*Chapter 94*
Warbles of dull, red lighting, the stale, musty smell of dirty, metal hallways, the sound of dripping water from far off in the echo chamber of it all, Gideon gently fluttered his eyes in awakening confusion and got a good look about. In a darkened, wide hallway, Gideon peered down one end and could hear the drone of a massive crowd, the bass of an announcer's voice echoed about the place, it all was indecipherable and Gideon was now entirely positive he had no clue where he was. As he peered down the massive stretch of a corridor that lead to bright, glaring arena lights, he felt his coding do a dance of shaken assurance as he very quickly came to the cozy realization that he was dreaming, and now all of this was a lucid canvas he could explore. Tugged out of the refines of robotic dreaming, he felt his core physically loosen, and as he tossed his eyes down the other end of the corridor, he flinched in hot shock and held his breath as to just what he caught with.
Kepa stood faced away from him, her wings were gently loosened behind her back in an easy gape of a sprawl, her tail was low and delicately curled above the ground directly by her feet, stood to full height. As Gideon began to hurry over to her, it took his brain a moment to realize that she was stone, and as he cautiously rounded her, he huffed a shaky breath and tried to force a smile, though somehow, the gash on his inner arm now began to fervently remind him of it's existence. He winced, glanced down to it and returned his curious gaze to Kepa's stone face. Lovely white stone, the sturdy statue she was, she lacked any of the gorgeous painted stripes he had previously crowned her with. Her facial expression was soft and sorrowful, and upon close inspection, Gideon could see rounds of tears, cast in her stone figure, in small orbs that lined her cheeks and jaw, frozen in time. Gideon furrowed his brow in a prickle of further confusion and drew his eyes to her line of sight, and what she was faced was a massive wall of a door, sealed with huge teeth and cogs right down the middle.
A beam of a flickering, dim, old red light hung above this ominous, blackened metal door. The ground was nastily littered with still puddles of dirty water, the walls seemingly looked leaky, the air was stiff and musty, everything about this realm was dark and unforgiving, and though it all seemed terrible, Gideon felt a weird wiggle of welcome fall over him. Curious to push the boundaries of his lucid state, he inhaled a readied breath and cued up his coding, though upon doing so, he huffed a hard noise of painful complaint and nervously peered to his hand. What was usually a sprawl of his beautiful, stick-straight circuitry, all clad in Ralph's and Vanellope's lovely, electric purple, was now worms of glowing, hot white confusion, wiggles of swirls and frayed squares that flickered in messy confusion. Although an oddly beautiful sight, Gideon choked a shaky noise of protest as he could feel his heartbeat now angrily surge from the base of his spine all the way to the base of his skull, like timed lightning, as if cueing up his coding, like such, made his body work much harder than it needed to. With this feeling, he grit his teeth and now felt desperate to open the metal door before him, an urge deep in his heart, and as his glowing white fingertips barely laid to the dirty metal, in a split second jump-scare he didn't even have time to comprehend, the doors shot open and unleashed a lunge of a horrible, black mass of a beast directly for his figure.
Gideon jolted in a sharp, gentle kick of his legs and pried his eyes open amidst the tight suck of an inhale, through his nose, and as his terrified, boggled eyes caught with the powered off television of the lighthouse's common room, Gideon laid flexed and stiff in his spot as he hurriedly allowed his ears to patiently assess his prickled-silent surroundings. Noting only the faded sound of the ocean's waves outside the sealed doors and windows of their lovely lighthouse, Gideon finally exhaled a trembling breath through his nose after holding for nearly thirty seconds of terrified assessment. As he came back to his body, he grimaced and felt the gash on his upper arm surge and throb with the pulse of his now faster heart beat. He scanned his eyes about his dim surroundings and noted that he was laid where he fell asleep, on the common room's massive square sectional, big enough for the likes of Novus. He was cutely tucked into the bend of the couch, buried in a heavy, fluffy blanket and having donned nothing but a tight, lazy tank and his equally as lazy grey sweats, he smacked his lips and desperately tried to remind himself that it was only a bad dream and he was safe and sound inside Turbotime. His next step, upon just barely sitting up, was to source Kepa, though as he tossed his eyes over the backrest of the sectional and into the main room, kitchen and entry way, he froze as his eyes caught with Kepa's figure.
