Miho Nishizumi, a 21 years old girl was a great senshado athlete that many regarded as one of the best athlete in Japan, if not the world. Because of the skill she and her crew display as a tanker made it easy for them to get into any university they wanted.

During her high school days, she commanded a Panzer 4 and was the overall commander of Oarai senshado club. Oarai never had a senshado club in over twenty years, yet under Miho's command, Oarai manage to win the national tournament even though they were always outnumbered and most of their tank are outdated compare to their adversary.

Miho though can't do all that without the help of her crew who always there for her when she needed it. Her loader, Yukari Akiyama was a tank nuts who knew everything about tank, maybe more than Miho, she is enthusiastic about anything that is related to tank and always energetic. Her driver, Mako Reizei was the opposite of Yukari, she is always sleepy and always late for school, if it wasn't for her good grade she would have to repeat a year. and last but not least are her gunner and radio operator, Hana Isuzu and Saori Takebe, both of them are the first friend Miho's made in Oarai, Hana was polite, calm and soft spoken while Saori is kinda loud and always rambling that she wanted a boyfriend.

Miho was very close with her crew, she didn't even saw them as her best friend anymore but more like sisters from different mother. As such it was natural for all of them to attend the same universirty.

The five of them attend the Okinawan prefectual university in Naha, Okinawa. There they would join the university senshado team and won more competetion just like the time when they were in high school.

Unfortunatelly for Miho and her crew their skill are not only a blessing but it was also a cursed.

When Japan enter the so called 'Great eastern war' in October 15th of last year, the Japanese goverment enacted the consciption act where Male from the age of 18 to 30 and female age 20 to 28 will be drafted into the JSDF for a 18 month of service. This act is to make sure that Japan stay safe from an invasion, while those who join the JSDF volunterally will be sent to either southeast asia or Korea, the drafties will mostly stay in the home island to defend it from any invaders.

But Miho and her crew are the exception. Even though they were drafted, they are still sent to fight in southeast asia because of their skill in senshado.

Right now Miho was looking outside the window of a C-130 cargo plane where she, her crew and dozens of other soldiers who share the same fate as her reside. It was late afternoon, the sky is still bright but not for long as the sun will be set in a few hours. The cargo plane was heading for Bangkok where she most likely spend a few weeks in a military base before being sent to the frontline, whether she'll saw combat though is another story as the southeastern front have been on a stalemate since November, excluding the daily firefight exchange by patrol units, both side didn't start any major move but that doesn't mean those in the frontline can stay relax as both side remain vigilant of their enemy.

Alot of thought cross her mind, as she never thought she would be fighting a war in her lifetime. She also feel nervous and dread, but mostly she was afraid, she was afraid of dying, who wouldn't, even though she have alot of expirience as a tank commander in senshado, a role she will have in the JSDF.

But the problem was senshado was just a sport, yes even though it used a literal war machine that could made the bravest men sh*t themself, but in senshado the only thing Miho would worry about is the enemy tanks like what kinda tank the enemy would be, how thick is the armour, the guns caliber etc. The point is in senshado the only thing you would worried about is tanks.

However in a war there are more that you need to took into consideration. In a war tank couldn't just drive around without infantry support, that would be suicide and plus tank are an easy target for airstrike, something that senshado athlete didn't need to worried about.

But something made her more afraid than death itself, she was afraid that she might lose her friend. Growing up in a household that practice senshado since it's founding, Miho often hear stories about soldiers coming home from war with great trauma because they saw their friends die in combat. Miho didn't want to lose her friends and her only hope was that her and all of her friend survive the war when their 18 month service was over.

suddenly a voice coming from the plane intercom, breaking her out of her thought. "Attention to all passenger. in 10 minutes we will land in Bangkok international airport, Please get ready."

At this most of the passengers on board started to get ready by waking up their friend and readied their equipment, well most of them. "Com'on Mako, wake up, were almost there." the sound of Saori, desperate to wake up her sleepy friend.

"we still have ten minutes left, now shut up and let me sleep in peace." Mako said in her usual sleepy tone.

Hearing this made Saori huffed in annoyance. "Mako, you can't stay like this, were not in high school anymore dammit."

Mako finally wake up, albeit begrudgingly while Hana and Miho watch the scene unfold in amusement.

