A/N: FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY! I am back with another chapter! An explanation at the end.
Review Responses:
*Galagon17*: Yes, I will completely admit that I did not have a complete outline for a lot of chapters. First Fanfiction and I was grossly underprepared for what was to come along with my life getting in the way a lot. I will take your review and apply it to my future chapters.
*highlander348*: Fleur's magical power will be above Harry's without the ability. Think of his ability like a combination of Ash's Infernape's Baze, Avatar Aang's Avatar State, and Ichigo's Hollow Form all in one. There will be drawbacks and he will not have god-like powers.
*Everyone asking about updating*: Update is here hahaha!
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter (J.K Rowling does)

Harry slowly opened his eyes to see that he was in the bed of his and Fleur's living quarters. Slowly sitting up and putting on his glasses, Harry wondered how he got here as all he could remember was collapsing after the voice in his head disappeared. Harry got this feeling of dread in his chest at the thought of killing someone and accepting that fact scared him. He was brought out of his thoughts when the door opened and Fleur stepped in, carrying a glass of water. When she saw him awake, Fleur dropped the glass and rushed over to him with tears in her eyes.
" 'Arry! Are you ok? 'Ow do you feel?" Fleur asked in a rushed tone.
Harry gazed into her teary blue eyes, "I-I'm alright I guess."
Fleur let out a relieved sigh before giving him a hard look, "W'at ze 'ell 'appened!?"
Harry swallowed before closing his eyes to collect his thoughts, "When I activated the ability I found myself in this pitch-black room, I then saw memories of when I was younger. The Dursleys more specifically and the abuse I suffered at their hands."
Harry stopped to take a shaky breath before continuing, "A voice that sounded like a distorted female spoke up, saying that they deserve to die. The memory then changed to my second year where I was suspected to be the Heir of Slytherin. Then, it changed to last year where everyone thought that I had cheated my way into the tournament. The voice kept saying that they all deserved to die and that my ability was for killing those who have wronged you."
Fleur gasped in horror, "It said zat?"
Harry nodded slowly, "Yeah, it also said that is how every past user was able to gain control over the ability was to accept killing. It said that I was too weak and gained control of my body."
Fleur grabbed his hands, " 'Arry, you are not weak. Everyzing you 'ave gone zroug' s'ows zat you are not weak. 'Owever, I will say zat you will come to zat crossroad of taking someone's life. I can understand zat you do not wis' to take anozzer's life but zat's it's like being in war."
Harry did not say anything as he took in her words. He knew that she was right about coming to that crossroad. What Harry was scared of besides that, was the fact that his ability could take over his body and mind whenever he activated it, making him do terrible things.
"How long was I out?" Harry asked, breaking out of his thoughts.
"A few 'ours," Fleur answered, right before Harry's stomach growled, making him flush in embarrassment.
Fleur giggled, " 'Ungry are we?" Harry nodded sheepishly, "W'y don't we go get some food?" she asked.
"I rather not go anywhere right now, but I know how we could get something to eat," Harry explained with a slight smirk at the raised eyebrow he got from Fleur.
"DOBBY!" Harry called out to the room.
"The Great Harry Potter called Dobby?" A squeaky voice came from Harry's left.
Fleur turned to see a house elf wearing a torn-up green jumper, plaid shorts, and mismatching socks. The elf had large tennis ball-sized green eyes that were looking at Harry with admiration.
Harry pinched his nose, "Dobby, I've told you just to call me Harry."
"Yes, Master Harry," Dobby nodded enthusiastically.
Harry sighed with a slight smile, "Dobby, could you please bring Fleur and me some food as we won't be going down to the Hall?"
Dobby bounded up and down, "Of course, Dobby will be happy to bring Master Harry and his lady food." With that, the house-elf disappeared with a crack.
During the exchange, Fleur was silently watching in slight shock. While Harry was tired, she could tell that he was happily talking to the elf, which made her wonder, " 'Arry, you did not tell me zat you 'ave a 'ouse elf."
Harry let out a small chuckle, "I do not actually own him, he is a free elf. I met him right before my second year, where he showed up saying that I should not return to Hogwarts because of some grave danger. I did not listen to him and he charmed a blunger to go after me during a Quidditch match which landed me in the Hospital Wing."