Stood in the same exact positioning he had just seen her in, inside of his semi-lucid nightmare, she faced the lighthouse's sealed front door and stood in her stone state. Her gorgeous wings held in the same exact positioning, everything was replicated, though the only difference was the gorgeous splay of black, brown and creamy stripes Gideon had patiently painted on her before they had properly met. Understanding that it was way too early in the morning to fully get up and begin a new day, noting the periwinkle sky outside with the promise of a full sunrise within the next twenty minutes or so, Gideon sagged back down to the couch and somehow felt nervousness crawl over him. Knowing he could just approach Kepa and ask if she could come to life and comfort him, he massively hesitated for a strange reason he couldn't source. Although feeling rocked from said sudden jump-scare, he sagged back into the couch, laid his head down, grimaced and tried to get his arm comfortable and understood the lighthouse was massively protected by Kepa's fervent wall of a proper, alert defense, both physically and mentally.
The room was still with easy love, memories of their escapades on the beach mere hours prior finally began to tickle his brain, and as he lulled his eyes closed and vowed to think about nothing but that, he silently thanked Kepa for standing facing the door, on full guard. Although unnecessary, due to the building alarm he had installed, he knew that if anyone were to come snooping and looking into the windows, they'd see Kepa's haunting, stone figure in the entry way and likely high-tail it out of the game. Gideon smiled and nearly chuckled at the thought, and though his nightmare shook him a little, he eventually sagged in relief and was glad he had Kepa as his own little guardian angel, a diligent stance she took while he peacefully slept. Though he'd selfishly prefer if she'd come sit or even lay with him, he knew that somehow their little embers of romance would eventually burn bright, and potentially rushing to the good, deeper and intimate bits might not be wise. All things he knew he was at least safe to silently fantasize about, he easily drifted back to sleep feeling safe in Kepa's protective watch.
After about four or five hours of more solid sleep that Gideon definitely needed, after the near-five he gained before his nightmare, he could feel his consciousness come back to his body and return to the now subtle, lovely ambience of the common room. What once was a dimly lit, periwinkle blue of twilight was now a glowing, lovely warm room of sunny goodness, the smell of bacon and eggs filled the room with desire, and to top it all off with a cherry, Gideon fluttered his eyes in full delight as he could not only hear Kepa's little coffee machine gurgle as it worked and the sizzling of said bacon, it was all so sweetly encompassed by Kepa's dainty, aimless, girly humming. Gideon long-blinked as he allowed his body and mind to wake up and really marinate it every single sense of his that was being so sweetly catered to, a snuggly hug his heart was desperate for, the raw notion that all he had to do was sit up and he would have access to every single last touch of love and happiness Kepa now swiftly had to offer in the form of food, friendship, romance and cultivated sanctuary, he lulled his eyes closed and felt it all way too good to be true. With a careful shift, Gideon grimaced and brought himself to a lazy sit on the couch, he tossed his heavy, sleepy gaze across the sunny, loved abode and sourced Kepa.
Kepa, in youthful, blissful unawares, smacked her finger out of her mouth after she had gotten done transferring some of the sizzling bacon to a clean plate from the drying rack. She wore a big billowy yellow hoodie and her favorite baggy black sweats with the gaping hole in the left knee. Although her huge hood was up over her head, the fabric had proper cuts in the sides of the hoodie so her big ears could stick through. Some of her messy, wavy pink hair spilled from the gape of said hoodie, down the front of her neck and chest, her tail lazily wagged in slow succession as she hummed an adorable, aimless little tune. She began to pour herself a cup of coffee and sourced the creamer in the fridge. After she had fixed up her cup, she slowly turned around to face the television and main common room, as well as the couch where Gideon was now lazily half-sat up in a slouched lean against the back of the couch, and as her adorable black nose fervently sniffled at the steamy hot coffee sturdily gripped in both of her hands and now brought tight to her face, she froze, perked her huge ears forward in prickled discovery and stiffened in the joyous proof that she was excited that Gideon was finally present. She grinned in awakened cuteness, though before she could usher him a very hearty notion of welcome, she erupted into soft laughter at the sheer splay of chaotic bedhead the state of Gideon's auburn hair was in.