(Bangkok international airport:Thailand)

After ten minutes the C-130 landed on one of the airport tarmac runway. As this is a cargo plane, the landing didn't feel as smooth as it was on a commercial plane, the passengers inside hold on to anything for dear life. After a few minutes the plane finally stop and the back ramp drop open.

"Alright Tiger platoon listen up!" yelled out Lieutenant Hiroshi Kanagawa, their platoon commander, a man in his late twenties with a tall stature and black hair. "I hope all of you are not tired yet because we still need to pick up our tank before heading for our barrack, is that Understood?!" he yelled out in a commanding voice.

"SIR YES SIR"

"Good, there are a few trucks outside waiting for us, we will hitch a ride with them to runway three where we will grab our tank before reporting to barracks. Now move out!"

At this the soldiers grab their duffle bag and move out just like they were ordered to, none of them are carrying a rifle as they're all tankers and most of them only carry a sidearm for personal protection, some of them did carry a Sub-machine gun but that was it for weaponry.

The soldiers began exiting the plane and headed for the trucks, Miho an her friends included. As watch his subordinate jog toward the trucks, one girl was left behind, instead of jogging like her comrades, she was walking lazily with her eyes half closed and quite frankly he was not very surprise.

"Corporal Reizei!"

Hearing her name being called made Mako eyes shot open and instinctively rush to her commading officer and snap a salute. "YES SIR!"

"Corporal Reizei, why are you walking like you're going to bed?"

"Sir, because i was tired sir!" Mako replied.

"Because you were tired huh, well guess what corporal, everyone is tired!" kanagawa said in a tone that made Mako wince. "The pilots that flew us from Japan probably only had a two hour sleep each day, and those who's on the frontline haven't sleep peacefully for months, so count yourself lucky as you still have a warm bed to sleep on atleast until we were sent to the front line. Do you understand coporal?"

"SIR YES SIR"

"Good now huried up and catch up with your teammate, the war won't stop just to wait for you corporal!"

Not wanting to irritate her superior further, Mako just give him a quick salute before sprinting towards the truck with her energy semmingly restored after being scolded by her superior. She quickly jump into one of the truck and sit down next to Saori.

As Mako take her seat, Saori let out a sigh. "Lieutenant scolded you again huh?" She ask rhetorically.

Mako just groan. "What else is new." she said sarcasstically.

A sigh left Saori's mouth. "i told you, you can't continue being sleepy all the time like when we're in high school, you're a soldier now, so act like one." She scolded her friend a little.

"yeah, yeah i understand."

"And why are you still like this though? when we were at bootcamp you were always wide awake." Saori ask in bewielderment.

"Eh, i don't know, probably because if i overslept i get no sleep at all." Mako said in her usual monotone voice but in reallity the memory of not getting any sleep made her shiver.

Their conversation was cut short when the truck they were on start it's engine and start to drive towards runway 3 to retrive their tanks. They were heading to the airport before heading towards the newly build terminal three that was build specifiacally for transporting military equipment and vehicle.

The truck they were riding on was filled with the tankers of 2nd tank platoon, also known as the Tiger platoon. A tank platoon consist of four to five tanks each, so that means there is four to five tank commanders per platoon. the first one was Miho herself, she held the rank of 1st sargeant and was second in command on her platoon. the second was a man in his early twenties by the name of Jiro Sato, he was of a average height, slightly taller than Miho, he had a black hair and eyes and he held the rank of 1st sergeant. the third one was Riko Matsumoto also known as Erwin, she was Miho's teammate in Oarai senshado team. The fourth one was Kaito Suzuki, he held the rank of 1st sergeant and unlike his comrades, he's already a tanker in the JSDF before Japan enter the war. Kaito was in his early twenties and had a blue eyes and a black hair. And the last one was their platoon commander, Lt. Hiroshi Kanagawa. He was a tank commander in the JSDF for over a decade now. aside from his normal job as a tank commander, he sometimes work for the Japanese Senshado federation as a referee overseeing senshado match.

As they continue to drive through the airport parking lot and heading for the exit, they were greeted by the of thousand of soldiers from different nation that just arrived in Bangkok, they all are with their units or trying to find their post. A loud noise coming from the sky, they all look up to see that dozens of fighter jets fly over the airport, thankfully it was theirs and looks like they've just returning from air raids.