"W'y did he do zat?" Fleur was confused about the actions of the elf.
"Dobby thought I would seriously injured enough to be sent away from Hogwarts, that did not work," Harry explained, thinking back to that year.
Fleur raised an eyebrow, "Zen 'ow did you become friends wiz 'im?"
Harry smiled fondly, "After dealing with the chamber, I found out that Dobby's old master was Lucius Malfoy. I was able to trick him into giving Dobby a sock to set him free. Let's just say that he was not happy about losing his house-elf and tried to kill me."
"W'at!?" Fleur hissed out.
"Yeah, Dobby did save me from that and I made him promise me that he would not save me again."
A few seconds later, Dobby popped back with a tray full of food. Fleur was surprised at the amount of food on the tray.
Harry gave him a grateful nod, "Thank you Dobby."
Dobby jumped in happiness, "You are very welcome Master Harry." He then disappeared with a crack.
Fleur let out a small chuckle, "So after you freed 'im, did you take 'im as your elf?" She asked as she grabbed some food off of the tray.
"Actually," Harry swallowed a bite, "He is still a free elf. He wanted me to be his new master, but I did not like the idea of having a servant per-say. So I told him to work in the Hogwarts' kitchen."
Fleur nodded in understanding as while her family had a house-elf, they made sure to treat him very well. After eating the tray of food, Fleur helped Harry get up and get ready to head over to the Hospital Wing to talk to Poppy. Once they stepped in front of the doors, Harry pushed them open to find the Wing empty with the exception being Poppy herself as she was in her office. When she saw the couple, Poppy came out and head straight to Harry before stopping right in front of him.
"Mr. Potter, I hope you are here for a good reason after the last time I saw you," Pomphrey said in a stern tone.
Harry met her gaze with his own, "I have some information about my ability that I thought you would be interested in hearing."
This caused the healer to raise an eyebrow, "Really?"
Harry nodded, "It might be able to fill in some information that is missing from the records."
Pomphrey nodded her head and motioned them to follow her to her office. Once inside, she motioned them to take a seat in front of her desk while she sat behind it before saying, "Alright Mr. Potter, what can you tell me?"
"First, I would like to say that the ability is somewhat alive," Harry said with a concentrated look.
Pomphrey scrunched her face in confusion, "What do you mean by alive?"
Harry took a deep breath, "When I activated it, I found myself in a dark area until a screen materialized that showed me… events that happened in my past and a voice then appeared, saying that the people in the memory deserved to die."
Poppy's face showed udder shock, "A voice said that these people deserved to die?"
Harry nodded in confirmation, "Yes, it was a slightly distorted female voice. It said that I needed to accept death and killing people to gain control over the ability."
Poppy face turned pale, "You need to accept killing people?"
Harry nodded, "That is what everyone else who had this ability had to do, that is what I was told."
Poppy turned her attention back to her notes as she wrote down what Harry had told her. As she was doing this, the healer was now thinking that this ability could be very dangerous in the wrong hands. Since there was so little information on the specifics, it was interesting to have more information. However, as interesting it was, it also scared her slightly as it seems that the person needs to accept that they will have to kill someone to gain control.
When she was done writing, Poppy looked back at Harry, "Is there anything else Mr. Potter?"
"Yes, it was also able to gain control over my body. That would explain why I fired the Killing Curse at Fleur since I was not in control."
Pomphrey wrote that down before putting her quill down, "That is some interesting information that you have provided Mr. Potter. I now understand what you said earlier."
Fleur looked at her with interest, "W'at would zat be Madam?"
"With everything I have so far, I do have to agree with you about how your ability is somewhat alive since there is a voice and that it was able to take control of your body," She explained with a wave of her had at the notes.
Harry thought about what the healer had said and it did make some sense, "Well I'm glad I am not the only one." Fleur nodded to after a minute of thinking about it.
Poppy smiled slightly, "Well, you have nothing else to tell me, then I would suggest you think about what the voice said about accepting death. Like it or not Harry, we are heading into a war and you are in the middle of it."
Harry swallowed hard before nodding slightly, "Alright, I will Madam." With that, Harry and Fleur walked out of her office and out of the Hospital Wing.
