Snake557 : Woohoo! Thank you :)

Lyssdoodle : YAY Chapter 35's the one! I'm soooo pumped :D

Burgie : Aww. Ralph and Vanellope actually have probably the best bond with Gideon, out of every single person on palace grounds. Gideon's tight bond with his parents is really important and actually pivotal to the story.

*Chapter 34*

"Alright, Gideon, listen here, and listen good," Ralph grunted; Vanellope largely rolled her eyes and sagged her arms to her sides as Ralph scuffed to his heels, got down on one knee, pointed a firm finger at Vanellope's full loading bar and got playfully serious. As Tessa, Oliver and Koko slowly moseyed over to the gaping front door of their mother's and father's home, all three erupted into soft laughter as the sweet, brisk Sugar Rush morning wind enveloped the five with chilly Autumn love. Ralph tried not to laugh, though he gingerly poked Vanellope's lower stomach and pressed on, "I have to go to work, now... I'm gunna kindly request you STAY at ninety nine percent until I get home."

"You know how that works anyhow, dad," Tessa giggled as she crossed her arms; all four beings were dressed in comfortable clothes, a fun and lazy day at mom's and dad's in preparation to meet their baby brother. Obviously a rare occasion, it wasn't treated lightly. Tessa waggled her hand as Ralph gently glanced up to his first born, "Any time you're trying to load something, you KNOW it always stops at ninety nine percent just to taunt you."

"Well, good, hold on to that thought, or... Well..." Ralph furrowed his brow, looked off in playful contemplation before he pointed back at Gideon's loading bar, "Or you're grounded, young man, you hear me?"

"Uhg, don't say that, I'm getting horrid flash backs," Oliver's deep voice grumbled as he held the sides of his head.

"We're just gunna laze about on the couch, watch some tv, we're not going to do anything strenuous," Koko gently reminded, a voice so full of love, Ralph grunted and got to his feet as his adorable family happily peered up to him in anticipated wait, "There's really no predicting what's gunna happen, but... Surely the day will come and go quick."

"Okay..." Ralph mumbled sorrowfully, his becoming-teary eyes glanced between each of his kin, and straight into Vanellope's eyes; she tsked him a gentle, loving noise and gestured her arms and hands for a hug.

"Aww, babe... It's gunna be just fine," Vanellope hissed as Ralph easily swallowed her into a big embrace. He furrowed his brow and gave her a solid squeeze, and before too long, he released his bride and began to step away from the lovely grassy area of their front patio, "We'll be holdin' down the fort. For all we know, he could come late, and this huge hang out today will have been all for not."

"Fingers crossed," Ralph mumbled, he gave his family a gentle wave and hesitated to look away, "I love you guys."

"Love you," All four beings chimed in alternating mumbles of warmth, and with one final wave from the group, the three kids sagged and peered to Vanellope in cute, prickled delight.

"So, Game Over's showing season one's reruns," Oliver stated in boyish excitement.

"Yeah, Zed's on his way over, he's super excited," Tessa muttered as her, Vanellope and Koko caught eyes.

"I feel like baking something," Vanellope cooed, to which both girls lit up with gooey excitement.

"What's so special about season one?" Koko daintily asked Oliver as Tessa began to thumb Zed a quick text message, all four beings sagged into their mother's and father's sunny home with big smiles.

"It's the BEST season, by far, it's the one Vye wins," Oliver bobbed a nod as him and Koko strolled down the main corridor together and into Ralph's and Vanellope's sunny, comfortable living room; the television was off, though the group began to settle in their places for the day. Oliver carried on to Koko as the girls began to lazily trudge into the kitchen, which was in the same high-ceilinged room as their expansive living room, "Sucks too, the whole series started off with freaking Vye Ketton winning the whole thing and not only does she turn into an internet nightmare, no other season has been nearly as cool or as grand."

"I can't believe you actually enjoy watching her murder people," Tessa muttered, the front door swung open from down the hall.

"It's not so much that, her strategy is just wicked awesome, I'd never think of it," Oliver shrugged, trying to stay neutral.

"Talking about Vye?" Zed wondered with a pep in his step, he and Oliver locked eyes in riled, boyish excitement, though before Zed could get too comfortable, he softened his demeanor and smiled into Vanellope's eyes, "Today's the day. You excited?"

"Am I," Vanellope breathed with a cute, childlike little smile; her and Zed gently raveled into a hug of a greeting, and though Zed was itching to have some dude time with Oliver, he hovered with Vanellope and noticed her stagger on a few breaths of words, as if to wonder just where to start, "Say, Zed, I... I was wondering something."