"So, anybody hear have been to Thailand before?" Jiro ask to no one in particular.

Nobody raise their hand except for Kaito. "Kaito, you've been here before?"

The Man nodded. "yup, once when i was maybe 14, way back in 2017"

"Care to share your expirience so the rest of us knew what to expect here?"

This made Kaito sigh. "Jiro, we're here as a soldier not a tourist." she stressed to him.

The man raise his hand in defence. "well i know that obviously, but were not going to stay in the city for a few weeks, so we would like to know what to expect from this country normal part and not the war part if you know what i mean." he clarafied.

"You guys wanna know trivia fact about Thailand?" he ask her comrades who all said yes.

"Well what do you guys want to know?" he ask them.

"Um, what is the typical food around here?" Hana ask.

"Oh, if you're asking about food, then you're gonna like it here. food here is very cheap compare to Japan and they have alot of them, for example Pad thai, Khao pad, Tom yum and my favorite the Thai green curry." Kaito inform with glee, with his earlier seriousness completly gone.

This piqued Hana curiousity. "What is Tom yum taste like?" she ask.

"It is very spicy, if you like spicy food then you're gonna love tom yum." Kaito exclaim.

"Hey Kaito, where's the 'Jiro we're here as a soldiers, not a tourist' attidute earlier? because now you're the one who acted like a tourist" Jiro tease.

Kaito give him an annoyed look. "Shut up Jiro." he muttered.

Jiro snort at this. "yeah fine, but i have my own question though. Is it true that Bangkok is full of traps?" he ask with full curiosity.

His qusetion made Kaito groan in frustration. "yes, the rumor of Bangkok being filled with traps is absoloutely true. My family met a handfull of them during our vacation here. One of them even flirt with my dad." he exclaim in disgust.

His fellow tankers gasp at the story but was soon followed with hysterical laughter as they were imagining the scenario on their head.

"You're serious?" Jiro manage to ask between laughter.

"Yeah i am, luckily my mom come to his rescue just in time before they manage to grope my dad any further, and as you can imagine my dad is pretty traumatize about the whole thing."

"yeah i can imagine." Jiro said with a chuckle.

"what kind of traps are you guys talking about?" Miho suddenly ask out of the blue.

As soon as Miho said this, the laughter stop and all of her comrades give her the 'are you serious' look. They all respected Miho as a leader, but they still can't believe how naive she was when it comes to that sort of things.

"oh come on Nishizumi, you can't be that dense."

"Holy shit she doesn't know."

"my god, nowdays even a ten year old knows that."

"Ok now i'm curious, tell me!" Miho didn't understand why her comrades made such a big deal about some traps, and what made her more curious is that both Saori and Hana blush in embaressment while Mako were chuckling slightly with the rest of them.

"You seriously don't know?" ask Jiro.

Miho was getting frustrated that her comrades just teased her about it because she ask it like a little kids asking their parents how babies are made.

"Sato!" Miho said in a low and serious tone that made her fellow tanker flinch. "tell me about it!" she ordered.

"yes ma'am" Jiro said in a defeated tone. he then took a deep breath and explain it to her outloud.

"oh" Miho said, her cheeks are bright red with embaressment and her earlier seriousness gone. "why would i want to know that?" she ask to herself.

Jiro shrugged "Hey you ask for it." he said.

"and i'm regreting it already." she muttered. It's the risk of having a male teammate, alot of dirty jokes and obnoxious behaviour, something that she still getting used to. Miho always attended all girls school her entire life, so her interaction with boys her age was really limited and it was also weird to have men operate tanks alongside women.

Even though the profession of tankers are occupied by both genders, they're rarely interact with each other as Male tend to became a tanker in the military. The life of a female tanker are very exciting to say the least. Female tanker are usually young women, some are even as young as 10 when they first bacame a tanker and they regularly face each other in a senshado match using old world war era tank. Their life are often glorafied as glamorous and often advertised that it will make it easier for men to fall for them.

On the other hand male tanker are soldiers in the military. Unlike their female counterpart, being a tanker in the military is very hard, because one must pass armored/calvalry/tank school(depending on the country) to became a tanker in the first place. Their life is considered more boring compare to female tanker who were mostly senshado athlete who will have fun blasting each other in the field without a risk of dying. Though some country military start to implement a senshado style match between different tank unit to honed their skill in combat. But this was rare because the cost of operation for modern tank is very high compare to the one use in senshado. So the life of a male tanker can be summerize with 90% doing boring stuff, 5% wishing that you're doing the boring stuff and 5% of doing thing that are exciting.

