Seline was humming a sweet village song when she noticed the three Dimitrescu daughters approaching her. She waved them over to her growing leaf pile. "Look at how much I did!" They were confused on where she had gotten enough leaves for a pile of that size, before they noticed that not only was the path swept, but the grounds had been raked. "Impressive." commented Cassandra, a bit surprised at how this girl voluntarily did far more than asked. "Do you know what you do with leaf piles?" Seline asked, and the sisters responded that they did not. "Jump in them, of course!" Unexpectedly, the girl leaped into her pile, and popped out of it moments later, with leaves scattered in her hair. "Come on!" Daniela, ever the daredevil, took the first jump of her sisters, after making sure her beloved sketchbook was safe. Bela jumped in after her, and even Cassandra had to try it. "Is this what you do in your village?" she asked after her jump, and Seline laughed. "Yeah! It makes the whole raking thing worth it!" Suddenly, she got a silly glint in her eye and picked up a whole handful of leaves. Before Bela knew what was happening, she got a blast of leaves in the face. Daniela burst out giggling, but Cassandra got her with a handful as well. Soon enough, it turned into a full on leaf battle. Seline didn't even mind that she would have to redo her pile, she was having so much fun. Looking upon the scene from her window, Alcina couldn't help but laugh. In one day, the little girl had completely won over her daughters, and quite possibly herself as well. Based on the lie before, Seline possibly had no family. Would it be possible to have another daughter? Suddenly, she startled herself out of her thoughts. Not only did she not know enough about her to make that decision, but doing so would bring the child to Mother Miranda's attention, which was incredibly dangerous. Knowing Miranda, Seline would probably be experimented on until she either died, mutated, or became a lycan. The mere thought of that hurt her. So, Alcina shoved her feelings aside. Just like she always did. Just like she always would.
"Hi, Miss Dimitrescu!"
"Hello, Miss Dimitrescu!"
"Good morning, Miss Dimitrescu!"
"How are you, Miss Dimitrescu?"
"Lovely day today, right Miss Dimitrescu?"
It had been a week since Seline had begun her work at Castle Dimitrescu, and everyone was feeling her effects. The maids were no longer getting scolded as much as they used to, and as a result, they worked harder. Rather than the castle being dark and gloomy, each curtain had been opened, making the castle brighter and cheerier. Changes began to happen inside the people, too. Alcina felt herself waiting for that cheerful knock on the door, just so she could hear Seline's greeting. Even her daughters started caring for the child. Just through the act of being herself, Seline had made the entire castle happy. Alcina was so focused on her thoughts, she didn't notice when she ran into the very person she was thinking about. "Ow!" Seline was so small that just being bumped into by Alcina knocked her off her feet. "Sorry, Miss Dimitrescu!" Alcina laughed and bent down to extend a hand. "No, no, I apologize. I should've been watching where I was going. Are you alright?" Seline nodded and took her hand. After helping her out, Alcina realized something strange: the girl was holding one hand behind her back. "What do you have there?" Seline squeaked nervously. "Umm, nothing! See?" She switched her hand quickly, so the other one was behind her back holding the unknown object. Alcina gave her a glare, honey-golden eyes meeting cornflower-blue ones. Seline started to shake under the heavy gaze, but still didn't reveal anything. However, the pressure was too much, and she had to get out of there. "Gottagocleansomethingbye!" She dashed into the dining room, and Alcina frowned. What is that girl hiding? Silently, Alcina peeked into the room, and stifled a laugh. All the girl had been doing was sneaking in some wildflowers. Using an elegant cup as a vase, Seline arranged them into a cute bouquet. She adjusted them a bit, then turned around. She saw Alcina looking at her and jumped back. "M-Miss Dimitrescu! I'm sorry, I was just- um- I'm sorry! Please don't be mad at me! I just thought the table needed some decorations- not that the table didn't look cute before! I just- I'm sorry!" The girl stumbled over her words, and her bottom lip began to tremble. "P-please don't be mad at me, I can get rid of them…" Alcina didn't really know what to do, never having to deal with a distraught child before. She settled for patting her on the head, a bit awkwardly. "Don't worry about the flowers, little one. I quite like them!" Seline looked up, as if shocked that she wasn't in trouble. "Y-you're not gonna punish me for bringing flowers inside?" The tall vampire was a bit confused. "Why would I ever do that? They're beautiful!" Alcina noticed that Seline slightly moved her hands to protect her arms. "I'm sorry…" The child rushed out of the room, leaving Alcina very confused.
