Kagami waited patiently for Marinette, it was her first meeting with her best, and only, friend since school had let out two days prior and she held a grin on her lips at the prospect of hanging out with Marinette and not needing to cut a fun day short for studies, her mother already allowed for her to clear the whole day out to spend with her friend. It certainly helped that Marinette scheduled this two months Prior with her mother because without that Kagami wasn't sure if they'd be allowed this day to hang out together.

As the sun rose higher into the sky Kagami couldn't help but glance at her bag, her mind wandering to the Kwami within and all that it entailed, she may have received Tikki days ago now but it still felt odd to her, having a miraculous full time, especially Ladybug's Miraculous, was still not something she fully comprehended, even reaching to her new earrings now and then to make sure she wasn't dreaming when it happened.

These thoughts vacated her mind temporarily as Marinette walked up towards her, Kagami shouldered her bag once more and let her smile grow in excitement. A fun day with a close friend was exactly what she needed.

"Hi Kagami," Marinette said, she wore a smile on her face but something felt off with this smile. It held the kindness Marinette was known for but there was an unease behind it, a wavering Kagami only noticed due to the sheer amount of time they spent together that granted her the insight on Marinette to know something was troubling her friend.

"Hi Marinette, is something the matter?" Kagami asked, her friend looked shocked for a moment, unsure on how to respond before giving out a sigh.

"Well Kagami, I need to tell you something." Marinette said, Kagami nodded, eyes focused on the bluenette giving her undivided attention, "I was hoping to tell you later so I didn't spoil our day together but... Well, I'm moving, uh, away from Paris, To America."

Kagami blinked, "America? Why are you moving so far?"

"Well, my parents haven't been happy with the situation at my school and thought maybe spending a few years with my uncle Vinny would be for the best." Marinette explained her face growing crimson as her body began trembling.

Kagami knew what was happening at that school and has on multiple occasions tried to convince Marinette to transfer to her own school, always turned down with the high cost of attendance being stated as the reason why, but to hear that she was going to America? It felt strange. "How long until you have to leave?"

"My flight leaves at seven am tomorrow, all my stuff is packed already so there isn't anything else I need to do today, we can just hang out and you can come over for dinner if you want." Marinette said with a sad smile.

"Then I guess we must make the most out of today." Kagami said.

"I'm telling you Nancy I think she'll like it," A lady said, the two stood next to each other gazing at their handiwork, a fresh coat of aqua paint stood on the wall, while decorations were scare there was a bunk bed sitting in the corner held by a white frame with a light pink set of sheets and blankets, the door to the main house stood behind them but another door lay shut in front of them leading to a balcony Vinny built with his friends a few months prior to give their niece more space.

While none of her nieces things have arrived at the house yet Nancy had set out earlier to purchase a few sets of clothes, and some threads while setting up her grandmothers sewing machine next to a brand new sketchbook and pencils her husband picked out for any creative ideas she had while waiting for her normal set up to arrive from France.

"She has a walk in closet next to us, a balcony, and a bed, she has everything she needs and what she doesn't is going to be shipped over anyways" the second woman said, she had long blonde hair tied in a ponytail and deep blue eyes, a smirk crept up on her lips watching as Nancy proceeded to give a sigh,

"You're right as usual Amelie, I'm just worried because I haven't seen Marinette in years and I'm not sure if she'll like it" Nancy said.

"It's fine, I'm sure she'll be happy to see you after so long," Amelie responded, giving her old friend a pat on the back.

"Yea, I'm just gonna tidy up the downstairs before she gets here, ohh do you want to come over for dinner next week? You can bring Junior, he should be Marinette's age isn't he?"

"He should be, that sounds like a fun plan, gives her time to settle in and us a chance to meet her, and you a chance to see him for the first time in a little while."

Adrien hasn't left his room since Fu left.

Why would he?

What point would leaving achieve.

He was trying to think of a reason to leave, laying back down on the upturned furniture, gazing at the product of his rage. Most of the room was a mess, his anger at Plagg, Ladybug, and Fu taken out and leaving the formally neat and tidy vision of a perfect boys room with piles of debris from his tantrum after he woke up.

What did he mean? He never hurt anyone, sure people suffered but it was a battlefield why wouldn't they? Hawkmoths akumas hurt all those people he'd have been able to help them more if Fu and Ladybug gave him some more information. At the thought he could feel his skin heat up again as he threw the nearest object he could get a hold of, a broken lamp, shattering the remainder of it against the wall.

Who did he hurt? They were the ones who kept information from him, information that would've helped save those lives they were oh so worried about. Now he couldn't help anyone with Plagg gone.

His thoughts were interrupted by his phones alert going off, the one item spared of his rampage due to it hiding in his pocket, he pulled it out and stared at the Ladyblog updates, he muted them before the battle and now he saw how many were piling up as the days went by, but the real notification he got was from Lila. a link to a video made by Alya, he saw the notification for it sent two minutes ago and clicked on it.