There are female tankers in the military, though they are rare as most female tanker opted to became a professional senshado athlete while there are none male senshado athlete as senshado is a woman only sport. Because of this, tankers in the military developed a sarcastic saying that says 'woman will have fun and men will have PTSD' reffering to the male tankers job of going to war to defend their country.

"Hey guys! were here." Erwin yelled out.

The trucks convoy soon enter the front gate of terminal 3 of Bangkok international airport. as their trucks drove on a road right next to the side of the runway, they saw alot of APC's, AFV's, IFV's, FSV's tanks from different countries being off loaded from cargo plane while some of them are already park on the side of the runway.

"Wow, there are more tanks here than i expected." said Hana.

"I know right, i don't think i've seen this many tanks in one place before." Saori remarked as she gaze upon the hundreds of tanks that was being off loaded and park around the runway. But in the middle of her gazing, something caught her attention. "hey guys, is that a Challenger 2 over there?" she pointed her finger at the tanks.

Miho took a look at the tank Saori's pointing and nodded. "yeah your right that is a Challenger 2." She confirm.

"huh, i didn't know the British had join the coalition." remarked Saori.

Mako shrugged "well it kinda make sense why the british join the war. Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Australia and New Zealand are all commenwelth nation and are former territory of the British empire. And The British often involve itself in the Commenwealth member's conflict and plus it's closest ally are also in this war, so it made sense why they would join us to fight the Chinese." Mako explained.

"yeah, that make sense." said Saori.

after a few minutes of driving, they drove through a garage that could house dozens of vehicle at a time. Their trucks then stop in front one of the garage.

Rhino company dismount their trucks and head for one of the garage that was guarded by Thai Soldiers. One of the soldiers approach and salute him, which the captain return "Are you guys from Rhino company of the 1st tank battalion?" the Thai soldiers ask in english.

nodded. "yes we are" he answered in english.

The Thai soldiers nodded and turn back to his comrades, gesturing them to open the garage door. "all five of your tanks are inside sir, all of them are in good condition" the soldiers inform him.

"Thank you for the help sergeant. we'll take it from here." said. He saluted the sergeant, which the man return and turn to his Company. "Alright Rhino company, get inside and get your tank!" he ordered.

"SIR YES SIR."

The tankers of Tiger platoon enter the garage where their tanks have reside since arriving in Thailand after being ship off from Japan.

Miho and her crew walk towards their tank near the back of the garage. Their tank was a Type 74 main battle tanks, a second generation main battle tanks that have been in service with the JSDF since 1975. Even though the tank are quite old with it still using a 105mm main gun instead of 120mm one like most MBT's use today and doesn't have a composite armor. The type 74 is still a very capable tank with alot of them were sent to southeast asia due to it's light weight of 38 tons, which is perfect for a jungle enviroment such as southeast asia where a tank such as the Type 90 or the Type 10 would've struggled due to their heavy weight of 50 and 44 tons respectively.

The Type 74 was armed with a L7A3 105mm rifled cannon as it's main gun, a type 74 coaxial machine gun, a sumitomo type 62 general purpose machine gun on the loader's hatch and a M2 Browning heavy machine gun on the commander hatch. This particular type 74 was given the name Ankou by it's crew. it's name were written on the cannon and a pink anglerfish was painted on the left side of the turrent. All of the Type 74 armor have been upgraded with Explosive reactive armour and a hardkill protection system to increase it's crew safety.

"com'on girls, let's not keep her waiting shall we." Miho ordered her crew.

The four of them then climb onto their tank and settled on their position. "it is still weird for me to be in Yukari position." Saori commented from the loader seat.

Miho let out a sad sigh. "yeah, sure is weird not having her with us huh." the ankou crew grew silent at Miho's comment as they remembered that one of them is not with them anymore.

Yukari Akiyama was regarded by her friends and teammate as the best tanker in Oarai right behind Miho. During Oarai first mock battle Yukari took the role as a gunner and manage to knock out three enemies tanks without any prior expirience, though she later took the role as a loader on their Panzer 4 when Hana requested to be the gunner instead. even then she sometimes took the gunner role when Hana couldn't make it to training, she did this often enough that Miho made Yukari the back up gunner to replace Hana when needed to.

