~~Hello readers, I hope you enjoyed the first chapter.
I don't own anything from Pokemon or Miles From Tomorrowland.
Only my original characters belong to me.~~
~On Team Plasma's Ship: Sioku's PoV~
It was now nighttime in the Pokemon world.
I woke up in an unfamiliar room.
This room was small with white walls.
There were a few medical machines around me.
They were all attached to different parts of the bed.
A long metal counter sat along the front wall.
I gasped in horror as I looked down.
My body was secured to the bed by heavy straps.
I frantically searched the room for Flareon, and she was nowhere to be seen.
"Flareon!" I called out.
A few seconds later, I heard some noises under the bed.
I curiously looked down to see something slowly crawling out from under the bed.
To my surprise, Flareon stood by my left side while fanning me with her fluffy tail.
"Hi Flareon," I greeted cheerfully.
Flareon licked my face in response.
I breathed a sigh of relief knowing she was okay.
Our happy reunion was suddenly interrupted when we heard the door swing open.
Flareon quickly hid herself under the bed.
The scientist known as Dr. Colress approached my bed with a menacing grin on his face.
"Good evening Sioku," he greeted.
I only shook my head at him.
Without another word to me, Dr. Colress walked over to the counter and grabbed a few items.
He returned carrying some needles and tubes.
I watched in anticipation as he attached the tubes to the rectangular machines on both sides of my bed.
He then inserted both needles into my arms.
I silently winced in pain.
Colress turned on both machines at once by pressing two round buttons on the top.
The machines produced a loud, repetitive beeping sound that scared me senseless.
I gasped in terror at that.
My heart pounded rapidly in my chest.
Blood was instantly extracted from my veins and poured into a tall glass bottle on each machine.
The intense pain was becoming unbearable for me with every second that passed by.
My head started to feel dizzy.
I forcefully held back a scream.
My fear of both the needles and those beeping noises immediately sent me into panic mode.
Without warning, I fell into a violent seizure.
Colress ignored it and focused on his experiment.
Flareon felt the bed shaking and crawled out.
Her fur heated up as she stared at me.
I came out of the seizure a minute later.
Flareon remained still while shivering in fear.
She didn't understand what was happening to me.
Tears poured from my eyes like waterfalls when I saw my Pokemon looking helpless.
Luckily, Colress didn't pay attention to her.
Dr. Colress turned off both machines once the bottles were filled all the way up with my blood.
He then removed the needles from my arms.
I felt instant relief once the overwhelming pain and beeping noises had finally stopped.
"Rest well my pet," he said softly to me while collecting the glass bottles of liquid.
"I'm not your pet," I snapped back.
Colress only laughed as he exited the room.
Flareon and I were finally alone.
Unfortunately, my health condition took a turn for the worse because of the blood loss.
I felt my body heating up from the inside.
It was getting difficult for me to breathe as well.
I was also covered in sweat.
Flareon hopped onto the bed beside me.
I snuggled into her fur and closed my eyes.
My body gave in to exhaustion, and I drifted into the darkness within a few minutes.
In my dream, I found myself in the large forest.
All of my Pokemon were inside their Pokeballs.
My curiosity immediately got the better of me, so I decided to go explore it.
There were many different plants and trees everywhere.
I also saw both familiar and unfamiliar species of Pokemon living here.
I carefully traveled along the narrow pathways while trying to avoid tree branches and vines.
The path eventually led me to a small cavern hidden under a cluster of trees.
I slowly stepped toward the cavern and looked inside.
All I could see was a pond in the middle.
The water was crystal clear.
"There must be no one in here," I thought.
I sat down beside the cavern to take a rest.
A light breeze brushed passed me as I relaxed.
To my surprise, I saw a bright light emitting from the pond along with a silhouette of a Pokemon.
The figure looked very familiar to me.
I remembered seeing it in a picture book at the trainer school when I was a little kid.
However, I never knew its name.
I heard something moving around in the water.
The Pokemon gracefully emerged from the pond before floating toward me.
"Hello," I greeted with a bright smile.
The green fairy-like Pokemon happily flew around me.
Its clear wings gleamed in the sunlight.
"You're really pretty," I complemented.