"What's up?" Zed pressed in a gentlemanly tone, he honed his whole attention to his mother in law and could see Tessa in his peripheral, easily eavesdropping.

"I'm... Curious, would it be possible to have Gideon somewhere other than the code room?" Vanellope wondered nervously, Zed furrowed his brow in tender curiosity and patiently allowed Vanellope to carry on, "I just... Want to be home, I love the code room and all, I just feel different this time."

"You want to have Gideon here?" Zed pointed down to where they were standing, and though Zed wanted to give her an immediate answer, he fingered his lip in soft pondering and stabbed his eyes into Tessa's, across the way.

"... We'd have to bring the core to us, which... Isn't THAT big of a task, if you think about it," Tessa shrugged, Vanellope gently looked between the two in a swing of hope, "I mean, the code room IS only like two hundred feet from where we're standing, anyways. All we really need is the core, mom's box and Gideon's box."

"We'd have to secure this part of the grid, but I definitely can make that happen," Zed assured to Vanellope with great warmth, though he gave her a cute little look of soft curiosity, "You nervous about the code room? I'd think you'd want to be in the code room, after not being able to have Koko there."

"I don't know why I feel this way, I just... Really want to be home, I want to be comfortable in my own bed," Vanellope stated, though Zed raised his eyebrows in further tender sorrow as Vanellope's eyes billowed with tears, "I-I guess I'm just feeling protective, I have no clue why."

"Aw, mom, it's okay," Koko cooed, Tessa bobbed a nod.

"Mom, I felt the same way when I had Berri," Tessa assured with a small giggle, "I didn't get to experience Ace's birth cause I was unconscious... When it came to Berri, I wanted everything to be perfect and just right."

"She ended up changing her mind just as Berri's bar loaded," Zed chuckled, he gave Tessa a loving, nostalgic smile, "Code room birth it was."

"We can definitely prepare to have Gideon arrive here, I don't think that's off the table," Tessa assured with a nod.

"YAY, we get to stay here all day!" Koko raised her fists, to which Oliver flipped to the proper channel, of Game Over, and gestured Zed over.

"GOOD, cause it's starting, get in here, dude," Oliver blurt, to which Zed rubbed his hands together and urgently stepped into the living room.

"Hell yeah," Zed grinned as the haunting, dramatic theme song to Game Over began to play out.

"... Watching Game Over feels sacrilegious," Tessa blurt in grinning annoyance, though the three girls flinched as Sugar Rush's overhead cabinet intercoms kindly alerted the whole game of incoming quarter alerts. Tessa sighed and leaned her chin into her hands, with her elbows plowed into Vanellope's marvelous kitchen island, "Poor Sugar Rush, just willingly pumping in the channel that airs Game Over, with Vye at the helm... That bitch gets our views."

"... She's pretty freaking good, Tess," Koko muttered bravely, though she grit her teeth as Tessa sharply side-eyed her sister.

"Pretty freaking good at wanting to barter my children as a blood sacrifice," Tessa stabbed, to which Koko flagged her hands and bobbed an apologetic nod.

"I'm not saying she's a saint," Koko rolled her eyes, though Vanellope opened her fridge and heaved a long sigh, as if to be desperate to get her mind off of terrible things.

"ALRIGHT, guys, what should we bake," Vanelope prod cutely, she peered about her fridge and fingered her lip, "I'll have to see what I have in the pantry... I can get Beard Papa to deliver ingredients, if need be."

"Hmm... What should we bake to honor Gideon's arrival?" Tessa wondered as she lazily ran her fingers through her hair, "Cinnamon rolls, snickerdoodles..."

"Ooo, we should make puppychow," Koko lit up, to which Vanellope bugged her eyes in cute, grinning excitement.

"Ohh, yum," Tessa muttered, "Good idea."

"I'm pretty sure I have the ingredients for that," Vanellope stated cutely, she quickly pressed across her kitchen and over to the huge walk-in pantry just near the downward slope that lead to their sunny basement. As she flicked on the light, she stepped into the huge space, big enough for Ralph to fit inside of. She fingered her lip, eased to the one wall that housed all of her baking supplies and began to sift through just what she'd need, "Can one of you girls see if we have enough powdered sugar?"

"Sure," Tessa grunted as she quickly got up from her seat and began to step closer to the stove, to where the cabinets hung over head, though she raised her eyebrows in startled surprise as a sharp gasp erupted from the walk-in pantry. Tessa stabbed her eyes to Koko's and was surprised to see Zed and Oliver stiffen, as well, though just as everyone animated with purpose, Tessa urgently barged into the walk in pantry to see Vanellope had crumbled against the pantry shelves, urgently clutching her abdomen, "Mom, you okay?"