"I'm willing to bet those nighttime pain meds did the trick, huh," Kepa cooed cutely over the louder sizzling sound of more slices of bacon she cooked, Gideon shyly and sleepily grinned in a toss down to the couch's huge, billowy cushions. Kepa sweetly carried on, "How'd you sleep?"
"Great... I slept so hard, it feels like days have gone by," Gideon's much deeper, croaking voice struggled to speak, due to just now waking up. He inhaled a raspy, hearty breath and now grunted to bring himself off of the huge sectional and to a lazy stand.
"Good, you needed it," Kepa assured warmly, she eagerly watched as Gideon's very tall figure finally crawled to a full stand, with his back to her, and finished with a raise of his arms in a stiffening, refreshing stretch to the high ceilings above, though he grimaced a hard groan out to the air and sagged as he nervously clutched his outer right arm, still properly bandaged and out of the sling he had it in the night prior, "C'mon, got breakfast for yah. It's been years since I've been able to spoil someone, like this."
"By the smell of it, I am more than happy to be your guinea pig," Gideon's still very deep, croaking voice struggled to get words out. He attempted to clear his throat as he lazily trudged about the bend of the sectional and came into the kitchen, "Did you sleep at all?"
"Nah, not yet," Kepa sighed, and though this was something that made Gideon itch, he dismissed any further prodding with the way she smiled up into his eyes, set her coffee down and assessed him as he joined her in the gape of the kitchen between the stove side and the massive island she was stood at.
Gideon bashfully rubbed the back of his head and made no attempt to straighten his hair. His sleepy, innocent eyes peered to the food that was being prepared, and it was here did Kepa bite her lower lip and fully gloss her curious eyes down Gideon's figure. Delightfully disheveled, a tight red tank across his much bigger, lightly sculpted, masculine torso, thick grey sweats that cuffed his bigger ankles and a secure bandage on his upper right arm, she took a mildly trembling sip of her coffee and now forced herself to look away the second he raised his left arm a little higher in a reveal of a tuft of his softer, dark armpit hair. She set her coffee down, once more, and though she had spent literally all night long replaying every single second of their little make-out session on the beach, she curiously peered to him and hoped that this would all continue to carry on.
Wanting to fall into his arms and ease into brand new, deeper routines of good morning kisses and easy sways of tight, snuggly embraces, she knew she had to at least attempt to get the ball rolling for the day. Knowing he had just woken up and was likely trying to just get all of his faculties up and running, she sucked it up and took a few steps closer to him, so to cutely close in for the hug she desired. With slow ease, he exhaled a hard, silent groan of a yawn, raised thick eyebrows in a sleepy swing of curious eye contact and easily welcomed her figure into his bubble, and as she pushed her front into his and raveled her littler arms about his middle, he beamed a sleepy smile and so easily encompassed his much bigger embrace about her little shoulders.
"Good morning," Gideon's deeper, husky voice hushed into the top of her head, onto the vibrant, yellow cloth of her big hoodie's hood.
"Good morning," Kepa whispered in sweet return, she lulled her beautiful eyes closed and rested the side of her head into the dip of Gideon's bigger pecks, on his sternum. Her ear squished to the powerful thud of his heartbeat, and just when she thought her stomach couldn't pack anymore butterflies inside, she could feel Gideon's bigger face so sweetly push a firm, prolonged kiss into the top of her dainty head, very easily drowned in her big, billowy hoodie. She eased a smile and stifled the urge to squee, so instead she gripped her arms tighter about Gideon's thicker torso and allowed her tail to cutely curl into a floppy spiral up her spine. Gideon eased a shy, sleepy little chuckle at the sight and firmly rubbed up and down the center of her upper back as she shyly spoke, "I'm gunna miss you."