Before I could try to find some information, the Pokemon signaled for me to grab onto it.
I did so with slight hesitation.
The Pokemon and I soared into the sky.
I closed my eyes during the flight.
An orb of light energy surrounded us as we slowly descended in a new area.
The Pokemon gently set me down in a patch of soft grass before it flew off.
~The Future~
I woke up to an animal repeatedly nudging me in my right side with its nose.
Opening my eyes, I saw Flareon standing next to me.
She excitedly fanned me with her tail.
I couldn't help but smile at her.
"Hey Flareon, where are we anyway?" I whispered while curiously scanning my surroundings.
Flareon shook off in response.
This place looked like an abandoned park.
A chain-link fence surrounded the perimeter.
Flareon sniffed the floor as she walked around.
I looked forward and spotted a large object that resembled a spaceship.
"Flareon, do you know how we got here?" I asked with a look of shock.
Flareon only shook her head.
I tried to sit up, but my body was too weak.
Flareon caught me before I could fall.
"Thank you Flareon," I said softly.
Unfortunately, my condition hadn't improved at all.
I still felt very sick.
With all of my will power, I pulled myself up into a sitting position while holding onto Flareon's fur collar.
Sweat covered my face as I breathed heavily.
Flareon nuzzled me in a comforting way.
I jumped as I heard the spaceship's door opening.
"Is somebody here?" I thought.
A man stepped out of the ship and started walking around the new area.
"Come on Callistos, it's time to go exploring," he said.
My ears perked up at the sound of his voice.
Three more people followed after him.
One of the kids had a robotic animal by his side.
I curiously stared at them from a distance.
"They don't look bad," I thought.
Flareon's excitement got the best of her, and she panted while rushing over to them.
"There she goes," I said with a sigh.
The other people seemed thrilled to see her.
"Hey Mom, where do you think this new creature came from?" asked the little boy.
"I have no idea Miles. This is the first time I've seen it," answered his mother.
The little girl smiled as she studied Flareon's features.
"It looks like a fox with rabbit ears," she pointed out.
The little boy giggled in response.
The kids began to play with Flareon.
Flareon chased them while wagging her tail.
"Who does this furry creature belong to?" the woman quietly wondered to herself.
"I had the same question," the man replied.
"Flareon... come back!" I called.
She didn't pay any attention to me.
Instead, she continued playing with the kids.
I weakly flopped back down onto the grass.
My body trembled like a leaf as I shifted uncomfortably in the grass.
The man gasped when he heard my voice and immediately started walking toward me.
"I'll be right back," he called to his family.
"Okay Honey," replied his wife.
The energy in his voice made me smile.
I pushed myself up again as he approached me.
"Excuse me sir, have you seen Flareon?" I whispered.
He noticed my weakened state right away and carefully knelt down to my level.
Seeing this man up close took my breath away.
I sensed a peaceful aura around him.
"Hold on mis, are you all right?" he asked softly.
"No, who are you?" I replied quietly.
"I'm Leo Callisto," he answered.
"My name is Sioku," I whispered back.
I was about to fall again until Leo caught me.
Leo wrapped his arms around my upper body.
"Wo Sioku, please try to relax. I've got you," he reassured while holding me tight.
His voice provided a sense of comfort.
I laid my head on his chest.
Being in Leo's warm embrace helped me calm down.
"Sioku, do you know how you ended up here?" he asked curiously.
"No," I briefly answered.
Leo paused as he looked down at the bandages on my arms. "Sioku, what happened to you? Did you get hurt recently?"
I looked down at the extraction spots on my arms. "Yes, my blood was forcefully extracted."
Leo's eyes widened with horror at my response.
"Sioku, are you serious? Who did this to you?" he replied with a somber expression.
"An evil scientist," I answered.
I wrapped my arms tightly around Leo as a terrifying flashback entered my mind.
Those repetitive beeping noises from Dr. Colress' machines echoed loudly in my head.
"What's the matter Sioku?" he whispered.
There was no response from me.
My body started to shake as I breathe heavily.
"Sioku?" Leo said frantically.
I still didn't respond.
"She doesn't look good," he sadly thought.
Leo grabbed my hand and held it firmly. "Stay with me Sioku, I'm right here.