"I-It's time," Vanellope grunted as she fell to her knees and let out a loud grimace of pain, and though Tessa eased a gentle whoop of excitement, she rushed her mother, held one hand to her shoulder for support and gently peeled her t-shirt out of the way.

"Alright, guys, got a finalizing bar!" Tessa called, she grinned and smiled into her mother's eyes; Vanellope returned the smile, though it was quickly replaced with a tight grimace of bigger pain.

"He's coming? ALREADY?" Koko chimed in burning excitement as her and Zed pushed into the pantry, to which Zed kindly approached Vanellope and prepared to scoop her into his arms, so to get her situated in her bedroom.

"Incoming wrecker," Zed stated in an overflow of happiness as him and Vanellope sweetly met eyes, she unravelled her arms and gratefully allowed Zed to inch his arms and hands about her, so to pick her up bridal style. Zed grunted to a stand and as he began to leave the pantry, with Koko and Tessa in tow, he gave Tessa knowing nod and ushered her guidance, "Alright, babe, secure the grid of the house, we only need the core, Vanellope's box and Gideon's attached coding."

"On it," Tessa chirped, to which everyone hurriedly filed into Ralph's and Vanellope's tidy, sunny bedroom, though Oliver hurried in last, he held the sides of his head in hot contemplation.

"Gideon's coming! For User's sake, it's only been like fifteen minutes since quarter alerts," Koko muttered, "Poor dad... He's absolutely going to miss this, there's no way Gideon's gunna finalize for the next prolonged nine hours."

"I don't want him to miss it," Vanellope stifled a noise of pure pain and grappled her stomach as Zed gently laid her on her back, on her bed, though he sat her up propped against the big, cushiony pillows. Tears began to sag down Vanellope's cheeks, for a handful of reasons, though she almost pleadingly dart her eyes between Zed's, Oliver's, Tessa's and Koko's. She panted, grit her teeth and held her lower stomach in a grapple of trying to quell the pain, "H-He needs to be here, c-can we somehow delay...?"

"No, mom, that... That's really dangerous," Tessa cautioned as tenderly as she could; the grid about the house flickered with hot silver coding, and with a sudden blip of information, the glowing white core of the code room softly illuminated in a hover above Tessa's hands.

"We have to go get dad," Oliver urged in a riled mess, he looked as if he was on the verge of panicking.

"Olly," Zed mumbled sorrowfully, Koko dart her attention back and forth between both men.

"No, I'm going to go get him!" Oliver shouted, he urgently gestured to his mother, "Mom's right, HE needs to be here."

"Oliver, dad has to keep his game running," Tessa warned apologetically.

"No, I'll cover for him, I'm going to go get dad," Oliver stabbed.

"Oliver, you're gunna miss Gideon's birth, then," Koko worried cutely, to which Oliver and Vanellope caught eyes in a stab of teary urgency.

"... I was present for Koko's, poor dad has been emotionally put through the wringer," Oliver grunted, he bounced on his big feet and urgently peered back to the gape of Vanellope's opened doorway, "I'm gunna go cover for dad, I'll be back later, guys."

"Oliver," Vanellope cutely complained through the grimace of tears and grit teeth, and though Oliver was due to bouncing out of the stratosphere, he urgently rushed his mother's bedside and lovingly swept his hand over Vanellope's forehead. She tearfully smiled into his eyes and shook her head, "I don't want EITHER of you two to miss this..."

"I'll get a million chances to see my brother and to hold him and to hear his cries," Oliver cooed lovingly, he shook his head and narrowed his gaze, "This is dad's child... He needs to be here. I can't imagine not being present for Theo's birth, it'd... It'd kill me."

"Good guy Olly," Koko mumbled cutely, to which Oliver pressed a kiss to Vanellope's forehead and eased his bright, loving gap-toothed smile.

"Gideon'll understand, he can fight me about it later," Oliver flagged his hand, "I'm gunna cover for dad... Try and hold out for a few minutes."

"I'll teleport you to the entrance," Tessa chimed cutely, "That's... Incredibly selfless of you, Ol."

"You're REALLY gunna fill in for dad? He's like twice your size," Koko cried with a giggle.

"That building is not as small as you may think," Zed cautioned with an apprehensive smile.

"I'm gunna do what I can, whatever it takes to get dad here," Oliver urged, he nodded in Tessa's direction and smiled, "Tell Gideon I'll be back."

"We love you Ol," Tessa assured as everyone urgently and fervently agreed, and with a whisk of his lovely, emerald green binary, he was teleported in a whisk of coded goodness.