"... Oh, my trip?" Gideon prod after a moment of prickled confusion, he finally eased the two out of their snuggly embrace, though he was delighted to feel Kepa's much bigger bunny-like feet so cutely layer the tops of his bare toes, "I'll miss you too..."
The gooey squish of her big toe beans overrode the fact that the huge, scary, non-retractable claws on her toes also layered his skin, and although none of it hurt, Gideon cocked an eyebrow and peered down to her as if to surely remind himself that he, often too many times, underestimated her. Although this notion of such an incredible predator was now right within his sharp line of sight, he peered down to her adorable little face and couldn't help but beam the widest, sleepiest grin of lovestruck discovery. Her face read in dewy curiosity, huge orange eyes with fully-dilated circle pupils, they twinkled like stars. The peak of her big, delicate, fluffy ears out of her hoodie's hood, alongside the cute twiddling of her currently clawless fingers, in the gape of her massive sleeves, had Gideon feeling continuously struck down. Unable to focus on the segue of a topic she had chosen, he scoffed a shaky, shy chuckle and shook his head in warm dismissal.
"You look so adorable in this hoodie," Gideon carefully revealed; although they were now traversing this new brand of warmer, steadier romance so full of prodding, more intimate compliments and certain acts of obvious love, he still showed full signs of feeling wary to truly open up. Although cautious, it was clear he absolutely couldn't resist but open up the peaks of his wounded heart.
"Thank you," Kepa chirped with a small nod, she shyly glanced to the side and brought her big, twinkling, smiling eyes back up into Gideon's, "Mara got it for me... My ears are free!"
"I'll say," Gideon agreed with a toothy grin and a more awakened chuckle, his bigger hands so cautiously reached for her ears and gripped the tips. As gently as he could, he opened her ears to full mast and felt the dips of the inside of her ears, the squishy, gentle crevices were one of the only places on her body that had her exposed, pink skin. He raised his eyebrows in a swing of an urge that kept hitting him square in the face as he stared down into Kepa's eyes. The overflowing desire to ravel Kepa into a scoop of romance and deliver the truest, most raw form of romantic love he could possibly afford, all avenues of his own heart he had yet to truly navigate for himself, though he narrowed his eyes in smiling, cheeky disbelief and so silently promised her that there was no one else he'd like to navigate this fresh brand of love with, but her. He laughed a little as the sheer adorableness she radiated was now too much for him to handle, and the only thing he could do with the information hitting his retinas was to just be brave and honest, "You're probably the cutest person I've ever met... I really want to kiss you, right now."
"... I am enthusiastically consenting to any and all forms of compliments and or kisses you could possibly throw my way, for the next indefinite amount of time," Kepa tightly rattled, and though she pretended to be serious and act as if this was a matter in a court of law, her adorable giggling got the best of her as Gideon gently dropped her ears and sagged his arms to his sides with a shy, boyish little smirk into her eyes. Kepa cutely puckered her lips and tapped her squishy bottom lip with her pointer finger, "If you'll just sign here..."
"No, now that I can see you, I'm too nervous," Gideon staggered through a cute little laugh as he took a shy step backwards and rubbed the back of his head, though Kepa dropped her arm and gave him a defeated little smile of annoyance.
"You couldn't see me last night?" Kepa wondered, Gideon's face was now forever stuck on a plucked shade of red, an easy smile of full, honey-glowing bashfulness.
"I mean, sort of, but this was all so much easier in the dark, I'm sure I looked like a total dork, better that you couldn't see me," Gideon rushed, though Kepa flattened her ears, grinned and sharply side-eyed him.
