver coding to cue up the code room's main, thick artery of a wire. It leveled down to her in readiness and expanded Lickity's proper code box, alongside the adorable little box hovering near it, "How is that possible?"

"Well... Boss and I swapped the first night of our getaway, and it's been three weeks," Lickity mumbled cutely, to which Tessa gaped in surprise. Lickity shook her head and swat her wing at Tessa, a little, as if to insinuate she didn't want to be prod, "WHAT! Don't give me that look."

"You left, for three weeks, to just have a massive swap-fest?" Tessa argued as she gently tabbed to Lickity's code box options, which successfully allowed access to the smaller box that bobbed near by.

"Yeah, man, you should try it," Lickity hissed in dreamy delight, though she flinched with a hard laugh as Tessa swat at her bat snout.

"Yeah, and watch the game go up in flames," Tessa muttered cutely, to which Lickity cocked an eyebrow muscle and tightened her huge wings to her body.

"Oh, I'm sure Rancis and Turbo would be HONORED to hear that," Lickity mumbled sarcastically as Tessa finally pulled up the stats for Lickity's unborn coding, "They'd be thrilled that you think so highly of their ability."

"... It's a boy?" Tessa huffed shakily with a cute, teary smile, once more, completely bypassing Lickity's teasing words. Lickity beamed a cute smile and bobbed an eager nod as Tessa eagerly peered into the stats of Lickity's new pup's coding, "Due in a little less than three months, a perfect, healthy boy... What'll Royal say? He's gunna get a little brother!"

"Yeah, we... We JUST returned, Boss went to greet the gang in time for the hunt... I'm pretty sure Boss won't be able to contain the news," Lickity mumbled shyly, to which she narrowed her gaze and gave Tessa a warm look of tender understanding, "Tessa... We battled with just what to name this baby for the ENTIRE vacation."

"Really?" Tessa wondered in a slump of tendered softness, she glossed her eyes about her gorgeous code room and returned her humbled gaze to Lickity's beautiful green eyes, "Well... Maybe you'll just have to wait until you SEE him, y'know? Once he's born. Maybe a name will come to you, then."

"Tessa... Will you do the honors?" Lickity bashfully asked, to which Tessa wildly furrowed her eyebrows and was in the motions of cutely protesting, "Please... We'd love for you to come up with a solid name for him. You pretty much named Royal, after all."

Tessa sagged her shoulders and felt a wave of adoration hit her skin, and though she was not in any vein of seeking the opportunity to name someone else's child, she looked down to her twiddling fingers and eased a small, shy smile. After a few moments of battling within herself, she heaved a long sigh through her nose, bobbed a shy nod and gazed deep into Lickity's promising eye contact. With a smile that broadened, she made her nod a bit more prominent and giggled out into the code room's lovely, warm air.

"I'd love to," Tessa finally affirmed, to which both girls easily collided into another hug. She blurt a soft laugh into Lickity's mane and so gently began to pet the side of Lickity's bigger, soft, furry face, "I'm shocked you trust me with such a task, I mean... I wouldn't want that task in anyone else's hands, if I'm being honest."

"What do you mean trust you? You're Queen of this entire game," Lickity's voice pleaded with a giggle, and though Tessa eased out of their little hug, Lickity warmly sagged her much bigger clawed paw to Tessa's right shoulder and narrowed her gaze, so to emphasize a deeper dig into Tessa's hazel-ladened soul, "You're the one that graciously allowed us the time to be free, you're the one that allowed Boss into our clan... You're the one to keep everything upright. Boss and I want our son to follow in the tradition of being named by the Queen."

"Any pups you and Boss have, from here on out, are to be named by me?" Tessa inquired, and though she had a teasing nature, she almost felt her heart flutter in a whirl of warm renewal, as if she had to remind herself that she was welcome to all of these things.

"Only if you're willing," Lickity sweetly pressed, "We trust you entirely."

"I'd be honored," Tessa sighed, she bobbed a nod and looked down to her fingers, "I'm... REALLY glad you guys came home when you did, actually."

"Why? What's going on?" Lickity prod in gentle worry, Tessa sagged her eyes to Lickity's and almost frowned.

"My first day, as a professor, is on Monday, at Arcadia Academy," Tessa mumbled, and though she had a twinge of excitement in her voice, it was heavily laced with anxiety. Lickity sagged her wings and gave Tessa a teasing, sweet, knowing side-eye, "I-I know I shouldn't be nervous, but... Knowing you'll be there to help send me off, it... It makes it easier."

"Send you off AND pick you up," Lickity whispered cutely, "We can take a fun flight around the game, the second you're home... And, besides, you're gunna kill it."

"I just hope my students like me," Tessa mumbled with a full frown, to which she finally broke the second Lickity began to jostle her shoulder.

"They'll love you, and if not?" Lickity side-eyed Tessa with scheming, grinning delight and showed her fangs, "I'll barbecue 'em."

"THAT'LL leave a good impression, on administration," Tessa garbled as she flagged her hand, and as both girl's laughter soaked the code room in a harmonious reverberation of lovely sound, Sugar Rush sang with the lovely, exciting tasks at hand.