As Harry and Fleur walked back to their room, Harry was thinking about how he will be able to gain control over his ability and will be able to accept killing someone. That thought rang throughout his mind as he was scared to take a life, even if that person deserved it. He was not a killer and he did not want to then become one as a direct result of taking someone's life. Fleur saw the internal conflict that was on Harry's face, she stopped walking and made Harry at her straight in the eye.
" 'Arry, I can see ze conflict zat you are 'aving, do you want to talk about it?" Fleur voiced in a concerned tone.
Harry sighed, "I'm just not sure if I will be able to take another's life. Even if I have to, does that make me a killer? How do I know that killing someone won't change me into something else? I am not ready to take someone's life."
" 'Arry, taking someone's life is apart of war, no matter 'ow you look at it. Zat does not mean zat you will become a bloodzirsty killer, feeling remorse over killing a terrible person s'ows zat you are more 'uman zan zey are. I know zat it is toug' for you, but you 'ave me and your friends standing beside you to 'elp you. You are not alone," Fleur finished before taking Harry into a tender lip lock, showing her passion through the kiss.
When they needed air, the couple broke apart. Harry had a small smile on his lips as he was able to see how much Fleur truly cared for him.
"Thanks, Fleur, I-I needed that," Harry said as he grabbed her hand and squeezed it lovingly.
"You're welcome 'Arry," Fleur spoke as she guided Harry back to their room for some rest and to enjoy the time together.

Over the next week and a half, Harry got back into his routine; however, there were a few things that bothered him. First, he still thought about the things that the voice said when he went into Magical Overdrive. The voice was right in that he needed to accept death soon because of the war, but that did scare him in the thought of himself turning into a blood-thirsty monster. He was scared about how his ability can take over his body and make him do unspeakable things that made him shudder. The second was that he was becoming increasingly angry, like something in the back of his mind was always angry and just got even more angry as the days went on.
One day, he snapped at Fleur during their training since she was taking it slow for a while to monitor his progress since using his ability. Fleur did not want to hard on him in their mock dual and after a while of the same thing, Harry snapped at her to go harder on him and that he did not need to be babied. Fleur stopped and looked at him with a look of worry and a little bit of hurt. That made Harry feel terrible right away and apologized for snapping at her. Fleur walked up to him and asked him what was wrong and why he snapped at her. Harry told her that nothing was wrong and that he was tired of having to go slow again. Fleur knew that something was wrong but did not say anything about that before saying that she was taking it slow so that he does not overexert himself.
Harry understood but still did not like feeling like he was being babied. This went on for about a week before Fleur saw him fit enough to start going a little harder on him to assess his progress. Harry was starting to get better at their mock duals and was even able to put Fleur on the defensive for a while before she was able to gain the upper hand. Speaking of training, Fleur had canceled the D.A. meeting that was set up for that Wednesday for Harry to rest up, causing Harry to try and argue with her that he was fine to teach, but she would not budge on the issue until he finally gave in.
After nine days, Harry was feeling as close as he could to his regular self, which was a great feeling for him.

Dream
Harry found himself in the familiar halls of the Ministry but his perspective was very low to the ground and his head was moving back and forth. Harry found himself in front of a door that he had passed when he walked down the halls towards the courtroom for his trial. Right then, the recognizable form of Arthur Weasley came into view with a shocked look in his eyes. Then, harry felt himself jump and attack Arthur. Harry heard himself hissing like a snake before realizing that he was in the form of Nagini. The sicking cries of Arthur brought Harry back to see himself attacking the man again and again while Arthur grunted in pain as pools of blood spilled onto the floor. Harry was trying to speak but found himself unable to before he attacked once again as Arthur fell to the floor, not moving.
Dream Ends
Harry woke up gasping for breath as he was dripping with sweat. Fleur woke up as well to see Harry looking pale as ever and sweating.
" 'Arry, Wat's wrong?" Fleur asked in a worried tone.
Harry started shaking, "Mr. Weasley, h-he was attacked! I-I attacked him," Then the feeling of Arthur dying sunk in, "We need to tell Dumbledore now!" Harry started to get up, but Fleur grabbed ahold of him.
" 'Arry, w'at are you talking about? W'o was attacked?!"