"Gideon, you DO know that I can see in nearly pitch black. I'm a CAT," Kepa firmly gestured to her face, though with the way Gideon's face sloped in full, dreaded realization, the two hung in a moment of silence before Kepa whirled around and began to firmly head to the stove in an uproar of happy laughter that made the lighthouse sing, "Besides! You're a dork as is! Don't need twenty-twenty vision to see that. Now, come sit. You can eat while I change out your bandage."
"... Dammit, I don't know why I didn't think of that. I was caught up, that's no fair," Gideon mumbled shyly in defeat as he smiled and rubbed his chest, he could feel his hands begin to slightly shake, though him and Kepa caught in sneaky little glances into each other's eyes as she brought one of the bar stools to the same spot she had put it last night, when she was cleaning Gideon's wound over the sink. She pat the seat and stepped back over to the stove, so to begin plating Gideon some breakfast, the tip of her tail cutely wagged, the lovely, velvety strands whisked about like the fluffiest feathers. Gideon grunted as he sat, he tucked his feet to the rungs of the stool, once more, and carefully sagged his right elbow to the counter. He winced, and though he was grateful Kepa was due to now further-dressing his wounds and making sure he was okay, he could still feel the wound heavily throb with renewed pain, "I was meaning to ask you... What do I do when this all heals and the stitches are just... There?"
"Well, when you get back from your trip, I can help you get the stitches out, it'll probably be fine by then," Kepa shrugged as she faced the stove and carefully plated Gideon a very hearty amount of bacon and eggs, as well as a buttered slice of toast. As she swung to the island, set Gideon's food close enough to him to eat though enough out of the way so Kepa could properly work, she lovingly rubbed his left shoulder and pressed to the fridge, "Truly, Gideon, I won't be offended if you get Lash to reverse it. What do you want to drink?"
"Water, please," Gideon's voice croaked, he looked down to the delicious, steamy breakfast Kepa had so cutely plated for him. Perfectly sectioned, seasoned and donned with a big fork, for his bigger hands, he softened and tossed his grateful gaze to the back of Kepa's head as she began to pour him a frosty glass of ice water from the pitcher in the fridge. Gideon felt his heart squeeze, he long-blinked and could hardly bear any of it. Everything she did was rooted in easy care, and with such, she came back to island as he ushered her humble, soft words, "Thank you, for... Everything. Absolutely everything."
"'Course, Gid, I'm in your corner," Kepa stated in a kind tone, as a true matter of fact, as if it was a total given. She bobbed a nod and began to pull out the few oils, salves and bandages she had sourced last night. She rolled up the sleeves of her baggy hoodie, ran warm faucet water and began to unpack a new bandage and patch of gauze, she glanced her smiling gaze into his patient eyes, he sat still and watched her with intent, "It's the least I could do. Here, rest your elbow here."
"Okay," Gideon stated in soft compliance and moved his right elbow a little bit close to her, on the counter, so she had easier access to his upper arm. He grimaced a little as she carefully tugged at the bandage, unravelled it and revealed his stitched wound. They both eagerly peered to it; although red around the blatant, long, clean cut, the swelling had drastically gone down. It still looked angry, though was in a much better place than last night. Gideon raised his eyebrows in delight and scoffed, "Oh, wow. I was certain my arm would look like it was about to fall off. How is there such minimal bruising?"
"I don't know, Gid, I've literally never done any of this before," Kepa loudly cheesed in full sarcasm as she clumsily grappled for the little glass bottles of salves nearby, they tinkered to the counter as she accidentally knocked them over, though Gideon erupted into hard laughter as she perked her ears high and now swat at one that was getting away from her, like a house cat chaotically chasing a laser pointer. Her long tail firmly flailed behind her as she finally grappled for it and stood to correction. Her eyes were big with surprise, she finally softened as Gideon's incredibly contagious laughter carried, "... That was karma for being snarky with you."
"INSTANT karma," Gideon grinned, he sat hunched in on himself in a lazy way, his broad chest shook as he continued to laugh.
"I should know better," Kepa whispered with a sigh as she tidied her salves once more and leaned a little deeper into Gideon's bubble, so to properly assess his wound.