She is also very knowledgeable about tanks, as she was obsessed with them since childhood, a such during matches Yukari often the one who identified unknown tanks. And she is also a pretty good tank commander, during one match she became a teporary comander of Oarai Char bis when it's commander were absent. She also often did an infiltration mission onto their opponent school to see what tanks they were using before a match by going undercover using the school uniform she was infiltrating.

When she and her friends were drafted into the JSDF, they all were sent to basic training. There Yukari excelled at navigation, Physical training, marskmanship, range finding and many other, often find herself the at the top of her class.

Because of her excellent performence in basic training and her exploit while in Oarai, Yukari commanding officer order her to join the ranger school.

When Yukari was made aware of this, she was conflicted. For one, joining the Ranger was a huge honor and she will likely invole in a mission behind enemy line, doing reconnaissance and sabotage that would determined an outcome of a battle. But on the other hand, it would mean that she won't be fighting along side her friends, which made her sad. The five of them have been through alot together. Now that they were soldiers, they will go through the biggest event in their life and Yukari won't be there with them.

But after alot of encouraging words from her parents and friends, she finally accepted her fate and join the Ranger. Before she leave to join the Ranger, her friends and family threw a farewell party for her as she won't see any of them in along time.

Back to the present.

Miho and the Ankou crew was silent for a while, thinking about the good time they had with Yukari, her cheerful smile and positive behaviour made them miss her dearly.

"You know, Yukari is a tough girl, i'm sure she'll be fine. we'll be hearing from her in no time." Hana spoke up.

Her words seem to lighten the mood inside the tank. "You're right, Yukari is the strongest person we ever knew, i'm sure she will be okay." Miho said. "Now let's put our nostalgia aside and complete our check up." She ordered.

Ankou team then spend to next few minutes checking their tank for any damage or error on it's equipment.

"Okay status report!" Miho exclaim.

"Gun breach is clean, HEAT, HESH and Sabot round are stock to full capacity." Saori reported.

"a little dust on the gunner sight and trigger are a bit stiff but that is to be expected. Coaxial and main cannon are ready to go" Hana reported.

"Steering wheel and the pedals are good, nothing major to be concern about." Said Mako.

Miho nodded in approval. "Okay then, so all good?"

"HAI" her crew responded.

As if que, voice was heard on the radio. "Tiger platoon, status report!"

"This is Tiger 0-2, all system is good." Miho reported.

"Tiger 0-3 here, all system are functional and ready to role." Erwin voice comes next.

"Tiger 0-4 here and we're ready to kick ass sir." Jiro said enthusiastically.

"Tiger 0-5 ready to go." Kaito said casually.

Then one by one every tank commander in Tiger platoon gave their status report to the Lieutenant.

"Okay, Our next destination is Rama IX military base in the outskirt of Bangkok. That place will be our new home for the next couple of weeks, once we get there you guys can take a rest from the long journey. alright now all tanks start your engine." ordered.

The garage soon filled with the sound of Mitsubishi's 10ZF Model 21 engine, soon all the tanks leave for their destination, leaving the once pack garage empty for a while.

(Seoul: South Korea)

Seon medical center was a normal hospital that was located in the south side of Seoul. The hospital have over six hundred rooms that could house over 1,600 patients at a time. Even though Seon medical center could house a large capacity of patients, it often found itself at full capacity, especially if there's a pandemic happening.

But today, to say that the hospital was full was a massive understatement. The hospital was abseloutely packed with patients after the South korean military converted it as a field hospital, the original capacity of 1,600 was now overflowing with over 12,000 patients being treated there. Most of this patients were soldiers that have been wounded after defending Soeul from being overrun by the North Korean.

Because of the overflowing capacity, some of the patients were left in the hospital hallway because there is no room left and the unlucky one was left in the hospital parking lot. The hospital staff was very overwhelmed at the large number of patients, even though they were getting aid from medical personel from the military and volenteer group, they are still overwhelem. As such alot of the wounded soldiers goes untreated and succumb to their wound.

Maho Nishizumi groggily wake up from her deep slumber, she try to get up but a slight jolt of pain hit her head that made her hissed in pain and she was force to lay back down. After a few moments of laying down, she decide to get up again, this time more slowly and thankfully she didn't feel any pain in her head like last time.