"Ron's father! We need to tell Dumbledore immediately!" Harry said back in a rushed tone as he tried to get out of her grip.
Fleur nodded slightly before getting out of bed and with her arm around Harry, they set out. However, Fleur did not go to Dumbledore, but she went to McGonagall's quarters, knocking on the door rapidly before the professor answered in an annoyed look before seeing Fleur's panicked face and Harry's look of horror. Fleur quickly told her that she needed to accompany her and Harry to the headmaster's office as it was an urgent matter. With McGonagall in toe, the three of them made their way up to the headmaster's office, giving the password to the Gargoyle, and climbing up the staircase to the doors to the office. Knocking quickly, the door opened with Albus standing there, looking at the distraught look on Minerva and Fleur's face.
"What's going on Minerva?" Albus inquired.
The deputy headmistress pointed to Fleur and Harry, who was still breathy heavily and pale. Dumbledore went over to the couple and looked over Harry.
"Miss Delacour, what happened, what is wrong with Harry?"
"I do not know, I woke up to 'im breathy 'eavily w'ile saying zat Mr. Weasley 'ad been attacked," Fleur answered in a shaky breath.
Albus's eyes widened, "Arthur was attacked? Where?"
Harry looked up shakily at the headmaster, "H-He is at the Ministry. I-I attacked him." His voice was shaking and his eyes were gleaming with unshed tears.
Dumbledore went over to one of the portraits and told them that Mr. Weasley was on guard duty and that the right people find him. He then went over to another one and said that they needed to go over to Grimmauld place and tell the rest of the family that Arthur had been attacked.
"Sir?" Harry tried to get Albus's attention but he would not listen to him. Albus just started to pace back and forth while stroking his beard with a concentrated look.
"Sir?" Harry tried again but again, was ignored and that was the last straw for him as his anger had been building for the past few days, "LOOK AT ME!"
This caused Dumbledore to stop pacing and look at him with a surprised look while Fleur and McGonagall were shocked that Harry had shouted at the headmaster. Harry was even surprised himself by the outburst, but all the anger that had been building up for the past week and a half.
"What-What's happening to me?" Harry asked, scared, "Why am I becoming angrier by the minute for the past week?" Harry was on the verge of tears as Fleur was holding him before sinking to the ground on his knees with his hands to his face.
Dumbledore looked at the young man that was being held by the French witch with interest. The old man knew that the anger had to be an influence of Voldemort due to the connection that they share. However, he knew that Harry needed to try and close the connection for his good as having Voldemort's influence can drive him into insanity. Albus stroked his beard in thought as Harry continued to break down in front of him.
Fleur looked at the old wizard, "W'at is 'appening to 'Arry?" she asked in a worried tone.
Albus did not answer right away as he was thinking about how he could get Harry taught in the art of Occlumency. He knew of only one person that could teach the skill to Harry but that person could complicate the problem. Dumbledore walked over to Fawks, whispered something before the bord flashed away a second later. Fleur narrowed her eyes at Albus before reluctantly getting up from her position on the floor with Harry, wand in hand.
"I will ask again 'eadmaster, w'at is 'appening to 'Arry?" Her tone became harder.
"I believe that he has been influenced by Voldemort as they seem to have some kind of connection," Albus answered as Fleur's jaw clenched in anger.
"Zat monster 'as been able to influence 'Arry!?" Fleur hissed.
Albus nodded before a flash of fire appeared as Severus stepped out with Fawks on his shoulders. Fawks flew back onto his perch and nodded its head at Dumbledore. Fleur clenched her wand in her hand at the sight of the potions professor as she disliked him from the very beginning because of his treatment of Harry.
"You called for me Albus?" Snape asked in an emotionless tone before looking around to see Harry on his knees crying. Raising an eyebrow, "What's his problem, another nightmare?" He asked in a slightly mocking tone.
Fleur growled in anger as her hatred for the man in front of her was growing before Albus spoke up, "Severus, I believe that the connection has become too strong to ignore, I would like you to teach Mr. Potter in Occlumency," Dumbledore said in a calm voice.
That sentence caused Fleur to round on the headmaster with her wand leveled at him with a furious expression on her face. Snape reached for his wand but stopped when Fleur reached out her other hand, lighting it on fire while aiming at him; warning him not to try it. McGonagall, who was silent throughout the time so far, had a shocked expression.