Fortunately, both Leo's voice and his gentle touch brought me back to the present.
I squeezed his hand while staring up at him.
"Leo," I whispered.
"I'm here Sioku," he reassured.
"What just happened to you?" he added.
"I had a flashback," I answered.
Leo then stood up with me in his arms. "Don't worry Sioku, my family and I will get you some help."
I nodded before laying back down on his chest.
Without further hesitation, Leo hurried over to his wife.
"Pardon me Phoebe, but we have an emergency. This girl needs our help," he urged.
Phoebe gasped at the sight of my weakend body.
"Oh no, the poor kid looks sick! We should find the nearest doctor," she replied.
"My thoughts exactly," Leo added.
As Leo headed back inside the ship, Phoebe called for her kids. "Miles! Loretta! It's time to leave now!"
"We're coming Mom," they called back.
The brother and sister came running toward their mother with Flareon following behind them.
Flareon immediately took off inside the ship as soon as she spotted Leo and me.
Leo didn't notice her since he was busy tending to me.
"Mom, where are we going?" asked Loretta.
"Leo found a girl here, and we're taking her to a hospital," Phoebe explained.
"Why? What happened?" Loretta continued.
"She is sick," answered Phoebe.
Miles paused as he watched Flareon disappear. "Wait a minute, could that furry creature Loretta and I were playing with earlier be hers?"
"Maybe," answered Phoebe.
"That creature is really cute," added Loretta.
Miles jumped up with joy as a thought crossed his mind. "Can Loretta and I take care of the creature until its owner comes back?"
"That would be very helpful Miles. Thank you," Phoebe answered brightly.
"Blastastic!" exclaimed Miles.
Loretta gave her younger brother an uncertain look. "Miles, are you sure?"
"Come on Loretta, how hard can it be? It will be just like taking care of Merc!" Miles gleefully encouraged.
"Miles, this living creature isn't a robot. We don't know anything about it," Loretta argued.
"I'm sure you two can learn a lot about this creature by playing with it," Phoebe interrupted.
"That's true," Loretta replied thoughtfully.
Phoebe then led the kids inside.
The ship's doors closed once everybody was inside.
Leo settled in on a couch next to Phoebe.
I was fast asleep in his arms.
"Stella, please put yourself on auto pilot. Set a course for the nearest hospital," he commanded.
"Affirmative Leo," replied a computer voice.
Leo continued to monitor my condition as the ship soared through the air.
"Hang in there Sioku," Leo said softly.
I smiled in response to his voice.
Phoebe grinned as she watched her children entertain themselves by playing with Flareon.
Flareon seemed to enjoy being around them.
The ship eventually landed at the entrance to a small hospital and came to a complete stop.
"Attention Callistos! We have arrived at the nearest hospital," informed Stella.
"Thank you Stella," replied Phoebe.
I opened my eyes and looked around.
"Hey Sioku," Leo said lovingly.
"Hi Leo," I whispered back.
He gently placed his hand on my forehead.
His gentle touch helped me stay calm.
"Hey Phoebe, will you and the kids be all right if I stay in the hospital with Sioku?" asked Leo quietly.
"Of course Dear, Sioku really likes you. I'm sure she would appreciate your love and support in there," Phoebe answered warmly.
"Thanks Honey," Leo added.
After standing up, Leo exited the ship while still holding me. "You're going to be okay Sioku."
"We'll be here when you return," said Phoebe.
"Bye Dad," called Miles and Loretta.
Leo quickly walked into the hospital.
After checking me in, Leo and I waited in the lobby.
My nerves tensed up with anxiety.
"Sioku!" called the nurse.
Leo carried me into the back room.
He then laid me down on the bed.
I started to tremble while looking around the room.
"Please don't leave my side Leo," I said sadly.
Leo gently grabbed my hand. "You don't have to worry Sioku, I'm not going anywhere."
His reassurance helped me relax a bit.
"Hello sir, why have you brought Sioku here today?" the nurse asked Leo.
"She is very sick," he answered.
The nurse then checked my vital signs.
I shivered with fear as the medical equipment came in contact with my skin.
"You're okay Sioku," assured Leo.
I focused on the soothing sound of his voice.