She took a look of her surrounding, she was sitting on her hospital bed and arround her were hundreds of other wounded soldiers, mostly South korean and Americans with a few Japanese scattered troughout the hospital, she's being one of them. Her bed was place at the hospital basement parking lot, it was pretty humid down there but bearable thanks to the multiple water fan that was place to keep the place cool.

Maho touch her head, remembering how she got here.

Unlike in southeast asia where the war have come to a stalemate, the war in korea peninsula was always hot with the battle for Seoul still raging since November with both side struggling to took control of the Han river.

Maho, like her sister was drafted into the JSDF after Japan enter the great eastern war. Even though Maho was attending university in Germany when she receive her draft notice, she took a flight home a reported to the JSDF headquaters immidietly to start her military service without a second thought. Even though she's only a a year from graduation and quite frankly enjoy her time in germany, she love her country more than anything and the news of North korean missiles strike on Japanese soil made her blood boil, especially that one of those target was her home town of Kumamoto which made her even more determined to destroy the North korean.

She graduated bootcamp in early Febuary and was assign to Western Army Tank Unit, she didn't went trough tank school because of her expirience in senshado. She only get a crash course from the other tanker of how her tank works which she grasp pretty quickly.

After that she was deploy to south korean where most of her units were already. She didn't need a long time before she saw her first real life combat. In Febuary 28th, her unit, a platoon of Type 10 MBT was task to accompany the 40th Infantry regiment to push back a battalion of north korean that manage to cross the Han river.

The ensuing fire fight lasted for over 2 hours. In the end the Japanese manage to retake the mall after being reinforce by the south korean. Maho prove herself as a competent tank commander, just like in her highschool year when she practice senshado as her tank manage to destroy four north korean Choma-ho tank and two armored car. But for almost the entirety of the firefight, Maho had her head sticking out of the commander hatch, a habit she got during her time playing senshado. Her crew pleaded to her multiple time to get in the tank and close the hatch, but Maho kept saying that she'll be fine.

Maho would pay though for not listening to her crew as a sniper bullet struck her cheek because she refuse to get inside her tank. Thankfully the bullet only grazed her cheek and didn't cause any major wound but it did leave a long huge viseble scar on her face. But unfortunately, Maho accidentally knock herself when her head accidentally hitting the commander cupola when she ducked down for cover from the sniper.

Several hours later, she woke up in Seon medical center with a bandage on her head. A medic then come to see her and explain that she had a concusion and because of her injury, she will be out of action for the next three weeks.

Maho complain to her superior about this as she want to fight on the frontline. But her superior order her to follow the medic instruction to avoid further damage, so she reluctantly agree and stay in Seon medical center since then.

Knowing that her three weeks recovering time is almost over, Maho stand up from her bed and start walking out of the hospital towards the command center, which conviniently located just a short walking distance from the hospital.

As she reach the parking lot, she dozens of medical tent that have been set there to facilitate the incoming wounded and to prevent the hospital from overflowing.

She continue walking until she reach the hospital gate when suddenly a Humvee comes flying into the parking lot and almost hit her in the process. Thankfully she manage to step a way in time, she heard a faint "sorry" comes from the driver. The Humvee manage to stop before hitting a medical tent, Maho had the urge to scold the driver for being reckless in a hospital, yet stop herself when the Humvee back door open and two American soldiers comes out with their uniform soak with blood while carrying their wounded comrade who seem to have been shot on his left leg.

The image made Maho grimace, reminding her the situation she was in. She push the image of the wounded soldiers and continue to walk toward the command center.

Her walk toward the command center was accompany with the sound of gunshot and explosion in the distance, sometimes a fighter jet or an attack helicopter fly over her head heading for the frontline to provide air support for the ground troops. The streets she was walking on was surprisingly clean for a war torn city, no dry blood, no dead body, no rubles, nothing that indicated that this city have been at war for months, well the reason why is this part of seoul haven't been touch by the north korean in any way since this was in the south side of the Han river.

After a few minutes of walking, she finally reach the command center, which is a high school building that have been converted into a command center and houses high ranking officer.

Maho navigate her way through the school where alot of JSDF personel sitting in front of computer desk, monetering the battle with headphone stuck on their ear. Maho then stop walking infront of a office door, she took a deep breath and knock. "Come in" a feminime voice answered from inside.