Gideon raised his eyebrows and sweetly peered down to her face; although they were eye level due to his sat posture and the sag she had to the flat of her feet, she was lightly bent down into Gideon's gravity to see his inner, upper arm. Gideon's phone, in his sweat's, tinkered a small noise to notify him that he had received a text message, though neither being reacted outside of the involuntary twitch Kepa's big ears made to said new noise. Her intent, big, sparkly eyes honed tight to his wound, and as she mumbled a small little notion to herself in assessment, Gideon's warm, closed-mouth little smile broadened in a rise of cheeky tease. He just barely began to tuck his upper arm a bit tighter to his body so that it was a little bit more difficult for Kepa to see. She tsked a noise of mild dismay and subconsciously took a step deeper into Gideon's gravity, into the lazy spread of his legs and bent knees as the balls of his feet were sagged to the rungs of the barstool he was on. Kepa tightly flattened her ears and firmly tried to get a better look, though Gideon just barely tucked his arm a bit tighter to his body, once more, and nearly concealed it altogether, though just before Kepa could protest, her ears sagged out of the tight pin she had them in and drew her eyes up Gideon's center and square into his golden stare, the hover of their faces being mere inches, the shadow his head casted down onto her face made her pupils dilate in the draw of almost delighted, ominous, romantic discovery.
The two held in suspended curiosity, and though this was Gideon's way of silently telling Kepa that he was mustering the bravery he needed to do just what he said he wanted to do, to kiss her and make clear her adorable soul was desired, they both softened as Gideon tried to swallow as silently as he could. Kepa finally brought herself to a slow stand, though she remained tight into Gideon's bubble, her little chest heaved with silent breathing of rising, nervous realization, her adorable nose began to just barely wrinkle in assessments of covered bases, her lovely lashes fluttered in a long-blink of blatant anticipation, all antics that had Gideon's heart squeezing harder and harder. He just barely scoffed a shy, silent little laugh out into their bubble and finally felt brave, and in the swing, he reached his bigger left hand to her right cheek and allowed his fingers to slide to the side of her jawline. In the slow pull, he, too, leaned in, and like molasses, the two ever so carefully closed in. In the gape of her big hoodie, Kepa held her breath as the shadow of said hood casted upon Gideon's nose and brow, for good, as he made himself at home in her gravity.
In a very careful press, the two just barely eased into a pucker of slow, tender warmth with the final, slight tilt of their heads and seal of their hazy gazes. With Gideon's face and a portion of his head cutely sunk into the huge gape of her hood, Kepa's beautiful ears drooped in a swing of allowing all of her senses to cease for a moment to allow Gideon's powerful, sunny love to overwhelm her. She nervously held her little hands to her chest with the feel of Gideon's face on hers, the gentle press of his warm lips to hers, alongside the prickle of his facial hair, she could feel her tail daintily curl in a sway of now not really knowing what to do with any of her extremities. However desperately did she want to yank the collar of Gideon's shirt and hopefully be thrown into a passionate fit of fast-paced making out, she hovered in his stillness and was hyper-aware of the sentiment behind all of this, the true meaning of just why Gideon was moving with such slow caution. Her heart wildly fluttered the second his much bigger thumb so carefully began to stroke the soft skin on her right cheek, just under her eye. The two just barely eased out of the simple, long-press of a pucker delivered, innocent love at its finest, the two fluttered their eyes just barely and held perfectly still.
"What kind of a spell did you put on me?" Gideon's deep voice so quietly ushered into her face, the sheer control of his tone, which had the potential to very loudly boom, was now held in the tight confines of the fabric that loosely hugged her head, fabric he was cutely budged into; Kepa immediately brightened with a wide smile as she lulled her eyes closed, the feeling of his hot breath on her mouth, amidst a knowing chuckle, had her voice trembling from her figure.