The nurse then typed all of her information into the computer and saved it in a file.
"I have good news for you sir, Sioku will not be admitted into the hospital. Her fever just needs to be treated with some IV fluids for a few hours. The doctor will be in shortly," explained the nurse.
"Thank you ma'am," replied Leo.
A doctor entered the room as the nurse was leaving.
"Good evening you two," he greeted.
"Same to you sir," replied Leo.
I stared at Leo to keep myself from watching the doctor prepare my medication.
The doctor then wheeled a machine to my other side before releasing the wires.
I gasped in terror as soon as he inserted a few needles into my veins.
"It's okay Sioku, I'm right here. Focus on me," Leo said as he held me close to him.
I buried my face into his chest.
Leo soothingly stroked my hair.
I closed my eyes and tried to relax.
The machine began producing a slow, constant beeping sound as soon as the doctor powered it up.
I whimpered as the shaking in my body intensified.
"Hey, calm down Sioku. This will all be over soon. I promise," Leo reassured.
"Excuse me sir, does this young girl have a terrible fear of medical facilities?" asked the doctor.
"Maybe, but Sioku and I just met today. I don't know very much about her yet," Leo answered honestly.
I eventually fell asleep in Leo's embrace.
Leo called Phoebe on his quest com. "Hey Honey, Sioku and I will be in here for at least a few hours. How are you and the kids doing?"
"We're all okay," Phoebe answered.
"That's good, I'm just checking in while Sioku is asleep. We'll see you guys later," Leo added.
"Bye Honey," replied Phoebe.
~On The Stellosphere: No PoV~
Phoebe, Miles, and Loretta were doing separate activities to keep their minds occupied.
Flareon decided to explore the ship while she waited for Sioku to come back to her.
She heard a variety of noises coming from one of the rooms and curiously followed them.
The little boy named Miles turned away from his hollo game and smiled at Flareon as she entered.
"Hey Merc, our new friend is in here! Let's go play with it buddy," he said excitedly.
The robo-ostrich known as Merc happily chirped at him in response.
Flareon curiously sniffed Merc while walking in slow circles around him.
Merc stared up at Miles confused.
"It's okay Merc, the fox just wants to get to know you. It won't hurt us," Miles assured.
Merc started to relax as he sensed Flareon.
Miles pulled a high tech boomerang out of his pocket. "Hey Merc, the fox might like to chase things."
Merc chirped at him in agreement.
Merc nodded in agreement.
"Lazerang... launch!" shouted Miles as he threw his boomerang far away.
Flareon immediately chased after it.
"I was right Merc," said Miles victoriously.
The boomerang flew around Miles' room.
Flareon hopped over piles of objects to try and catch it.
"Look out Merc!" shouted Miles as Flareon chased the boomerang back toward them.
Merc squealed as he ran away from Flareon.
"Don't worry Merc," said Miles.
Flareon excitedly jumped on Miles while panting and wagging her long fluffy tail.
Miles fell to the floor.
Merc quickly ran up to Miles.
"I'm okay buddy," Miles assured.
He laughed as Flareon kept licking his face.
A knock at the door suddenly startled the three of them.
"Come in," hollered Miles.
Loretta carefully opened the door before walking into her brother's room.
"Sorry for all the noise," said Miles nervously.
"Your room is a disaster Miles," Loretta pointed out as she scanned the area.
"I know," Miles replied with a sigh.
Flareon quickly slid off of Miles and stood up.
She then walked up to Loretta.
"What brings you in here?" asked Miles.
"I was searching for that new creature you and I brought on the ship," Loretta answered as she looked around.
Miles used Merc to balance himself as he stood up.
"It's in here," he replied.
Flareon wagged her tail while staring at Loretta.
Loretta giggled as she spotted Flareon standing in front of her. "I see it now."
A long period of silence passed between them.
Loretta stood still as Flareon sniffed her.
"Hey Loretta, when do you think this creature's owner will come back to get it?" asked Miles.
"Hopefully soon, I don't want those two to stay separated for a long time. They'll miss each other a lot," Loretta answered sadly.
"Yeah, I agree with you Loretta. I wouldn't want to be separated from Merk," Miles replied as he looked at his robot friend.