"Ms. Delacour, how dare you point your wand at the headmaster!"
"S'ut up!" Fleur spat, " 'Ow dare you suggest zat zis connard teac' 'Arry Occlumency! Zis sorry excuse of a man will never teac' mind arts to 'im w'ile I am 'ere!"
"Ms. Delacour, please calm down. I called Severus because he is the best option in teaching Mr. Potter Occlumency as he is very skilled in the art," Albus explained in a soft voice to calm the Veela down.
Fleur laughed humorless, "I 'ave seen 'ow this person teac'es, it's pat'etic! I am 'is bodyguard and teac'er, I will s'ow 'im ze arts of ze mind."
"You?" Snape asked with a snort, "How do you know anything about Occlumency you Veela?"
The fireball in Fleur's hand grew bigger before Dumbledore spoke, "Severus, enough." His tone left no room for argument.
"I know ze basics along wiz some advanced Occlumency so I will be able to teac' 'Arry no problem. 'E will trust me, 'e will never trust zat cochon."
While Snape did not understand French, he knew when he has been insulted and reached for his wand, "Why you wretched, insignificant…!"
Before anyone else could react, Fleur turned to Snape with her wand pointed at him and shot a stunning spell at him. The power she put behind the spell made the potions professor fly through the air and crashed into a bookcase full of trinkets before sliding to a crumpled heap. Blood was seeping from a wound on his head as Fleur smirked at her handy work, then turning back to Albus who was looking at her with wide eyes.
"Ms. Delacour…!" McGonagall began but she was silenced by the glare that Fleur gave her.
" 'E was going to attack me, wiz my back turned to 'im. 'E deserves to be burned alive in my eyes."
"Ms. Delacour was that necessary to do that to Severus? He was not going to attack you," Albus asked with a frown.
Fleur snorted, leveling a glare with the headmaster, "Zis cochon was goingto attack me, no question about it. I do 'ave to ask you a question 'eadmaster?" Albus nodded and Fleur asked, "W'y did you zink zat 'e would be able to teac' 'Arry Occlumency w'en I am 'ere to protect and train 'im? Wasn't zat ze reason you 'ired me?"
Dumbledore was silent for a while, thinking about the question that Fleur had asked him. He did see her point that she was hereto protect and teach Harry as he had hired her to do and she was doing a better job than he could have ever thought. Harry and Fleur have even started dating because she was able to get past Harry's defensives, along with Harry being able to see her more than a Veela. However, Albus was brought back to the thought that he doubted her Occlumency abilities due to her age while Severus had decades of experience. Albus looked at Fleur who was spinning her wand between her index and middle finger, eyebrow raised as if waiting for a response from him.
Albus sighed tiredly, "I see your point, Ms. Delacour. However, while I do not question your abilities to teach Mr. Potter in defensive and offensive spells, along with getting him to gain control over his ability, I do have my doubts about your Occlumency abilities when it comes to being able to teach it."
Fleur shrugged, "I do not care if you question my abilities wiz Occlmuency Albus. 'Arry will be taug't my me and zat is final." Dumbledore did not want to argue with the woman, so he nodded in agreement.
During all of this, Harry was on his knees with his hands covering his face while he kept muttering something that could not be heard by the people in the room at first, but then they could hear him mutter that he would not turn into Voldemort over and over. Fleur's face saddened before making her way over to him and wrapping him in a tight hug, rocking him back and forth gently. Albus sighed again before sitting back in his chair, taking off his glasses and rubbing his eyes tiredly.
McGonagall had seen Harry break down in front of her while the woman next to him was trying to comfort him. She had also seen the same woman send a professor flying through the air, crashing into a bookcase, causing the person to be knocked out cold in defiance of someone suggesting that the person who was sent flying teaching her boyfriend mind arts. The silence of the three people was broken when one of the paintings came back to life, informing Dumbledore that Mr. Weasley was found and brought to St. Mungos as he will live. A moment later, another painting came to life and informed them that the Weasley family had been told and that Mrs. Weasley, along with her kids were heading over to the hospital right away.