"I may have divine powers of my own, but I know better than to mess with free will. The ramifications aren't pretty," Kepa whispered shyly in return as Gideon's thumb stroked her jawline with a bit more of a push, he long-blinked in the soft, narrow of his whispering, golden-brown eyes, he glossed said gaze about her beautiful face and assessed the true gem he had miraculously landed. Kepa dared to glance up into his hypnotizing eyes as he remained tightly hovered a mere inch from her face in the proverbial promise of more kisses to come her way, "You just so happen to be bewitched all on your own, my dude. You told on yourself."
"So be it," Gideon's deep voice cutely and politely huffed onto her awaiting smile, he gingerly readjusted his grip on her jaw and just barely squeezed her face into his for a return of more slow puckers of shaky exhales they tried to control. The sink of each other's lips into a proper slow kiss, the easier inhales their noses took in the squish into each other's cheeks, the equal give and take of gentle nudges and puckered inquiry, their lips silently smacked as they gingerly unstuck, though within the sanctity of only an inch of a given gap. Gideon shyly continued on her mouth as she exhaled an audible, trembling breath on his wet lips, "Thank you for taking care of me."
"You've done the same for me," Kepa returned cutely, this time she was the one to follow in Gideon's gentle tug, on the underside of her jaw.
She eagerly pushed yet another warm kiss into his plump lips, they sagged in another splay of exhales on each other's cheeks in the shadow of Kepa's big hoodie. Gideon's phone daintily tinkered yet another message notification, to which they paid no mind. Kepa finally ushered a raspy giggle inside of their kiss as Gideon's thumb eventually sagged into the bigger gape of her right, lovely cat ear. She squeezed her shoulders to her neck in a scrunch of giggly delight at the tickling sensation as the two unstuck their lips with another silent, warm smack. Gideon grinned a youthful smile and remained tightly hovered to her as he removed his hand and slowly planned to go elsewhere with it. In the movement of securing his much bigger hand to the dip of her small waist, and into the nook of her lower back, he just barely tugged her a bit deeper into his gravity. Upon doing so, Kepa finally had had enough of not letting her hands wander, and with this, she sagged the squishy beans on her palms into Gideon's broad, strong chest as the two revisited in a bit deeper of a snug of each other's lips. In silent gasps they took upon the easy recede of their smiles, Kepa fluttered her eyes as Gideon's right hand now warmly rested over the whole of both of her tiny hands and wrists, over his powerful chest.
"I can't tell if I'm doing any of this right," Gideon whispered on her mouth as their parted eyes fluttered in the draw of this sweetly innocent, yet slippery slope into intoxicating sinful acts, his bigger hand gripped the small of her back with a tiny bit more fervor as she smiled in a gape of preparing to hotly whisper on his mouth.
"Would it make you feel better if I told you that not only are you doing it right, you're gunna have to be the one to pry me off of you?" Kepa shakily rushed as the dainty flaps of the butterflies, in her stomach, was now turning into a violent storm of tumultuous desire, though just as the two titled their heads and firmly revisited each other's gaping kiss with the promise of turning up the heat, Gideon's phone suddenly began to ring; both beings jolted clear out of the moment, and though they remained in the beginning stages of their raveled limbs, they steadily panted through their noses and peered furrowed, parted, annoyed gazes tight into each other's faces. Kepa huffed a trembling notion on Gideon's mouth as they hovered in the methodical tune Gideon's phone confidently splayed into the room, "Nevermind, whoever is calling you will do it for you."
"I was having a good time ignoring literally everyone in this whole universe, but you. I-I would normally ignore this, but, after last night..." Gideon muttered as both beings regrettably sagged out of their rising, feverous stirring, and as Gideon pulled his phone from the gape of his sweat's pocket, he looked down at his illuminated screen and raised his eyebrows in a prickle of mild fear, "Oh, it's... It's Lash."
"Oh, good," Kepa nodded, she huffed a shaky breath through her mouth and resisted the urge to pant, so to cool off, though she raised her eyebrows in another swing of romantic surprise the second Gideon rested his right elbow back to the counter, answered the phone with said hand and securely tucked his left arm about Kepa's body so to assure her that she was desired in his arms, no matter what interruption.