Merc nuzzled Miles in agreement.
Loretta held her hand out to Flareon.
Flareon licked her hand before laying down.
"The fox looks tired," said Miles.
"It's probably warn out from playing with you and Merc," Loretta replied before laughing.
~At The Hospital: Sioku's PoV~
Two hours had passed by since the doctor hooked me up to an IV machine to treat my sickness.
My new friend Leo Callisto continued to stay by the bedside and watched my condition improve.
I woke up and stared at Leo who was holding me tightly.
Being in his warm embrace made me feel safe and less afraid of my surroundings.
I also felt more energetic and happy.
The constant beeping noises didn't bother me very much anymore because I had Leo there to distract me.
"Hello Sioku," he greeted.
"Hi Leo," I replied with a smile.
"How are you feeling?" he continued.
"I'm feeling much better now. Thank you for bringing me here. You saved my life," I answered gratefully.
Leo smiled and held me close to him. "You're very welcome Sioku, I couldn't just leave you there. I would never forgive myself if I didn't help you."
A long period of silence passed between us.
"Hey Sioku, did you have an animal with you before we took you to the hospital?" started Leo.
My mind flashed back to when Flareon met Leo's family.
"Yes Leo, I had a Pokemon named Flareon with me. Do you know where she is?" I replied slightly panicked.
Leo sensed my fear and tightened his hold on me.
"Hold on Sioku, please don't get worked up. Does Flareon look like a fox?" Leo said calmly.
"Yes," I answered briefly.
"Flareon is safe inside my spaceship. It's called the Stellosphere. My kids are taking care of your furry friend," Leo explained.
I breathed a sigh of relief.
"I'm glad she is in good hands," I replied.
Our conversation was suddenly interrupted when the doctor entered the room.
"Hello," he greeted.
"Good afternoon Sir," replied Leo.
The doctor checked my vital signs again.
"Sioku looks much better. All she needs now is to stay hydrated and rest," he said while removing my IVs.
"That's great news," Leo replied.
I carefully sat up with Leo supporting me from behind.
He held onto me as I stepped onto the floor.
I leaned on him for support.
"I won't let you fall Sioku," Leo assured.
I smiled at him in response.
Even though my fever had gone down, I still didn't have enough strength yet.
"Thank you Doctor," I said as we headed for the door.
"Take care of yourself," he replied.
Leo and I then exited the room.
"I have an idea Sioku, would you like to stay with my family and me for a while?" Leo suggested.
I suddenly paused at that as a train of thought passed through my mind. "Hold on Leo, are you serious? You would really let me do that?"
"Sure Sioku," Leo answered with a smile.
My face lit up with joy. "I would love to stay with you guys! Thanks again for rescuing me."
"It was no trouble at all Sioku. The Callistos always help people in need," Leo replied enthusiastically.
We sat in the waiting area so Leo could call his family.
He contacted Phoebe on his quest com. "Hi Honey, I'm on my way back to the Stellosphere with Sioku."
"How is she doing?" replied Phoebe.
"Sioku is feeling much better now. Would you mind if she stayed with us for a while? Sioku can't remember how she came here."
"Of course she can stay with us. We have plenty of room for her," she answered cheerfully.
"Thank you Phoebe, Sioku and I will be there soon. See you then," Leo replied before hanging up.
He then helped me get back on my feet.
"Are you ready to go Sioku?" he whispered.
I only nodded in response.
Leo carefully led me out the door.
We then headed back toward his spaceship.
Stella sensed Leo and me as we entered. "Greetings Leo, who's your new friend?"
"Stella, this is Sioku. She will be staying with us for a while," Leo answered kindly.
"Hi Stella," I greeted shyly.
"I'm pleased to meet you Sioku," she replied.
"Let's go Sioku," said Leo.
I cautiously followed him into a large room.
He helped me settle in on a long couch next to him.
"You'll be safe here Sioku," he softly assured.
"Thank you Leo," I replied.
I curiously looked around the room.
It looked like a normal family room to me.
A few minutes later, Phoebe entered the room followed by her two children and the animals.
"Hey Honey," greeted Phoebe.
She sat down on the couch next to Leo.
"Hey Phoebe," Leo greeted back.