Albus thanked the paintings before turning to Fleur, who was still rocking Harry, "Everything has now been taken care of, I would suggest that you get Mr. Potter back to your living quarters and calm him down."
Fleur nodded, "Zank you." She got up slowly with Harry still in her arms and slowly started to walk toward the door that leads back down to the hallways. Before walking out of the office, she stopped next to the unconscious Snape before stomping on his left hand, making a sickening crunch sound signaling that the hand is now broken. After that, She and Harry walked out the door and down the spiral staircase.
Once the door shut, Dumbledore leaned onto the desk with his elbows on the wood with his head in his hands. McGonagall walked over to the desk and looked at the headmaster before speaking, "Albus, she attacked a teacher and you are letting her go?"
"Minerva, Ms. Delacour had every right to defend herself as Severus was going for his wand to attack her while her back was turned to him," Albus explained as he looked up at her. He then turned his attention towards the unconscious teacher and sighed before getting up, "We need to get him over to Poppy."
Dumbledore pulled out his wand, waved it at Snape. His body levitated in the air as Albus and Minerva started their way over to the hospital wing. As they made their way into the wing, Albus called out into the empty wing for Poppy and a few moments later, the healer popped her head into the room to see the headmaster and deputy-headmistress with an unconscious Snape on one of the beds.
Poppy came over, "What happened to him, Albus?"
"Severus tried to attack Ms. Delacour while her back was turned to him after she had said some not polite but true things about him," Dumbledore explained with a tired look on his face.
"And let me guess, she knocked him out with one spell?" Minerva and Albus nodded at this, making Poppy chuckle softly, "Ms. Delacour is very powerful and is not to be messed with, like Mr. Potter."
"I will have to agree with you on that one Poppy," Said Albus, "Will Severus be alright?"
Pomphrey nodded, "Yes, he will be alright. The impact caused him to become unconscious and he will wake up soon. His broken hand will be healed soon as well, was the broken hand from the spell?"
"No," Dumbledore shook his head, "When Ms. Delacour was walking out of the office, she stopped near Severus and stomped on his hand, breaking it."
Poppy nodded in understanding, "Well, considering how he acts, I wouldn't have been surprised that he was attacked and taken out so easily by someone like Ms. Delacour."
Albus knew that Severus refuses to grow up and let go of his grudge against James Potter and along with everyone else who is not in Slytherin. He rubbed his temples in frustration at the situation that Snape had caused and how it could have all been avoided if he had not insulted Fleur, the only grateful part was that Harry was not focusing on what was said as he would have done everything he could to make Snape pay.
"This will not be easy."
|X|
Fleur walked with Harry to their living quarters as he was not focusing on where he was or what had happened a few minutes ago. After making it to the living room of their quarters, Fleur sat Harry down on the couch as he was still muttering about him not turning into Voldemort. This caused Fleur's heart to hurt as Harry was going through yet another struggle with having this connection with the Dark Lord and having him influence his emotions.
" 'Arry, please look at me," Fleur pleaded. It took a moment but Harry slowly looked at Fleur with bloodshot eyes that showed the pain he holds.
"You will never be like someone like Voldemort ok? You 'ave so muc' good in you and you fig't for ze rig't reason. I will never let you become someone like 'im alrig't?" Fleur said with a confident tone.
"A-Are you sure?" Harry asked in a small voice.
"Always," Fleur then brought her lips onto his and kissed him with passion. She pulled away with a small smile before yawning, "We s'ould get back to bed."
Harry nodded in agreement before Fleur pulled him up to the bedroom and laid back in bed with Harry being wrapped in her arms and legs as his head rested on her breasts. Fleur kissed the top of his head before closing her eyes, hoping that she could chase off the nightmares.
A/N: OK, so I do owe you all an explanation. First of all, while I did have a complete outline for this chapter, I was running into problems and I did not write for a few months. Secondly, college finals were upon me about a month ago, when I wanted to get the chapter finished so I had to focus on those before I could get to the chapter. Lastly, work as my schedule for work is not consistent in the hours as I will work early one day and another I will work in the afternoon to evening. With the new year, I will do my very best to stick to a better chapter rollout schedule. I appreciate every single one of you who has stuck with me for this long. Thank you!
Anyway, please Read & Review and I will catch you all next time!