Maho opens the door to the office. In the middle of the office was a desk with a Captain Ami Chono sitting behind it.

Maho quickly stand in position of attention and salute the Woman. "Lieutenant Nishizumi reporting for duty ma'am!".

Chono stand up from her desk and salute the young lieutenant back. "at ease lieutenant." at this Maho drop her salute. "please take a sit." Chono said while gesturing to the chair infront of her.

Maho sit down at the chair. "So i take that you are here to request to be sent back to the frontline?" Chono inquired.

Maho nodded. "yes ma'am. i've stayed in the hospital for far too long, i want to return to my unit as soon as posible and continue the fight against the north korean." Maho said passionetly.

"Very well then, but are you sure you're okay now?" Chono ask, worried for her subordinate.

Maho shakes her head dismissively. "I'm fine ma'am, i already took the three weeks break recomended by doctor. i'm sure i'll be fine." Maho told her.

Chono was silent for a while, thinking whether or not she should allow Maho return to the frontline. yet after much thinking, she made her decision. "Very well lieutenant, you have my permission to rejoin your unit. They're currently in station in a mall parking lot a few kilometers down the road, they haven't seen any combat since you were sent to the filed hospital."

This made Maho's eye lit up in joy, but she retain her profesionalism. "Thank you ma'am. i'll make sure the north korean pay for what they did." Maho said in graditute.

She then stand up from her chair and salute her , which the Captain return. She then turn around and walk toward the door.

"One more thing lieutenant!" Chono called out.

Maho turn around to face the Captain. "What is it Captain?" she ask.

"Please listen to your crew and keep your head down! Miho will have a panic attack once she find out what happend to you." Chono scolded.

Maho grimace at the thought of her younger sister found out that she almost died from a bullet through the head because of her own carelessness. "Don't worry ma'am, i will." she said. And with that she left the office and left the building for the parking lot to find her unit.

She then hitch a ride with a Humvee in order to get there. After ten minutes on the road she reach the mall parking lot where her unit was. she thank the driver for taking her there and took off to search for her unit.

It wasn't long before she found four Type 10 MBT park side by side and one of them was Kitsune, her tank. It's the first time she saw her tank after staying in the field hospital for three weeks and she was eager to operate it again. Not far from there, she saw two of her crewmate taking care of the tank. Both of them are known as the Kimura twins, The first one was Yua, she had a brown eyes and hair tied in a bun, she is the gunner of Kitsune and her twin, Akari was the driver, like her sister she had a brown eyes and hair but instead of tied in a bun she tied it in a ponytail.

Maho approach them with a smile on her face. "Hey guys." She greeted.

Both Yua and Akari saw Maho and stop what they are doing. "Hey lieutenant, good to have you back with us." exclaim Akari.

"Good to see you lieutenant, does your head still hurt?" Ask Yua.

"yeah, a little, but i'm fine now and ready for action." Maho told them.

"Well good to know then. but please, for the love of god keep your head down." Yua chided.

Maho sigh. "Yes, i promise i will keep my head inside the hatch. You're happy now?" she ask sarcastically.

Yua grinned. "Yup"

"Ok, with that out of the way, how's our Kitsune doing?"

"She's doing fine, all of her scratches have been repainted." Yua replied.

Maho nodded at her reply. She then approach her tank and inspect it, itseem normal and look like the last time she left it, aside from a little dent in the paint from gun fire everything else is fine.

"Lieutenant?" A voice called out to her. Curious, Maho come out of the tank and saw the person that's calling her was a fellow tank commander, Erika Itsumi who's a teammate of her during her time as a senshado athlete in high school and also her vice-commander. Erika quickly salute her superior

Maho return the salute. "Erika, is good to see you.' Maho said with a pleasant smile.

"Likewise lieutenant, it is good to have you back with us, and you return just in time, Colonel Musashi will brief us tonight for our next mission." Erika inform her.

"well, it's a good thing i came back on time then." Maho remarked.

"yeah, good thing indeed. why don't we catch up in the mess hall, i'm sure Kuome and Ritaiko would be happy to see you." Erika offered.

Maho nodded. "yeah, that sound nice."

And with that, all of them went to the mess hall to catch up with their beloved lieutenant.