Phoebe then looked at me and smiled brightly. "Hello mis, you must be Sioku. My name is Phoebe Callisto, it's nice to meet you.
"I'm glad to meet you Phoebe," I simply replied.
"Dad! We missed you!" the kids shouted in unison as they joyfully ran up to Leo.
"I missed you guys too," Leo replied as he lovingly embraced both of them.
"Hey Dad, did you ever find that fox creature's owner while you were away for a few hours?" asked Loretta.
"I sure did Star Shine," answered Leo.
"Really? Where is she?" continued Miles.
"Yes Miles, her name is Sioku. She is sitting right here next to me," Leo answered calmly.
"Hello you two," I greeted with a smile.
The little boy stood in front of me with a wide grin on his face. "Hi Sioku, I'm Miles."
I couldn't help but grin at him.
"Give her some space Miles," the girl said sternly.
Miles frowned and stepped backward.
He then pointed to the girl standing next to him. "This is my older sister Loretta."
"Nice to meet you Sioku," Loretta added.
Leo's joyous expression changed into one of seriousness when he looked at his kids. "Miles, Loretta, I just brought Sioku here from the hospital. She is still recovering from her sickness. You two need to be very careful around her."
"Of course Dad," replied Loretta.
Okay," added Miles.
Miles' cheerful expression suddenly turned sad as he looked at me. "Hey Sioku, did you get hurt?"
"Yes, but I'll tell you all the whole story later. I just don't want to have a flashback. It could lead to a major panic attack," I explained.
"That's understandable," replied Phoebe.
I straightened myself up and looked at the kids.
"Thank you for taking good care of her. My creature's name is Flareon, and she is a Pokemon. Flareon can use fire powers," I gratefully explained.
"That's galactic!" exclaimed Miles.
I giggled at that in response.
"Miles, where is Flareon anyway?" asked Loretta.
"She and Merc are sleeping in my room. They got tired after chasing my lazerang," Miles answered before laughing.
"Who is Merc?" I interrupted.
"Merc is our pet robo-ostrich," answered Leo.
"Wow, a robot pet? I've never seen one of those before," I replied with excitement.
"He's also my best friend," added Miles.
"Flareon is my best friend as well," I replied.
Our conversation was suddenly cut off when we heard noises coming toward us.
I looked to my left and saw Flareon running into the room with the robotic animal trailing behind her.
"Hi Merc, I'm so glad to see you. You're looking all charged up. Did you take a good nap?" said Miles as the robo-ostrich approached him.
Merc chirped at Miles in response.
I stared at Merc with wide eyes.
"Wo, your robot pet looks really cool. You guys are lucky to have him," I complemented.
"Merc has a special power called booster jets. He can also get upgrades," replied Phoebe.
I stared at her confused.
"It allows him to travel faster," added Loretta.
"Come here Flareon," I called in a cheerful way.
Flareon immediately jumped into my lap.
Leo smiled as he ruffled Flareon's fur.
She spun around in circles while wagging her tail.
"Settle down," I said firmly.
Flareon sighed as she sat down.
I pulled her into a tight hug.
Flareon's tail sparked wildly as she growled and watched Merc approach us.
"You stop that," I scolded.
"What happened?" asked Loretta.
"Flareon was about to use thunderbolt on Merc," I answered, feeling slightly embarrassed.
Merc turned away and walked back toward Miles.
"Sioku, how long have you had Flareon?" asked Leo.
"Five years," I briefly answered.
"Where are you and Flareon from?" continued Phoebe.
"The Sinnoh region, its one of eight regions in the Pokemon world. I live in a place called Twinleaf Town. My Pokemon and I travel around the region to compete in special contests," I explained.
"You may stay here until we figure out how to get you back to your own world," offered Leo.
"Thank you very much," I replied.
"That's a stellar idea," added Miles.
Miles and Loretta then sat down on a different couch with Merc between them.
Leo softly petted Flareon as she laid down across his lap and fell asleep
I snuggled against Leo's shoulder and closed my eyes..
"Stella, set a course for Tomorrowland," commanded Phoebe.
"Affirmative Captain Callisto," Stella replied.
The Stellosphere slowly ascended before taking off into the clear blue sky once again.