Alya's smiling face greeted him. "Hey Lady-bloggers, while I know we've been talking about the Ladybug retirement scandal over the past four days I wanted to take a moment to do something different. We've received eyewitness testimony from our most reliable source that one girl decided to go out and harm innocents in an Akuma attack, her name Marinette Dupain-Cheng." The image switched, presenting a file photo of the aforementioned girl recoiling in disgust at something.

"Some of you may recognize her as an old artist and helper for the Ladyblog's early days but alas it looks like she's fallen a long way, not just figuratively." The image switched again, now focused on Marinette on the last day of school as her body dropped down the stairs, he got another angle of her body failing to support itself tumbling down the flight of stairs and landing with a chorus of laughter overwhelming the thud of her body slamming into the ground he heard that day.

Alya's face reappeared on the screen, a scowl on her lips "as you know the Ladyblog encourages everyone to support each other during akuma attacks, and we absolutely do not tolerate her actions. So to show you all how we respond to those who'd hurt such an upstanding citizen while she was already being targeted by an akuma, we're gonna dispose of a sketch book she left on the scene." She moved the camera itself for this, showing a bash looking Lila and a rather tense Nino standing next to a bucket with a fire inside, Alya set the camera up to show the scene before joining the other two and showing off the book, taking time to show a few pages that were clearly colored and drawn over before ripping them out and chucking them into the flames before dropping the entire book into said bucket.

The camera was tilted to get a view inside the bucket, black smoke almost covering the view as the flames crept up the cover, the red flames growing by the second while the books covers and pages shrunk and darkened with holes opening up. "And hopefully that will remind all of you, never mess with anyone especially during an akuma attack, until next time."

Adrien watched the camera zoom in on the flames, licking and destroying the book slowly in front of not just his eyes but the eyes of everyone who checks out the ladyblog, he didn't realize it but his lips curled up into a smile at the sight of one of Marinette's sketch books going into flames, his eyes glanced down at the comment section in front of him.

"How could someone do that during an akuma attack? So cruel to even think about hurting someone else during an akuma attack."

"Why did we take a break from the LB retirement for this? People suck we get it. I wanna hear more about the big news."

"I was debating on trying to help you out and this video post told me everyone. Ever see The Lorax? *video clip: "I say let it die! Let it die, let it die!"* This explains everything I feel about this blog."

Adrien's reading was interrupted by the door opening, his head snapped to the side and his eyes widened as his father entered the room.

The Paris Charles de Gaulle airport was quite busy, people making their way about the terminals towards flights, grabbing bags and moving to cars ready to take them to any number of destinations in Paris.

"Are you sure you have everything you need?" Sabine asked

"I'm sure, just send the last batch of boxes and I'll have everything I'll need," Marinette said with a smile, her uncle stood behind her while she gave her mom and dad one last hug, out of the corner of her eye she could se Master Fu, keeping his distance but still here to send her off.

"Stay safe, listen to Vinny and make sure to have fun." Her father said with tears threatening to spill from his eyes.

"Of course papa, I'll miss you both and call you as soon as I land," She said, their arms finally resting as they looked at eachother one more time.

"Wait! Marinette!" Marinette turned to see Kagami running up to their small group, her mother and her mother's attendant calmly walking up behind her. Kagami crashed into Marinette in what could only be described as a glomp. Kagami squeezed her arms around Marinette, and the smaller French-Chinese girl had tears swarming her eyes. "Mother allowed me to say a final farewell. Himari-san helped saying that it wouldn't be very honorable to let the one friend that I made on my own to leave without wishing you good fortune on your travels."

"Kagami!" Marinette cried. The two girls stood there crying and clinging to each other as the adults stood around smiling. "I'm going to miss you so much!"

"Yes, because technology suddenly doesn't exist in the world," Himari said amused at the interaction. The two girls looked at Tomoe's assistant in shock, they had forgotten that they were could even talk to each other. The idea of long distance friendship never came to their minds.

"Yes, Kagami, you're allowed to continue to communicate with Mademoiselle Dupain-Cheng as long as it does not interfere with your studies or training," Tomoe said amused.

"I thought you did not approve of Marinette, mother," Kagami stated.

"Whatever gave you that idea? Mademoiselle Dupain-Cheng is a perfect balance of careful planning and precise execution that I believe you can learn from," Tomoe replied.

The friends gave each other one final hug before Vinny tapped Marinette on the shoulder. "It's almost time for us to board."

"He's right, I'll make sure to call you when I land Kagami, I'll miss you so much." Marinette said she could feel a tiny but real squeezing on her ankle, one that she knew belonged to Tikki as she could feel her former Kwami leave and return to her new holder.

"Till next time Marinette."

"Till next time Kagami."

With their final goodbyes the two friends separated, walking in opposite directions as Marinette went to begin her new life.
