Having finished explaining bonding, I'm waiting for further questions. Fortunately, Andros has a fairly good grasp of the concept due to telepathy in his own species and a familiarity with Eltarians in general and he helps clarify things for the former Red Ranger.

Jason locks eyes with me. "You said that you had discovered more since you wrote to Hayley about what happened to Tommy. What exactly did you find out?"

Oh you think you want to know, do you? "You had better be sure you really want to know. Given the choice, I'd rather not tell you at all. As I said before, there were things done that I wouldn't have done at my most evil. I'm sure you remember how bad I was then."

He nods. "Tell me."

I take a deep breath and speak quickly so that I can get it all out. "The short version is that he - well almost all the patients really - were experimented on, abused, beaten, half drowned, partly suffocated, molested and he came dangerously close to being raped. Some of the patients actually were raped and if I hadn't gotten there when I did, he would have been too."

The two men in front of me are silent and pale. I can see a fire light in the former Red Ranger's eyes and I watch it grow as he thinks over what I said. Finally, he speaks. "I- there- nothing-"

I nod. Softly I say, "There really aren't words, are there? At least I was able to punish some of the perpetrators when I went for him."

Jason interrupts me grimly. "Based on my connections, I was able to accelerate and elevate the legal process. Not only was the doctor allowing all that, the code that you sent to Hayley to break was stolen from our government by him. My superiors have stepped in and there are additional charges being filed as well. It's not as satisfying, but it'll have to do."

"Does it?" I can't help but ask. After all, I do have the ability to make him disappear… I may not be evil any more, per se, but that doesn't mean that I don't have my moments. I can tell that might not have been the right thing to say by the looks on the faces of the Rangers before me. "What?"

Jason suddenly looks thoughtful. "Actually, if we wait for the trial to be over, that might work. Unfortunately, it's hard to say how long it will take."

Okay, not what I was expecting. I allow a feral grin to spread across my face. Oh, I might actually like the Red Ranger all grown up. Now that his definitions of good and evil have shifted slightly, he understands that 'justice' isn't always enough. Still, I need to know something first. "So what are you planning to do now?"

Jason shrugs. "I would like to talk to Tommy some more before I know what I think. If what he says is true, you have done a good job with him in the time you've had him."

I incline my head in acknowledgement. "Perhaps you would like to stay for a meal and speak with him."

The two exchange looks before accepting my invitation. This'll be interesting to say the least.
