Unfortunately, it was raining the next day, which meant no visit to Salvatore's reservoir. Although her mother had already called Moreau to reschedule, Seline was still mad that she had to wait an extra day. "Stupid rain." The offending raindrops paid no attention to her, and kept on falling. Bela swarmed up to her younger sister, and tried not to laugh. "Can I join you in looking angrily at the rain?" Seline nodded, and the two glared at the rain clouds. Eventually, Daniela joined them. Surprisingly, they didn't get bored, and stayed there for a while, until Cassandra showed up. "What are you all doing? Why do you look so mad at the rain?" The other three started laughing as Cassandra tried to figure out what was going on. "Seline's mad because the rain stopped her from going to Uncle Salvatore's place, I'm mad because the rain means I can't go outside, and Bels is just here to be here." Daniela explained, which still didn't really clear up the situation. Cassandra just accepted it, and joined them in sitting at one of Castle Dimitrescu's many windows. She got bored almost instantly, though. "What do you all wanna dooooooooooo? This is boring!" Bela sighed. Of course she's bored. She hasn't even been sitting here for five minutes! Cassandra stretched, and turned to look at her sisters. "I know what we can do! We can play Hide and Hunt!" Daniela cheered, Bela groaned, and Seline looked excited. "What's Hide and Hunt? It sounds fun!" Bela started to swarm away. "It is NOT fun. I'm going to the library." Daniela booed as Bela left, but it was no use. She was absolutely not playing Hide and Hunt. "Dibs on being it!" Cassandra called, and Daniela huffed. "What is Hide and Hunt?!" Seline asked for the second time. "Well, it's kinda like Hide and Seek, except you can either hide or run. And if the person who's it catches you, you've gotta pretend to be dead!" Cassandra explained with a cruel glint in her eyes. However, she forced herself to remember that it was a game, not a real hunt. "That sounds so fun! "Well, let's get started! You can have five minutes to run, and then I'm coooooming~" Cassandra began counting, and the two took off in different directions. Daniela swarmed to the library, hoping to have Bela help her hide. Meanwhile, Seline made sure to stay well clear of the maid's closet, and before she knew it, she ended up in front of a door she hadn't noticed before. She opened the new door, and began heading down into what seemed like a basement. "Wow. I didn't know the Castle had a whole different floor!" Seline began exploring the underground passageways, and eventually ended up finding another door. For some reason, she felt incredibly nervous about opening it. Like there was something in there that would completely change everything. But open it she did, and it opened into something she wished she had never seen.
Cassandra happily swarmed around the castle. She loved this game. The maids all knew to stay out of her way as she peeked into every room, looking for her two sisters. "I'm gonna fiiiiiiind you~" Instilling fear in her prey made them so much easier to catch- wait. They aren't prey. This isn't a real hunt. They are your two sisters, not some humans. Well, Seline's a human, but not the kind for eating. Besides, she wouldn't be good to eat yet anyways. She's too young, and the meat would be too tender. Give it a couple years- what the hell am I thinking?! That's my sister! I'm so horrible… I'm a horrible sister. I bet nobody else in this family even thinks about stuff like this. I'm the most bloodthirsty Dimitrescu. They ought to lock me away in the dungeon. Everything that the humans say about me is true… Cassandra tried her best to shake away the thoughts that filled her head. I am playing a game right now. I need to focus. If I were Daniela, where would I go? Hmm… Probably the library, so I could hide behind Bela! Cassandra swarmed to the library quickly, where Bela was reading a large book. Peeking at the cover, it turned out she was reading about Forensic Science. That was enough to give Cassandra some pause. "Why are you reading that?" Bela looked up, a bit surprised. "Well, I figured… If I ever got a career, I think Forensics would be a good field to go into." She got back to her book, and Cassandra sighed. She really believes that she can have a real job one day… And here I thought she was the smart and sensible one. "Well, do you mind if I do… THIS?!" Cassandra easily flipped over Bela's chair, and found Daniela under it. "Gotcha, Dani!" Daniela sighed, accepting her fate. "Yeah, yeah, you got me. Kinda surprised you didn't find Seline first! I guess she must be really good at this game." The two girls swarmed away, looking for any sign of where she could've gone. They had been searching for a few moments, until Daniela noticed a slightly open door. The door that led to the basement… "CASSANDRA!" Her sister appeared beside her, and they both came to the same conclusion. She's going to find the dungeon. The two crashed down the stairs, with only one thought in their heads. Please don't let her have found it already. Unfortunately for the entire family… She had. Cassandra was the first one to find her, staring in horror at the amount of blood and body bags. "Seline, i-it's not what it looks like-" She turned around, and couldn't meet her sister's gaze. "You… You did this…?" Daniela struggled to find a good response. "W-we need to eat, Selly." That made sense to her, but… "And you eat… You eat people?" Neither of them responded, and that was a clear answer. Without saying anything else, Seline went upstairs and locked her door. Bela didn't need to think hard to figure out what happened. She went down to the basement, where Daniela and Cassandra were trying to figure out what to do. "She found the dungeon, didn't she?" The two nodded, and Bela sighed. "Well then. I don't think we can do anything." Daniela shook her head. "No. I won't allow it. There's gotta be something we can do! Maybe Mother can talk to her?" Cassandra bit her lip. "I hope that works." She was willing to do anything to convince her sister that they weren't bad people.
(A/N: Ohhhh snap-crackle-pop, Selly found the truth...)