"Hey," Gideon's deep voice cooly cooed into the answered call as he held the phone to his ear, though Kepa did everything in her power to not swoon as she sagged into Gideon's warm, muscular chest.
The sides of his pecks peaked out of his tighter tank with the heavier, silent breathing he now tried to get ahold of, soft little tufts of chest hair did what it could to crawl up his clavicles, Kepa sighed in trembling, lovestruck delight and cutely nuzzled the bridge of her nose into the underside of Gideon's jaw as Lash carried on in Gideon's ear.
"Hey, dude. I see you're at the lighthouse, with Kepa, you stay there last night?" Lash inquired, and though Lash was prodding, Gideon lulled his eyes closed in a mix of sweet, stirring delight and cold dread, due to the altercation he had gotten into last night.
"Yeah, I stayed here," Gideon mumbled, he kept his eyes closed and did what he could not to shyly chuckle with the way Kepa was now slowly and fervently nuzzling the underside of Gideon's strong jaw.
"...Are you safe? You didn't game over, and you haven't been reset," Lash muttered in dark knowing; it was clear that he was cued in to the fight Gideon and Callum had gotten into.
"Yeah, none of that, Kepa's been taking care of me, I'm alright," Gideon said, and although he was confident, he was now well aware Lash was due to playing guard dog, alongside Kepa's fervor.
"Alright, well... I'd like to have a chat with you," Lash stated in soft authority, Gideon felt his pupils tighten, "Is it okay if I teleport to you two in the next five minutes or so?"
"... Am I in trouble?" Gideon grumbled sorrowfully, to which Kepa just barely pulled her head away and peered into Gideon's eyes in a show of protective confusion. Gideon shook his head and gave her a softened look, as if to silently tell her not to worry, "Because I don't want to hear it... I understand I may have fucked up, in some ways, but I'm tired of being scolded."
"No, you're not in trouble, Gideon, there's this little thing called, uh, hmm... What was the phrase again?" Lash staggered in full sarcasm as Gideon held still and let Lash carry on, "Oh, yeah, that's right. I love you? I think that's the one. I want to check up on you and get your side. I only have Tessa's side of it."
"Yeah, I'll... I'll tell you," Gideon mumbled in gentle regret, though Lash's sweet words coat his heart with renewal, and with the overflow, Gideon peered down to Kepa in a swing of wanting to offload it all. She flinched as he sweetly cupped the back of her head and splayed a few firm, loving smooches into the flat of her adorable cat nose. She scrunched, flattened her ears and beamed a wide grin of full fangs as Gideon warmly puckered a few more obnoxious smooches to her irresistibly adorable, soft little nose. He did this quietly so Lash wouldn't hear the nonsense, though Kepa silently erupted into giggling she tried to stifle as Gideon caught a breath and lifted away from Kepa a little, so to carry on to Lash, "There's not much of a story, I'm not a hero, or anything."
"Neither is Callum, I'm just covering my bases," Lash started, it was obvious he had crowned a devious smile, the feedback on his end of the phone made clear that he was walking in the city, "Anyways, I'm gunna stop by for maybe twenty minutes to hear you out before I head off to find my favorite guy Callum Reese and give him a cute little pep talk. I'll be by in five, okay?"
Gideon raised his eyebrows in frozen surprise and felt fear strike his heart, for Callum's sake. He scoffed a shaky chuckle and relished in the way Kepa sagged into his chest and cutely continued to slowly nuzzle her nose into the bend of Gideon's jaw, just under his ear.
"Y-You..." Gideon staggered, Lash huffed a sarcastic, devious laugh and cooed Gideon a conclusion.
"Don't act all surprised, Mr. Fox, I'll be by soon," Lash stabbed through the sound of his grinning, and as both boys uttered quick, conclusory notions, Lash hung up, leaving Gideon now wondering just what kind of drama this fresh, closed-Arcade Sunday would bring.
