RITA

I can't help but be irritated at the way the Keeper talked to me. I'm good now! After the evil was destroyed, everything I did was gone - except for the memories. I still cringe inside at some of the things I did, but that's in the past. Absently, I watch Zordon pilot the ship out of the solar system. Once we're clear of the edges, it's less than two days home. We'd have already been well on our way except we decided to sleep in orbit before we headed home as Zordon seemed rather worn out from the trip, and if I'm honest, my slight altercation with Zedd when we arrived. Cringing and looking down at palm sized burn on my chest, I scowl slightly at my own carelessness. I knew Zedd would react badly to me using my magic on him, but I never thought he would have the power or anger over it to lash back at me as he did, even if unintentional.

"It'll heal." Not bothering to look up, Zordon however seems to know where my thoughts are. "Be glad he wasn't actually trying to hurt you."

"In fairness I wasn't trying to hurt him either you know."

"Magic doesn't solve everything my dear, maybe next time you want to know what's happening with him you should settle for simply asking him."

"Right."

Smiling slightly he shakes his head, "It's better than getting him riled up enough to accidentally burn you with his own power. Be glad Dulcea didn't notice as I don't think it would be Zedd that would end up getting the lecture."

"Well it hardly matters now. She refuses to allow me to help Thomas, and as far as Zedd goes I doubt I'll be interacting with him again anytime soon."

We're both startled when the communication system alerts us to a call.

"You certain about that," Looking to me as he connects to the source of the call, I'm surprised and a tad worried as I see it is from Andros' ship. "Go ahead," Zordon says.

"Zordon, it's Andros. We have a problem. Is Rita nearby?"

"Right here, Andros. What's wrong?"

"Tommy had a migraine - a severe headache." All right, I'm not certain why they called me for this, but if they feel I can help…

"I'm not certain I know how to solve that Andros, aside with perhaps some medication."

"While I recall him mentioning having such a thing one or twice, Jason had assured me it was a normal condition that occurred in their species at times. I remember scanning him the first time it occurred, but found no cause for it" Zordon relays calmly, but thoughtfully.

"Because it's not medical," Andros replies seriously. "Jason told us the same thing, but he also mentioned that he started having them after the Rangers broke the spell Rita had placed on him. Pina's medical scan didn't turn up anything so it was decided to try a magical scan." Oh no.

"Zedd scanned Tommy, didn't he?" Zordon snaps around to look at me, and by his gaze I know there will be far more trouble than just Zedd's temporary power burn.

"Yes." My heart sinks. I had forgotten about that, but now it comes back with startling clarity. I speak slowly.

"And now - he's back to the evil Green Ranger, isn't he?"

Andros' voice becomes urgent. "Anything you can tell us will help, Rita."

I can hear the shame in my own voice as I answer him. "When I first made him my evil Green Ranger, the spell was on the coin itself. The closer the other Rangers got to freeing him, the more worried I became that they would succeed. I put a spell on him directly that would be triggered by touching it with dark magic. It would give me a way to control him again. However the other Rangers freed him and Zedd came into the picture before I could use it. After a while, I just forgot about it."

"What can we expect and how do we get rid of it?"

I can feel my face redden. "Mostly just evil behavior. I doubt that anything else will happen with all that he's been through in the recent past. You and Jason should not get too close to him due to him being aware that you are Rangers, but hopefully if he recalls Zedd he will listen to and obey him if he tells him not to harm you."

"Zedd stopped him from harming Jason, and Tommy did obey, but it was done reluctantly. He started to protest until Zedd went all…well Lord Zedd on him and ordered him in no uncertain terms to go to his room and stay there until he said otherwise."

"If he obeyed Zedd's order you shouldn't have to really worry as if he does try anything else Zedd should be able to stop him." At least I would hope he would.

"Anything else like what?" Andros questions much to my unease.

"Just…you never know with these sort of spells, sometimes certain side effects can occur, or given the length of time it's been dormant in him it could weaken." By the power I hope it's weakened.

Zordon gives me a stern look. "Rita."

"Well, it's possible - barely really - but it's possible that he might - become aggressive."

"Given that he's currently evil right now, aggression isn't anything unexpected" Andros states seriously.

"Yes well… when I say aggressive, I'm referring more along the lines of sexually aggressive."

"What?!" I flinch at Zordon's tone.

"Human teenagers are susceptible to their hormones, Zordon. At the time, it made sense to exploit that weakness. I mean, he wasn't going to turn into a rapist or anything. If it had become necessary, I or Pina would have - gotten him back under control."

Andros sighs. "How do we get rid of it?"

"I could come back and do it."

"Do you really think they're going to want to see you after they hear this news?" Zordon says dryly.

I sigh, knowing he's right, not to mention the fact I do not wish to have to deal with not only an evil Ranger, but also a no doubt homicidal Zedd. "It should wear off by itself, but I don't know how long it's going to take. As I said this was mostly just a backup in case I needed it at the time. However given the time it's been dormant and the powers he has held since, it should not be more than a temporary thing. However as far as the actual length of time goes I'm uncertain. It could be a few hours, it could be after he sleeps, or it could be a week from now. It's just a matter of waiting it out."

"Yes well waiting may not be the best choice given he currently wishes to kill Jason and Jason in turn will no doubt refuse to leave until he is back to normal. Is there any other way?" Andros asks.

I bite my lip as I think, sorting through the details of the spell. "There might be, but I can't guarantee what'll happen if it even works."
